GAVIN
"What in the world?" I groaned and sat up, rubbing my head as if I could just take the pain off this way. I heard voices around me and this feels oh too familiar. "Gavin, are you alright?" I opened my eyes as slow as possible and saw worried and panicked faces. More worried if anything. "Please tell me I didn't pass out." I whined at them. I obviously did though. "You did but you're not the only one though." Ritsu pointed to the side and there I saw Timothy passed out by the couch. Then I remembered.
"Oh my lord." I fell on my back again and heard everyone panic. "Oh no no no no! Did he pass out again?" I heard Geneva asked frantically. I waved my head to reassure them I'm still conscious. She just said I have a baby in my stomach, but hold on..."Haru, how did you know I have a 'baby' in me? I mean I'm a guy!" I heard someone choke on their water and spraying it out and everyone else had scream at me.
"Bitch, wait what?!"
"Hold the fuck up, what did you just say?"
"I think I ate too much..."
"I guess I wasn't dreaming." All of my friends along with the family was now looking at me with wide eyes as if I have just said something crazy. Oh wait...I did, heh. Timothy finally got up and Brandon, the one being closest towards him, helped him a little. Looks like they didn't even ask Haru why the two of us suddenly passed out. "Haru, you sensed something was inside him?" Everyone then looked at Haru who looked really awkward, not feeling very comfortable with all the attention.
"Well yeah I mean every since the moment he came in. I sensed a tiny life and it wasn't towards the she wolves and when I looked at him, the feeling was just coming off of his stomach. I mean what else could that mean?" Ayaki called over her daughter and Haru stood by her mother. "Haru, you're still new and not used to your powers. Are you 100% sure there's life forming in him?" Haru looked at me and nodded. "Can you check again? Just to be sure, use your eyes Haru."
'Use your eyes?' I heard one of my friends asked. Our curiosity was then answered as Haru flashed us her red dragon like eyes. So that was what she meant...it looks really beautiful. "I'm sure." Everyone's attention was then focused on me once again. I can see the question written on all of their faces, but not so much on Brandon. Like last time a situation like this happened, Brandon was the only one who had a different expression. I saw him look at Hiromi who stared back. He seemed to understand what he was saying and excused his family.
"I think these younglings would like to have a talk with their friend. This is a private matter, we should excuse ourselves and start to clean up." Ayaki smiled at me along with Haru. Ritsu looked very curious and wanted to stay. Once the family went out my friends all surrounded me and stared. Very intently.
"So you're pregnant."
"So you had sex."
The twins both talked at the same time and I couldn't decipher who said what. "Tiffany! Wait Gavin are you okay? Oh my gosh you're pregnant...I mean is that even possible? How could you not know I mean.." Geneva ranted on and on and I understood that all of them had a lot of questions to ask. Even I don't know myself. "I don't know. I don't even remember what.."
My head finally snapped and I remembered. I had mated. Oh my fucking gosh. I wasn't even bitten to finalise my mark but I ended up being impregnated. How the heck am I suppose to tell them? Good Lord help me.
"Gavin? You okay?" I looked at Brandon and tears suddenly welled up in my eyes. Oh my gosh I'm pregnant and I'm not even fully mated. My baby doesn't have his other parent. "Oh no Gavin." The girls hugged me and I suddenly felt very filled up with all these emotions. "Is it your mate's baby? It's okay we can always go to them and tell them about the baby. You also have us to help you." I shook my head at the thought of going back to my mate. My mate who's Prince Calvin. "No, you know what I don't need to tell anyone anything. I have you guys and that's fine. I can do this."
All of them looked at each other and Timothy gulped. "Are you sure it's okay to not say anything? I know this is a sensitive topic but who's your mate anyway? You can tell us." I looked at them worriedly. "Umm.." I don't even know where to start. "Gavin's mate is very important person. Important enough that we won't even be able to easily have access on him. Let's just say he's a very high ranking werewolf." I looked up to Brandon very shocked at what he said and the other three looked very surprised.
"How did you know about his mate B?" I could ask the same thing. "It doesn't matter. Let's just say that I saw some things." This is something I'm definitely going to have to ask him again. "Well that does clear up some things though. Male wolves can only get pregnant if their mates are very high up in the society as those wolves need to reproduce in order to continue their families long lineage of noble blood. This person is definitely not just a regular alpha wolf like Geneva. This is a really old terminology to use but...is he a son of one of the Lords or Elder or the Council or just from one of the old blood wolves family?"
You might be wondering, why is it such a shock that a male is pregnant? Male wolves can be mated to other wolves but because of an old curse only a certain occasions could these mates carry. It was during a war where wolves and vampires were fighting. Now in the modern day it's obviously not a thing as all of the problems had been resolved but this was a very important part of our history. A male warrior, the greatest of them all had killed a pure blood vampire. Pure bloods are very respected and are the highest ranking vampire in their kind.
The warrior had killed this pureblood who had been one of the leaders of this war. It was seen as victory then and they thought that us wolves can finally win the battle. As they were heading out to help other groups fight in other parts of the country, they didn't realise that a woman was crying by the deceased body of the pure blooded vampire. For a pureblood to be with another kind was seen as taboo as purebloods should continue their kind of being pure. This two couple was finally being allowed freedom to be a couple as they wish but then he had to be killed.
Out of anger the witch had gone crazy and tracked down the warrior. After following them during their travel, she had realised that this warrior had a mate. A pregnant one that was a male as well. She had killed his mate by the lake. The mad woman cursed that no male wolf could no longer get pregnant and no male couples could breed like the warrior as a punishment for killing her mate which she was only starting to have an accepted relationship with. The male warrior had seen this happen and jumped and also killed the witch to try and stop her but it was obviously too late.
His mate had died. He cried and saw the fetus of his unformed child. He cried and wept and looked up at the sky and the bright full moon. He had begged and wished the moon goddess to help him. The water then went up shore and took the fetus. It was said that the water shone very brightly and out came a baby who had cried and cried. This baby was the first every Elder of our kind. Special children like him had then ended up growing up as our first group of elders. The moon goddess was said to be very powerful so she had fixed some of the witches curse allowing those of the higher ranking to provide an heir to continue their legacy. As she tried to fix them first, by the time she tried to fix the curse for all, it had not work.
The moon goddess is powerful but she couldn't fix everything. Nature has its way and let a part of the witch's curse come true. A spell has been casted and this was also kept the same to teach everyone a lesson. The witch was also from a family of nobility so it was thought that the witches were going to join the war but instead, they didn't do anything and everything came to peace afterwards. The war has ended and everyone grieved the story and the spell that was casted on the wolves.
The only way regular wolves can mate and have a child, when they are both males, is to try and find a witch that can be powerful enough to try and deflect the spell. This can only be done once by a witch and these witches are also very hard to find. But now with technology, surrogacy is another method. This is against the forces of natural pregnancy but you have to do whatever you can. This is also a procedure done by female partners.
I took a deep breathe and looked up at my eager friends. "You missed one." They looked confused but realisation finally hit them. I heard Brandon sigh, "I knew it." Tiffany looked confused and spoke up. "What do you mean we missed one? There's only the old blood, elders, council, lords or the..." Her eyes went wide her mouth opened in shock. "The prince." I said finishing her sentence. "Oh Gavin." I smiled at them and looked up. I stared at Brandon again and finally asked. "How did you know anyway?"
"Remember when you said you felt sick? I ended up going to the toilets as well since I need to pee. I got there but I smelt your scent to go even further down pass the restroom. I thought you were lost so I tried finding you to take you there since you were drunk. I just followed the scent and I got to this end of the hall with big door but guards who were about to go to the party for patrol saw me. They told me to get out of there as we were only supposed to be in the main hall. I asked why and they said it was the prince's quarters. Then the next day you just reeked of strong blood. It was too strong and I've been around an Elder. What could be more worse than that? Royal blood."
Wow. Well that's...interesting. I didn't know his senses were that heightened. "Since when were you so good with smells?" Geneva asked looking back. "I'm a warrior, my family had been a family of warriors since the beginning, let's say I'm a bit more special being the first son of the new generation. Looks like I got it as they gods knew I was going to be an important warrior. " He flexed at us and it finally broke some of the tension.
"What happened to everyone else?" They told me how we pretty much ruined the whole thing and people went home so that they could aid Tim along with myself. We have to give them something as an apology. We just ruined their whole party. "How embarrassing. I can't believe I fainted! I mean I'm not even the pregnant one." We laughed at Timothy complaining and settled ourselves down to not bother the family outside. Damn and now we're invading one of the rooms. "So you're really not going to tell him about the baby? I mean that is the prince's baby."
I looked at my not so grown belly and touched it. Then it suddenly hit me once again. Damn how many times has this happened already? I looked at my friends wide eyed and they looked really nervous and scared once again. Oh my god.
"I'm carrying the princess or prince of wolves."
