2nd year of Secondary.
Twelve years old
and pulling up my socks
on a bitingly cold morning.
The fog in my mind
hasn't cleared, even though it's been
almost two weeks now.
No one-
Mother doesn't answer me
when I ask her about Orsai.
"Time will tell, Harmony."
She says,
before turning back
to lock the door.
But I can't ask Time, can I?
I want to scream out the words,
scream them so my voice echoes
throughout our chilly, wet boulevard.
Mother herds me and Suki
into our car,
double checking to see if
we have everything we need.
Suki is quiet,
but I can almost sense
a sense of...
is that guilt?
She's not happy about
any of what happened either
and I see her brows crease slightly.
Oh, please let everything end.
A.N. We're 6 chapters into SaM and I want to hear your thoughts! What's your favorite chapter so far and what would you like to see more of, in the coming updates? More images, or maybe more characters?
Speaking of, I'm trying my best to add more depth into the side characters (because they matter too, right?) and SaM will have a few new + comeback characters making their appearances so keep your eyes peeled!
Ahahaha, I recently noticed that I have practically no British characters with the exception of Mr Whitaker and Mei's bullies (who were only mentioned in passing). So far, I've had characters from these places:
- Turkey (Harmony and her family, Aunt Eevie)
- Japan / Malaysia (Mei and Keiko)
- Albanian / Nigerian (Kiya)
- Japan / Turkey (Zaina and Miho)
- Algeria (Orsai and Aoissa) (Is it too late to change a name that don't go with it's originality???)
- Pakistani (Noreza)
Yeah, Aunt Eevie married a Japanese dude and had half cast babies (insert doe-eyed 'awwwww'-ing here). And yes, Orsai and Aoi are North African. And yup, Kiya is also half cast.(Gosh, I've got a lot of those haven't I?)
Anyway, back to what I was talking about!
