Nabanggit sa akin ni Ash na unspoken rule sa barkada na "bawal mag agawan ng babae." Hindi man girlfriend ni MM si Diana, si MM pa rin ang kanina pa nilalandi ni Diana so ..

"It's fine, guys. I mean, Diana's not mine so KC can have her," nagkibit balikat si MM.
If I hadn't known any better, I would think everythings fine.
Pero dahil ini-straight ni MM ang beer na hawak hawak niya pagkatapos niyang sabihin iyon, alam kong hindi siya okay.
Tahimik pa din ang lahat at hindi alam ang sasabihin. Maski si Ash tahimik lang at hindi nagsasalita.
Nagbukas ulit si MM ng bote ng beer.
"Really, it's fine. Cheers," pilit na sabi ni MM habang naka ngiti.
Napilitan akong itaas ang bote ng beer na hawak ko. "Cheers," malamyang sabi ko. Nag sunuran na rin ang iba.
Si KC at Diana naman, naupo na din sa wakas ng magkatabi.
Parang ayaw tanggapin ng lalamunan ko ang beer ng makita kong ini-straight ulit ni MM ang hawak niyang beer.
I can almost feel her pain and confusion.

Confusion because I'm pretty sure she had no idea what she was feeling. The pain, the sinking feeling on her stomach.

Then there's denial. Because you won't accept the fact that you like this person enough to be jealous.
The music continued and everyone pretended nothing happened.
Nakapaikot kami sa bonfire. Nag-iinuman at nagkakantahan.
As much as I don't like to associate myself with the girls they brought here, we had no choice. Ayaw naman matawag na killjoy because as far these people know, we are one big happy family.
Tapos nagkaroon bigla ng sayawan ... at halikan.
"What the fuck was KC thinking?" pabulong na sabi sa akin ni Max.
"I know, right? She must be out of her mind," napailing ako pagkasabi ko niyon.
Dahil busy kami ni Max sa pagbubulungan, hindi ko napansin na kanina pa pala nakatingin sa amin si Dylan. Si Axl naman kanina pa din nakatingin sa kakambal niya.
These past few days, Max, KC and I had gotten closer. We were tactile, especially Max and I. I just feel comfortable around her.
We just made sure Ash is not around to see it. Because we both know Ash is possessive as fuck. I'd rather not 'cause any issue between Max and Ash.
Max have enough drama as it is. What with Axl punching the fuck out of her face and Dylan shutting her out. She had no one besides her friends.
The thing is, sometimes we forget that there are people around us.
Katulad ngayon, hindi ko napansin na halos nakasandal na pala ako kay Max at nakahawak naman siya sa bewang ko.
Nabaling ang atensyon ko sa paligid ng bigla na namang magsigawan ang tropa.
Napataas ang kilay ko ng makitang may babaeng nagbibigay ng lap dance kay Ash.
Tumatawa naman si Ash habang umiiling. Na para bang nagulat pa siya at hindi makapaniwala.
Kunwari pa tong hayup na to. Gustong gusto naman. Hindi ko napigilang umirap sa kanilang dalawa. Napatawa naman si Max sa tabi ko.
Kunot noong binalikan ko siya ng tingin. "Are you making fun of me?" mainit ang ulong tanong ko.
"No, no no. Sorry," tanggi ni Max at umiling iling pa pero tunatawa pa din siya.
Inis na tinulak ko siya palayo sa akin.
"No!" Hinapit niya ulit ako palapit sa kaniya. "I'm not making fun of you, I swear. I just find it funny that you were jealous of that girl. She was nothing compared to you. Ash doesn't like her, I promise."
"Yeah? Is that right?" sarkastikong tanong ko.
"Swear." Itinaas pa ni Max ang kanang kamay niya na tila nanunumpa.
Napaismid ako. "That's what she told me before she made out with Sugar."
Natahimik naman si Max sa sinabi ko at nagkibit balikat.
Napailing na lang ako at tumayo.
I'm not in the mood for this shit.
Nakita kong tumayo si Max at sinundan ako.
I sighed.
So much for privacy.

I inhaled the smoke deeply into lungs. Hoping against hope that it will help ease my feelings.
I left the group earlier to have a breath of fresh air.
Yeah right, MM. Breath of fresh air? Like smoking?
I sighed.
I was so confused.
What the fuck happened earlier? Surely, I did not like Diana that much to feel that way?
If I hadn't stopped myself on time, I would've thrown the beer bottle to the two of them.
Even I, was so surprised of the anger I felt. But it was mostly pain.
Pain for what, I have no idea.
I chainsmoked two cigarettes before I felt a presence behind me.
I knew it was KC even before she circled her arms around me.
"Hey," she whispered in my ear. Her warm breath was making me feel things I've never felt before and I want to slap myself for it.
This is your bestfriend, MM. Chill the fuck out.
"H-hey," I croaked.
"You're not mad?" she whispered quietly.
I opened my mouth to answer. To lie to her and say it was fine when the truth was, I've never felt so conflicted in my life.
When I didn't answer, she hugged me closer to chest.
"I'm sorry, Em. I didn't know what came over me. I just can't stand the way she was shoving her ass on your face so I .. I -"
"So you kissed her, just like that." I finished.
I'm finding it hard to breathe with the way she was holding me. It was so tight. Like she doesn't want to let go.
"Do you like her?" I asked. It was none of my business but I asked anyway because I don't think I can sleep tonight without knowing.
"No!" KC exclaimed. "What? No, Em it wasn't like that."
"Why did you kiss her then? If it wasn't like that?" I tried to keep my voice calm.
To appear calm.
"I just .. I don't know! Alright? I don't fucking know," KC whisper shouted.
"Why are you getting so worked up? I was just asking!" I tried to get her arms off me but she wouldn't budge.
"I'm sorry, Em. Okay? I'm so sorry, please don't be mad at me. Please," she pleaded.
I stiffened when I felt her lips on my neck. Slowly working their way up at the back of my ear.
I feel hot all over. This can't be happening.
I bit my lips so hard I can almost taste blood.
"Case, what are you doing?" I asked but I couldn't stop myself from arching my neck to give her more access.
KC moaned and I suddenly opened my eyes.
When did I close my eyes?
Oh fuck no.

I turned around and was about to tell her to stop when she crashed her lips with mine.
I gasped.
Her tongue explored my mouth in an instant. One of her hands held my face and the other one was placed at the back of my neck.
Things happened so fast, I felt dizzy.
KC kissed me hungrily and I couldn't do anything other than respond.
She tugged me even closer and I couldn't help but moan.
This was new for me. Usually, I'm in control. I initiate the kissing with girls.
But this isn't just anyone.
This is KC.
My bestfriend.
My eyes widened at the realization and immediately pushed her away.
We stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity.
