I blink, and find myself in bed. The room's dark, except for the strong glow of the red moon. I'm instantly reminded of the old man, and groan, turning away from the light. First he bites me, then he calls me the Angel of Death and now he's going into my dreams? It's like a mix of a stalker and... killer?

Standing up and unwrapping the many blankets around me, I go for the bathroom. I need a nice steaming shower and a dreamless sleep before I can feel any better. I step into the shower and put the water on hot right away, not caring that the heat would be too much.

The effect isn't as great as I'd hoped, but at least I clean, right? I step out of the shower about a half an hour later and find Caleb already in the room and lying on his bed. He turns and his eyes meet with my own. "Why... did you do that earlier?" He sits up, and bites down on his lip, and I know instantly that he's talking about what happened in class with me and Iris.

Trying to act the ignorant one, I turn away from him and mutter under my breath lightly, "What do you mean by that?" I wrap a blanket around my cold skin and then look back up at Caleb. His black eyes glare at me furiously. "I'm being serious," I insist, keeping my eyes to the ground. "What do you mean by that?" The lie in my voice is so apparent, but I know I had to keep at it anyway.

"No. You know what I mean so stop lying. Why did you attack that teacher? And... how did you attack him?" I look up and there he is, only a few centimeters away from my face. "Be honest..." I push him away immediately without thinking and stand up to pace around the room.

What was I supposed to tell him? That I couldn't control myself and I think that the red moon is what's controlling me? I don't think so! "I AM being honest. You just won't listen to me," I respond coldly while looking out the window. The red light glares down at me, but at the same time I feel like it's calling me. "Can we please not talk about this?" I turn back to face Caleb, hoping that the desperation in my voice would convince him.

He sighs, hanging his head for a second before looking back at me. "I really don't know. I mean, for a simple person who has forgotten themselves, you sure are complicated." He laughs bitterly and I notice that now he's the one averting his eyes.

"Sorry, but it's not like I wanted to forget myself. I'd rather have my memories than be in a place with total complete strangers-no offense." I sit down beside Caleb now, deciding it safe to be close to him. I doubt he wants to ask any more questions so... "What are you going to do when I do remember?" I ask, realizing that maybe Caleb doesn't even want me to remember.

"I don't know myself. Give you some money to return to your home, or, if you want, you can stay with me?" This time I make sure to avert my eyes, for fear of seeing the hopeless begging in them. Maybe he does intend to keep me here with him.

"Leave that up to my head when I remember," I whisper softly. Almost as if intended to save me, my stomach growls from hunger. I laugh myself. "I guess I never had any lunch today?" I ask sheepishly, biting on my lip and hoping that Caleb would give in to the distraction.

"Let's go to the caf. I think they have pizza today," he replied, standing up from his rigid position on the bed. I couldn't help but smile when I saw that the seriousness in his face from earlier was replaced with a more carefree expression. That was better. "But don't think you're off the hook yet," he adds a second later, killing my good mood.

"Whatever you say," I grumble, following him out of the room. When we reach the caf, my eyes instantly lock with Tony's infuriated ones. The death glare he gives me was actually comparable to the monster things out in the woods. "How about we NOT go in there-" I start to say, but Caleb cuts me off by grabbing a hold of my arm and forcing me through the cafeteria doors.

"I don't think so. It seems Tony wants to talk to you," he whispers into my ear while pushing me forward. Man, if only you would understand that Tony CAN'T talk and I don't know how to give him his voice back! Caleb sits me down across from him before walking off to the lunch line for our pizza's.

I bite down on my lips nervously, keeping my eyes away from Tony's. "Where's my voice?" I jump up at the sound of his voice in my head and not coming from his lips. I look at Tony with wide eyes while he just glares at me. "I asked you, where's my voice." I think I would've shrieked right then and there if it hadn't been for Caleb sitting next to me.

"Hey, what's up?" he asks Tony casually, unaware of his muteness. I let my head fall onto the table, waiting for him to realize. Ah, I'm an idiot for thinking he wouldn't realize this one way or another. "Tony?"

"You're little girlfriend here took my voice earlier!" he hisses through his weird telepathy voice, making me cringe away. And then I realize what he just called me.

"I am NOT his girlfriend!" I state, forgetting completely that what he said was telepathic and probably not even meant for my ears (or in this case, head). "Oh... um, forget I said anything right now..." I whisper, looking away from the two very confused and wide eyed guys sitting beside and across from me.

"Wait, you actually HEARD him?"

"You HEARD me?" They say at the same time, one through Caleb's lips and the other through Tony's head. I cringe away yet again, before taking a large bite out of my pizza and keeping my eyes on anything other than them.

"Adela?" I shove another piece of the pizza in my mouth, keeping my eyes away from them, and am about take yet ANOTHER piece when Caleb takes it out of my hands. "What are you hiding?"

"She stole my damn voice!"

"It's not like I intended to!" I shout back accidentally, but instead of acting all, 'Oh no! I shouldn't have said that!' I grabbed my pizza slice back and bit into it again. I kept my eyes to the floor while Caleb, not the best mood reader, went on to playing twenty questions.

"How exactly did you take away his voice?"

"I don't know," I mumbled while chewing onto a pepperoni. "I didn't even have... control over myself," I murmured over another big chunk of my pizza. My eyes unconsciously looked to the red moon, and words began to fly out of my mouth. "The red moon is the only thing in control here, for all will break into chaos when it is to leave." And then I let out a groan as the bite mark in my neck begins to pulsate in pain. Stupid monster thingy!

"What the heck is that supposed to mean?" Tony asks from his head annoyingly. That causes my hands to move without my willing them to and point at Tony.

"Parlare," I mutter, and a second later am overcome by dizziness.

"How do you know Italian?" Tony asked right away, and then gasped when he realized he had his voice back.

"I don't," I mumble, closing my eyes. "That wasn't ME talking! I looked back to the moon. "It's that stupid moon! I don't know what exactly it's doing but it is annoying the hell out of me!" I hiss, glaring at it's red glow reflecting off the floor.

"Well-" Caleb starts, only to be interrupted by a booming voice across the room.

"THE LUNAR ECLIPSE DANCE IS IN TWO WEEKS! DON'T FORGET TO BUY YOUR TICKETS AND BUY YOURSELF SOMETHING NICE!" I raise an eyebrow at that.

"Lunar Eclipse Dance?" I ask, interested.

"Oh, yeah. There's a Lunar Eclipse here in Wisconsin every few years, and when it does come the school holds a dance during that day so that all the students can dance and watch as the moon eclipses. It's really amazing once you see it yourself," Caleb answers, completely forgetting what he'd been about to say.

"If only I could go," Tiny mutters annoyed. "I always have guard duty for those things! For ONCE I'd like to get a break!"

Caleb smirks as he looks down at Tony. "So you can dance with Iris, right?" I hear him say, though his lips don't move. So Tony's not the only one who can do that? I turn to see a very flushed Tony with wide eyes.

"NO! That is NOT why! I just... want a break."

I can't help but smirk as I join in with Caleb. "Yeah, a break that includes a certain girl who's name is the same thing as what you have in your eyes." Stupid, I know, but I couldn't think of anything that rhymed with Iris besides Papyrus, and that has an extra syllable!

Tony's eyes widen, before sighing. "I guess since I have my voice back, I have nothing to argue with you about, BUT, if you do ANTYHING to me again, I'm going to make sure you regret it," he says in the most menacing voice he could muster up, which I may say, was NOT menacing.

"Sure, sure," I reply, waving my hand. "Just go already Mr. Annoying Guard." I smile widely at the venomous look he gives me. Shaking his head, Tony stands up and walks away cursing at me under his breath. I would've laughed, had Caleb not said anything.

"So what's this about the red moon?" I let my head drop back onto the table, hating the fact that Caleb had a somewhat good memory. But not too good when it really came to it.

"Umm, let's just say it's very annoying and I don't know what else."

"You're not escaping me that easily," he responds, grabbing a hold of my chin and forcing me to look at him. "Now, what exactly is it with the red moon and you?"

Damn, he'll probably go nuts if I tell him that some weird monster thing is telling me to kill Iris, and the red moon seems to influence me into doing stuff that will in some way hurt/annoy/aggravate Iris with weird powers that I didn't even know I had. Plus, it makes me say random things I don't understand myself.

"Umm..." I say, stalling for time. "It... kind of... controls me?" I shrink away from him, biting down hard on my lower lip. "Just in case I do anything else out of character," I begin, looking at him straight in the eyes, "don't try and kill me or anything, just... knock me out?"

His brows scrunched together in confusion, but he nodded anyway, filling me with relief. "Sure thing," was all he said as he bit into MY pizza. After a while he just stopped biting into it, a look of distaste in his eyes before he stood up and went back to the lunch line. A moment later he came back with a red drink in his hand.

"What's this?" I asked, snatching it out of his hands. The red liquid sloshed around almost too slowly to be coolaid as I moved it around. I began to tip it forward to my lips for an experimental taste but Caleb instantly snatched it out of my hands, a look of bewilderment on his face as he looked between me and the drink. He then sighed, puzzling me a bit more.

"Um, Caleb?"

"Sorry," he responds, "It's just this is my medicine, and you can't exactly drink this or you might... get sick too." I raised an eyebrow, wondering what exact sickness Caleb had, but I wasn't in the mood for probing.

"Let's go back," I say while getting up from my seat.

"Y-yeah," he answer hesitantly, following me from behind as I walked to our dorm room. That's when a thought came to mind. I need to get my own dorm room. I'm kind of surprised nothing's happened with Caleb being a guy and I a girl and all.

"Hey Iris..." I began, really hoping that she wouldn't lash out at me. After what I did to her though... I kind of should expect something bad.

Orbs of ice glared up at me coldly. Her usual pale complexion was as white as a piece of paper, and I couldn't help but notice the way she looked half hungry, half deadly zombie with the way her muscles kept twitching as I sat next to her.

It made me feel so bad because for one thing I'M the reason she's like this, and she looks almost as bad as the monsters from the woods. Her appearance is like that of the living dead, and it makes it easier to believe the monsters words about killing her would end The Madness, whatever that was.

I bit my lip hard with my canines, hating the silence that passes on between us. You could probably try to cut the air with a saw and find it impossible because of all the tension surrounding us.

"Now, as most of you know, it's going to be the Lunar Eclipse Dance in exactly two weeks, and so all of next wee classes will be dismissed so that the preparations can be made and for students to have some time to pick out something nice to wear.

"Remember, the theme of this dance is Renaissance, so dress as fancy as you can! Caleb and Tony here," he smiled venomously towards the two guys, "will be passing out all of you're allowances after classes, so make sure to stay up a little later than usual so you won't have to wake up in the morning to get it. Also, if you want to help out in preparing for the dance, such as lights, decorations, even budget, please see me after class.

"And so, seeing as today is Friday, and this is your last class of the day, you may leave. But, expect a test on the Corvinus and Versulius in two weeks time!" I roll my eyes, sitting up from my seat. Look like this dance is some sort of huge thing to the school, or else the damn deadpan teacher wouldn't be THIS happy. But then again, he announced a test in two weeks, which means crazy studying on Sunday and Saturday. Damn, no wonder he's happy! He's making us suffer!

An arm suddenly snakes its way around my waist and pulls me up against a hard chest. "So, are you thinking of going?" Caleb asks, resting his head on mine. Annoyed with the gesture of familiarity, I push him off of me, and spin to give him a hard glare.

"Why should I go?" I reply stubbornly, raising one eyebrow in the process.

Caleb only laughs at me, before wrapping his arm around me again and dragging me out of the room. I decide not to push him away and follow, only to have my eyes lock onto black, empty holes not too far away from us. Angelo. His eyes bore into mine, and for some reason it makes me feel like I'm betraying him in some unknown way. I avert my eyes from him, accidentally pressing my face against Caleb's chest.

"-it's actually a really great experience, if you ask me. Especially since the moon's already red, it'll probably make it look cooler," he continues, not even noticing the small look exchanged between me and Angelo. And then I realize that he's talking about the moon so simply, like it's actually nothing at all to worry about.

"Cooler my ass," I add in, rolling my eyes. "No matter what you say, I am not going to go. You can't make me." I raise my head high to emphasize my stubbornness, which only earns me a laugh from Caleb. "I'm being serious! You and your stupid little super muscles won't be able to drag me there, no matter WHAT!" I don't know why, but a part of my mind was saying not to go for completely different reasons than just not wanting to go. A past experience maybe, that I still didn't remember. Damn, I don't think I'm actually remembering any of the IMPORTANT things!

"-give it a chance! It's just ONE dance! ONE!" Caleb continues, still not noticing my little internal battle. I roll my eyes for what seems the millionth time and sigh.

"That's your opinion, not mine. I just... don't think it'd be smart for me to go... that's all." Understanding creeps onto Caleb's features as he look down at me, before slamming a fake smirk onto his face.

"Sure, sure! Whatever you say, princess," he replies in the cockiest tone in the world that I can't help but stomp on his foot and then elbow him in the stomach.

I glare down at him with the evilest look possible, before stalking away towards our room. Ass. You don't even realize what the hell is going on in my head, or the fact that I have MONSTERS telling me to KILL someone! And I don't even feel bad about it! I sigh, shaking my head. Hopefully by this Lunar Eclipse Dance, everything will be done and over and I will finally be given some time to try and remember who I was before I got to St. Lawrence. Hopefully...

Technically this was supposed to be a continuation of the next chapter and then half of the next chapter, but i couldn't help but want to mash them into a single and seperate chapter instead, thus the long length. Also, i just want to alert you all that from now in, i shall be posting everything onto Black Rose, because as soon as i finish both (Black Rose and Eternal Rose) i will be melding it into ONE, and splittiing it into different parts, instead of having two books at the same exact time.

ALSO, new story i made recently, and i just want to say thank you Final Fanatsy and Rachel Kramer, the writer oif "Angels In The Alleyways". Yes, i was inspired by them, no it has nothing to DO with them (Ie, i have no demon hunts, or many demons AT ALL. and well, i know nothing about Final Fantasy, except that Zack dies at some point in Advent Children, so no copying there) but two simple words, "World" and "Angel" inspired it, and i just wanted to say thank you, in case you (Rachel Kramer or the creator of Final Fantasy) are reding this. (Also, people, can you please check out the prologue? It's not even a page!)

Oh yeah, VOTE!!!!
