Jessica's P.O.V
My stomach began to hurt probably because I was nervous about meeting Marni and Cayden's parents. I tried multiple times to slow down my heart race but everytime we got closer it would spike up again.
I wonder what his parents would think of me being half werewolf and behing their sons' bloodmate. It still shocks me thinking about it and I just found out. "It shouldn't even be possible.. " I muttered as we reached the bottom stair. Their mom approached us with a dazzling smile. "I hope you two kept the house together. Oh my who's this beautiful girl Cayden?" She asked.
I didn't know what to say about why I was here so I just looked down at the marble floor. "Mother.. Marni and I found her while she was in danger in the forest a few miles from here." he replied givjng my hand a gentle squeeze.
His mom didn't miss the gesture either, in fact she smiled more. "My name is Cameron. What's your name dear?" she said gazing down at me. Stand tall Jessica your strong. I remembered my mom telling me constantly when I was growing up.
I stood up fixing my posture. "Hello. I'm Jessica." I replied giving my best smile. She held out her hand for me to shake and I shook it. Her grip was soft yet a little cold.
It gave me chill bumps on my arms. Cayden was watching us with a thoughtful expression. Marni cleared her throat trying to ease the tension, "Where's dad?" She asked. I threw her a thankful look and she winked.
A man i'm guessing is their dad appeared by the door carrying a few bags and a purse. Cameron walked over and gave her husband a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for carrying my purse dear. I'll get the maids to carry the bags to our room." She said.
Maids? Who are these people? Their dad dropped the bags by the door before he noticed me.
Cayden was next to me in an instant. "Dad this is Jessica." He said. His dad looked me over then smiled. "Why the poor girl looks terrified." He joked. "I'm Max. Nice to meet you Jessica." He said.
Cameron walked into the kitchen with Max trailing behind her.
Marni's phone rang, "Hey Natasha! No we're not busy today you can come over." She said. Cayden tensed beside me.
"Marni. She can't come over today." Cayden spoke through gritted teeth. Marni smirked. "She deserves to know about your ..bloodmate." She said.
A glass dropped in the kitchen. "Oops.." Marni said grabbing my arm and running upstairs.
I was too afraid to look back but I saw Max leave the kitchen to talk to Cayden. "Whats th- " Marni cut me off putting her hand over my mouth.
"I won't be able to hear if your talking right now." She whispered releasing me. I sighed. This is going to be a long afternoon..
Allie's P.O.V
So I'm comming home to the place where I belong
Daughtry is currently playing on my iPod. I chose to ride with Branden because I felt close to him already. He's supported me since I told him everything else that happened during that phone call that I made sure not to tell Michelle yet.
Turns out that the guy I spoke to wasn't a cop. He was a special type of doctor. I asked him what kind of doctor he was but he said he couldn't tell me if I hadn't shifted yet. I still don't really belive him but i'm not sure what to believe anymore.. Then a thought came to mind.
I took out my phone and searched the word shift. A few scientific definitons came up on google but there was a link with the word werewolf. I frowned clicking on the werewolf shift link.
Shift: supernatural creatures said to be descended woves in bigger sizes; phasing or shifting from a human to animal form.
I stopped reading after that. No. Werewolves aren't real there is no way they could even be real.
I snorted saving the bookmark then exiting out the page. Branden looked over at me, "What's so funny Allie?" He asked confusion clear in his voice.
I tossed my phone back in my purse on the floor between my feet. "Nothing I just got curious and looked up this word.." I said starting to laugh.
"About what?" He said raising an eyebrow. "Werewolves going through some kind of shift" I chuckled. Branden didn't laugh. He didn't even smile.
I stopped abruptly. "What did they say about werewolves?" He asked me.
"Nothing just .. What's going on? You don't think they're real do you?" I replied back.
He didn't answer. "Yes. I do think they're real." He said quietly. I stared at him. "Wha-Why ?" I demanded. He pulled out his phone dialing Alex. "Alex. I'm going to pull over for a minute okay? We're gonna stop so I can show her. Yeah you and Michelle pull over too. It's better this way. Yeah bye." He hung up pulling over to the side of the rode.
Something in the back of my mind told me to stay calm but I had no idea what Branden was doing.
He sighed, turning his head towards me. Our eyes met. "Do you trust me Allie?" He grabbed my shoulders forcing me to look into his blue eyes.
I could only manage a nod. "I'm going to need you too stay a few feet away from me alright? I'll explain afterwards." I gulped sweating bullets. "Okay.. " I said in a shaky voice. Alex and Michelle pulled up in front of us, getting out the car to meet us.
Michelle ran to my side trying to comfort me. "Okay what the hell is going on here? Why did we stop?" I asked my voice raising higher.
Alex and Branden exchanged guarder looked then nodded. Branden gave me a sad smile. "You need to know what we are Allie. But you have to trust me." He said his eyes pleading.
I looked back at Michelle she nodded. I looked back at Branden and Alex standing a few feet away now. "Fine." I said crossing my arms.
Alex and Branden began stripping themselves of their clothes. "Wait! " I called covering my eyes, "Calm down Allie we have to take our clothes off. Close your eyes for now." He commanded
Michelle was pulling me into her arms now. "Allie look at me instead okay? Whatever they have to show us just means they don't want to keep it from us so we can at least let them explain right?" she asked.
"Right, " I replied barely above a whisper.
Branden's P.O.V
I removed all my clothes and shifted on the grass area, so did Alex. His mind connected with mine as he took his clothes in my mouth with his teeth. I picked up mine tossing them on my back.
You think they will try and run? He thought
No..they are our mates so they deserve the right to know. This way Me, You, Kyle, Kaylee, Selena, Melissa and Myles don't have to keep it just between us leaving them in the dark.
He nodded. Your right Branden. Well here goes everything. I chuckled. How optimistic of you Alexander.
He barked a laugh. Whatever. I barked a little louder to get their attention. Michelle and Allie's head snapped up looking us over. Allie just stood there frozen. She had all kinds of emotions radiating off her body I could feel. Fear, Excitement, Confusion, Happiness.
Michelle actually smiled even though her eyes were bigger than baseballs. It made me laugh. This is going to be so much funnier the first time they shift eh ? I joked. Alex laughed again causing Michelle to look at him. "Alex?" She called taking a step forward.
Alex crouched closer laying on his belly to show her he meant no harm. Allie took a deep breath.
"Well..guess this is why my joke wasn't that funny huh? " She said to me. I smiled showing my teeth. She giggled walking full steps until she reached me. Her hand hesitantly reached out to touch my fur. I inched closer laying down on my front paws.
"Aww! Your cute in a ..wolf form. Is that how you say it? " She said eyeing me. I nodded.
Allie sat next to me on a log stroking the fur on my head. I purred rolling on my side. Michelle burst out laughing. Alex poked her backside with his nose. She stopped herself. "Sorry.. it just looks like Branden is getting turned on by the way Allie is petting him. " She chortled with laughter
Allie's face went red. She tried to cover her face in my fur. I laughed shaking her. She ounched my shoulder blade lightly. "Shut up Branden, " She whined.
Alex sat next to Branden his tail wagging freely. Michelle smiling scratching behind his ear. He leaned his head into her palm. "So..how did this happen to you guys? " Michelle said. It's not like we could answer her so we just shrugged. Allie came up from laying on me. "Oh! Maybe like in Twilight they were born that way" She said.
Of course. We get compared to that hollywood movie. I nodded but rolled my eyes. Allie took out her phone taking a picture of us. I looked at her puzzled. She shrugged. "It's my new screensaver."
I laughed then got up trying not to bump into her then ran towards the forest. Alex trailed after me stopping by a tree to shift back. We both shifted and started putting our clothes back on then Allie came out of nowhere running towards me.
I only hand on my boxers and jeans but I don't think she really cared about that. She jumped on me hugging me tightly. "You left!" she said kissing my cheek. "I had to shift back and change so we could talk and get back on the road." I replied blushing.
She snuggled into my neck so I carried her back to the car. I had no idea where Alex was but I got a few images through our mind link of them kissing. Ew would you hurry up and get back to the car? We gotta go! I shouted annoyed. It had to be now that they would be mking out in the woods. Go figure.
Allie looked around once I set he ron her feet. "Where's michie and alex? " she asked.
"Busy lip locking.. " I muttered. She blinked. "Oh." She said.
"So do you..have any questions or anything? I'm really sorry we didn't tell you sooner Allie we were going to wait until you guys shifted your first time." I said.
"What do you mean our first time? We're not werewolves Branden.." Her eyebrows pinched together. "Allie.. you are werewolves. You get it from your dad." I said softly.
"Really?" She chirped. Only Allie could be excited about something like this. "Yes Allie really." I mocked her. She smiled at me. Then she kissed me. I didn't waste any time kissing her back.
She pulled away still smiling. "Branden I just want you to know.. no matter what you are I still want to be with you." She said touching my cheek.
A weight has been lifted off my shoulders! I sighed pulling her closer to me. "There is something you need to know Allie. " I said holding her. "What is it?"
"Well..werewolves have..soul mates. You know people you want to be with forever." I said. She frowned. "Oh..have you found your mate?" She said stepping back from me.
I held her looking into her eyes. "It's you Allie. Your my mate." I grinned. "Oh thank God!" She said wrapping her arms around me. We both laughed.
Michelle's P.O.V
I ran through the forest looking for Alex. Boy do I have some questions for him once he shifts back..
I pushed a few bushes out the way then I saw him, naked. "Al- " I stopped putting my hand over my mouth. My cheeks flaming from embarrassment. "I'm sorry!" I turned away from what I had just seen.
I heard laughter making my cheeks burn more. "Like what you see Elle ? " Alex asked me putting his hands on my waist. I turned around still in his arms. "I'm jealous.. " I muttered against him. "Why?" He prodded. "You get to transform and I don't" I huffed.
Alex chuckled. His breath tickling my earlobe. "Actually you do shift Elle, when you turn 18." He said kissing my neck in various places. I held back a moan. "Mmmhm. " I said.
"You know..this is bad. I have a mate." He said from behind me. I groaned. "Who?" I asked glaring at him. He kissed my nose grabbing my hand. "Let's go back to the car. I'll explain on the way." He said. "I still want to know who Alex ! " I said. He looked in my eyes. "You are Elle.Now keep up."
I gawked at him. Me?
