Chapter sixty six.

EMMA’S POV:
It’s been a few weeks since Harry and I told Anne the truth about our relationship and ever since then things have changed between Harry and I and I’m not too sure why.
Harry’s been very distant and well honestly we’ve only sex about twice in two weeks. Which is very strange for us, we’re usually at it as often as possible.
He always seems uninterested in conversation and the little kisses and cute moments we usually have seem to have disappeared. Some nights he doesn’t even hold me close anymore.
He’s breaking me again… and this time I don’t even know what’s going on.
I feel like shit, I feel worthless and broken.
On a much brighter note I open up my tattoo shop in two days and I couldn’t be more excited about it. I’m a little worried about how many people will actually come to the shop but well Andy has been recommending me a lot which I totally didn’t expect him to do considering he’s potentially losing customers by doing so. The press have covered the shop a fair bit as well so hopefully I’ll get a few customers.
Right now I’m sat watching TV alone Harry went out to see Louis a while ago so I’m just waiting for him to get home. Although even when he is home it’s like he’s not because of all this distance.
HARRY’S POV:
‘’Am I doing the right thing Lou?’’ I sigh taking another sip of coffee before meeting his eyes.
‘’ I really don’t know Harry, I think there would have been better ways to go about it, this all just seems very hurtful’’ he tells me.
‘’I know but this choice is a good thing right?’’
‘’Good for you? Yes … good for Emma? I’m not so sure’’
‘’ What if I’ve hurt her again, as much as this is the right choice for me to make I just don’t want to hurt her again’’ I groan running my hands through my hair.
‘’Exactly my point Harry, she doesn’t need any more shit in her life, she’s had more than her fair share’’
I nod knowing Louis is right.
‘’So what do I do?’’ I ask him.
‘’Well you’ve got two choices, either stop acting all distant and go back to how the two of you were a couple of weeks ago all happy and loved up. Or go ahead with the plan and hope for the best’’ Louis shrugs.
‘’This is so difficult’’ I moan.
‘’You got yourself into this mess Harry’’ Louis chuckles.
‘’Should I stay in tonight on standby in case I get a call from Emma all broken and crying again?’’ Louis asks.
‘’As much as I hate to say so, yeah you probably should if you don’t mind’’ I admit.
‘’I don’t mind, Emma is my friend. In fact right now I prefer her to you, I really think you’re going about this all the wrong way’’
‘’Ouch’’ I say mocking being hurt by Louis words.
‘’I better get home and put the plan into action’’ I sigh standing from the table in the coffee shop.
‘’Yeah ok, good luck I guess’’ Louis smirks waving me goodbye.
EMMA’S POV:
I’m in the middle of watching some mind numbing reality TV when I head the front door open.
‘’Hi’’ I mumble not really looking at Harry.
‘’Hello love’’ he says smiling weakly.
‘’Go get ready we’re going out’’ he instructs.
‘’Really where?’’ I ask.
‘’Dinner as a celebration for the shop opening soon’’ he smiles a little more genuine this time.
‘’Oh okay’’ I smile back heading to the bathroom to start getting ready.
Maybe Harry feels bad for how he’s been acting lately? Maybe this dinner is to get us back on track?
I hope so anyways.
Once I’ve showered I straighten my hair and apply my usual make up.
I decide to wear a black skater dress with a cut out flower design at the top exposing a little of my cleavage.
I slip on some heels and grab my bag.
‘’You look lovely’’ Harry smiles standing up from sitting on the bed. I would usually take what he just said as complement but something about it didn’t sound right, he usually calls me beautiful before we go out not ‘lovely’.
He’s wearing black skinny jeans without rips in for once and a white dress shirt, this is Harry’s fancy dressed up look.
He runs his hand through this hair and pull’s his lip ring between his teeth, these are his classic nervous characteristics. Something’s definitely going on.
The journey to the restaurant is silent like most of our car journeys but this time it was an awkward silence when usually it’s a nice comfortable silence.
During dinner we have a couple of light conversations about nothing much really, the food, current events and other boring shit we usually never talk about.
Maybe I was wrong maybe Harry isn’t trying to fix things between us.
We’re currently waiting for desert and Harry clears his throat as if attempting to catch my attention.
I look up at him to find his eyes already one me, he takes my hand in his and looks at me his eyes deep and pained. I’m more than worried right now.
‘’I umm have something to tell you’’ Harry stutters a little.
I nod silently encouraging him to go, inside I’m screaming at him to hurry the fuck up because he’s stressing me out.
‘’The contracts over’’ he says his voice clear.
‘’What?’’ I gasp surely this is a good thing right? It’s what we’ve always wanted.
‘’I managed to convince my mum it was for the best’’
I smile and am about to tell him how please I am when he speaks up again. This time I’m not pleased with his words, I’m devastated, I’m well and truly broken.
‘’Emma I don’t want to be your boyfriend anymore’’
