Recap:

“So this is actually a perfect time to tell Harry the good news boys.” Leeroy said.

“What?” Harry said confused.

Harry started tossing his curls, signaling a slight sign of nervousness.

I intertwined our hands, giving them a reassuring squeeze.

“I signed you boys up to audition for X-Factor!” Leeroy clapped excitedly.

My jaw dropped.

“That show Emily watches?” Harry said in confusion.

I couldn’t even nod in response I was so shocked.

“Yeah. I think you boys could really win.” Leeroy said.

“I think it would be great! Think about it Harry! Selling out arenas.” Niall said in awe.

“I mean… it sounds great but… what if they split us up? What if we don’t make it?” Harry asked.

“I think we can make it Harry.” Zayn said.

“If you boys think we can, then I’m in. When is it?” Harry asked.

“Next week. I’ll email you the paper work and just fill it out and give it to me before you boys audition.” Leeroy told him.

“Great. Hey how’s Lux?” Harry asked Louis.

“Great. She’ll probably stay the night my mum said.” Louis said.

Harry

“Okay um…” I started to say but Niall cut me off.

“Let’s go to a club and celebrate!” He cheered.

“Yeah. I could use a buzz.” Emily agreed.

I looked at her oddly. Emily didn’t drink.

“I have a game tonight.” Liam interjected.

Oh yeah.

“Well I say we go to the game and tomorrow night go out clubbing.” Louis shrugged.

“Perfect! See you guys later! Come to the game or I’ll kill all of you.” Liam chuckled.

“Got it man.” I have him a hug as they left.

“Great! Get ready! Be back soon!” Zayn clapped and climbed off the bed.

“Buzz?” I said when the guys left.

Emily said nothing, just got up and started rummaging through her closet.

She pulled out three dresses.

One black, one red, one silver.

“Which one for tomorrow?” Emily asked.

“Um… what’s wrong with pants?” I asked.

She narrowed her eyes.

“Black is hotter.” She said before picking up the dress.

I cringed.

I’m all for my girlfriend looking hot but… clubs meant guys. Other guys.

She set the dresses aside and grabbed a new shirt.

Emily slipped off her top.

I smirked slightly. Her bra matched her underwear; stars.

“Are you laughing at me?” She crossed her arms.

“Maybe.” I teased.

She smiled slightly.

I grabbed her bare waist and pulled her closer to me.

“Things won’t change… I promise.” I told her.

“What are you talking about?” She looked confused.

“I know you’re worried. You bite your lip when your nervous.” I pointed out.

She unhooked her bottom lip from between her teeth.

“Oh.”

“You have nothing to be worried about.” I assured.

“Even if we don’t make it… will you forget me?” She asked.

“I never will forget you Emily Rae Hale. Don’t think it’s possible.” I smiled.

Emily surprised me when she kissed me.

“I love you.” She smiled.

“I love you more.”

“Are we really one of those couples now?” Em laughed.

“Yes.” I tapped her nose.

“I’m still wearing the black dress.” She stated.

I groaned and twisted her around, pinning her under me on the bed.

“Maybe I won’t be complaining.” I nuzzled my face in her neck.

I began endlessly biting and kissing parts of her neck, teasing her earlobe with my teeth.

She let out pants and a moan here and there.

“I have... to- get ready.” She said between pants.

I pressed my lips to hers.

“I’d rather just make out.” I stated, now slipping my tongue in her mouth.

She gasped for breath when I moved back to her neck.

“Harry. Seriously.”

I lifted my head up.

“Why? Because I’d rather just make out with you on the bed. You’re really hot without a shirt.” I smirked.

She pushed me off.

“As appealing as that sounds, you’re going to get ready.” She poked me as she sat up.

I gave her one last kiss then rested my forehead on hers.

“We’ll make it. I promise. Not just the boys; us.” I said before I left.

*  *  *

I had Emily pinned under me on the couch of my living room.

“You’re not wearing my hoodie.” I shook my head.

“Why not? I’m your girlfriend.” She stuck her tongue out.

“Because it’s my favorite.” I groaned.

“And?” She pouted.

I tapped her nose. She was so cute when she pouted.

Seriously though any more buckling of her hips and she’ll start something I’ll have to finish, if you get my drift.

“If I give you something, can you just wear another hoodie of mine?” I asked.

She looked at me. “Depends.”

I got off of her and stood her up.

“Close your eyes.” I whispered.

She did as told.

I unhooked the paper airplane necklace from my neck.

“No peaking.” I teased.

I slipped it over her head and clasped it behind her.

I gently pulled her hair out of the chain.

“Open.” I nibbled on her ear.

She looked down and grabbed it.

“Your necklace?” she whispered in shock.

“Yeah. I was going to give it to you anyways. If… we don’t make it… promise me you’ll wear it still.” I hugged her from behind.

“I promise.” She nodded.

She turned around and pressed her lips to mine.

I responded to the kiss, pulling her closer to me.

“Okay if you two are done playing tonsil hockey,” a familiar voice called. “We have a game to get to.” Louis said.

I pulled away from Emily, leaving a slight whimper at her lips.

I smirked at her.

She blushed, realizing what she did.

“One second.” I told Louis.

I grabbed my purple Jack Wills hoodie and slipped it over Emily.

“You’re still going to let me wear your favorite hoodie?” She smiled slightly.

“Course I was babe.” I smiled at her, twirling a piece of her hair.

She smiled.

“Let’s go before I throw up!” Zayn shook his head.

I rolled my eyes and slipped on brown leather jacket.

Football time.

*  *  *

“Interception!” Emily shouted in joy.

I laughed at her.

What girl was this into football? Only Emily.

She sat back down.

“This is kick ass!” She laughed.

“Glad you’re enjoying it.” I slipped an arm around her waist.

She snuggled more into me.

“Why are you so warm?” she sighed.

“No idea.” I shrugged.

She slipped her hand in mine.

“And your hands are soft. Things about you are just so abnormal.” She smiled and looked up at me.

“But in a good way.” She added.

I laughed at her.

“You’re cute.” I pecked her nose, which she scrunched up. I love when she does that. She does it often.

“One more touchdown and they win! It’s all up to Liam.” Niall said, beside Em.

We watched as Liam rushed to the left side, only to see he had no blockers, so he ran back.

Being Liam, he managed to out run the right side and made it all the way to the end zone.

We shot up and cheered.

“Go Liam!” Emily and Niall shouted.

“Whoo!” I yelled.

We won the game.

*  *  *

“That was sick.” I patted Liam on the back in congratulations.

“That was so amazing Liam!” Emily pulled him in for a hug.

I could say I wasn’t jealous, but Liam was always nice to Emily when I wasn’t. So I see why she was close with him…

“I’m so proud of you!” Liz hugged him and kissed him.

They were really nice together.

“Well we’re still celebrating everything tomorrow! I just want to go rest now.” Liam chuckled.

“Bye.” Emily gave him another hug and we were off.

*   *   *

I came back to Em’s house the next day.

She had on a strapless black dress. It was tight, top cut low.

And I may or may not be drooling right now.

“Like?” She twirled around.

She curled her hair.

“You look… wow.” I shook my hair.

“You too.” She played with the buttons on my black shirt.

Seriously Emily looked too hot for words.

“We’re alone tonight…” She played with my curls.

A smirk played at my lips.

“And?”

“I think-” The doorbell cut her off.

I groaned.

“The boys are here.” Emily tugged my arm.

“Let’s have fun.” She smiled before walking downstairs.

“Wow Em. You look hot.” Louis said.

I glared at him.

“What?” He shrugged.

“Where’s Eleanor?” I asked.

“Relax. She’s in the car. Ready?”

We followed Louis out; Emily closed the door and locked it behind us.

“Here.” She handed me the keys and her phone.

We slipped into the SUV.

Inside was Liam driving, passenger seat was Liz. Middle was Niall, Zayn, and Perrie.

Then the back was Louis, Eleanor, and Emily on my lap, since there wasn’t enough room.

I loved the fact Emily kept tugging her dress down on my lap.

“It’s not working.” I whispered in her ear.

She stuck her tongue out at me.

“I’m Eleanor by the way.” El stuck her hand out to Emily.

“Emily. Nice to meet you.” Emily smiled.

“Oh and I’m Perrie!” Perrie turned around in her seat.

“Nice to meet you.” Emily smiled.

She put her lip between her set of teeth.

“Tonight’s going to be so fun!” Perrie clapped.

“Perrie goes clubbing more often than I do so you can tell I’m out of place.” El laughed.

Emily nodded, understanding.

You can tell Eleanor was more uncomfortable than Emily.

By her dress. She wore a pink dress. It wasn’t even tight.

Perrie knew what she was doing.

She wore a tight red dress that put Emily’s to shame. Which I was glad about because maybe Emily wouldn’t feel so showy tonight.

I thought about Emily’s low cut dress until a question popped in my mind.

“You are wearing a bra right?” I whispered in her ear.

She shook her head.

I sucked in a breath.

“You are making this really hard.” I teased her.

I just hoped no guy was too drunk to pull down her top. Not that they’d have time to look while I punched them in the eye.

Once we pulled up to the club, we all piled out.

I hooked an arm around Emily’s waist.

“This is an over 21 club.” Emily told me.

“I know. Zayn knows the bouncer.” Harry nodded.

Zayn did a little handshake with the bouncer before he let us in.

“Want a drink?” I shouted over the music.

Emily nodded.

Niall put a hand on her back and ushered her to followed him.

I tried not to grit my teeth as I got the drinks.

Emily

“Where’s Leeroy?” I asked Liam.

“He’s not the clubbing type of guy.” Liam shrugged.

I didn’t blame him. Neither am I.

I debated on drinking, to get the competition thing off my mind, but I decided against it since I hated drinkers.

Liz rested her head on Liam’s shoulder.

“Wanna dance Em?” Perrie asked.

I shrugged.

Might as well enjoy tonight.

Eleanor and Liz followed us.

Perrie started swaying her hips to the Eminem song.

“Well aren’t you a cute one.” A guy said from behind me.

I turned.

“Um… thanks?” I said awkwardly.

“Wanna dance?” He asked.

The guy had blonde hair and dark brown eyes.

“Um… I have a boyfriend.” I shook my head.

“So?” He stepped closer.

I stepped backward.

“Hey buddy.” A voice called.

The guy turned around.

“You have three seconds to get away from my girlfriend before I make you regret it.” Harry threatened.

The guy glared and walked off.

“I leave you alone for two seconds and you’re already in trouble.” Harry chuckled into my ear.

I blushed.

“You know where that dress would look even hotter?” Harry whispered to me, leading me back to the table.

“Where?”

“My bedroom floor.” He smiled at me.

I blushed.

Cheeky bastered.

I went to sit with the rest of the guys. I was not a dancing girl.

“One dance.” Harry pulled me back into his chest.

“No.” I shook my head.

“Come on.” He pulled me anyway.

Times like this I question my boyfriend.

Harry twirled me around and put his face in my neck.

He whispered the chorus of the Emily Osment song to me.

“Let’s be friends so we can make out.” His smirk was plastered against my neck, I felt it.

I laughed and shoved him back.

“You never give up do you?”

“Hmm… no.” He smiled, those adorable dimples showing.

I pinched his cheek and finally got him to sit down.

In a matter of twenty minutes, these guys were drunk.

Seriously what happened?

“Drinking games.” Harry said, as if reading my mind.

“I’m not that drunk.” Perrie slurred.

Perrie was definitely a party girl.

I laughed at her.

“I need another shot.” She slipped herself from the table, tugging her dress down.

She was one of those girls? Hmm… never pictured it. Note a tad of sarcasm.

“I take it I’m driving?” I winced.

“I don’t think so.” Harry shook his head at me.

“Well you’re drinking.” I pointed to his, unnamed drink. Give me a break. I was 16, a sophomore, I didn’t drink.

And yes, some of us were still out there.

“It’s virgin.” He told me.

“Oh.” I looked down. I felt dumb.

“Here.” He slid it over to me.

“I think not.” I shook my head.

“Come on Em. What? Too much of a good girl?” He teased.

“Nice try. I’m not trying that drink.”

“You’re going to taste it tonight anyways.” He smirked.

“Can I get ya’ll anything else?” The waitress asked.

“Drink for her.” Harry pointed to me.

“What kind? You look like a Sex on the Beach kind of girl.” She nodded, flipping a blonde piece of hair over her shoulder.

“Water is fine.” I nodded.

It just made me feel… misplaced around the boys.

I mean Zayn and Louis were outside smoking. And everyone else but me is drinking, Harry semi included.

“I’m going to step outside for a second.” I said, sliding out of the booth.

Harry nodded.

I walked outside and leaned against the brick wall.

“Hey Em. What’s up?” Zayn popped up.

“Oh. Hey Zayn.” I smiled slightly.

“What’s wrong?” He furrowed his eyebrows, taking a drag of his cigarette before disposing of it.

“Nothing.”

Lie.

“Come on Em tell me. Hey, I won’t even tell Harry.” He nudged me.

I looked down for a while, silent.

“I’m not most girls.” I stated.

“Well… no shit.”

I cracked a smile.

“No,” I leaned on my side, looking at Zayn. “Perrie is drinking and dancing, totally care free. I wish I had that confidence. Seriously even Eleanor had a drink in hand. I’m not the ideal girlfriend. I can see Harry’s kind of… not ashamed but not exactly appealed to my non-breaking-law-ways.” I said.

“Emily, Harry really cares about you. I’m sure you being a total virgin isn’t going to kill him.”

“I’m not a virgin!” I blurted.

Zayn raised his eyebrows up.

“You’re not? Wow, didn’t take you for that kind of girl-” “I’m not.” I shook my head.

“Look, I gotta go Zayn. Thanks… I guess.” I said before going back inside.

I kinda just wanted to go home.

Harry’s leaving. All the boys are. I’ll be alone again.

I’ve gotten so used to not being alone. I was almost dependent on Harry now.

He’s had way too much affect on me.

The way he kissed me, lingered my body with his fingertips.

I sighed.

I wasn’t Emily anymore.

I gave one last look at the table.

Harry was laughing and goofing off with Niall.

I sighed.

I’d miss them a lot. More than I wanted to admit.

I walked outside.

I hailed a taxi.

“Goodbye Harry.” I whispered, rubbing my arms up and down.

*  *  *

I pressed ignore the 5th time on my phone for one of Harry’s calls.

When I came home, I wiped off all my make up and took the outfit off.

The normal Emily cringed at the thought of myself in that dress.

I was in a pair of shorts and a shirt.

The bad thing? It was Harry’s shirt.

The doorbell rang.

Who could that be? It’s only ten but still that’s odd.

I looked through the peep hole.

A woman stood there, slightly showing of an early pregnancy.

I opened the door.

“Hello?” I answered.

“Oh hi! Are you Emily?” She asked.

“Yes I am. Who are you?”

“Oh I’m Louis mom, Johannah!” She said.

“Oh hello.” I smiled slightly.

“I came to drop Lux off. Harry told me to swing by and drop her off here since their aunt is coming for Lux in the morning.”

“Wh-what?” I stammered.

“Yeah. Harry must’ve forgot to tell you. Susan is coming in the morning. Or maybe tonight who knows? Probably tomorrow though. Oh! Susan is Lux’s God mother but they call her Lux’s aunt. We went to school together. But anyways I just came to drop her off.”

“Oh okay. Where is she?”

“Asleep in the car. I’d get her but-” She rubbed her stomach.

“I understand. I’ll get her.”

I slipped on some slippers at the door and went out into the chilly night to get Lux.

I picked her up from the back of the mini van and carried her inside.

“Nice meeting you!” I smiled before going into the house, shutting the door with my foot.

Lux stirred.

I carried her to the couch, seeing my bedroom wasn’t an option.

“I’ll miss you Emily.” Lux whispered.

I smiled and tried not to cry.

“I’ll miss you too Lux.” I ran a hand through her soft blonde locks.

“Why am I leaving Emily?” She asked, sitting up a bit more.

“Probably because Harry is going to try out for X-Factor. And if he makes it, he won’t be back for a while.” I nodded.

“Will you miss him?” She asked.

“I’ll miss him a lot.” I nodded.

I didn’t tell Lux that I was breaking up with him.

I didn’t want to admit it to myself, let alone aloud.

“Will you do my hair before I leave?”

I sniffled a smile.

“Course I will.” I smiled.

I started braiding her hair and used a hair tie on the table to tie it up.

“Perfect. Now go to sleep honey.” I rubbed her back.

She wrapped her small arms around my waist.

“I love you Emily. Take care of Harry for me? You will right?” She looked up at me, those beautiful green eyes like Harry’s.

“Um… I’ll try.” I nodded.

I hugged her.

“I love you too Lux.”
