The next morning I woke up with a massive headache, Hangovers were not my thing. No matter how much alcohol I had the night before a headache was always there the next morning. I hesitated getting out of bed but eventually did, Not before checking my phone I had a lot of texts from Normani. The last one said she was on her way to my house, I didn't even realize it was already way past noon. She must be off her dance class, I got up and took a quick shower before heading downstairs to wait for my friend. I was eating cookies and milk when I heard the doorbell rang desperately, I shrugged at the sound echoing inside my brain. "Chill chill I have a massive headache and you're ringing my bell like a maniac" I said as I opened the door to let Normani in.
I could tell something was wrong when she didn't fight back, A nervous expression on her face. Ok I thought to myself as I closed the door and followed my best friend into my living room as we both fell into my couch. We sat silent for a few seconds my mind still in a daze from all the alcohol, I could see her leg shaking and she kept rubbing her hands together her nervousness too evident now. "Ok what is up with you?" I finally broke the silence between us. She made eye contact with me her leg still shaking as she started to present to me the events from last night. "I.. I don't even know where to start Lo, Everything happened so fast." Normani's worried voice was making me anxious not knowing what she was talking about, She took a deep breath and she continued talking.
"After you dropped me and Dinah off, We were laying down in my room. She slept on my bed with me because you know my guest room is a mess right now. Anyways, I was so drunk Lo but I knew what I was doing and I think she did too. We, I, She..." Normani paused for a moment burying her face on her hands. "What happened Mani? You know you can trust me, I hate seeing you like this." I said in all honesty. I wanted to help her out but I had to know what was going on first, she was clearly in distraught, I rubbed her back slightly and she sighed as she finally continued talking.
"We had sex Lo, I had sex with a girl. I don't even know what the fuck happened. One second we were just talking facing each other and the next well, You know" She blurted out. I couldn't help but make the most visible surprised face, Any sign of drunkenness I had in me was completely gone now. I chuckled a little not believing she was so stressed about this. "Mani, I'm sure it was just because of the alcohol. I can't believe you were so nervous to tell me this, How was it though? Did you like it?" I sent her a wink trying to cheer her up but failed miserably when she shoved me roughly almost pushing me to the floor.
"It's not funny Lauren, You know I'm not like that. Like, Into girls. At least I think I'm not I'm so confused I don't even know what to do or say anymore. This morning after I woke up she was gone and she wasn't even in dance class." Normani finished saying before burying her face into her hands once more. I kept rubbing her back not really knowing what to say for me it wasn't a big deal but for her it was. "Look Mani I'm sure she's just as surprised as you. Just give it some time, Its really no big deal. At one point you were going to have a gay moment if it wasn't with me it would of been with someone else" I attempted to make her smile this time she chuckled a little. She lifted her head a small smile on her face, "Yeah I guess you're right we need time to just let it all sink in. But still Lo, What do I do? Should I text her? Like, I don't even know how I feel about her anymore. What if I do like her, Like unconsciously or something." Her words were taking me back to a time of confusion during high school, I understood her confusion. "Don't do anything, let her come to you. Look Mani I'm sure you're not gay or confused I just think if you like someone you just like that person for them, Not because of their gender or anything, but because of how they are and I really admire that. You're real to yourself and I think you should just relax and give it a few days" I grabbed her hand rubbing the back with my thumb trying to give her some confidence.
"Yeah, I guess that's a good way to put it. I still can't believe it happened though. I remember every detail Lo, And to be honest I liked it. Like really liked it." A clear smile on Normani's face was now showing making me grin even bigger. "Ah welcome to the dark side Mani, I can't believe you had sex first than me, that sucks you know. You're not even gay and look." I laughed a little after saying this, realizing I hadn't slept with anyone. Not that I didn't want to but right before I was about to do something with a girl I got so nervous I wimped out and always ended up running away. Might be one of the reasons Lucy left me. "Ah yeah my lesbian virgin friend, 1 Mani 0 Lo" Normani was now laughing at my tragedy of my non sexual life.
"Shut up and tell me the deets, Like. How did you even know what to do? Did you like watch lesbian sex or something?" I lifted my eyebrow as normani was lost in thought probably remembering the events of the night before. "Mani! Details! Now" I yelled, Normani was looking at me with a huge smirk on her face, Clearly happy with the memories. "Well I think it just happened like I had no idea what to do it was like my body was reacting on its own. We were talking and then she leaned in grabbing my face with both her hands as she pushed her lips to mine. I did hesitate though, I pulled back and I stared into her eyes Lo, And I couldn't help but kiss her back. Her lips were so soft and I just gave in. I didn't care about anything at that moment it was only me and her lost on our own lust and heat of the moment. We were making out and she grabbed me by my waist throwing my whole body on top of hers as we continued making out. She started to undress me and I reciprocated by doing the same with her. I was staring at her naked body, Lo it was the most beautiful view I've ever had. She is just beautiful inside and out and I hadn't even thought about her in that way until we were there." Normani took a sip of my juice before taking another deep breath and continued with the details of the event.
"I started getting nervous when she threw me down in the bed, She was kissing every inch of my body making me feel beautiful and just confident. She kept saying how gorgeous I was and how perfect my body felt. She, Uhm. She went down on me Lo" Normani giggled and blushed and I couldn't help but laugh too, The images were in my head and it definitely was getting hot. I smiled back as she continued telling me " I had never felt anything like that so she did her thing and I did the same not really knowing how but I just tried to do what she did, It worked. Her whole body was quivering and we just did more stuff you know. Then when it was over she kissed me and said it was the best night of her life I just smiled back and we spooned for the rest of the night. But I woke up and she was gone, No note no text no nothing. I thought I would see her in class but she wasn't there." Normani finally finished talking a sad tone on her voice.
"Well, First of all. Wow, that was hot. Can we please have a threesome? And secondly like I said I'm sure everything has to just sink in. Like look at how you where Mani. Lets just go get some food find a distraction and whatever happens happens okay?" I was standing up, Heading to where my car keys were hanging. After In N Out we pulled into the beach parking lot, It was pretty late and chilly and thankfully not a lot of people in sight. We were walking down the pier as we saw another two bodies slowly approaching us. "Oh shit" Normani whispered tugging my sweater. "It's Dinah and ally, Shit shit what do we do?" She desperately whispered. I didn't even know what to do, Normani was radiating all her nervousness into me not allowing me to even process what was going on. It was too late now both girls were now standing in front of us, Neither of them saying anything. We stood in silence for a few second before Ally spoke up "Hey Guys, How are you?" she asked sympathetically. "Good, what are you guys doing here?" I responded knowing Normani wouldn't. "Just came here to talk and walk, Probably the same thing you guys are doing right?" Dinah answered keeping her eyes on Normani. I could feel the awkwardness between all of us, I eyed ally giving her a silent signal that we should probably leave Dinah and Normani alone. " Hey Lauren do you mind coming with me to, Over there" ally said, Smooth I thought. Both normani and Dinah looked at us, both an anxious look on their faces, but we still left anyway. I knew they had to talk about it eventually and the faster they got it over with the better. I smiled at Normani as I walked away with Ally.
Me and Ally sat at a bench far away from the other girls so that they could have their privacy, Apparently our plan worked as we saw both of them walking towards the end of the pier. I smiled at ally a pleasant look on her face. "Hey so did she tell you everything that happened?" Ally questioned me raising an eyebrow. "Uh, She probably said the same thing Dinah told you." I answered back not wanting to give too many details in case Dinah hadn't said anything. "Dinah is my best friend Lauren, she told me about them sleeping together, Every detail so don't worry you don't have to tell me what normani said. They probably told us the same thing anyway." She gave me a smile as we both looked at the non visible girls. "Yeah, Maybe. So the night at the club was fun yeah? We should do it again." I told the small girl, Other intentions on my mind. "We totally should do it again next week. I had a blast, You guys are so much fun." ally agreed. I hesitated asking her about the petite stranger but I finally found the courage to do it. "So there was another girl with you guys, Some petite dark hair girl. I never got introduced to her, Is she like a good friend of yours?" I asked nervously.
Ally gave me a wide smirk clearly noticing my interest on her friend, "Ah yeah, She's a close friend. Camila, She's pretty shy around new people plus she doesn't go out often. She didn't feel very comfortable in that environment to be honest." ally finally gave me her name. Camila, I thought what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. "Yeah she didn't seem to be enjoying herself maybe you should invite her to come out with us, You know just so we can all have fun. Maybe go to a more chill club or something." I said back looking at the waves that were crashing onto each other. "She's married Lauren, That's why she doesn't go out much. Her husband is a good guy but he can be a dick sometimes. But I'll ask her i really doubt it to be honest. Did you like her or something?" Her questioned made my stomach sink. I didn't even know why i didn't even know the girl and i just learned her name. "No i just thought it would be fun for all of us to hang but no big deal if she can't she can't you know" I said back trying to avoid talking about the girl any longer.
We talked about other subjects for about two hours before normani and Dinah came back, Both girls were smiling so i guessed everything had worked out between them. "Lo, You ready?" Normani asked not really saying anything else and heading to my car. "Uh yeah" i answered back quickly before waving goodbye to ally and Dinah. We walked in silence to my car, Our drive home was just as quiet just listening to Ed Sheeran on the radio. I didn't want to ask anything because i knew how normani was and she would only open up if she really wanted to, I pulled into her driveway, turning my engine off and sitting in total silence before normani said something. "We agreed that it was just a drunken night that it happens you know. We're both single and well we just wanted to feel another person close or whatever so lets not talk about it anymore. We're friends and nothing more just like before okay?" She quickly spoke, Clearly she didn't feel that way but i didn't want to push any further i nodded my head before giving her a goodbye hug.
When i got home normani had already sent me a text "Ah yeah next Friday we're going out. Don't make it a big deal okk? i just don't want to talk about that anymore. You down?" i read the text smiling at how cute she was, thinking i didn't notice her crush on the tall Polynesian girl. I didn't want to tease her afraid of making her upset. Before i could replied she sent another message "And yes you're stranger crush agreed to go (;" I couldn't help but smile at the thought of me finally meeting that beautiful stranger. I replied with a simple I'm down and sat my phone back down. I laid down, turning my radio on as "Hands to myself" by selena Gomez started playing. I couldn't help but feel excited and nervous at the same time, yeah the girl was married but so what. I just wanted to be her friend, I just wanted to talk to her. The necessity of finally hearing her voice was becoming unbearable, Camila i kept playing her name on my mind.
