"So how did the date go? Please, Don't tell me you went to the bathroom and then left the poor girl there waiting for you like the past three times" Normani was sending her best friend a you better not look and watching her as the green eyed girl was lost in thought. "Lauren!" She yelled, the green eyed snapping out of her thoughts now staring at Normani. "No I didn't leave, to be honest mani I don't think i'm ready to date anyone" Lauren replied now staring at the floor, A sad look on her face as she remembered her last relationship. "Lo, It's been 5 months since you and Lucy broke up, You have to get over it and just go back to how you were before, The girl who didn't care and was just a free spirit enjoying her freedom and her very much blessed looks" Normani sent Lauren a wink trying to cheer her up. Lauren sent out a loud sigh before standing up from the couch and walking towards the kitchen to grab a soda. Normani stood up following her sad looking friend trying to think of a way to cheer her up.
Lauren had been dating Lucy for the past 3 years, their relationship was great, Too great if you asked anyone. They were more like best friends, They did hold hands but Normani never saw them kiss once. Lauren always said they liked their privacy and didn't need to show public affection to validate their relationship. They had broken up 5 months ago, well lucy broke up with lauren her reason was because she jut didn't feel it anymore ad she thought it would be better to date other people but that they should remain friends. Lauren had been heart broken ever since. She watched as lucy went out with other people seeing pictures with her and strangers kissing or hugging, Snapchat and Instagram became Laurens addiction to keep a better eye on Lucy.
Normani was worried for her friend and her slight depression. She tried hooking her up with one of her dance studio friends. Ally, she knew the small girl wasn't into girls but she asked her to fake for the night so that she could cheer lauren up, But talking to Lauren this morning it seemed like her plan had failed miserably or Lauren had figured out her best friends intentions.
"You know if you wanted to hook me up with someone atleast make sure shes into girls next time" Lauren was slamming the fridge door now staring at Normani who was shook out of her own thoughts. Normani made an oh shit face before trying to respond to what her now upset friend had just said. "Look Laur, I don't know a lot of girls that are into other girls so yes I asked Ally to do me this favor because I just want you to get out of this funk. Honestly, It's been too long and I hate seeing you like this." Normani confessed a worried expression on her face, She was leaning into the counter her face now buried on her hands. Lauren was approaching her and embraced her best friend into a hug. They remained like this for what seemed hours, Lauren knew normani was starting to get very anxious and worried about her but she couldn't help feeling this way.
She was depressed and she felt like she would never find a girl like Lucy, No one understood her like she did. She tried dating other people she really did but conversations seemed so vague, She couldn't connect with anyone the way she really wanted to. For her it wasn't just about posting about each other or tweeting about how she loved the other person and filling the world with endless couple selfies or hashtags, Lauren wanted something deeper a love that could end all of her loneliness and doubts, A love so pure and honest that was only for her and the other person. A love no one else had, something that could only be seen and felt by her and no one else. She just wanted to share part of her life with someone she didn't need anyone to be happy but she had so much love inside her that she didn't know what to do with it. She wanted to share all of that with someone, All her doubts, fears, thoughts, goals, she wanted a love that could make her feel inspired.
She felt that way with Lucy, But now her heart was broken and she was sure no one could ever come close to putting all the pieces back together. Normani finally let go of her friend, Tears on her eyes and a sad smile across her face. Lauren wiped a tear falling from her best friends eye and just nodded her head not accepting how much her mood affected normani. "Mani, Please. Don't cry. I promise I'll try to get out of this but on my own way. I don't need to hook up with anyone, Just let me deal with this. Stop worrying so much." the green eyed girl headed back to the living room letting her body fall to the couch, Normani following behind her, mimicking her friend. "I just care about you so much Lo, We have been best friends since we were on our moms wombs, I feel your pain. I just want you to be happy." She said sincerely. Lauren just grabbed her friends hand a wide smile across her face.
"Lets go out tonight, How about we take some depression time off and just go to a club or something. Best friend night just like before, are you down?" She could see a smirk form on Normani's face and she knew she was more than down to go out and have some fun just like before. They agreed to meet at Normani's house in a few hours so that they had time to get ready. Normani left not before embracing her friend on another hug and telling her how much she loved her, Lauren was so grateful on how great Normani was. At some point during their high school career Lauren had felt something for Normani but those feelings were immediately gone when she fell for Lucy which she was grateful for because she couldn't bare the idea of loosing normani. She headed back upstairs to her room to get ready but not before lowkey stalking Lucy, She went on snapchat and immediately Lucy's name popped up on her story. She opened it watching a few videos of Lucy and her dog then she saw Lucy with some friends, Lauren recognized all of them and she read the title "Club with my girls tonight", Lauren knew exactly where she was going to go tonight.
After a few hours of getting ready she headed to Normani's house who lived a few blocks away, Lauren was wearing a tight black backless dress that ended just above her knees, It was close fitted making the shape of her body even more visible, Her curves and legs were her favorite feature she felt sexy and excited to show Lucy what she was missing on. Her dark long wavy hair resting on her shoulders, red lipstick and a slight touch of mascara and eyeliner to make her green eyes stand out even more. She arrived at Normani's house, Knocking on the door and waiting for a few seconds before her friend finally opened up.
"Holy shit Lo, You look hot girl. You're really ready to get Lit tonight huh?" her friends compliments immediately made her blush and she couldn't help but smile at the honest opinions of Normani. "Stop it, I'm just ready to go have fun with my best friend and see in what trouble we can get in." She sent Normani a smirk before grabbing her hand and walking to her car. Normani was also wearing a short black dress that fitted her perfectly making her butt and boobs look even bigger.
They arrived at the familiar club in Miami, They knew the bouncer who let them go in without having to wait on the now long line. it was 10 pm and that's when it started to get crazy the two friends had just turned 21 but they had been in the club many times before, the perks of having popular friends. They entered the loud club scanning the area for other familiar faces, Normani pulled Lauren towards a girl waving at them to head their way, Lauren didn't recognized the tall girl but it seemed like Normani did. She saw as the two girls hugged each other and converse Lauren not being able to hear because of the loud music, Normani pulled her closer now introducing the two strangers.
"Lo this is Dinah a friend from dance class, I promise I wont hook you up with her" Normani was yelling into Lauren's ear making the girl cringe. "Nice to finally meet you Lauren, Mani sure talks about you all the time" the tall Polynesian girl pulled Lauren into a hug making her smile at how nice she was. "What's up nice to meet you too, now I'm sad that she's not trying to hook us up. You're beautiful Dinah" She whispered into Dinah's ear making the girl blush in response. She then saw Ally seating on a couch with another girl, They waved hello before Ally approached the now three friends. "Hi Lauren I'm glad you guys made it, Also I'm sorry this one set me up like that, but you seem better." Ally sent normani a look and then they started talking. Lauren was trying to listen to the conversation between the three girls as she started to scan the club for that one familiar face she was there for in the first place, A couple of tables away from the she saw her. Lucy was wearing a short red dress, heels that made her slightly taller but as I already knew shorter than me and her hair was let down. God, She looked beautiful I thought to myself, Normani tugged me by my arm noticing where I had my gaze at.
"No wonder you dressed like this and wanted to come here. You know I'm so stupid for actually thinking you wanted to spend some time with your best friend Lauren. You know what, why don't you go with her so she can make you feel like shit once more" I could hear the pain on Normani's voice making my heart sink at how selfish I was being. "Mani it's not li.." I couldn't finish talking before she walked away from me, Taking ally and Dinah with her who sat at a table with other friends. I sighed not knowing what to do, Normani was right my last encounter with Lucy didn't go too well. But I couldn't help my stubborn mind.
I sent normani a last look, Her face strictly on me before I turned around and headed towards lucy who was now seating alone probably waiting for her friends to return with drinks. "Hey Lucy, Strange seeing you here" I awkwardly yelled at her, She was now watching me her eyes scanning my whole body making me blush. "Wow, you look hot Lo. Yeah fancy seeing you here, Well not so much. You know I'm always here but nice seeing you. You look really good, How are you?" she was starting to get up and I could feel my breath get heavier and my heart beating faster. She was now standing in front of me, Her faced leaning closer to mine as I felt her lips kiss my cheek making my heart flutter away leaving my body. I felt my knees weak, But I couldn't show that weakness anymore I knew why she had fallen for me she said she liked rebels she liked "Bad girls" and I could be that, Just for her.
I gained control of my body again, As she separated her lips from my cheek and was now looking into my eyes as if she was waiting for me to say or do something I grabbed her by her waist squeezing on her curves and pulling her closer to me. I saw as she slowly licked her lips now looking into mine, I got closer to her face her eyes now closed I couldn't help but smirk a little, I diverted from her lips and gave her cheek a small kiss. She opened her eyes a clear surprised expression on her face, I couldn't help but chuckle before saying my goodbye and returning to where normani was.
I had controlled myself around lucy for the first time and it felt amazing, It was like she finally had no control over me and I was free. Normani had a surprised look on her face as I approached her clearly witnessing my interaction with lucy she smiled at me and I embraced her on a hug. "Dang Lo I feel so proud of you, I'm glad you didn't let yourself go. Now lets party. Take a shot with me." she said as she handed me a shot, we took 3 continuous shots and I felt my mind starting to divert. I noticed another girl seating with Ally and Dinah I hadn't seen her before due to my focus on Lucy who was now glaring at me from her table. "Hey mani who is that?" I asked at my now very drunk friend, She followed my gaze her eyes landing on the petite girl. "Ah that is.. I don't remember her name. She's cute though, Shall I introduce you?" she was slurring her words and I could smell the hard liquor from her breath. "No it's okay I don't need girl drama tonight I just want to have fun with you mani" a smile formed on my best friends face clearly pleased by my answer. I couldn't help but look at the beautiful stranger I kept staring at her on and off through the night.
She left earlier that the rest of us but I didn't want to make normani feel bad for focusing on someone else that wasn't her, by now we were all too wasted and I had to seat down before I fell or did something embarrassing. I was watching Mani and Dinah dance, Their moves sexy and their bodies close to each other I had to admit it was a hot view. A few minutes later Ally had also left leaving only us three to enjoy our company I could see Lucy walking towards me. I was trying to call Mani but clearly she was too busy dancing the night away. "Hey Lo, Mind if I seat?" she asked me already pulling a chair close to me. My head was spinning and I was feeling a little bit turned on by the dance I had just witnessed so I followed my instincts and as Lucy sat by my side I turned my body to face her putting both my hands around her neck pulling her into a deep passionate kiss, My tongue fighting a war with hers trying to dominate one another, I could feel her hands around my waist squeezing them as she tried to pull me closer and off my chair.
As I was about to go deeper I felt someone pull on my arm separating me from the blushed girl seating next to me, "We gotta go Lo" Normani said sending Lucy a mean look. I turned back to look at Lucy debating whether I should stay or go, I handed normani my hand our fingers now entwined not before mouthing a sorry to Lucy, Clearly normani had saved me from a drunken mistake. I dropped her off at her house Dinah as well, they were going to class early in the morning so they decided to have a sleepover, I politely declined I just wanted to go home and sleep.
I was pleased to be in my bed my favorite unicorn pajamas on, my whole room was spinning and I couldn't help but think about the kiss I had with Lucy she was so hot but those memories started to fall to the back of my mind as the petite stranger gained control of my vivid images, I wish I had talked to her I thought before closing my eyes, Falling into a deep sleep.
