Willow's Pov

Walking down the familiar street from my two story house, I pulled my spring jacket tighter around my body. Damn it, I should have worn my winter jacket! It's the middle of August and it's freezing. I swear I could do some damage with how pointy my girls are right now.

Groaning quietly, I fully zip up my white jacket and burry my neck into it. At least I'm slightly warm. Shoving my hands into my pockets, I did a small twirl before continuing on.

I trudged down the cracked sidewalk and passed nearby houses, taking a few moments to examine their exterior. In my neighbourhood we were considered the 'rich' people, even though we weren't. My mother and I live in a two story, character home with a red chimney and a long driveway that somehow, after years of living there, only had a few cracks and chips. The front door is part wood, part glass, as is most of the house. Since my mother loved the woods and nature in general, we decided to find the house that looked most like a small cottage.

Our house thankfully looks almost exactly like a cottage minus the small renovations we've done. There's a beautiful red fireplace that perfectly matches with the rest of the room, especially with the black sofa near the kitchen. The kitchen is made of mostly oak, but is completely updated to the newest model. The appliances are steel, and the island in the middle of the kitchen is a beautiful piece of oak wood with carvings carved into it. We actually have two stools to match it, which was a shocker. Usually most pieces in this house are miss-matched.

Turning back to the front door, the stairs are a few feet away from the door and lead directly upstairs to my room and my mother's, both having bathrooms attached to them.

Focusing on the present, I realized I'm completely out of my neighbourhood and I'm getting closer to my destination. I have to walk anywhere I want to go because I don't have my drivers license and my mother refuses to drive me. I don't drive because I don't want to, but I do know how. Even though I don't have my license, my mother still bought me my precious Beetle. Usually I get anxious and my palms start to get clammy then I completely break out into a cold sweat when I think about what could happen while driving. Thankfully, I've learned to master that retched fear over the last few years.

Trudging along, I pass a nearby park that had an abundance of kids playing on it. I smile slightly, enjoying the loud laughter of the many children. The pitter patter of their feet and the slight squeaking from the swing set. It set my already calm state further along, my muscles completely relaxing.

Passing that, I make a left turn across the road and enter my favourite building, The Café. It's fresh coffee and book aroma immediately hits my nose, filling me with a warm and tingly feeling. The Café is partly a book and coffee store with tables in the middle of it. It's absolutely amazing! It has an odd design, seeing as the shop was one big location but split down the middle with circular tables and comfortable red chairs.

Squealing internally, I can't contain my excitement as I practically skip over to the book section. Looking through the many aisles, I try and find the most exquisite books I can buy. Scrolling through, I pick up two romance books, two mystery books, and one fiction book. Reading has been my favourite activity since my toddler years, somehow always sparking my imagination when I find a good novel.

I smile brightly at my find, amazed that I could find such amazing books. Jogging to the check out line, I look at the coffee menu a few feet away. There's so many options but none stick out so I go for my usual. When it's my turn to pay I put the books on the counter and pull out my wallet. Looking up at the cashier, I cringed and took a small step back. Oh Jesus..

It's a lanky teenager by the name of Mike who's giving me a very provocative look. I've had to deal with him on many occasions before and I've basically learned that this acne-prone teenager hates the word 'no'. Don't get me wrong, he's cute, but not my type. I can tell by the bags under his eyes and unbrushed hair that he's probably a gamer and spends most of his time playing COD.

"That will be $35.69, miss." He says, giving me a flirtatious wink. I quickly pull out the money before handing it to him, waiting for him to bag my books. He smiles charmingly at me, or tries, before grabbing a white bag and bagging my books, careful not to damage them. He quickly pulls out a napkin and messily writes something down before shoving it into the bag with the books.

I quirk an eyebrow at his actions, already having multiple guesses of what he wrote down. When he hands me the bag, I reach inside and pull it out. Reading his name and number, I scrunch up my face and hand it back to him.

"I won't need this." I told him politely, brushing hair away from my face. He blushes a scarlet red from getting rejected, probably not his first time, but brushes it off with a fake smile. I had no intention of appearing sassy, but I truly did not want a relationship with him.

"Yes, you will," He says, ending his words with a poor excuse for a growl. He did sound like a wheezing raccoon though.

When he tries to hand it back, I pull my bag off the counter, making sure he didn't succeed with his attempts and discretely walk away. Without looking back, I make my way to the coffee side of the store. From behind me I can hear people chuckling and multiple voices saying things like 'burn!'and 'rejected!'.

Ignoring it, I quickly go up to the counter and order my favourite drink, a breakfast coffee banana smoothie. Watching it be made, I admire the barista as he throws in the main ingredients including a banana, green yogurt, milk, instant coffee, and sugar. When it's done, I quickly pay and take the delicacy into my hands. Yum!

Strutting over to a nearby table, I set my books into the opposite chairs of me and start to drink my coffee. Smiling into the drink, I blow bubbles into the coffee and watch them pop. Smirking inside, I loved watching the bubbles grow and grow until they suddenly popped. Kicking my feet back and forth, I don't notice the two sets of glazed eyes watching me.

Xander's Pov

My gait was slow as I walked down the dark and cold alleyway, pulling my leather jacket tighter around my large frame and patting my co-leaders back. Lighting one of my cigarettes, I stick it into my mouth and scratch my harsh stubble. My ocean blue eyes bore into the traitor in front of me and watch as he trembles with fear. He was a traitor. A rat.

He's looking at me and Xavier with horror and distress in his eyes, probably wishing for a do over.

"Please, please don't kill me, I have information!" He pleads helplessly. Sighing loudly, I question my wits. Why did I recruit a nimrod like him?

I nod my head, signalling the coward to tell us the valuable information. He stutters out words that no one can understand so I'm assuming he doesn't actually have any information. Groaning loudly, I watch as one of the two men holding the weak link back covers his mouth. The men had already kicked down his legs, forcing his knees to grind against the dirty alleyway as he groveled at our feet.

I face Xavier and talk with the cigarette near the edge of my mouth. "Why did he recruit someone like him?" I question calmly.

"You said he was good with knives." Xavier answers me shortly after. I nod my head, he was good with knives but nothing else. He was pretty much useless which narrowed down my options as to what to do with him.

Rolling my eyes, I shove my hands into the pockets of my jeans and signal my men to finish the job. Turning to leave, I let Xavier catch up to my long strides as we hear the dastards desperate pleads.

"Please, please! I'll do anything! I'll d-" I hear a sickening crack and a loud thud, probably the body dropping. Looking behind me, I was right. I watch the men throw the body into a nearby dumpster and follow us shortly after. They wiped their hands against their pant legs, getting rid of the invisible filth from the man they killed.

I turn the corner and wait for my men to catch up. When they do, I tell them what actions they need to complete.

"Go back to base, tell no one. We'll be back in an hour." I say while waving my hand dismissively. They nod obediently before walking the opposite direction we came from.

"Where to, brother?" Xavier asks, smirking slightly. I can already tell what he's thinking, he wants to release some frustration.  His eyes usually turn a darker shade of blue and he gets small crinkles around his smile if he's horny, something I've learned over the years. Grinning along with him, I nod before we make it to my black Lamborghini Veneno and hop inside. I turn it on and listen to the smooth rumble it emits before quieting down. Pulling out of the parking spot, I start driving to our favourite spot.

When we get to The Café it looks mildly full, but better than usual. Parking my car, I exit and turn it off before walking across the street and waiting for my brother. Pulling my leather jacket tighter around my body, I finish yet another cigarette and throw it on the ground before stomping on it.

Walking up to the little shop, I open the door with a slight ding from the bell above. Looking around, I spot the desperate book store clerk trying to hook up with someone yet again. The woman looks fairly pretty from behind with a full head of blonde locks that fall down to her ass, and probably around 5'2".

Looking away, I try and find a decent lay. When I and Xavier find none, we groan quietly and decide to grab a cup of coffee. We usually can find a decent looking woman for sex anywhere we go, but I guess not today. I order a plain strong cup of black coffee while Xavier chuckles before getting a very girly drink. A breakfast coffee banana smoothie? Very girly.

Sitting at a nearby table, I pull out my chair before plopping down and sipping my coffee. Xavier does the same except he moans with every sip. Jesus, it can't be that good. Can it?

"God, stop moaning so loud!" I quietly yell at him. He obeys but still makes an orgasmic face every sip. Rolling my eyes, I grab his drink before taking a taste for myself. Licking my lips, I pass his back the drink and shrug nonchalantly. Oh my god, that was amazing! I spoke internally, but pretend it was decent on the outside. He couldn't know I liked such a girly drink, I would never hear the end of it.

When we're halfway done our coffee, I notice a very beautiful women sitting a few tables away from us. She doesn't pay attention to her surroundings at all, but solely focused on her drink. She's blowing bubbles? She's also smiling as she does it. That's the type of thing you don't just see everyday.

Looking at Xavier, I find he's looking at the exact same woman as I am. It's not a problem if we both have her, we've done it before and it was pretty fun. Raising an eyebrow, I look back at the woman and take in her appearance, openly looking her up and down.

She has long blonde hair that cascades down her back, slighting falling around the front part of her body, and freckles that dance across her nose and cheeks. Her eyes looks to be a lime green colour and her teeth are perfectly white, they are surprisingly straight. Looking down, I almost whistle with appreciation. She must have had braces as a kid if she has teeth that shiny, and she must use some type of moisturizer for her hair to have it look that silky..

Her chest is the perfect size for me, probably a B cup, and her form fitting shirt shows them off. Her leggings make her long legs look delicious and hug her every curve. Raising both eyebrows, she's beautiful. I never call a women beautiful. Scratch that- she has to be decent, maybe slightly above decent, but not beautiful.

Looking at my brother, he's looking at me with a shit eating smirk.

"Do you like her?" We ask at the same time, making me grimace creepily. It was odd when we answered at the same time and I tried to keep it to a minimal.

"Yes." We both answer again. Chucking, I pick up my coffee and plan to sit at her table with her when I find something odd.

She's gone?
