Someone messaged me yesterday about Laila and friends. The person said that they love my book however (there's always a however), they don't like how I portrayed Laila and her black friends as ghetto and violent bc not all black girls are like that.
And I agree 100%!! That's why each of my books are different. Some have a shy black girl some have loud ones. BUT!!! *tamar Braxton neck and eye roll* (first 20 seconds of the video is my rn) I don't like how they asked me to CHANGE the book because of that. MY BOOK! I've worked so hard on it and have gotten amazing reviews! Omg I love y'all but I felt offended. That someone wants me to change a book I spent overs year writing. My biggest accomplishment yet! Much love to that person but.... Hell no I'm not changing it. ❤️
