Sitting around the dinner table just like old times I began to miss being at home, my life changed drastically when I met Charlie, I made a jump and moved in with him within months supporting his career just as much as he supported me. Things honestly were great, I found my job in London which introduced me to the girls and saw places ive only ever read about. I suppose when Chloe took a job opportunity in the city centre herself she brought a little home to me, which helped no end with the homesickness.

"How's the office love?" Dad asked.

"Busy, which I suppose is good for the business, but I don't know, I just don't enjoy it as much now. I fancy a change of scenery."

"Oh, I didn't realise you were thinking of leaving."

"I don't know myself, I'm sure it will pass. I've had a solid week of faxing and emails."

Pouring some more gravy on my plate I suddenly felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

"How's your Girlfriend Ryan?" I asked my slightly older brother.

"We're not together anymore, It's a long story," he shrugged.

"The story is too long for us to know as well," Dad frowned.

"Oh, I thought she seemed lovely."

"Apparently not, there's no grandchildren in sight," Mum sighed.

Rolling his eyes Ryan finished his last mouthful and put his cutlery down.

Everyone now finished I helped Mum clear the table and tidy up the kitchen, she always has been a messy cook with her plates and saucepans everywhere. Piling everything into the dishwasher I started to wipe the surfaces whilst she re-set the table, standing alone I'm now thinking about Aston. I do feel bad letting him travel down to Essex for nothing, and I hate the fact of him in the hotel room alone, but I'm still so bitter about last night. He doesn't give a damn about ditching me and buggering off with one of my so-called mates, instead he lied his way through the car journey making out he was home a little after me. Neighbours my arse.

"So where are you staying tonight?" Mum asked joining me again.

"There's a hotel just up the road."

"Is it okay? You know I'd love for you to stay here but your room was empty for so long."

"It's fine, the hotels lovely. I'm glad you've made use of it."

"It was that brother of yours, he's started this fitness program."

"Ryan, fitness?" I laughed.

"Exactly. He's got all sorts of equipment in there but I've only ever seen him use them twice. Dad wants it for a study, but Ryan insists he uses it."

"How he was piling in them Yorkshire puddings he doesn't use it."

"Its been great having you home love, make sure you find time to come more often," she smiled.

"I've loved it, and I will. Especially now Charlie's away."

"Hmm, I always did wonder if he had any part in these excuses."

"I'm sorry," I mumbled.

"Don't apologise, just sort things out before you get hurt."

"I will, I am. It's complicated Mum."

"I've heard that before," she giggled.

"Thank you for dinner."

"Anytime."

Ending the most loveliest day with a glass of wine on the couch I lost track of time due to all the catching up we still have to do. Ryan and Mollie upstairs shut in their bedrooms its just me, Mum and Dad, so I decided to say my goodbyes.

"Come back soon, we miss you," Dad said squeezing me tight.

"Sometime next month, I promise. Thanks for having me."

"See you soon darling," Mum smiled.

"Love you both."

"Love you too."

"Oh, and if there's any trouble with that Charlie," Dad frowned making a phone shape with his hands close to his ear.

I nodded before setting off.

Gone six o'clock I wandered down the hotel corridor looking for our room number, the light creeping under the door situated opposite the lift. I hesitated again, but eventually let myself in to the sound of the flat screen TV blaring out.

"Hello?" Aston called out.

"It's me," I replied.

"Oh," turning the sound down he sat up on the bed as I walked into the room.

I kicked off my shoes to the side where all of my other belongings are stacked finding Aston's clothes in a heap beside them. It's so hot in here, I can see why.

"I thought you would be cold from walking home so I put the heating on."

"It's boiling in here."

"Probably too high. Did you get my text?"

"Oh, I forgot to check it," I said recalling it vibrate in my pocket earlier.

"Don't worry, I only asked how your day was going."

"Yeah, it was good," I said rummaging through my bag for my pyjamas.

"Have you eaten?"

"Yeah."

"I was thinking about calling room service."

"Yeah."

"Maybe go for a run, actually I might watch the moon from the roof and hopefully catch a glimpse of Amy Childs."

"What?"

"Nothing," he sighed.

"I'm going to get changed."

Locking myself in the bathroom and changed into something more comfortable and wiped my face free of make up, yawning as I tied my hair back. Today has worn me out, despite how much relaxing I've done in Mum's living room.

"Can I get some sense out of you now?" Aston asked turning off the TV as he sat on the end of the bed.

He does not give up.

"What now Aston?" I moaned.

"What is wrong with you?"

"Nothing is wrong me with," I snapped.

"Well you're in some sort of mood and have been all day."

Zipping up my bag I walked straight past him to get to a window, the latch getting caught as I tugged it open.

"Wait, It's broken," he said jumping up before I hurt myself. "All you can do is slide this one across."

Leaning on the ledge I looked out to the lights glowing ready to welcome the girls caked in fake tan and foundation, although I have heard Essex is a great night out.

"Look, I'm sorry. It's obvious I pissed you off last night," he said.

I grunted flinching at his hand gripping my shoulder gently, his touch becoming a massage.

"I didn't think I'd be gone that long."

"It would be nice to know we were over before hand, that's all."

"What?"

"Not over, but..well whatever you want to call it."

"We're not over," he frowned. "Babe, what are you talking about?"

"I'm not being your second choice."

Completely puzzled he stuttered his words, "like I said, I didn't think I'd be long. I just popped outside for a chat and got dragged away."

"Seduce you did she?"

"She?" he asked.

"Kelly's told me Aston."

"Kelly? I was with Dave."

"Dave?"

"My old mate Dave, I haven't seen him since school so I couldn't turn down a quick chat. We go way back."

"No, Kelly said you went back with her."

"I never went anywhere with Kelly."

I fell silent. I don't know whether to be relieved or not.

"Is this why you've been angry? Because you thought I disappeared with Kelly?"

"No," I mumbled.

"No, it is isn't it?"

"You don't know the half of it Aston," I moaned pushing my way out of his guard to get to the bed. "It's plain fucking sailing for you."
