Tessa's P.O.V:
Neither Marcus or I say a word as we look at eachother, I look at him head to toe as his eyes are locked onto my face. His black top is perfectly fitted against his body which shows of his perfect figure. His hands are tucked into his black leather jacket which match his black jeans. The silver chain across his neck is placed in a perfect position against his chest.
The last time I saw Marcus was a week after court. He came to my place to collect all his belongings. The last time I talked to him was when I did the interview with Marshall on live radio.
"Tessa." Marcus says softly. I look up to meet his eyes as my eyes start to water. I bite tongue and walk past him only to stop in my tracks when Marcus runs and stops infront of me.
The last thing I want to do is talk to Marcus, especially when i'm drunk. Since i'm pretty wasted, I know if I speak i'm only going to pour out all my feelings.
"Marcus. Please move out of my way." I say quietly. He doesn't move a inch and places his hands on my shoulders.
"Talk to me, baby. Please." He pleads. Whenever he used to call me 'baby' it used to make me melt and made me feel so happy now it just makes me sick.
"I don't wanna talk to you." I shrug as I fold my arm across my chest.
"Yes, baby. You do." Marcus sighs. He pushes my hair back and places his palm on my cheek.
"Mark, don't." I warn him and move his hand back.
"Why not?" He says. Why not? Is this dickhead serious right now?
"Maybe because we're divorced, Marcus. Maybe because you cheated on me with my couisn. Maybe because-" He cuts me off before I could carry on.
"I love you. I'm so sorry." Marcus says getting emotional.
"Screw you." I jab my finger into his chest and walk past him. I open the door to the restroom and walk down the hallway with Marcus right behind me. Marcus grabs my wrist and pulls me back.
"We can work things out." He says.
"I can't even look at you in the face and you think we can work things out!" I snap. "You cheated on me! Every chance you got you would call Nicole over!" I shout as tears run down my cheeks.
"I...I-I regret it. I f-feel bad." He stutters.
"Feel bad." I choke out. "I got so much hate because of you!" I sob. "People used to think that I was the one that cheated on you! I got death threats sent to me. People put blades in the mail they send and tell me to cut myslef!" I cry.
"It must have bee hard for you, I know." Marcus says.
"Hard? It was much more than hard! Some of my own family went against me becuase they thought I was just lying about you fucking Nicole behind my back whenever they would ask me why we were getting a divorce!" I shout. I turn my back towards him and wipe my cheeks that are stained with tears.
"How many fucking time do I gotta apologise!" Marcus shouts.
"I don't want your damn apology!" I scream at him. Marcus turns his face away from me and looks at the door to the club. I follow his gaze which lands on Nicole.
I shake my head in disbelief as a small sob eacapes my lips. I watch Nicole as she walks towards us, obviously drunk.
Marcus is here with her and he's begging for another chance? They're still seeing eachother after all that's happened. Neither of them regret what they did.
"Tessa." Nicole stumbles foward, Marcus catches her and helps her stand on her feet. For some reason, I can't speak. I can't even move. I guess it still bothers me to see them together.
"You alright?" Marcus turns to Nicole and tucks her hair behind her ear. My hand fly's to my mouth and I look around for the nearest exit since a bunch of girls just walked into the rest room.
I walk towards the exit but don't make it so I end up throwing up in the dustbin thats in the corner. I hold my hair back that's getting in the way. Just when i'm about to get up from the floor, I feel sick again and get back on the floor to throw up. I feel someone pull my hair back as they stroke my back.
"Damn, you throw up a lot." Marshall says when I turn to face him, a small smile forms on my lips. Even when I feel like shit somehow he makes me smile.
"Belive me. Last time i'm drinking." I sigh. "Can we go?" I ask him as he helps me up.
"Yeah." Marshall mumbles.
"Tessa. Hold on." Marcus says. Marshall turns to Marcus, confusion written across his face.
"Why? You've got Nicole." I shrug. I notice from the corner of my eye that Marshall's looking at Nicole me and Marcus with wide eyes.
"Fuck this bitch." Nicole slurs.
"Fuck you!" I spit back. "You know, Nicole. I've had enough. Enough of all the hate. Enough of all these godamn articles about my relationship with Marcus! Enough of my friends and family turning their back on me because of you!" I shout.
"Because of me? So your brothers are not talking to you because of me!" Nicole yells as she points a finger at her chest.
"Half of our cousins aren't talking to me because they think i'm making up lies about you and Marcus fucking around when he was married to me!" I shout.
"Maybe if you stayed at home and took a break from all this fame then you would still have a perfect relationship with Marcus!" She shouts.
Is this bitch serious?
Without another thought, I leap foward and slap her across the cheek. Nicole's hand fly's to her bright red cheek. She jumps foward and pulls on my hair, I get a hold of hers as I start to hit her on the head.
I feel a pair of arms around my waist and my feets come off the floor. Marshall drags me back as Marcus does the same to Nicole with Nicole.
"You bitch! You fucking bitch!" I scream as I try to get out of Marshall's grip but his grip is too strong.
"Tessa!" Marshall shouts as he pins me against the wall and placed his hands on each side of my head. "You're gonna get into some deep shit. Fuck them. Let's get outta here." He says calming me down.
"Okay." I nod breathlessly.
'Okay?" He repeats.
"Yeah." I nod. Marshall nods slowly and lets go off me. He takes my hand in his and nods towards the door to the club. As we walk past Nicole, I can't help but feel sad at how Marcus is still holding her close as he's telling her to calm down.
"You know you bought up the whole cheating thing upon yourself, right?" Nicole shouts making me stop in my tracks.
"How did I bring this upon myself?" I question as I walk past Marshall and back to where Nicole and Marcus are. "All i've done is be nice to you both." I say, near the end my voice cracks.
"You-" Marcus starts but I choose to ignore him and carry on talking to Nicole.
"I looked after your kids. Gave you a house. Paid for their education, food, clothes. Paid your debt and bills." I mark out everything on my fingers as the tears run down my cheek.
"Don't make me feel guilty about this." She shakes her head.
"You should feel guilty about this!" I shout.
"That's enough, Tessa!" Marcus shouts. I look at him in disbelief. "Why the hell are you still arguing with Nic when you say that your over it?" He says.
Oh wow.
"I have no idea." I say quietly. I turn on my heels and walk off.
"Wait! Tessa!" Marcus shouts, I stop next to Marshall and wait for him to speak. I turn to face him and watch him as he walks up to me. He gets down on one knee and opens the tiny box, reveling my wedding ring. I kept the engagement ring and he had kept the wedding one.
"Thats..." I trail off as fresh tears run down my cheek.
"Marry me." He says. "Marry me again, Tessa. I won't miss this up." He pleads as he takes my left hand in his and squeezes it.
I forgot, how do you breath again?
Nicole looks at us in disbelief as Marshall just looks at me, confused. I don't know what to do. He's proposing to me again...
Marcus looks down at the engagement ring that Marshall had buyed for thr fake engagement. He strokes the ring and looks back up at me.
"I'm engaged already." I say and pull my hand away from his.
"Tessa-" Marcus starts but stops when I slap him across the cheek. He touches his cheek as he stands back up on his feet and looks at me in shock.
"How could you ask me again?" I hit his shoulder. "You think it easy for me?" I ask as I slap his chest. "I hate you Marcus! I fucking hate you!" I start to cry as I hit him on his chest and face repeatedly.
The security man that had drove us here steps in the middle and pushes Marcus back. Marcus puts his hands up in defense as he steps back.
"I'm not doing anything!" He shouts at the security man.
"If you ever...ever talk to me or come near me again i'm going to get a restraining order! Both of you!" I point at Nicole and Marcus.
"Miss Black. The cars outside if you want to leave." The security says. I turn away from them and hands with Marshall as we walk back to the club.
"Have I got makeup running down my face?" I ask Marshall as we walk into the club. He rubs his thumb on the corner of my eyes.
"There..." He says slowly once he's done.
"Thanks." I say quietly. Marshall goes to grab our belongings from the booth as I wait at the bar. I order a bottle of burburn as I wait.
Once Marshall's back, I pull on my jacket and hide the burburn inside my jacket as we walk out. The paparazzi weren't exactly helping with my mood since they were asking so many questions. We quickly get into the car and the driver starts to drive.
"Don't you think you've had enough." Marshall says as he watches me take out the bottle from the jacket.
"I feel like shit already. What difference does it make." I say and drink from the bottle. I place my head on Marshall's shoulder and hand him the bottle. He lets out a long breath and takes a swig at the bottle.
"So that was Nicole and your ex?" Marshall asks.
"Yeah." I whisper. "Sometimes I really wish I could turn back time, you know?" I sigh as I squeeze my eyes shut.
"How back?" Marshall chuckles as he hands me the bottle back and places his arm around my shoulder.
"I don't know. To when I was in my late teens." I laugh sadly. "When I wasn't famous." I sigh. "Don't you wish that?" I ask.
"I like the way my life is right now." Marshall says after a long pause. "My past is pretty fucked up compared to yours." Marshall adds.
Oh god, Marshall. If only you really knew about my past. All those pageants and being starved at times by your mom because she thought I was fat to enter pageants. Being judged and mentally abused.
If only you knew about my past...
