How could my Dad just leave us?
My Mom dragged me back inside and sat me on the couch then she went in the kitchen and grabbed the first aid kit. She put a band-aid on my forehead.
Then she sat with me on the couch as I cried until we heard footsteps coming from up stairs. Then of course my sister came down asking where my Dad was.
When my mom told her he left she started bawling her eyes out, so my mom sat her on the couch too and held her in her arms and said everything was going to be okay.
She had her back facing me holding Felicity. Then Felicity said "Mommy can you come lie down with me?" And of course my mom said "Yes sweetie".
So she went upstairs with Felicity leaving me alone on the couch. So I decided to go upstairs. I went up to my room and I could hear my mom saying "It's all gonna be okay, I am here for you forever sweetie".
That kind of made me feel better but knowing it wasn't being said to me made me sadder.
I walked over to my window and stared out it thinking for a few minuets: My whole life I have been going to school assemblies where Felicity would be on Honor roll and getting certificates for winning science fairs. She always got straight A's and my parents were so proud.
But what about me.. I was sick of it, sick of her getting all the attention.
So I decided to runaway I grabbed my back pack and packed a pair of Pajamas, a change of clothes, my headphones and a couple books.
Then I put my back pack on and crawled out the window. I was now on the roof and I jumped down on to our car and then onto the street.
Then I ran as fast as I could away from my house. I ran an ran until I hit something... Someone? I flew back and my butt hit the sidewalk.
Who goes outside at one am? I thought.. Other than me?
I looked up and saw a dark brown haired man standing in front of me in a suit holding out his right hand to help me up.
I thought about it for a minuet then I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up and said "want to tell me what your doing out here so late". "Umm" I started.
"I kind of ran-away, but please don't take me back, I can't go ba-" I Pleaded. I was cut of by him saying "I'm not going to take you back".
I looked at him and saw him thinking then he spoke again "It's getting late why don't you spend the night at my place".
"You could be a killer" I said. He chuckled then said "Well you could always stay out here in the rain". "Okay, okay. Fine" I said. "I'm Malcolm by the way" he said.
