Zayn's POV
It's been a month since I've come back and me and Carson have been hanging out a lot more, whenever he gets home from school he always come over and we play x box, or watch movies, or sometimes we just talk. I ended up telling him all about what happened with my birth parents and he was nothing but supportive. We still haven't talked about the kiss, I don't want to bring it up and make him uncomfortable because what if he regrets it? I asked dad and he said to let things happen, I'm in sixth grade so I don't need to worry.
I was watching TV after finishing my school work when the doorbell rang, that must be Carson! I ran up and opened the door smiling at him, he gave a nervous smile back, I don't know why though he's been coming over for awhile.
"Hey Carson, how was boring regular school?"
"Boring."
I laughed and grabbed his arm taking him to the kitchen.
"My dad and Papa went out so we're stuck making food ourselves, but on the bright side Niall and Harry are at football so we are annoying older brother free!"
Carson laughed and then sat down while I found something for us to eat. I grabbed a bag of chips and two cans of fruit punch and gave one to Carson before he followed me to the living room. We sat there and just decided to talk since we haven't seen each other all weekend.
No One's POV
Liam and Louis just got home from grocery shopping and Louis was about to put away the groceries when he heard Carson and Zayn talking. Of course Louis being the nosy one he is decided to eavesdrop on their conversation like any father should, right?
"So tell me about this adoption thing, I mean I know your story, but how does it make you feel now?" Carson.
Louis was now really curious to hear this answer and Liam was too because he was standing right behind Louis listening.
"Well it sucks at first, because when your first taken out of your house you're super grateful but scared because your first thought is that you're homeless. I was lucky enough to get My Dad and Papa the first day because I would end up going to an orphanage since there were no other foster homes."
"What about now?" Carson again asked.
"What do you mean?"
"How do you feel now?"
"It's amazing I couldn't be happier, but I can't help but feel so out of place sometimes, they tell me I'm their real son and that they love me just as much but they didn't raise me, heck they haven't even had me for a year, I mean how could they love me as much as Niall and Harry, I'm not upset by it I mean it's just a normal human thing, take your little sister for example, she's had her blanket forever, if you tried to give her a new one would she love it as much as the old one?"
"I think she'd grow to love the new one just as much."
"I don't even care about that part though, it just sucks feeling like you're staying in a hotel, Niall and Harry's parents signed papers that they can't get their children back my parents didn't, they could fight for custody whenever they get out of jail, they just have so much more powers ban they should have, and I love My dad and papa I never want to leave again but it may "permanent" but it's never going to permanent until my parents are dead."
"If it makes you feel better Liam and Louis won't let you go anywhere."
"Thanks," Zayn half smiled.
Louis POV
I was shocked at what I was hearing I turned around and walked to the kitchen and sat down with my head in my hands.
"Li our own son feels like he's staying in a hotel!"
"I know Lou, but I think we need to have a talk with him tonight and explain that no matter what he's not going to be leaving, but I think the bigger issue is that he thinks we don't love him as much as Harry and Niall."
I started to sob and Liam engulfed me in a hug.
"Everything's going to be okay, we can have a talk with him before bed tonight." he said.
I nodded and continued to sob into my husbands chest.
Zayn's POV
"So Zayn, I've been meaning to ask you something."
"Go ahead," I smiled.
"Will you possibly be my date to the first day of spring dance in two weeks?"
"I-I would love to, but you really want to go with me?"
"Of course, and one more thing, will you be my boyfriend?"
"Yes, I will," I smiled as I blushed.
"Thank you so much!" Carson said.
Then without warning he leaned over and kissed me and I of course kissed back until he pulled away saying he had to leave and would text me. I started to clean up as he walked out the door, I brought the trash to the kitchen where dad was sitting with red eyes and papa was putting groceries away. I threw the stuff away and sat next to dad.
"Are you okay?"
"Um yea, it's just those damn allergies, it's not even spring yet and they've already started acting up!"
I could tell he was lying but I didn't say anything knowing it would make him uncomfortable.
"Oh, well how was shopping?"
"It was great, now is there anything going on with you? Your cheeks are all red and you have a grin on your face."
"Carson asked me to the dance in two weeks and asked me to be his boyfriend." I mumbled.
"My baby boy is growing up! Did you hear that li? He's going to a dance and has a boyfriend!"
"I heard it Lou, he's all grown up, it's like he's going to college tomorrow!"
I laughed and Dad gave papa a horrified look.
"Don't worry daddy I'm not going to college anytime soon!" I hugged him and then went to go upstairs when I was stopped.
"Hey Zee, me and daddy actual want to have a talk for a second."
I nodded and went to sit down next to Dad and Papa sat down too.
"It was Niall's fault!"
"Zee, you're not in trouble, we just wanna talk." Dad chuckled.
I nodded as Papa started talking.
"When we got home me and Louis overheard you and Carson talking."
"Oh. I'm sorry."
"Zayn you don't have to apologize for your feelings."
"You're now our son, we could have gotten you yesterday and loved you just as much as we do now, but is there anything we did that drove you to think that we don't love you as much as Harry and Niall?" Dad asked.
"No, I just thought that's how it would be, I mean you have more of a connection with Niall and Harry and I'm just some dirty kid."
"Zayn you're not some dirty kid, you're our beautiful little boy who we love so much, we could not live without you, we love you so much, and just as much as Niall and Harry, and I promise you that you that you're never leaving this house, it's official now, your parents cannot take you away, and they're in jail for awhile." Papa said.
"Really? You mean all of that?"
"Of course we do baby boy." Dad said.
I smiled and they pulled me into a little group hug.
"I love you guys too, thank you for everything."
