After a while, I realized what was happening and pulled away. My hand went up to my lips as I stared at him. Oh God. Oh God. No. Just no. I didn't.
But I did.
I had a freaking make out session with Colby Tozier. And I liked it.
I couldn't think of anything to say, so I didn't. What was there to say? Well, a lot. But I didn't want to talk to him. I wanted to get as far away from him as possible.
He whispered, "I don't hate you, Katherine."
I swallowed. This couldn't be happening. Any second now, I'd wake up from this twisted nightmare and forget all about it. I just shook my head. He couldn't like me. Not even as a friend. And I wouldn't like him. But, that kiss made me feel pretty amazing.
Can you hear yourself?! He's put you through hell for seven years! Get the hell out of there, you idiot!
So I listened to that bossy little voice in my head and got inside. Once in the comfort of my house, I ran upstairs to my room. Not long after, Courtney, Ashley, Tina, and Alina were crowded near the doorway of my room.
Courtney asked, "He told you?"
I shook my head slowly, staring at the wall, "He didn't tell me anything." After a moment of silence, I whispered, "He kissed me."
Alina said. "Awwwwwwwww." When I glared at her, though, she shut up.
Tina asked, "Should we tell everybody to leave?" I simply nodded.
Ashley shook her head, "Let me get this straight. My brother finally got the guts to kiss you and you just ran?"
I looked at her, "I - I didn't know what to do? Hell, I don't even know how I feel."
It was somewhat true. I couldn't allow myself to think the word 'hate' anymore. Maybe just strongly dislike. I wasn't stupid enough to just start liking him because of one freaking kiss, but it confused me.
Courtney whispered something to the others, who nodded then left. Then she stepped inside my room and closed the door before sitting on my green and black bed.
She sighed. "Colby has reasons for the way he treats you. Very crappy reasons, but still. You know how when you're children, you pick on the person you like? He decided to do it like that."
I stared at her, "What? Why? Doesn't he know that maybe if he hadn't been such a jerk all these years, I might feel the same way?"
"Boys are stupid." Courtney shrugged. Oh God, yes. I felt a little bit bad for Colby. He'd had feelings for me this entire time, and I probably just broke his heart moments ago by telling him over and over that I hated him. But then again, he did sort of deserve it.
I frowned, realizing I could still taste him on my lips. "Look, I don't want to talk right now."
Someone knocked on the door, "Knock, knock-ety, knock, knock." It was Blake. Great. Someone else to talk to me about Colby.
I groaned, "Please, just leave me alone. I know about Co-"
"Aw, you don't want to play Black Ops with me?!"
Courtney rolled her eyes, sighing. She got up and opened the door for him before getting out of the room. Again, Blake is so awesome. No wonder Alina couldn't help but talk about him a lot. A part of me wondered that if the Colby I known for all those years was a fake, that maybe he was like his older brother? If that was it, then maybe Colby wasn't as bad as I thought.
I asked, turning on the XBOX 360, "Where's Conan?"
Blake answered with one simple word, "Tina."
Conan had this cute little crush on Tina. He'd never really admitted it, but it was pretty obvious. It was sad, though, since my sister was taken by Skyler, who she was crazy about. She'd admitted that Conan's cute, but that's about it. I couldn't really blame her. Skyler was pretty hot.
What was it with the Blakeslees and the Tozier's, though? Blake and Alina had a thing for each other, but they were both too chicken to tell each other. Conan liked Tina. Then, I found out that Colby liked me. Funny, isn't it? I bet if I had a brother, Ashley would be all over him.
I nodded, "Oh. I feel a little bad for him."
"He knows that she doesn't feel the same way. You can't blame him for trying." He put the Black Ops disk in. I couldn't help but notice the way he said He knows that she doesn't feel the same way. Was he, in some weird way, talking about Colby? Well, I couldn't feel the same way. Not this soon. No matter what had just happened, he still spent seven years tormenting me. I wasn't going to forgive him that easy.
I frowned, "I get this creepy feeling it's not just Conan you're talking about..."
Blake shrugged, "I didn't come here to bother you about Colby. He does like you, though. I'm just not gonna go 'Oh my, like, God. Do you, like, like him back-' Wait, did that make sense? Like-like...Oh yeah, I guess it did. Huh. I am smart! Anyway 'You should, like, totally, like, go out with him! Then get in the year book for cutest couple! Ooh! Ooh! Then I could be the best man at the wedding! Or better yet, a bridesmaid! Oh my God, what are you gonna wear to the wedding! Screw the wedding, what about the honeymoon. Aw, wait! The children! How many will you have!? Sixteen? Ah, a very wise choice. What will their names be? Can you name one after m-'"
He shut up when I threw the controller at him. Instead, he groaned. Ha ha. Alina would so kill me if she were in the room. Then he burst out laughing. I stared at the older Tozier like he was crazy, but his laughter was like a freaking disease. I ended up laughing my head off on the floor. God, Blake was so weird.
Anyway, we played Black Ops for about an hour. I would've kicked his ass if he hadn't been blurting things like 'Mommy, help me!' or 'Mercy! Mercy on my soul' randomly.
Conan opened the door, "Blakey! Daddy says we need to change our diapers."
Blake stared at him, "What?"
"I have no idea. Okay, I'll say this is in a proper way instead of two year old way. Ahem." He cleared his throat, "My dear elder brother, our father has reqested that we return to the fort. He-"
I rose my eyebrow, "Fort?"
"Nothing's good enough for you people, is it!?" He grinned, though. Freaking retard. In a good way, though. It's too bad Tina didn't like him back. He would've been an awesome brother-in-law in a few years. But then again, Skyler was awesome, too.
Blake shook his head, "Ignoring Conan's creepiness, bye Katherine. Colby probably says bye, too."
Conan nodded, "Yeah, he does. I talked to him on the phone when dad called. You're apparently a 'bad ass kisser' or something, Katherine."
My jaw dropped. He told?! Well, I did, too. But I wonder what he said. Well, besides the fact that I'm supposedly a good kisser. Oh God, why was my face warm? I wasn't-No. I couldn't be blushing. God damn it! Freaking Colby. God, I hate him.
So the Tozier brothers-Well, the non-annoying ones-left the room, leaving me with the paused video game screen and a freaking red face. I turned off the XBOX and TV, then laid down on the bed. I stared at the ceiling, frowning.
God, what a creepy day.
