Levi Imagine - *gasp*--Sweetness

Note: Told you I would, right? Miss Scarlet, i'm working on your imagines diligently, worry not, but this came to me earlier and I couldn't resist. And no, this is not one where you get hurt and he confesses his undying love for you and you pull a recovery out of your ass. I don't play with that kind of thing so early. When I want you to sniffle, then sniffle you shall. Today, I just want a nice, loud Levi imagine.

"OI, SHIT FOR BRAINS!" You snapped, and Erin scrambled over to you. "Stop fucking around so much, you're giving me a headache. Go run a few laps, see if that doesn't break your spirit." He saluted you with a harsh glare and sauntered off, and you smirked. "You're always too hard on them." Hanji noted. "So? He thinks he's better than me, and I won't tolerate that."
"You just think you're hot shit because you stayed behind when you could've gone MP." Levi grumbled, and You rolled your eyes. "Oh please. I just like seeing him go red. He's got a lot of potential, but he needs to hone his skills."
"Yeah, you're a softie y/n, they think you're Levi but you're really Petra. Tsundere." Without a single thought, you shoved her off the bench and popped a piece of bread in your mouth. "Oww!"
"Tch. You deserved it." You almost smirked at Levi, but ducked down to hide it. "So, are we all set for the expedition tomorrow? Everyone ready?"
"When aren't we ready, Erwin?"
"Maybe when you're sleeping, and you look so cute!" You glared at Hanji, who had steadied herself once more. "You're asking to get pushed again, aren't you? I can deliver, if you'd like."
"No!" She flushed. "No, that's fine!"
You made a small sound of satisfaction and finished off your bread. "That's why I'm not making titan boy run until morning. I don't want anybody getting killed out there." You stood up, and Hanji sighed. "You are just a big softie, Y/N. You care too much."
"Yeah," you paused. "I guess I do." All eyes followed you from the moment you started walking to the moment you left, and then Hanji spun to face the group. "Can you believe her?! So sweet."
"She just doesn't want more people to die, Hanji. That doesn't make her sweet.""
"Well, she never lets anyone go to bed without food, never makes anyone go without sleep, and never makes crying cadets do anything tough. She also refuses to train in the rain. And the way she deals with you, Levi? Wuff." He scowled. "She's nothing but curt."
"You kidding me? Not only does she keep her room military grade sanitary, she also does the same to the kitchen every night so you don't go back to eating in your office. Plus, she trains anyone looking for your help." His eyes went wide, ever so slightly.
"You seriously didn't know how much Y/N coddles you?" Erwin gasped. "If she were to disappear, you'd be helpless for at least a month."
"That's nonsense. She has no reason to be anything but civil to me."
"Exactly." Hanji pointed her fork at him. "So why does she do the things she does?"
"Well, perhaps she is just that way."
"Nah, I think she likes you in particular, Levi. So that raises another question; why the fuck does she like you?" He stood with a grimace. "I assure you, she doesn't."
"How about a bet? If we can prove she's sweet this week, you have to be extra sweet to her."
"Fine. And if you do not, then you'll clean HQ to my standards for a month."
"Oh, and if we can prove that she's sweet on you, you've gotta tell her straight how you feel, even if it breaks her." He almost hesitated, but shook his head.
"Deal!"
The Next Day-Third person (I switched)
"Alright everyone, remember the briefing. You all know your teams, and it's me and the captain on cutting duty. Remember, don't be a hero and everything will be fine."
As they approached three seven meter class titans, everyone sprang into action, including Y/N and Levi, the named 'Dynamic Duo'. Hanji often joked that should you two get together, you would be forever dubbed the power couple. They were down to one titan, when suddenly...
"Hyaaaa!" A new member suddenly broke formation and dashed for the nape of a titan. Unfortunately even the stupid beast was able to detect such a sloppy attack, and swatted him down. Y/N let out a scream and sent an anchor into the titan's leg, swooping just in time to catch him. The break caused Levi to be caught, and he let out a cry. Y/n immediately dropped the kid, and he landed square on a horse, before shooting into a tree behind the titan. She let out a battle scream and dove forward, stabbing it in the nape. He blade got stuck, and without a thought she unclipped her belt. Levi, who was on a quick descent with the dead titan, reached his hand out just as she flew into him. The force of her impact opened the hand, and Levi quickly shot into a tree and slid down it, Y/N in his arms.
When they got down, he dropped to his knees, panting, and Y/N was far worse off. Still, she stormed over to the rebel and yanked him down off the horse. He whined as she dragged him over to the dead titan and threw him down at its face. He scrambled up, but she pushed him down again.
"DO YOU SEE THAT THING, ON THE GROUND, CADET?" He shrunk away from her. "THAT'S A TITAN. DO YOU KNOW WHAT TITANS ARE, CADET?"
"Yes." He whispered. "I CAN'T HEAR YOU, CADET, I ASKED IF YOU KNEW WHAT THAT IS, CADET!"
"Yes." He said, more firmly. "WHAT WAS THAT?"
"YES!" He slapped him. "DON'T SHOUT AT YOUR SUPERIOR! BECAUSE YOU DECIDED TO PLAY HERO, WE ALMOST LOST A MAN! HAD THIS MAN BEEN ANYONE ELSE, HAD I BEEN ANYONE ELSE, WE WOULD HAVE LOST A MAN! DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'VE DONE?!"
"Nobody died though!"
"IDIOT! NOBODY DIED BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE IN THE SQUAD HAVE A BRAIN! YOU'RE OFF THE SQUAD, SHIT HEAD, YOU CAN GO BE A FARMER."
"You can't do that! It's the captain's choice! Right, corporal?" He turned to his captain. Levi looked between him and the fuming Y/N. She was positively livid. He shrugged. "Not my problem, cadet."
"DO YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING TO SAY FOR YOURSELF, HMM? HMM?!"
"Yes! I'm sorry! It won't happen again, I swear! I'll clean! I'll run till I die! Anything!" She smirked at him, suddenly very calm. "Fine, cadet, anything. Seeing as you aren't responsible enough to fight titans, you're going back into training."
"Like..for a month?"
"FOR THREE YEARS, IDIOT! YOU OBVIOUSLY AREN'T A SOLDIER YET!"
"THAT'S NOT FAIR!"
"YOU'RE RIGHT!" She screamed, and then took a deep breath. "You're right. It's more than fair." Rain had started falling on them, and she pushed him down into the mud. "You can walk back, pack your things, and reapply to train. Maybe next time you'll get it right." She turned to see everyone, minus two horses, hers and the cadet's. "They got spooked when you went all...discipline." Hanji explained. Levi held out his hand and she gratefully climbed behind him on his horse. They started back, demoted soldier schlumping behind them as the rain let up to a soft patter. She was soaked, and shivering.
"Y/N, weren't you too harsh on them?" Hanji trotted alongside them. "I know we almost lost humanity's strongest, but..."
"Hanji Zoe. I would have done the same had it been anyone in the squad. Though you're correct, I more than likely wouldn't have shoved him if it were not Levi." He stiffened, and Hanji smirked. "I see. Well, you looked really intense out there. I'm glad you were able to save him."
"Me too, Hanji. Me too."
The Next Day
"So, I heard things got hairy out there, Y/N. Is it true that you sent Heinst back to training?" The woman looked up at Eren, and gave him a curt nod. "Wow." He breathed. "Hanji said that you were yelling so loud you spooked some horses."
"Yes, I was."
"All over the corporal?"
"Same if it were you, or anyone here, Eren. What he did was unacceptable and anyone could have died. Titans are serious business. " He nodded, and she continues chewing on her bread. "I'll do the same to you if you ever pull something like that."
"Uh...yeah. If I ever go on an expedition with you, you can count on me." She nodded, and he turned and left.
Mikasa floated in, over to Y/n's table.
"Y/N?"
"Hmm?"
"One girl has locked herself in her room. She's hysterical, her last family passed away a few weeks ago and she received word today." She immediately stood up, and followed her out to the cabin.
"Levi!" Hanji burst into his office. "Knock first." He snapped. "Come quick, y/n's being sweet!" He reluctantly stood up and let her drag him outside of a door, where soft sobbing was heard. "I don't get why-"
"Shh!" He listened closely. "Listen, love. Listen. You must be strong, now, because you are humanity's strongest."
"N-no, that's corporal Levi!"
"Who, him? Why, no, of course he his. But so are you. And so am I."
"That doesn't...no..."
"Hush love. You're here to fight the good fight, aren't you? You placed ninth, yet here you are. Look at you, you're positively radiating courage. All of us here....we're strong. We want to fight. Do you want to fight?"
"Y...yeah, but she's gone!"
"Not yet, really. Nobody who is remembered is really gone, hmm? You will remember your grandmother always, yes?"
"But...but what if I die?!"
"Well, I will remember your grandmother, too. And if she saw you, would she be proud at this exact moment?"
"N...no."
"Well then, stand up straight, train, and be ready to fight. Remember the pain and become strong. Never forget, always forgive, and you will always make her proud."
"I...I will! I will fight the fight for humanity with you and the corporal!" Y/n chuckled. "Yes, you will. Are you alright?"
"Yeah! Hey...can I ask you something?"
"Certainly."
"Do you...like...corporal Levi?"
"I assume you do not mean as friends?"
"Yeah!"
"In confidence, I can tell you that I do look at our relationship...longingly."
"You do! You like him!"
"Yes, well. Remember what I said, cadet. Stay smart."
"Got it!" Hanji pulled Levi away and made it look as though they were walking as Y/n exited.
"Oh, Y/n! Hey! Did you take care of everything?!"
"Yes, I believe so. She simply needed a firm talking too."
"Alright dear. See you." She nodded and walked the other way. Once she was out of earshot, Hanji laughed and poked the short man in the ribs. "Boom! After you break her heart, you've got to be super nice to her! No way she's punish a cadet for you anymore!"
"Why do you want to make her hate me?"
"Because, Levi. She deserves better than picking at the scraps of your wrinkly, sad heart. You'll set her straight and that's the end." He gave her a little smirk. "Who said i'd be breaking her heart?" She watched him, agape as he left, and started running over it in her mind.
He's always so cold to her...but he never yells.
He's never nice...but he never curses at her or calls her brat openly.
He's always called her by her name...and he always keep her safe, and he let her ride with him, and he let her sit with-
She gasped. "OHMYGOD!" People glared at her as she laughed crazily. Corporal loves Y/N! Whoo!
Three Days Later
"Day off, Y/n. What are you gonna do?" She shrugged at Erwin. "I don't know, really. I have to clean my room...."
"But it's spotless!"
"I sneezed in it the other day." She rolled her eyes. "Might as well clean again."
"I've got a feeling," Hanji glared at Levi at this word, "that you'll find something to do."
"Oh, i'm sure I will Hanji. I always do."
"Well, I'm sure that an idea will tell itself to you-"
"Y/N, could you come see me in my office after you finish?" Levi stood. "Certainly."
She knocked sharply three times. "Name and business."
"Y/n, you told me to-"
"Come in." She walked in to see him sitting on the edge of his desk. "So, what did you need?" He reached behind him and came back with a red rose. "I think we've both been fairly obvious with our intentions thus far, Y/n. So we should probably just get together."
"Are you asking me to hook up, corporal?" He scowled. "Of course not. I'm asking you to...in Hanji's words, become the power couple with me. It makes sense."
"I...sure."
"Sure?" His eye twitched. "That's all you have to say?" She let out a light chuckle, and took the Rose, and then gently placed her hand on his chin, and kissed his cheek lightly. "It does make sense, doesn't it." He flushed a deep pink.
"Of course it does. It's not like I doubted you would reciprocate, anyways." He tched.
"Of course. Was that all, then, Levi?"
"No. One more then." He pulled her in by the collar and kissed her on the lips, roughly. He couldn't help but notice she tasted as sweet as she was.
