OC Anne

"Hello?" She called, walking into the shop. "Hello?" She heard some creaking floorboards. "Hello! Can I interest you in a coffin today?" The voice was bright, but the shop was not. "I can't see you, but yes. I need a coffin for my sister, the poor dear." The tall man stepped into her line of vision. "Of course." She bit her lip. "Well, I might ask if there are any services you might need, a maid or a cook? My family doesn't have the funds for dearest sister." The man laughed. "I need an assistant, live in. In return, you'll get your living expenses and a coffin!" She nodded. "Sounds fair. I'll take the coffin home and come here tomorrow after the funeral, with my things." He laughed and nodded, helping her load the coffin and waving her off, excited for his new assistant.

"Ah, you're back!" She was met with his cheery voice as soon as she got there."your room is sixth door on the right, down that hallway, meet me back here once you drop your things off." She did just that, and he handed her a rag. "You'll be dusting the merchandize , can't have it getting dusty." She accepted the task with a sign and got to work."

"So, tell me bout you." He chimed, sitting on a coffin. "Well, my name is Ann and I mostly read. That's about it. And you, undertaker?" He grinned and swung his legs. "Tell me a joke." She sighed and sat back from her task, deep in thought. "What do you call a walking corpse without a brain?" He looked at her expectantly. "Well, I suppose he could be called a lawyer." The undertaker laughed, shaking the building with the force of it. "We're going to be good friends, ANN!"
