Chapter 17 the wolf, the witch and the bite mark.
Emily POV
The sound of voices could be heard in the other room waking me up from my blissful slumber.
"Do you hear them?" Damon asked annoyed.
"Yup," I growled while attempting to roll over and go back to sleep but it was no use.
"Some people just don't have respect for others." Damon sighed while rolling out of bed and taking me with him.
"Damon let go!" I growled as he carried me out of the room.
"Nope if I have to get up then so do you." I sighed but remained quiet thinking to myself. Last night I had found out that Damon still had feelings for Elena but I knew he loved me as well, he had to. This was why I hated emotions they only confused you. Suddenly I was brought out of my thoughts when Damon threw me down on the couch beside Elena.
"So the sun and the moon curse is fake?" Stefan asked confused.
"Yes the real curse was one placed on Klaus to keep his werewolf side at bay. Now he is going to try to break the curse tonight on the full moon." Elijah explained calmly.
"We can't let him become as a hybrid he will go sick with power, why can't I go kill him now?" I questioned.
"Because you'll die!" Everyone else in the room screamed.
"Whoa since when have you all turned against me?" I sighed while rolling my eyes.
"Alright how do we break this curse?" Stefan asked while turning his attention back to Elijah.
"Well the ritual is relatively straight forward. The ingredients for it, you already know."
"The moonstone." Stefan stated.
"A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that is bound inside the stone. After that since klaus is both vampire and werewolf he will sacrifice one of each." Elijah explained while dragging his fingers across the table.
"And where do I fit into it all?" Elena asked confused.
"The final part of the ritual, Klaus must drink the blood of the doppleganger to the point of your death." Quickly a tense silence settled over the room as that information set in before Elena pipped in.
"Then that's where you come in." She breathed while staring at Elijah. Quietly he opened a wooden box and pulled out a glass container.
"This is an elixir I required some 500 years ago for Katerina, it possesses mystical properties of resuscitation." Elijah said while studying the bottle in hand.
"So I'll be dead?"
"And then you won't." He explained with a smile.
"That's your plan, a witches potion with no expiration date. You want to come back to life Elena, what about john's ring?" Damon growled while I held him back.
"The ring only works on humans, the doppleganger is a supernatural occurrence, odds are it won't work on her." Elijah explained while Damon attempted to jump at him.
"Don't Damon this isn't his fault." I whispered.
"What if it doesn't work Elena?" Damon asked.
"Then I guess I'll just be dead." She shrugged.
"Ok I'm with Damon we can't let that happen!" I hissed.
"Thank you." Damon said while smiling down at me. However the others completely ignored us.
"So do we know if klaus has everything, does he have a werewolf?" Elena asked curiously.
"Klaus has been waiting to break this curse for over a thousand years, if he doesn't already have a werewolf, my guess is by tonight, he will." Elijah explained while staring at Elena and Stefan, knowing I wasn't needed I left.
(Meanwhile at the Lockwood's)
"Tyler please come home, I need you here I have had a terrible accident and I am in the hospital. Please Tyler come home." Mrs. Lockwood pleaded into the phone while looking up into the eyes of the witch known as Maddox.
"Why did I say that?" She asked him confused.
"Because you had a terrible accident." Suddenly Maddox arm shot out causing Carol to fly over the hand railing falling on the floor unmoved.
Emily POV
Seriously Damon, it's not even noon. I'm going to start thinking you're an alcoholic." I groaned while taking the champagne from him.
"Well I'm surrounded by idiots Em, they really expect Elijah to save Elena?" Damon growled annoyed.
"I know Damon but what other option do we have, we can use all my power and let me die.."
"No!" He growled while pulling me into his arms.
"I see there is quite the party out here." Stefan chuckled while joining us.
"Go away Stefan." Damon growled while hugging me tighter.
"Look Damon I know you're upset about what took place, but what can I do Elena made up her mind. She is trusting Elijah and I am putting my faith in her." Stefan stated.
"Then one of our girls is going to end up dead! Why do you trust her so much Stefan?" Damon growled while slightly turning away from Stefan.
"Because she put her faith in me. She chose to trust me in spite of what I am, what we are. If I trust someone's gut it's hers." He stated.
"Then your the biggest idiot of them all." With that said Damon turned away dragging me with him back into the house.
Elena POV
"I thought they'd understand why I have to do this." I sighed while studying the elixir.
"Why are you doing this?" Elijah asked curiously.
"Because I'm the key to breaking the curse, Klaus is here because of me." I explained while shrugging my shoulders.
"You know there still is a chance this elixir won't work." He commented.
"I know I might die but I have to take the chance. And if I do die I need you to promise to take care of Emily like a true uncle." I said with a slight smile.
"You have my word," he smirked.
Suddenly a door slammed and I heard Jenna yelling.
"Get out, get out." Quickly we ran into the hall to see Alaric standing there while Jenna held a crossbow pointed at him.
"Jenna it's me I swear." He pleaded while looking at Jenna.
"Prove it," she hissed while not letting go of the cross bow.
"Um ok the first night we spent together Jermey walked in and..."
"Ok, it's him." Jenna sighed while lowering the crossbow.
"Why did he let you go?" Stefan asked confused.
"He wanted me to deliver a message. The sacrifice happens tonight."
Emily POV
Once Alaric told everyone the message the others started discussing plans as I left to answer my cell.
"Hello?" I said confused.
"Emily it's Tyler, can I pick you up for a bit?" Tyler asked sounding close to tears.
"Oh my god, where are you I thought you died you stupid dog!" I growled into the phone.
"I'm sorry I had to get away, I'm outside the Salvatore's please hurry." Without giving it a second thought I ran out the door and towards Tyler's truck.
"Why are you here?" I asked while jumping in his truck.
"My mother is in the hospital I have to go see her and I didn't want to go alone incase..." He didn't finish his sentence but I knew where it was heading.
"Of course Tyler you drive I just have to make a quick call." He nodded before pulling out of there and heading towards the hospital as I called Damon.
"Hello?" He answered confused.
"Damon I am heading to the hospital, I wanted to let you know I'm not missing just visiting an injured friend." I explained calmly.
"I thought I told you not to set foot out of the house without me or Stefan!" Damon growled.
"This is important Damon, I have to go." I stated.
"Well I can't really stop you now but when you get back I'm warning you Emily." Damon said as his voice filled with worry.
"Damon the sacrifice is tonight it will all be over, just relax and get a drink i'll be back as soon as I can." Just as I hung up on Damon we pulled into the hospital parking lot. Quietly the two of us filed out and went in search of Mrs. Lockwood. Soon we found her sleeping in a bed with a sling on his arm and a brace around her.
"Oh god," he whispered.
"It's ok she's breathing which means we know she is alive." He nodded as the two of us just stood there waiting. Soon carol opened her eyes and stared at us.
"Tyler she whispered as he went to her side."
"Yeah it's me." He said while kissing her forehead.
"You're back?" She smiled.
"Yeah I am." He stated while smiling at me which I gladly returned.
Elena POV
"So you don't remember anything that happen?" Stefan asked curiously.
"No it's like I blacked out and woke up three days later. Katherine was there." Alaric stated.
"She's under compulsion, Damon snuck her some vervain but she can't leave until Klaus tells her she can." Stefan explained.
"Where is damon?" I asked confused.
"I saw him go upstairs." Jenna said. Nodding I got up and left as Ric asked what else he did.
"You disappeared." I stated while entering Damon's room.
"Emily left and went to the hospital, she won't tell me why." Damon growled while clutching the phone.
"Damon give her some space and come downstairs." I sighed.
"No I don't need to hear anymore." He growled.
"I need you to understand why I am doing this." I groaned.
"Why? It clearly doesn't matter what I think." He growled.
"I'll be fine Damon, I'll drink the elixir and Emily will kill Klaus. Then all of this will finally be over." I said with a smile.
"If it works, why am I the only one that sees the odds are stacked against us. You could die, Emily could die, there has to be another way." He hissed.
"There isn't," I stated while shaking my head.
"And you're going to die Elena."
"Then I'll come back to life." I said while rolling my eyes.
"These are not risks we should be taking!"
"My life Damon, my choice." I sighed while looking up at him.
"There is another way." Suddenly Damon appeared in front of me and bit into his arm before forcing his blood down my throat." Suddenly Stefan appeared and ripped him off me.
"What did you do!" Stefan growled.
"If she is so set on dying at least this way I know she will come back." Damon stated.
"As a vampire, how could you of all people take that choice away from her?" Stefan growled as I continued to cough on the floor.
"Go ahead wish me an eternity of misery, you'll get over it." Suddenly a fight broke out between the two brothers and before I could do anything Damon shoved a table leg into Stefan's stomach. I watched as he fell to the ground and I rushed over.
"You're going to be ok." I cooed while pulling out the stake.
"What happen." Alaric asked while walking in the room.
"Help," Stefan gasped.
"Jenna there are blood bags in the basement go get them now!" Alaric ordered.
Damon POV
"I'm guessing you won't need this elixir anymore, feeding her vampire blood makes it useless." Elijah explained while closing it.
"We both know it wouldn't have worked." I growled while chugging down some rum.
"You know Damon you talk a good game but you don't really know anything, Elena will never forgive you for this and Emily will stand by her side. And for a vampire never is a very long time.
Alaric POV
"Thank you, both of you." Stefan groaned while throwing away the empty blood bag.
"Yeah well we will be downstairs." I said while leading Jenna out of the room. "I know it's a lot to take in." I said once the two of us left the room.
"Yeah," she whispered while not looking up at me.
"I tried to protect you from all this, but I should have known you could handle it." I said with a small smile.
"Can I?" She asked timidly.
"Well you just did. Look Jenna I know we have a lot to talk about."
"Hey," she interrupted while placing a gentle hand on my cheek. "I'm glad you're ok." With that said she smiled before leaning in for a kiss which I happily returned.
Emily POV
"Thank you for coming." Tyler whispered while moving us away from his mother.
"Don't thank me Tyler, I will always be here for you, you know that." I chuckled while bringing him In for a hug.
"I know Emily and thank you for that." I pulled away from the hug and smile as we made our way out of the room only to run into the last werewolf I wanted to see, Jules.
"What are you doing here?" Tyler asked her sounding annoyed.
"I should be asking you that I told you not to come!" Jules hissed while staring at Tyler until her gaze shifted to me.
"Emily, what are you doing here." She growled.
"Still upset about our last encounter Jules? I tell ya Elijah is so overprotective I mean come on." I chuckled while rolling my eyes.
"Over protective, he's an original I'm surprised he didn't kill you." She growled.
"You can't kill family Jules." I chuckled as her mouth fell open.
"Family." I just nodded as she stared at me, but thankfully Tyler intervened.
"She is my mother Jules I had to come." He hissed.
"Well now we have to get out of here and lock ourselves up before tonight." She hissed while grabbing his arm. Silently I followed behind them as we left the hospital.
"Tyler, Jules, Emily?" Caroline said while getting out of her car.
"We'll give you a few minutes." Jules commented as Caroline turned to Tyler. Slowly I walked away and leaned against a nearby tree, watching the two catch up. I pitied Tyler I knew how Caroline could be when she was wound up. Suddenly Tyler turned away from her and headed towards the car, but he didn't make it far before him and Caroline were down for the count. I saw Maddox walk up to them along with a female witch I didn't recognize.
"God dammit Maddox really!" I growled while jumping on his back.
"Oh look I found another one." He chuckled while holding onto my arms as I attempted to strangle him.
"Who's that?" The female witch asked.
"Meet the youngest original, she's all bark and no bite. You can pet her if you want." He chuckled while lifting me higher on his shoulders.
"Why can't I strangle you!" I growled while attempting to choke him.
"Because I'm spelled Emily, your father was right, you are naive. Greta do me a favour and pack the werewolf and vampire up, I got daddy's little girl." I growled at the comment and went for his neck again but he didn't even flinch. Quietly he walked back to the car and pulled out a cell phone.
"Hello Klaus, yes it's Maddox. No everything is fine we have a vampire and werewolf, but I picked up something a little extra." Suddenly the phone was shoved in my face.
"Say hi Emily." Maddox chuckled.
"Hello?" I sighed while rolling my eyes.
"Why hello my little flower isn't this a nice surprise, I'll tell Maddox to look after you as I have business to attend to with the Salvatore's, but don't go anywhere." Chuckling he hung up.
"Alright let's go have some fun." Maddox chuckled while throwing me in the car as it drove away.
Damon POV
I made my way into the grill and ordered a drink just as Ric sat next to me.
"I screwed up." I groaned while taking the drink from the bartender.
"Yeah, yeah you did," Ric sighed while taking a drink.
"Gentleman?" A voice asked with a clear British accent. "Why so glum?" The voice continued just as a tall lean man with blue eyes and blond hair approached us.
"Ugh, klaus I presume." I groaned while hanging my head in annoyance.
"In the flesh, thanks for the loner mate." Klaus chuckled while looking over at Ric.
"Any reason you stopped by to say hi?" I growled while getting up from my seat.
"I'm told you fancy my daughter and your brother my doppleganger. Just thought I'd remind you to not do anything you'll regret. However Emily is taken care of already." He chuckled softly.
"What does that mean?" I hissed.
"Nothing you need to concern yourself with." He chuckled.
"Well thanks for the advice." I said with a smirk "I suppose I couldn't convince you to postpone this could I?" I said with a small smile.
"You are kidding, he is kidding right?" Klaus asked while looking at Ric.
"No not really." Ric said while rolling his eyes.
"I mean come on what's one month, I mean you can catch up with Emily it's a good time." I chuckled.
"You wouldn't let me do that, the minute you see Emily you'll flee." He said with a smirk.
"I haven't yet have I?" I smirked.
"Let me be clear, I have my vampire, I have my werewolf. I have my daughter to stand by me, I have everything I need. The ritual will happen tonight. So if you want to live to see tomorrow, don't screw it up."
Signing I sat back in the stool as klaus left. "That was fun." I said while looking over at Ric.
"You're gonna screw it up aren't you?" Ric commented.
"You think if I took his werewolf out of the equation that Elena might get over the fact that I almost turned her?" I asked him curiously.
"I think it won't matter because you'll be dead." Ric stated.
"But without the werewolf, he can't perform the ritual tonight which means I would have bought her one month before the next full moon." I declared.
"But you'll still be dead and you will take Emily with you." Ric said while narrowing his eyes at me.
"Emily," I sighed.
"There is the lightbulb, almost forget about her?" Ric asked.
"No, I can't even if I wanted to." I growled frustrated. "Look are you going to help me or what?" I asked annoyed.
"What do you want me to do?"
"Just drive to your place." Ric looked a bit skeptical but nodded as I ran out the door and towards the apartment buildings. Sighing I waited until Ric pulled up and followed him up to his apartment where he opened the door.
"What are you doing here!" Katherine growled.
"Someone had to invite him in, Damon would you like to come in?" Ric asked while moving aside. Smirking I approached the door and hopped in as Katherine glared at me.
"Are you trying to get me killed!" She growled, suddenly I had her pinned up against a wall.
"I got it from here Ric." I yelled over my shoulder.
"You sure?" He asked from the doorway.
"Yeah only one of us needs to get blamed for this, get back to the house. Keep Elena from handing herself over." I said.
"Ok," he replied while Katherine pushed me away.
"Get blamed for what?" She asked confused.
"I need to know where klaus is keeping his werewolf." I sighed while looking at her.
"Why? What are you going to do?" She asked curiously.
"Dead werewolf equals no ritual." I explained.
"No. You can't interfere Damon, klaus will kill you and everyone you ever met!" She growled annoyed.
"Not Emily, or Elena I just need to delay this thing." I sighed.
"No, no way." She hissed.
"You should like this it is going to buy another month of your pathetic life." I growled.
"Right. Except I'm not the vampire he is planning on sacrificing." She chuckled.
"What?" I asked hoping I heard wrong.
"Yeah, he's got Caroline Forbes and Tyler Lockwood. He picked them up with Emily at the hospital." She chuckled.
"And where did he get that idea from." I growled while approaching her.
"Whoa there I am just trying to stay alive long enough to get myself out of here." Katherine stuttered.
"What if I told you Elena had vampire blood in her system?" I said while watching her reaction.
"What!?" She growled.
"Imagine how much fun it will be competing for Stefan's love with Elena for i don't know, forever.You could have settled for me but I'm taken. Found my mate." I chuckled.
"No, no you couldn't have." Katherine hissed.
"Yeah it's Emily, funny people the fates." I chuckled.
"The tomb!" She hissed. "He's got them in the tomb."
"Thank you."
Emily POV
"This is boring, I don't even understand why we're here!" I groaned as Maddox just glared at me.
"Emily just shut up you are seriously getting on my nerves." Maddox growled.
"That's your fault for kidnapping me, haven't you been told I'm just one big pain in the ass." I chuckled while swinging my legs. I sat on the counter top in some house I never knew existed. It was just outside the limits of mystic falls which made it a great place to hide away in.
"So is this where you and that Greta girl have been staying?" I asked while looking around the spacious kitchen.
"I thought I told you to shut up!" He growled getting frustrated.
"What it's not my fault big bad daddy original has you on babysitter duty." I chuckled while crossing my arms.
"Yes it is, if you would have just been a nice little girl for him then you wouldn't need a baby sitter." Maddox growled while flipping through a spell book.
" oh let me try a spell." I smiled while taking the book from him.
"These are very powerful spells Emily, you wouldn't be able to handle them." Maddox chuckled while rolling his eyes.
"Wanna bet?" Smirking I flung open the book to a random page and stumbled across a restraint spell. Reading over it carefully I raised my hands and resisted it. Maddox stared at me with a smirk till he started floating upwards and was flung back against the wall. I watched as he struggles but it was no use, he was immobilized.
"I can't do the spell you said?" I chuckled while putting the spell book down and heading for the door only for Greta to walk in.
"I don't think so little girl." Quickly she released Maddox from my spell and approaching me.
"I think you've had enough fun, now sleep." Before I could fight it everything around me became blurry and I passed out.
Klaus POV
"So you have her secured?" I growled into the phone.
"Yeah, she is with us now, I didn't know she was so powerful Klaus, it took both me and Greta to take her down." Maddox explained.
"Well she is my daughter, just make sure she is with one of you at all times until tonight, I can't deal with her little tricks today." With that said I hung up on Maddox and walked into the apartment where Katarina was standing by the kitchen counter.
"What have to been up to?" I asked suspiciously.
"Making coffee, want some?" She asked while holding up the pot.
Quickly at vampire speed I wrapped my hand around her neck and lifted her off the ground. "What. Have. You. Been. Doing." I hissed while staring her in the eyes.
"Making coffee." She chocked out. Confused I studied her pupils before dropping her to the ground. Annoyed I watched as she slowly turned away from me, then something dawned on me.
"Wait," I hissed. "Take off your bracelet." Quietly she pulled off the jewelry and dropped it in my open hand.
"Now I want you to walk over to the window and stand in the sunlight." I said with a smirk.
"But I'll burn." She squeaked out.
"You don't have a choice." Obediently she turned on her heels and walked to the window as I picked up the coffee cup and took a sip. I watched in satisfaction as she stood in the sunlight and slowly burned screaming and groaning in pain. "That's enough." I chuckled as she slammed herself into a wall to escape the sunlight. "Guess I was wrong, oh well. Now there is something I need you to do for me." I chuckled while looking down at Katherine's burned form.
Emily POV
"Oh so I wasn't enough, now you have to look after two more people, geez when will it be enough for you." I chuckled as Maddox and I walked into the forest.
"Emilia be quiet, we are suppose to be spying." He growled at me.
"And when have I ever listened to the rules, hate to break it to you but I'm not starting now." I sighed while rolling my eyes at him. Suddenly I heard the sound of approaching footsteps and before I could react Maddox pulled me behind a tree. Peering around the large trunk I saw Damon approaching the tomb.
"Which one are you trying to save the blond or the wolf?" Maddox asked while approaching Damon.
"Or me I am an option to." I said while leaning against the tree.
"Emily I said to be quiet!" Maddox growled while turning to face Damon.
"Did you really believe klaus would leave them unprotected?" Maddox asked with a chuckle.
"Wishful thinking?" Damon said.
"Well you no what they say about wishful thinking, it makes an ass out of u and me, wait no that's assuming. I guess they go together what do you think Maddox?" I asked while studying my nails.
"Oh for the love of anything, Emily shut the hell up!" Maddox yelled which made a smirk appear on Damon's face right before he jumped Maddox. Quickly Maddox reacted and pushed Damon backwards with his magic until he was on the ground screaming.
"Maddox that's enough!" I screamed while paralyzing him just as three bullets flew through his chest.
"Matt?" I said confused as he descended with a gun.
"Where's Caroline." Matt asked while storming towards Damon not even Acknowledging me.
"Not a good time to play the hero Matt." Damon sighed as Matt cocks his gun.
"Whoa take it easy Matt." I hissed as he approached Damon.
"Listen I'm just here to rescue her ok." I was getting annoyed with this chatter so I grabbed Matt's gun and hit him on the head with it.
"Can we go get them now." I sighed while throwing down the gun.
"Yes, but when this is all over you are in so much trouble." Damon growled while taking hold of my hand and dragging me down the stairs into the tomb.
"Here I got it." I chuckled watching Damon struggle to move the tomb entrance.
"No I got it!" He growled while pushing the thing away and pulling me inside.
"Damon, Emily?" Caroline asked confused.
"Your boyfriend is outside with a rifle gun loaded with wooden bullets." Damon stated while breaking the chains off of Caroline. "You have some explaining to do." Damon hissed.
"Don't get mad at her because of me." I sighed while Damon just glared at me.
"What Matt!" She yelled.
"He knows about us?" Tyler hissed.
"No- I,"
"Leave it for tomorrow." I sighed while helping Caroline to her feet as Damon watched me like a hawk.
"Great lets go." Damon hissed.
"No Damon I'm not leaving without Tyler!" Caroline stated.
"Fine, it's getting dark, how far can you get away from here?" Damon asked Tyler.
"My family's cellar, I can lock myself up." Tyler explained.
"I'll help." I piped in.
"No, that is not going to happen, you're lucky I'm not gluing you to my side Emily!" Damon growled.
"I'll help him." Caroline said.
"Don't make me regret this." Damon said while breaking Tyler's chains, yet he still refused to release me.
"Great can we get moving now, dark, full moon, lives at stake." I groaned.
"Right lets go." Damon agreed while dragging me out of the tomb.
"I can walk Damon." I growled while clawing at his hands.
"Yeah to bad, you lost that privilege Emily, I thought I lost you again!" Damon growled as we made our way outside.
"Matt!" Caroline screamed while running to a groaning Matt.
"Did you hit him!" Caroline hissed at Damon.
"No that was me sorry." I chuckled.
"Yeah are you forgetting, gun with wooden bullets." Damon explained.
"Tyler?" I asked while watching Him cling too his arm.
"It's starting." He growled.
"Oh great, come on grab the boys and let's to." Damon sighed while dragging me along with him.
Elena POV
I smiled at Stefan as I got out of his car in front of the Salvatore house.
"I was getting worried, thought you did something foolish." Klaus chucked while staring at the two of us.
"Are you ready my dear?" He asked while holding a hand out to me.
"Ready," I sighed while attempting to walk past Stefan but he held me back.
"No!" He hissed.
"Oh don't be stupid, no reason for you to die too." Klaus chuckled.
"Hey Stefan listen, It's fine, I'll go no one needs to get hurt. There is no reason for you to get hurt." I said while leaning in and kissing him gently. "I love you," I whispered.
"I love you." He replied before pulling me in for another kiss. Unwillingly I pulled away and looked at him.
"Close your eyes," unwillingly he did as I asked and I disappeared from his view with klaus.
Emily POV
We were all running through the forest while Matt just kept staring at Tyler.
"What's happening to him?" He asked confused.
"He better not wolf out on us." I shot Damon an unimpressed look before his phone rang.
"Really now someone calls you!" I snapped as he pulled out his cell.
"Not a good time little bro." Damon growled while grabbing hold of my hand.
"What are you doing!" Stefan snapped.
"Saving the day, thought you'd understand. just tell elena to stay put." Damon chuckled.
"She's already gone Damon." Stefan sighed.
"What!" I screamed while Damon growled.
"Klaus came and took her." Stefan explained.
"Alright um I'll take care of it." Damon sighed while hanging up. Suddenly I looked up and saw the moon full and plump.
"Gah!" Tyler screamed as he fell on all fours.
"It's happening I can feel the power, my body is heating up as well." I hissed as Tyler screamed in pain.
"Damon let go of me." I growled at him.
"Not gonna happen , unless you're going all wolf and will tare my eyes out you are staying with me." He stated.suddenly Tyler growled and lunged for us, Damon quickly pushed me away as Tyler jumped on him.
"Tyler no!" I hissed as he snapped his jaws at Damon, before he pushed him off.
"Damon?" I asked timidly.
"I'm fine!" He growled.
"Look we have to go, you get to the Lockwood cellar we're going this way." Matt nodded and ran with Caroline before we took off in the other direction.
"You're not fine I can sense it." I sighed while tears welled up in my eyes.
"Everything will be ok we just need to focus on tonight ok." I nodded as we continued to sprint.
Klaus POV
"Where are Maddox and Emily, they should be back by now?" I asked Katherine while entering the apartment.
"I don't know." She sighed sounding bored. Ignoring her I plugged in my phone and opened the laptop.
"What are you doing, where is Elena?"She groaned annoyed.
"I sent her off with Greta who said Emily was on patrol with Maddox which is why they should be back." I growled.
Suddenly a burst of air filled the room before I felt a presence behind me.
"I wasn't aware you two had been invited in." I sighed while turning to face Damon and Emily.
"I'm here to say you have to postpone the ritual." Damon demanded while wrapping his arms around my daughter.
"Didn't we already have this conversation." I sighed in irritation.
"Yeah but that was before I rescued your werewolf and vampire plus I killed your witch." Damon chuckled as I approached him.
"You what?" I growled.
"And you can kill me for it, but I don't think your daughter will let you." He smirked as Emily placed herself in front of him before he harshly pulled her back.
"It was all me, no one else me!" Damon stated while glaring at me.
"Katarina, give us a moment." Slowly I watched her walk away while studying the other two curiously.
"I've heard about you Damon, the crazy impulsive vampire who fancy's my daughter. I knew one of you would try to stop me the, Salvatore brothers, it was just a guess on who, Stefan for Elena or you for Emily." Without another word I un muted the computer showing a screaming woman.
"The nice thing about werewolves is that they tend to travel in packs." I chuckled as the woman continued screaming. "Need a closer look?" I asked while throwing the phone towards them where Emily caught it.
"Jules," she breathed while staring at the phone.
"When you spend a thousand years trying to break a curse, you learn a thing or two. Isn't that right Emily." I chuckled while pulling her hair back forcing her to look at my face.
"First rule- always have a backup. Back up werewolf," I said while pointing to the phone.
"Back up vampire." I grinned while smiling at Damon. "And back up witch." I said while yanking Emily upwards.
"What about Greta?" She hissed.
"Merely a guard, you're more powerful." I chuckled while stroking Emilia's cheek. "And who better to break the curse then family." Without another word I pounced.
Damon POV
My head hurt like hell and I felt completely out of it.
"Damon, Damon wake up?" Someone yelled while slapping my face.
"What the hell happen?" I groaned while rolling over.
"I'm sorry he's gone, klaus went to do the ritual and he took Emily with him. I'm sorry I had to do it, if I didn't he would know I was on vervain." She pleaded with me.
"Do what?" I groaned annoyed.
"He compelled me to lure her out and Emily being there made it easy for her to come. He needed another vampire." She explained.
"Who did you call?" I asked confused.she didn't reply which annoyed me. "Katherine. Who did you call!"
Elena POV
"Where are we going?" I complained while continuing to stumble through the forest.
"This way." The woman replied while continuing in a straight line.
"You're Luka's sister aren't you? I heard about you. The Martin's were looking for you." I said while studying the girl.
"Well they were wasting their time, I wasn't lost." She stated while picking up the pace. Annoyed I continued to stumble and trip my way down the path.
"God I can't see anything!" I complained. Suddenly everything lit up around me revealing a body on the ground.
"Jenna?" I said confused. "No, Jenna, Jenna!" I yelled while kneeling down beside her while shaking her shoulder violently. "Oh my god, she's dead. He killed her, why? I did everything he asked!" I screamed at the girl.
"She's not dead, she's in transition." The girl explained while smiling at Jenna as she sat up gasping for air.
Damon POV
"He should have used me, why didn't he use me!" I growled at Katherine.
"Damon he said you were as good as dead." Katherine explained.
"As good as dead, what does that even mean?" I growled.
"What does it mean? What is this Damon?" Katherine asked while rolling up my sleeve.
Sighing I looked up at her and replied.
"It's a werewolf bite."
