I snuggled further into my duvet, I was rudely awakened by the sun peering through the window and shining on my face but I still had no intentions of getting up. After a couple of seconds I realized that Mike wasn't in bed beside me. I sat up, glancing around my room.
"Mike?" I called.
A couple of seconds later he wandered through the door, holding our son, Jake.
"Someone wanted to say hi" He smiled, sitting down next to me.
"Hey baby" I cooed. He looked up at me with his big brown eyes.
"I made breakfast, bacon, your favourite" Mike said. "Thanks babe" I smiled kissing him on the cheek.
**BUZZ BUZZ**
"Mike, is that your phone or mine?" I groaned.
"Yours" He grumbled back.
I felt around the table beside my bed for my loud phone. I had a missed call from my Dad, I would call him back later, I needed to get some sleep before-
**Cries** Before that happens.
"It's your turn" Mike, said with a slight laugh.
I groaned, lifting my tired self up out of bed and into my son's room. We'd had Jake home now for around two weeks and Mike pretty much lives here now, so he'd be here to help out. Being a parent isn't easy, that's for sure. Especially when he wakes up every two hours during the night, I don't think I've ever been so tired in my life - we both were. Neither of us had been back to school yet, Mike was supposed to go back last week, but kept putting it off.
I lifted Jake and brought him back into my room, it was 8:00am. I sat back down on the bed, he was alright when someone was carrying him. But as soon as you put him down, that's when things went wrong. As far as looks went, he took after Mike, thankfully. He had the trademark, Fuentes big brown eyes.
"Morning" Mike said, sitting up running his hand through his hair.
He kissed me on the forehead, before playing with Jake. As far as Dad's went, Mike was pretty great. I was proud of how well he really was doing, every so often I'd catch him in mid conversation with Jake, which he'd later deny.
"I'm so tired" I moaned, resting my head on Mike's shoulder.
"I know babe, me too. But it'll get easier, as soon as this one sorts out his sleeping patterns" He said, playing with Jake's little hand.
I nodded.
"Te amo" Mike smiled.
"I love you too" I grinned, kissing him softly on the lips.
