Chapter 4
~Lexi~
Gabbie and me continued to eat while laughing and sharing stories with each other.
I of course told her stories when I was back in Venus of course leaving out the Venus part she still thinks I'm from Canada even though I don't know where the hell that is.
Gabriella finished her juice box and laughed "You know I used to think friends are overrated and that I didn't need them but now that I have one I'm actually thinking why was I such an idiot?"
I laughed "Well thank you for liking our friendship!"
Gabbie smiled at me but then it slowly faded, I gave her and confused look until I heard someone clear their throat behind us.
"Riley." Gabriella said through clenched teeth.
"Nerd." The girl named Riley who Gab told me was a huge slut said glaring.
Gabriella folded her arms across her chest and glared "What the hell do you want I thought you didn't hang out with 'nerdy low life losers' as you said I was."
Riley laughed and shook her head "Wow Harris you've always been so funny!"
Gabbie rolled her eyes and mumbled "Idiot."
Riley ignored her comment and said "Whatever I'm not here for you Harris."
Gabriella rolled her eyes acting oblivious "Then who are you here for Haymonds?"
Riley flipped her hair and and pointed her manicured finger nail at me and yes we know what manicures are on Venus and frankly us Venusians laugh at the word since all the girls don't need manicures because our nails change on their own.
Just looking at her fingernail made me want to roll on the ground laughing but I held myself together and gave her and weird look, why would she want to talk to me? I don't know her and don't want to.
Gabriella rolled her eyes "And why would you want my friend?"
Riley placed her hands on her hips and shrugged "If she comes with me she'll find out."
I looked at Gabbie and mouthed 'What do I do?' Gabbie shrugged at me and mouthed back 'Your call.'
I sighed and stood up "Alright, let's go."
Riley smirked and pulled my arm outside the lunch room.
Something tells me this will be a long conversation.
~Noah~
I watched as Riley approached Lexi and Gab's table and at this point I wanted super hearing so I could hear what was going on.
As I kept staring I felt a hand slap my arm hard. I whipped my head around to face a laughing Jacob and glared while rubbing my arm "What the hell man!?"
Jacob kept laughing and finally when he stopped he gave me a smirk "Dude your whipped!"
I growled at him "Am not."
Harry Kennedy, one of my buddies rolled his eyes "Sure that's why you were staring at the new girl."
I glared at him "It was observing."
Harry and Jacob both broke out into laughter as my other friend Finn Anderson shook his head in amusement.
"Man, you are so whipped!" Harry yelled.
I rolled my eyes as Jacob began to speak "He's been whipped since the day he met her at that college party! He even brought and paid for her-"
Before Jake could even finish that sentence I slapped the back of his head hard.
He nearly fell off the bench and glared at me "Holy shit! What the hell was that for!?"
I smirked "For being a jerk."
Harry and Finn gave us curious looks but never asked what i did for Lexi which I was grateful for.
If people found out what I did they would think I was going soft and I did not need that for my reputation's sake.
~Lexi~
I quickly followed after Riley until she stopped me. I gave her a confused look and asked "So what did you want?"
Riley rolled her eyes and scoffed "Oh stop playing innocent!"
I once again gave a confused look and felt my nails shift into the confusion colour.
Riley rolled her eyes "Stop flirting with Noah!"
My eyes widened realizing what she was talking about "I don't have any intention of being with Noah." I told her.
She just rolled her eyes again "Cut the bullshit, listen up new girl I know what you did so just stop pretending!"
"I have no idea what you’re talking about?!" I yelled.
"Don't yell at me!" She screamed "I know you slept with Noah!" She screamed right after.
My eyes widened "What?" I asked completely confused where the hell did she get this odd idea from?
"I saw you two go into the janitor's closet it's not that hard to put two and two together!" She yelled.
"What? I never-" I was cut off by her scoffing "Bullshit new girl! I know what I saw and I want this little thing between you two to end okay! I saw you both go into the janitor's closet and i heard him tell you to say you enjoy it! I don't know about you but he always tells me to say that when i'm with him! He doesn't need another bed buddy he has me for that and soon enough I'll be his girlfriend!" She yelled.
After she said that I finally understood, she was only sleeping with Noah for the hopes that maybe he'll love her and change and ask her to be his girlfriend.
I didn't respond with anything which got her frustrated "Will you just stop sleeping with him!?" She screamed.
I looked at her and sighed, I give up on trying to convince her that I didn't sleep with Noah she obviously isn't going to listen to me but I'm not even planning on being with Noah anyways so I shook my head "Alright I'll stop, you caught us in that act and now that it's over and done with it has to stop."
Riley seemed surprised at first but kept the glare on her face "Good, I'm going back inside now."
I nodded and followed behind her as we both made our ways back inside.
Once I reached Gab she pulled me down next to her and yelled "What did the wicked witch want?"
I gave a lie and said "Just to welcome me to Bridge-way high."
Gab nodded but glared in Riley's direction.
I had to lie again, there was no way I was going to tell Gabbie what really happened because then she would start questioning me.
I know I'm just digging a bigger hole for myself and that the truth will come out soon but is it so bad if I keep it to myself for now?
~After school, Noah~
I was waiting by the side of the school hoping to see Lexi walk out so that I could talk to her, chances are if Gab told her about me she won't be wanting to talk to me or she might still be mad because of what happened in the janitor's closet, what I'm a guy this kind of stuff happens.
I kept my eyes on the door just waiting to see someone with naturally fake looking red coloured hair, you know I still can't believe it's natural it really does look like it was dyed.
As I kept looking I spotted a girl with blonde hair and green eyes walking straight towards me, I couldn't tell who it was at first since her huge blue bag was blocking her face but once she moved it I could see her, and trust me I wish I couldn't.
It was Riley, I groaned. Seriously she doesn't take no for an answer! Everybody calls her the biggest slut at this school because she's slept with all the guys except for freshmen's. It's like what I do but she does it with the guys but the only reason she does is to get me to notice that were just like each other and that we should be together because we're so alike, but were not alike.
She's just doing it to get me to ask her to be my girlfriend and try to make me jealous. I know better than to get caught up with Riley Haymonds.
When she reached me she gave me a sly smirk and slipped her arm around my shoulder "Hey baby!" She said leaning in to kiss me.
I brushed her arm off and stepped back before her lips could even touch mine and she frowned at me. I sighed "Riley, how many times do I have to tell you!? I am not interested in a relationship I like being a player! It's what I do!" I snapped at her.
Her green eyes darkened a bit after I said that and she glared "If you weren't interested in me than how do you remember my name huh? Why do so easily forget others but remember mine?"
I rolled my eyes "Holy crap Riley we've gone to school together for 7 years what am I supposed to do!? Call you nothing!?" I yelled.
Riley huffed and stormed off after I said that but turned back around and came rushing back slapping me in the face. After she slapped me she went for another slap but I grabbed her hand and held it.
She growled and me and yelled "Let me go!"
I rolled my eyes and pushed her back. She stumbled a bit but I know my push wasn't strong enough to make her fall down.
She glared at me and yelled "You’re a freaking jerk! And that slap was for sleeping with that new girl Linda!" She yelled before storming off.
I yelled back "It's Lexi!"
She turned around and gave me a death glare and I swear I saw her almost stick up the middle finger, almost.
I chuckled after she left and once she did I spotted Lexi. I saw Lexi slip into Gabriella's car and watched as the car started.
I was too late to talk to her and it was all Riley's fault.
As the car drove away an idea came to mind.
I knew what hotel Lexi is staying at and I know her hotel room number.
Interesting...
~Lexi~
I smiled at Gabriella gratefully "Thanks again Gabbie for giving me a ride."
Gab smiled at me and shrugged "Hey it's no biggy besides we are heading to my house to do homework. And then after I can drop you home."
My smile turned into a frown and sighed I had to once again lie "Oh no it's okay I'll walk home."
Gab gave me a look "Lexi, it's fine besides it will be late and don't want you to have to walk."
I shook my head "No really I'll walk, I love walking it gives me time to explore New York I haven't seen much."
Gab gave me a look but agreed "Alright fine but if something happens to you I am blaming myself."
I laughed "No need to blame yourself because I'll be fine."
Gab nodded as she pulled up to a very small house. "Where are we?" I asked very confused.
She laughed and said "This is my house silly!"
My eyes widened, this was her house? I never knew houses could be so small, well I guess since I am a princess I would be used to a big house considering my home is not a house but a palace.
As we walked inside I started to look around, wow it may be small but it sure looks and feels like home. It actually looked bigger in the inside.
Gab smiled at me and shrugged "It's no mansion but it's better than nothing." I nodded at her as she began to pull me up to her room.
When she opened the door I was shocked, her room wasn't as big as mine yet it looked way better. She added her own style into her room and in mine it was workers choice and it had to be classy and vintage.
I noticed all the drawings around the room and picked one up. It was a picture of a little girl on a swing. I smiled it was really good.
I looked at Gabbie and showed her the drawing "So you draw?"
She pulled the picture from me and shoved it in her desk. She scratched the back on her neck and sighed "A little but I'm not very good."
I laughed and shook my head "Gab it was beautiful, seriously half the people I know would dream to be able to draw like you."
She gave me a half smile and opened her book "So should we start with math?"
I nodded, I didn't know why she changed the subject just like that but I wanted to know why.
~Noah~
I sighed tossing my bag onto the couch and walking into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water.
When I entered the kitchen I caught my dad reading the newspaper and quickly tried to turn back around when he called out "Stop."
I sighed and walked back inside the kitchen. He was looking at me and I tried to shrug it off while getting the bottle out of the fridge.
I closed the fridge door I took a big gulp out of my water before starting to walk back out when my dad stopped me again "I said to wait." He said in a stern voice.
I rolled my eyes and turned back around "What is it Pop? Here to tell me about the way I treat women isn't right? If you are save it because honestly I don't care this is who I am and you'll just have to deal with it!"
My dad glared at me and put down the paper on the table so that he could stand up.
He walked right over to me and he looked very intimidating considering he was 6.4 and I was 5.6, but I didn't let it bother me instead I just stood there folding my arms and waiting for him to speak because I knew he wanted to.
He kept his hard glare on me and spoke "That wasn't what I was going to say Noah."
"Than what were you going to say?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
He pointed at my bottle of water and said "You should go for and run it would be good for you."
I rolled my eyes "Actually I was planning on going for one right now and I bet the only reason you want me to go is so you don't have to deal with another girl tonight." I said before storming out of the kitchen, grabbing my sneakers and walking out of the house on my dad before he could respond to what I said.
I walked until I was a few houses down from mine before slipping on my sneakers and starting my run.
To Lexi's hotel here I come.
