"Why aren't you coming with us, Hiccup?" Rapunzel asked.
"Sorry, Rapunzel, but I have to keep an eye on Toothless..." Hiccup sighed. "He can be quite a handful sometimes..."
"Um, what's a Toothless?" She asked.
"Toothless, my dear Rapunzel, is a not so toothless dragon." Flynn said, ignoring the slight glare Jack sent at him at the word 'dear'. "It also happens to be Hiccup's pet dragon, which I believe he said he misplaced somehow."
"I did not misplace him." Hiccup groaned. "I know where he is!"
"Really? Can I meet him?" Rapunzel asked, excited.
Flynn and Hic looked at her in shock. "You..wanna meet Toothless?" Flynn asked finally. "This is a dragon we're talking about here, blondie, not some small lizard." He glanced at Pascal.
"Pascal is a chameleon." She said. "And yes, I do want to meet Toothless! It's a dragon we're talking about here! I've always wanted to see what one looked like!" She grinned.
Flynn still looked a tad shocked, Merida looked proud. "Don't underestimate girls, Rider." She said. "We're a lot braver than ye sometimes."
"So, are we gonna look for Toothless then?" Jack asked.
Hiccup looked up. "I think he found us." He said just as the Night Fury landed next to Flynn. "Whoa!" Flynn yelled, scrambling aside. "Where did he come from?!" He stared at it in shock.
Rapunzel looked stunned for a moment. "Oh, what a beauty." She said. "He's gorgeous!" She grinned, walking over. Toothless tensed up, revealing his teeth. Rapunzel didn't seem the least bit fazed. "Easy, boy. Easy." She said gently. "It's alright, I'm not gonna hurt you." Toothless relaxed and she went to it, petting its head.
"Wow." Flynn whistled. "Ok, redhead, I'll admit it, girls are braver than guys sometimes." Merida grinned at his words. Even Hiccup looked impressed. Rapunzel looked like she'd been around dragons her whole life, the way she handled Toothless. She was a natural.
She looked up briefly, catching Jack's gaze. She smiled at him, and he smiled back. Toothless gave a low growl, and she turned back to him.
Flynn laughed at Jack. "Looks like you've got competition, Frost." He said.
