Aru's Pov:

He dragged me inside the temple and it was empty as it was almost midnight.

"No please.. let's talk" I said being afraid of that thing to happen of which I thought would happen while falling on my knees and pleaded him but he wasn't in a position to listen to me. His face was raging in anger, nerves popping out

"Aryan has no room to talk with women like you, he doesn't like betrayals. Especially when it comes to family!" he sneered, lowering himself onto one knee and yanking my hair forcefully, wrenching my head upward and I hissed in pain

"Why is there so much hatred in your heart for me since the starting? Just because I come from a middle class or because you as a human are a monster?" I cried out, my gaze locked with his, aching with pure anger, sadness & terror

"Miss Sharma, you're mistaken. Surprise Surprise! Aryan Adani Chauhan lacks a heart & the capacity to harbor hatred for someone as characterless as you. It would be even shameful to even hold anything for you, let alone be hate" his face remained cold and unforgiving. He let go off his hold and his face softens a bit but gets back to its cold self in no time.. no one can actually read him

He walked towards the Durga Maa idol and picks up the thread that was put on Durga Maa & sindoor along with it. Please.. how do I tell him? Because if I do, what are the chances that he won't tell my family just like how he did now! Please don't do this..

He takes long strands towards me, coming closer, his eyes burning with rage as I desperately plead with him through mine. Without a word, he kneels before me, swiftly fastening the 'mangalsutra' around my neck, igniting a torrent of tears that I cannot restrain

"I heard it was your dream to get married to your dream guy, wasn't it? Well, consider it fulfilled. I promise to ensure this day is etched into your memory forever" he whispered mockingly into my ear as he applied the sindoor to my forehead, prompting me to shut my eyes tightly. If only the young, hopeful Aradhya could have foreseen that her wedding day would unfold like this, with the one person she despises more than anyone else in the world

"Congratulations, Mrs. Aradhya Aryan Adani Chauhan! Welcome to your personal hell!" he sneers, his mocking tone slicing through the air. With swollen eyes, I slowly meet his gaze as he stares back at me with a venomous glare. He stands up and watch me being miserable like that.

I rose slowly, my entire body enveloped in numbness and nausea. It seemed as though I could vomit or collapse at any moment. Unable to bear it any longer, darkness began to engulf me. Just as I was on the verge of collapse, he caught hold of my bare waist, preventing my fall. Squinting through the haze, I observed his emotionless visage. How could anyone possess such a heartless demeanor?

Carrying me in his arms, he strode towards the car as darkness enveloped me entirely.

*
Startled awake by a jarring thud against the steering wheel by him, I gasped aloud, struggling to orient myself. Glancing around, I realized we were parked at the entrance of Adani's mansion. Memories of the recent bitter encounter flooded my mind, casting a shadow of sadness over my features. The ache of tears lingered in my eyes, a testament to the pain I had endured.

"Given your proficiency in acting, allow me to outline today's script for you. Make it appear as though we did it out of love, or face the consequences, Mrs. Aryan. And yes make sure to hide that fucking crybaby face of yours" he sneered emphasising the name, his gaze filled with disdain. It took me a while to realise I'm married now. And there's no way that no one could identify that I've haven't cried now even though I try to mask it out because I've cried for hours and I'm sure I'm looking a swollen tomato.

The day I was scared of... finally happened. I mentally laughed at myself

He got out of the car and I numbly sat there looking at him. What were his intentions while marrying me? And why did he marry me? What would I answer inside? Think.. think.. think.. he signed me to get out and I did.

Aryan intertwined his fingers with mine as we stealthily entered the house. His fingers so soft and hold so rough. The eerie calm suggested that everyone was either preoccupied or on the verge of sleep. As I pondered the situation, Naina's startled gaze met ours in the living room, causing her to fumble and drop the sweet boxes she was carrying. In a panic, she summoned the entire family to descend downstairs, shattering the tranquility with an ominous urgency

With trembling hands, I glanced at Aryan, who squeezed my hand in a supposed gesture of reassurance. His gaze, although fixed elsewhere, appeared marginally softer. I followed his line of sight to his mother descending the staircase. As the rest of the family hastily joined her, still clad in their ceremonial attire, Naina's panicked gesture singled us out. The air filled with gasps and bewildered expressions as all eyes turned towards us, brimming with suspicion..

"What is this you both?" Disha speaks up in disbelief and we both decided to stay quiet

"Can someone elaborate this to us?" His mom continues to question

"Am I believing my eyes? My son, Aryan Adani Chauhan has married a girl and bought her home?!" His dad was quite surprised but he didn't seem angry or frustrated like other family members. How is it possible? There's no way that he's happy with this. The most hurt looked was Disha

"I love her.. and I don't want to spend.. the rest of the life with anyone else.." Aryan Adani Chauhan actually shuddered? Wow. My jaw dropped and I mentally laughed hearing his words. And he calls me an actor. The irony.

"But couldn't you have said a single word to us before taking such step, Aryan? Am I not even worthy of that?" Disha's voice broke as tears streamed down her face. A fleeting glimpse of pain flickered across Aryan's expression, swiftly masked by a veneer of cold detachment

"Even after what she did, you wanted to marry her Aryan? We wanted to find a girl for you that would have the same moral values and implement them your future generations. And didn't you oppose this marriage so much? What happened all of a sudden Aryan?!" His mom continues and I felt terribly guilty and sorry

"Love" he whispers slowly with a stern voice.

Last time when I heard him my jaw just dropped but this time it fell on the ground. I'm impressed

"I'm sorry Ma'm—" I was told to stop by his mom with her hand gesture

"I don't want to talk to someone like you Aradhya. I'm talking to my son." Her voice came out serious and it hurt me a little but I know her concern regarding her son and this entire situation

After a moment of silence, Grandma stepped forward, her touch gentle as she bestowed her blessings upon us, tenderly placing her hand on our heads. As we leaned down to receive her blessings, our eyes met in a moment of connection. Afterwards, she embraced us both warmly, a soft smile lighting up her face

Aryan's dad followed the same, graciously welcoming us into their embrace. However, I noticed his mother subtly avoiding us

"Congratulations!" His dad greets us softly. What's wrong with him? Didn't I just heard that he wants to break this marriage?

"Thank you sir" I reply him back while Aryan had his usual stoic face. I did not just get married to this man who's even arrogant towards his dad

"No! From now on, you can only call me Papa! And if Aryan ever troubles you, remember, I've always got your back! Got it?" he said, patting my head gently while o saw him in pure confusion

"I believe in you since the day I've first saw you Aradhya. And I believe in my son's choice too! He's not someone that would marry anyone just like that even after all this. You must've truly stolen his heart and I believe in you both. I don't know what has happened and why but remember I'm here if you want to share anything. Falguni was upset due to which we had to take such decision of breaking this marriage but I've only viewed you as my daughter-in-law since day 1 and even if Aryan would've married anyone I maybe would've searched the qualities of you in her unfortunately as we've completely seen you as the perfect daughter-in-law to this family. Don't worry about your father's job. I'm sorry from Prakash's(Aryan's uncle, Arjun's dad, Shikhar's brother) side but I need to be honest, we were all hurt. But alas, I'm happy that my son took the right decision. And I hope you both don't break our trust in coming future" A tear escaped my eye, unable to contain the surge of emotions. His words pierced through my heart, and I found solace in his embrace, longing for the fatherly warmth I craved. Though it wasn't from my own dad right now, I felt grateful to have someone by my side, "I'm sorry for everything Papa..." I whispered, seeking comfort in the bond we shared..

I walked towards Aryan's mother while she turned her head away from me

"I'm sorry everyone for what has happened. It isn't how it supposed to be. I won't disagree that it's not me in the picture but I want you all to believe me just once that it isn't what you're thinking. Please don't bring my family and their morals into this. My parents have raised me in the most loving way possible and there's no fault of them. They're already going through a lot because of me and I don't want my father to lose job because of me again. My entire family is living on his income. His job is so dear to him. I have a sister who needs to get married too. Please believe me for once and give me a chance to prove myself that I'm not what you're all thinking of. I understand that anyone in your place would think the same but please don't bring my family into this. This is my humble request ma'm" I say in a low pace trying not to sob again while his mom gave me a soft glance for a minute and then turned her face away

Disha approached us with a gentle smile, though her eyes betrayed a sense of pain. With tears welling up, she tenderly cupped Aryan's face in her hand. "What have you changed my Aryan into Aradhya? This is not the Aryan I know haha.. You've grown into an adult, cupcake... Congratulations to both my babies. I'm believing in your Aradhya. I'm believing in Aryan that he has chosen the right girl for both of you and also for the family and for the coming generations. God bless you both. And don't worry about mom, she just needs some time" she whispered, her words tinged with sadness and love

"I'm sorry Disha.." I whisper in her embrace as I know how much Aryan means to her that she wished she could watch his brother get married and she comforts me by patting my hair.

Why does everyone in his family seem so kind and gentle except for him?

Amidst the congratulatory chatter from Arjun and his parents, Arjun's dad was serious I remember when he spoke with my dad, hearing that one can say he seemed really off while his mom was completely opposite and more on the fun side, I couldn't help but notice the sound of little giggles echoing across the room. I glanced around to spot the little munchkin toddling towards us, barely managing to hold onto my lehenga. With a chuckle, I scooped him up, planting a playful kiss on his cheek as he reciprocated with equal enthusiasm

"I know it's a bit premature, but let's get a move on. I'd like to meet my great-grandchildren before I kick the bucket!" Grandma teased, causing me to blush crimson, and upon closer inspection, Aryan seemed to share my embarrassment. If only Grandma knew the full backstory behind our relationship, I thought, stifling a mental laugh.

"Just a reminder, Aryan, we made a commitment to Aradhya's parents before that she wouldn't conceive until she finishes her education and until she is ready for parenthood" his mother emphasizes sternly. It's clear that everyone had faith in the longevity of our marriage

"Don't fret, Mom! Parenthood isn't exactly at the top of our agenda, is it Aradhya?" Aryan quips with a smirk, while I shoot him a wide-eyed look of disbelief and everyone shared a healthy laughter

"Wait here for a while until your room gets decorated by then Aru will do the wedding rituals" Disha says to Aryan but he resisted her request saying "It's not necessary Disha"

"It's the least you could do for your sister Aryan!" but Disha didn't held back

*
Rituals were finally over. Disha handed me a couple of outfits to choose from, all sarees, and being clueless about draping one, I stuck to my trusty lehenga. Directed to a particular room, I stepped in to find it adorned with stunning red and white roses. Exhausted from the day's events, I simply plopped down in the center of the huge bed, contemplating my life decisions instead of exploring the beautifully decorated huge room. I took a very much needed deep breathe and closed my eyes for a while.

How did I actually end up here.. why did I end up here.. how am I going to survive with the monster in a home together? Will mom & dad talk to me again? Are they truly thinking that their daughter has betrayed them? I already miss them. How did his family accept me? Lot of disturbing thoughts were building up anxiety in my stomach

The sound of footsteps broke the silence, snapping me back to reality. I glanced up to find Mister Monster approaching, his demeanor weary but his expression unyielding. It suddenly dawned on me that it was our wedding night.

"You don't want your father to lose his job right?" He asks with a smirk while I just nod my head

"Then be a good girl and do what as I say! And remember you can only call me 'SIR' outside my family's presence and inside these 4 walls. Now quickly undress yourself so that it'll be easier for me to fuck you hard instead of wasting my time to undress you. I'll show you who can do it better. Your fuckboy's or your fake husband" I frowned and gulped hard at him in disbelief while sweat beads were drooping from my forehead to neck. Is he out of his freaking mind?
