Mirana stands on the large field with Lucy and Nyla, preparing to play softball against the North Hollywood Division in an attempt to mend the bridges burned by Doug Stanton.
"Maybe I take down a huge kingpin," Lucy says as Mirana takes a large mouthful from the flask.
"Your mom will be tan orgullosa," Mirana says, handing the flask to Nyla.
A moment of silence falls over the three women before they begin howling with laughter. Mirana clutches her stomach as she laughs, hunching over from the force of her laughter.
"Cabrera, you're up!" Grey shouts.
"Oh mierda," Mirana giggles.
Mirana takes a large swig from the flask she had been sharing with Nyla and Lucy before stepping up to pitch. She squints her eyes before winding her arm back and throwing the ball.
"This is your relief pitcher?" Stanton jeers as Tim tosses the ball back to Mirana. "My grandma's not busy. She can pitch better than that-"
Mirana winds her arm back and pitches the ball, nailing Stanton right between the legs. The man groans, dropping to his knees in pain as members of his team hurry over to him.
"Oh! Right in the balls," Lawrence says, pressing his fist to his mouth.
"Oh shit!" Jackon laughs loudly.
"What the hell are you doing?" One of the female officers gets up in Mirana's face.
"I thought he was stealing second," Mirana shrugs. "Have you got a problem?"
As four male officers step up behind the female officer who is facing off with Mirana, Tim, Lawrence, Nolan and Jackson all move to stand behind Mirana. They're all glaring at each other, daring the other to make a move as Mirana and the female officer go toe to toe.
"Woah!" Sergeant Grey calls, gently pushing Mirana back.
Loud, howling laughter fills the air as Lucy and Nyla stumble over to where the two divisions are facing off. Nyla clutches her stomach, howling with laughter as Lucy clutches onto her for support.
"Are you drunk?" Grey asks Mirana.
"Si," Mirana nods, holding up her finger and thumb.
"So she's trashy?" The officer jeers causing some laughter to rise from the officers behind her.
"That's how it is?" Mirana scoffs, yanking her glove off before tossing it on the ground causing Lawrence and Tim to grab onto her to keep her in place.
"Yeah, that's how it is," The officer sneers.
"Pruebame perra," Mirana sneers back.
"Enough!" Sergeant Grey says.
"Your officer is drunk and disorderly in public," The female officer says to Grey. "Aren't you going to deal with it?"
"You got all up in her face," Tim says and the woman scoffs.
"Of course, her fiance swoops in to save the day,"
"I don't need alguien saving the day," Mirana snaps. "I have some new takedown techniques I've been dying to try"
Sergeant Grey sighs, caught between frustration and amusement, "Can we settle this without any takedowns, please?"
Tim keeps a firm grip on Mirana, shooting her a warning look. "Mirana, let's not escalate things further."
Nolan and Jackson exchange glances, sensing the tension in the air, while Lucy and Nyla continue to find the entire situation utterly entertaining.
The female officer smirks, "New takedown techniques? Sounds like someone's compensating for lack of skill in baseball."
Mirana's eyes narrow. "You really want to test my skills? Voy a rasgar that janky ass hairpiece out of your head"
Sergeant Grey steps forward, still attempting to defuse the situation. "Let's save the takedowns for the bad guys, alright?"
Tim adds, "And maybe we can all agree that the flask needs to be put away for the rest of the game."
"No, I'm calling it," The Hollywood Division Sergeant says. "This was an attempt to mend the bridge between our divisions but clearly it didn't work"
"Maybe you should take out the shitty cops first," Mirana says, shooting a glare at Stanton who is standing behind the Sergeant.
"I appealed and was allowed to return to duty," Stanton says.
"I know you're not talking to me," Mirana scoffs. "I know you don't have the nerve to speak to me. I have got no problem romperte la nariz"
"Oh, the pretty little boot stepped out of her fiance's shadow," Staton teases, malice lining his tone. "Not far enough though, you're still inferior to him. Sleeping your way to the top is a solid tactic though"
"Watch it!" Tim snaps, glaring at Stanton.
"What did you just say?" Nyla asks, stepping forward.
Mirana, though still held back by Tim and Lawrence, shoots daggers at Stanton. "Repeat that, I dare you, pendejo"
Sergeant Grey interjects, his patience wearing thin, "Enough! Stanton, your personal opinions are not welcome here. Mirana, we're not here to settle personal scores."
Mirana grumbles but relents, taking a step back, still shooting daggers at Stanton.
Stanton, sensing the rising tension, smirks, "Just saying what everyone's thinking. Mid-Wilshire deserves better than a pretty face trying to play cop."
"Watch your mouth," Tim says, his jaw clenched as he glares at Stanton.
Tim's voice is firm, cutting through the tension like a knife. Stanton's smirk falters for a moment as he meets Tim and Lawrence's intense glares.
"You lot can't take a joke," Stanton says.
"We're used to jokes being funny," Lucy snaps at the man. "Not them being degrading to a female officer"
Tim's jaw tightens, his frustration evident. "There's a line between a joke and disrespect. You crossed it a long time ago"
"Okay, you and your guys need to go," Grey says to the Sergeant. "I'm sorry we couldn't work this out"
The Mid-Wilshire group watch as the Hollywood Division retreats. Stanton turns to look back at them and they all raise their middle fingers at him, stony glares on their faces. When Stanton turns away, they all burst into laughter.
Mirana leans against Tim for support as she laughs, clutching her stomach. Nyla and Lucy are clutching each other for support as they laugh. Sergeant Grey is trying to suppress his chuckles but is failing as he looks at his fellow officers in fits of laughter.
"His face!" Lucy wheezes and everyone begins to laugh again.
"How much did you three drink?" Jackson asks.
"Not enough," Mirana says, taking a swig from the flask as they all sit down on the field.
Mirana leans against Tim, sitting between his legs, as they pass around a bottle of tequila Lucy had brought to the game. The group are various levels of drunk and being supervised by a sober Angela, Wesley and Grey.
Mirana is hiccuping as she speaks which sends Lucy and Nyla into fits of laughter every time. Tim has a dopey grin on his face that he can't wipe off his face and Lawrence is trying to help Tim explain football to Mirana, Jackson is asleep in the grass and Nolan is happily chatting to Doctor Sawyer.
"Hey, you standing up to Stanton today was hot," Tim murmurs and Mirana grins at him.
"Wesley and Angela have Isaac overnight right?" Mirana murmurs and Tim nods. "Quieres volver a casa?"
"Oh hell yes," Tim scrambles to his feet before pulling Mirana to her feet. "We're off, see you all tomorrow"
The group watches as Mirana and Tim walk away, whispering to each other. Tim whispers in Mirana's ear and she throws her head back as she laughs.
"They're like horny teenagers," Lucy slurs and Nyla laughs.
"Can you blame either of them?" Nyla asks.
"Not really," Lawrence says. "They're both genetically blessed"
"Did Bradford just-?" Grey trails off as Lucy begins to howl with laughter.
"He pinched her ass!"
