BRADY'S POV:

"when you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath, but you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight"

As Amy stood in the doorway, facing me, my heart was pounding so hard I thought it might burst out of my chest. Seeing her there, made me realize just how much I'd missed her. I wanted to reach out, to wrap her in a hug and never let her go, but I knew I had to be careful. I knew I had to make things right even though the past few weeks haven't been the best.

FLASHBACK:

I sat in my room, the weight of recent events bearing down on me like a ton of bricks. The media frenzy surrounding Amy was relentless, and I couldn't shake off the guilt of not being there for her when she needed me most. But I needed time to process everything that had happened that night.

Connor barged in, concern etched on his face. "Hey dude, mind if I join you?" he asked, his tone gentle.

I shrugged, avoiding Connor's gaze. "Sure, whatever," I muttered, feeling defeated.

Connor took a seat beside me, "You seem kinda down, bro. Wanna talk about it?" he offered, his voice full of concern.

I ran a hand through my hair, frustration and regret swirling inside me. "It's Amy, man. I screwed up big time, and now everything's a mess," I confessed, my voice heavy with guilt.

"Brady, I get it, man. Everything that happened sounds rough," Connor said, his tone sympathetic. "But you and Amy have been through a lot together. You can't let one mistake ruin everything you've built."

I nodded slowly, a glimmer of hope igniting inside me. "Yeah, you're right," I admitted, determination flickering in my voice. "I can't give up on her that easily."

Connor grinned, giving me a playful punch on the shoulder. "That's the spirit, bro. We'll figure this out together but I think you should see her first and talk to her."

"Yeah, you're probably right," I replied. The thought of facing Amy again filled me with a mix of fear and longing. But deep down, I knew that I needed to confront her and clear the air between us.

Connor nodded, his expression filled with encouragement. "Just be honest with her, Brady. Tell her how you feel and listen to what she has to say. Communication is key," he advised, his voice earnest.

I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what was to come. "Thanks, Connor. I'll talk to her and see where things go," I said with determination.

"Good luck, bro. I'm rooting for you," Connor said, giving me a supportive pat on the back before heading out of the room.

FLASHBACK ENDS

"Hey, Amy," I managed to say, trying to keep my voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions inside me.

"I... I didn't expect to see you here." Her response was soft, tinged with uncertainty and a hint of embarrassment as she glanced down at herself. "Ugh, I look a mess."

Despite her self-consciousness, I couldn't help but chuckle softly under my breath. To me, Amy looked just as beautiful as ever.

Even though she looked like she hadn't left her bed in days, her tousled hair and wrinkled clothes didn't diminish her beauty in my eyes. There was something about her vulnerability that drew me in, like a magnet pulling me closer.

And as I watched her, a surge of protectiveness washed over me, mingling with the admiration and affection that had been brewing inside me for so long. Despite everything she was going through, Amy was still the most beautiful person I had ever known, inside and out. And I knew, without a doubt, that I would do anything to see her smile again.

"Don't worry, you look good," I replied, my voice softening as I met her gaze and saw her blush a little as she looked away trying to hide it. "I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I realized I need to talk to you. Can we... can we go somewhere private?"

Her silent nod was like a lifeline, and together we stepped outside onto the porch. The cool breeze brushed against my skin.

Sitting in the chairs on the porch, the silence between us felt heavy, suffocating. I knew I had to break it, to say what I'd been rehearsing in my mind over and over again.

"I just want to say I'm sorry, Amy," I started, my voice filled with sincerity. "I shouldn't have left you like that, especially when you were in trouble. I should've stayed and made sure you were okay."

"It's okay, Brady," she replied softly. "I know you were upset, and I don't blame you for needing some space."

I nodded, feeling a wave of relief washing over me as a smile spread across my face. "Thanks, Ames. That means a lot to me. But I also wanted to say... I miss you. I miss us."

My heart raced as I confessed my feelings to Amy. I'd been missing her more than I could admit. But I knew we couldn't just sweep everything under the rug and go back to how things were before. We needed to address our issues if we ever wanted to move forward.

"I miss you too, Brady," Amy admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "But we can't ignore what happened. We need to talk about it and figure out how to make things right."

"I know, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to fix things. I just want us to be okay again."

Amy took a deep breath, her resolve strengthening as she looked into my eyes. "Thank you for understanding, Brady. But there's something I need to tell you."

As Amy spoke, my expression softened, my eyes filled with concern and understanding. "Hey, Ames, what happened?" I asked gently, my voice laced with worry.

"Brady, that night... Hector got me drunk," Amy began, her voice trembling with emotion. "No matter what I did, he kept giving me more drinks, and I... I wasn't in control anymore."

My eyes widened in shock and anger as I listened to Amy's words. "He knew what he was doing," I said through gritted teeth, my fists clenching at my sides.

Amy nodded, tears streaming down her cheeks. "And then... he... he took advantage of me in that state," she whispered, unable to meet my gaze.

My heart shattered at the admission, my stomach churning with a mixture of rage and sorrow. "Amy, I'm so sorry," I said, my voice choked with emotion. "I should have been there for you, I should have protected you."

Amy shook her head, reaching out to gently touch my arm. "It's not your fault, Brady," she said softly. "I just... I didn't know what to do, and I was so scared."

As Amy's words hung heavy in the air, fury surged through me like a raging fire. My jaw clenched, my hands curled into tight fists at my sides, the urge to lash out nearly overwhelming.

"That son of a..." I growled, my voice thick with rage. "I swear, Amy, I'm gonna—"

"Brady, wait!" Amy's voice cut through my anger, her hand grasping my arm, stopping me in my tracks. "Please, just listen to me."

Forcing myself to take a deep breath, I struggled to rein in my emotions, my gaze softening as I looked into Amy's tear-filled eyes.

"I'm sorry, Ames," I murmured, regret seeping into my voice. "I shouldn't have reacted like that. It's just... I cant stand the thought of anyone hurting you."

Amy nodded, her own pain evident in her expression. "I know, Brady. And I appreciate you wanting to protect me," she said softly. "But violence isn't the answer. We need to handle this situation carefully."

My resolve wavered, but I knew she was right. "Okay, but if that asshole dares to come at you again or even glances in your direction, so help me, I will punch him," I declared, my voice tinged with raw intensity.

Amy's gratitude washed over me, but I understood the need for caution.

"Brady, I know you're angry, and I appreciate your support more than you'll ever know," she replied, her voice steady despite the turmoil. "But hitting him will only make things worse. We need to handle this with a clear head."

I nodded, my expression softening as I looked at her. "You're right, Amy. I'm sorry," I admitted, regret heavy in my tone. "I just hate seeing you hurt."

"I know, Brady. And I hate that this happened too," Amy confessed, her voice trembling with emotion. "But we'll get through this together, okay? We'll find a way to make things right."

My gaze softened further as I reached out to gently cup her cheek. "Okay," I whispered, determination coursing through me. "Together."

"I saw everything that went down in the media by the way," looking away from her, I confessed, feeling a weight of guilt settle on my shoulders. "I should've been there for you, but I just needed time to process everything."

Amy reached out to touch my arm, her eyes filled with pity and regret. "Its okay Brady, I still care about you. I want to work things out between us. I know it's going to take time, but I'm willing to try."

I looked up at her, my expression a mixture of surprise and hope. "Really?" I asked, my voice barely audible. "Even after everything that happened?"

She nodded, her fingers squeezing my arm gently. "Yes, Brady. I'm sorry for what happened, but I want us to be together."

I reached out, taking her hand in mine, feeling a warmth spread between us. "Me too, Amy," I replied, my voice filled with determination. "We'll figure it out, together. I promise."

As we talked, I couldn't help but notice how pretty Amy looked in the sunset. The light made her face glow all soft, and her eyes, usually so strong, looked kinda sad but also really captivating. She had this vibe, like she was from another world or something.

Her hair was like a waterfall, catching the light and shining like magic. And her cheeks had this cute pink blush that made her look even more beautiful. When she talked, her lips looked so delicate and perfect, and her eyes had this spark that made me feel all warm inside.

Before I even realized what I was doing, I found myself leaning closer to her, unable to resist the magnetic pull she had on me. In that moment, I grabbed her by the waist, as I brushed my lips against hers, I couldn't help but marvel at her beauty, so fragile yet so captivating. Amy's response was immediate, her arms wrapping around my neck as she eagerly returned the kiss. It was as if the world around us faded away, leaving only the two of us suspended in a moment of pure connection.
