"The word is 'guardian' Alison." Chris Argent explains as he unlocks his apartment door "More than anyone, you know that's a role I haven't exactly lived up to lately."
Aria was already regretting following the hunters to their house with Stiles and Aiden, after Scott had decided to turn to Deucalion for help.
She couldn't blame the guy for asking for help in fact she was proud that he asked, but of all people he went with a psycho Alpha and left his friends.
Yeah that was a little confusing.
Of course he was upset, his mother was just taken, but so was Stiles and he wasn't trying to be besties with the Alpha leader.
The girl may be civil with the man, but it didn't change how much she distrust she have for him or how much she hated they way he treated Aiden and others.
"But she took Scott's mother and Stiles's father"
Allison comments as they walk into her dad's office. "That's not a coincidence. "
"Yeah, I'd also consider the fact that someone put your name up in large block letters on the elevator doors" Stiles remarks "That kind of felt like a warning to me."
"That isn't like a warning" Aria snorts "It literally is a warning. You're next Mr hunter" she says leaning her head on Aiden's shoulder.
"I think it might be Morell" Alison states glancing at Aria and Stiles "She knows a lot more than she lets on and she might even be trying to help us."
"Well she needs to get on that a lot faster, okay?" Stiles rolls his eyes "Seeing as that lunar eclipse is less than two freaking nights away." he groans.
Aria tensed at his words, causing Aiden to place his hand on her back, hoping to provide some type of comfort for her.
In two days, she will have no strength from her wolf's side.
At the moment that's all she had, no magic and even her flames were becoming smaller.
On the day she needed her magic and her strength the most, she was going to be practically human.
Aiden was the only person she had talked about her issues, which was why he was with them in the first place. He decided that she would stay by him until this whole thing was over, he wasn't going to let her save everyone and cause more harm to herself.
His words, not hers.
"Stiles don't give up hope" Chris states with a sympathetic expression covering his face.
"He could already be dead" Stiles whispers out, sitting down in a chair.
"I don't think so" Aria shakes her head with a frown.
"She's right" Chris says crossing his arms "There's something about Jennifer's tactics. It's like she's still positioning, still moving pieces into place."
"And you're one of them." Alison speaks up, looking towards her father.
"Then let's not wait around to see her next move." Chris suggests, opening up a map on his desk "Everything she's done has been on a telluric current."
"So Melissa and the Sheriff have to be somewhere on her one those currents, right?" Chris adds "Stiles, if we're going to find them, we need your help."
"Yeah Nerdy." Aria cheers, fist pumping the air "Go be a nerd."
"So you seriously wanna go after her?" Stiles says in disbelief "I mean what if she just takes you like the others. Huh?"
"Probably will happen" Aria states nodding her head, making Aiden poke her hip causing her to pout in response.
"No offence" Stiles states rubbing his face "But what's the different between you and them?"
"I'm carrying a .45" Chris states reloading the gun in his hand. "Maybe she can heal from a shot to the leg and a few slashes to the face but personally I'd like to see how she holds up with half her skull blown off."
"Love the confidences" Aria claps her hands with a grin "However. One problem. What happens when that doesn't work?"
Aiden shuck his head, trying to not laugh as he covers the hybrid's mouth with his hand. She had a good point, nothing ever was easy for them, but right now they needed to believe that this plan could work.
They had to hold on to as much hope as possible.
"Yeah" Chris squinted his eyes at the girl "You really are Evie's daughter" he says with a shake of his head.
Aria choke on air as the man's words "Excuse me, when were you going to mention you knew my mom."
Of all the things to tell and the hunter didn't think it was important to tell her that he knew her mother.
An hunter knew the Queen.
An argent knew her mom.
"Not important" Chris decides causing the girl to scoff "we've got one priority right now, and that is to find Melissa and your dad."
"We've got a map and every clue we need to figure this out." Chris states "The only thing we don't have is time. Which is why I need all of you." He stresses glancing between the four kids in front of him.
Stiles sighs "Where do we start?"
"The place where the sacrifices have been committed have usually been different from where the bodies have been found." Chris explains pointing to the map "I think the placement has to do with the strength of the current."
"So there's the school, the animal clinic, the bank"
"Wait" Stiles interrupts "She wouldn't use the same place twice, would she?" he asks looking up to Chris.
"Only if she didn't succeed the first time." The hunter replies, pointing to the animal clinic again."
"Scott's boss" Aria mumbles in realisation.
"Deaton"
"It was her only failure" Chris stresses "That could mean something."
"That's just one place so far" Stiles points out "We're gonna need a lot more help."
Aria frowned.
She couldn't help.
Since she had gotten to Beckon Hills, she had been hidden from a lot of things because the pack didn't trust her. Then because the pack didn't want her to get hurt by the Alpha pack.
Now she's involved, they're letting her help.
And she can't.
Aiden knew how the hybrid was feeling after she literally cried herself to sleep as she told him her magic was gone.
He knew she had this determination she save everyone; it didn't matter if they had hurt her or not.
He assumed it was based off her blood, while she is her own person Aria still had Royal blood in her veins. Even though she wasn't technically Queen, they were still her people whether she liked it or not.
Her mind knew, somehow her mind knew that no matter the cost, she had a duty.
A duty to protect her people.
"Lydia?" Alison suggests with a raised eyebrow.
"Lydia?" Chris questions, titling his head to the side "What can she do?"
"Scream" Aria groans, holding her ears "Really loudly."
On the night, the sheriff was taken, Aria heard Lydia's scream, well she thought everyone had heard the girl scream from how loud it was.
"Uh" Stiles states "Uh Lydia's got a sort of a talent."
"Yeah, for making me go deaf" Aria scoffs.
Stiles rolls his eyes "She somehow ended up finding a couple of the bodies, um without actually looking for them."
"Well, what is she?" Chris questions "Psychic?" he asks walking over to a set of draws.
"She's something" Stiles nods his head, his eyes widening as the hunters grabs different guns, knives and bombs and places them on his desk.
"Whoa" Adien and Aria say at the same time.
"I thought you guys retired" Stiles says in disbelief at the number of weapons he was looking at.
"Retired, yes" Chris confirmation loading a gun "Defenceless, no"
As the others continued their conversation, Aria slowly walked towards a pair of knives, before quickly grabbing them and hiding them in her boot. Looking up she sees Aiden giving her a small thumbs up at her actions.
If she didn't have her magic, she needed a new way of helping, and it seemed knives were going to be that new way.
"Now make sure, your phone's on." Chris firmly states "If you hear from Scott, you let us know immediately."
"Highly unlikely" Aria snort, closing her eyes.
"Yeah" Stiles nods his head "What she said." Looking between Alison and Aria.
"You guys" Chris sighs "Try to remember he's just doing what he thinks is right."
Aria purses her lips "So he thinks being besties with the guy who stood back and watch one of his pack members try and get Derek to kill Boyd when he's literally blind is the right choice?"
"Aria..." Chris softy says "He's just trying to his mom back and the sheriff back."
"I get it" Aria nods her head "I do, I would do anything to get my mom back if I could but I'm just saying he doesn't get to judge my decisions when his are shit."
Aria blows out a breathe "I 've got to find a spell that let's me snap your necks without killing you." She groans, walking out of the office with Aiden.
"She's joking right?" Stiles states with wide eyes.

After leaving the hunters apartment, Stiles, Aria, and Aiden when to find Lydia at the school, hoping to find some answers as to why Jenifer wanted to kill Lydia. When the red-haired girl revealed that the women called her banshee.
Yet she was surprised by her scream, which meant Jenifer didn't actually know Lydia was part of the supernatural.
Which also meant that there was another reason as to why Jennnifer wanted Lydia dead.
And it wasn't because she was a banshee.
"Princess" Aiden calls Aria out of her thoughts, making her rolls her eyes at the name.
"I told you, No princess. Just Aria" The hybrid growls out.
No one has irritated or annoyed her ever as much as the brown-haired boy beside her. With his teasing, his nicknames, his laugh and even the way he looked at her.
She would never admit it, to anyone not even to herself but she was grateful for him, for the distraction. She didn't have to say a thing for him to know someone was wrong, which was the main reason as to why she told him about her magic.
And he listened, he let her ramble, he let her scream and most of all he let her cry.
He was becoming important to her and as much as she loved that feeling, it also scared her because now.
He was also her weakness.
"You love it really" Aiden grins at the scowl on her face. "Don't worry, you don't have to admit it. I already know." He whispers into her ear.
"And how would you possibly know that?" Aria raised an eyebrow at the boy, truly curious to see what he would say.
"You may have forgotten" Aiden softly whispers, glances around before smiling back at his girl "But you see, I'm a werewolf."
"Really" Aria dramatically gasps "I had no idea." She sarcastically states.
"And with being a werewolf" Aiden continues, ignoring her comments "We have great, no brilliant hearing."
"I think you are the one forgetting something" Aria whispers back with a grin. "I'm also a werewolf."
"Then you'll understand when I say we can hear everyone's heart beats" Aiden informs hers with a grin of his own.
"Of course" Aria rolls her eyes "It gets pretty annoying when you're trying to sleep and you can hear Stiles's heart going miles a minutes from him running up the stairs."
"Hey!" Stiles speaks up, slightly offended by her words "Don't bring me into this."
"Maybe for you" Aiden shrugs his shoulder "But I quite enjoy it,"
Aria stops walking and turns to the boy "That is very disturbing and strange."
"I enjoy it because...." Aiden begins to clarify "Every time I call you princess, your heartbeat jumps," He leans down and whispers into her ear.
Aria opened her mouth to reply and deny his statement but no words came out.
"I'm happy to know that you're affected by me." He adds with a wink "But don't worry. If you must know, You affect me too."
Aria freezes before shaking her head "Nope. No more talking. Keep that mouth shut please." She states turning round to see Stiles hands shaking as he looks down at his phone.
"Nerd?" She quietly calls out
The smile and happiness was now gone from his face and in place was fear.
Something else has happened.
"Stiles?" Aiden furrows his eyebrows.
"What is it?" Lydia hesitantly asks.
"It's from Isaac" Stiles explains looking at lyida before back down at the message.
"Blonde pup?" Aria states.
"Yeah" Stiles shakingly says "Jennifer...she...she has Allison's father. She took him."
"She's got all three now" he whispers.
"Damn it" Aria shouts out, before running towards the girls' bathrooms, ignoring the calls from the group.
She couldn't breathe, the floor was shaking, her vison blurry as tears streamed down her face. She felt useless because she was useless, she can't track, she can't firebomb the bitch anymore.
And now Chris was gone.
She blamed herself, she told him that his plan wasn't going to work. He was a freaking human with some guns, Jennifer was a literally creature, she was smart and clever.
He underestimated her.
Dropping the floor.
She screams, it's too much, to many people leaving, becoming targets and there's nothing she can do.
Clawing at her throat as she gasps for air, but no use. Her breathing is rapid, her tears stating her checks.
"Ria?"
Aria froze at the name, there's only two people who called her that and their dead.
"Breathe, come on you need to breath princess" a familiar voice says in the distance.
"I can't" Aria sobs out, pulling her knees up to her chest "I can't...I can't."
"Breathe, little witch."
"Come on, Ria, calm down."
"Damon?" She gasps, rubbing her eyes, trying to wipe her tears away.
Furrowing her eyebrows as she sees Aiden in front of her with what looks like a panicked expression covering his face.
"Aiden?" she whispers in confusion, making the boy sigh in relief before pulling her into his arms.
"You scared me there princess." He admits, placing a gently kiss on her forehead.
"You called me Ria" she mutters into his chest.
"Sorry, I won't say it again" he apologises "I just needed you to focus on something else and well I guess that name caught your attention." He explains.
"No" Aria shakes her head "It's fine, it just that the last person to call me that is probably dead." she sniffles.
"Damon" Aiden softly states, causing her to nod her head in response.
"Yeah" she whispers. "I miss him" she confesses.
"Can I ask what made you panic?" Aiden carefully questions, stroking her hair.
He didn't want to trigger her again, but he still wanted to know what caused her to panic so much. He could guess and probably get the answer, but he wanted her to tell him.
"I'm frustrated" Aria admits after a few seconds of silence "I...I used to be so scared of having to much magic, so much power and now that I don't have it..." She trials off.
"You feel powerless" Aiden finishes for her.
"If I had my magic, I could have found them by now, we wouldn't be waiting. They would be here." Aria concludes.
"That may be true, but that would also mean you wouldn't have saved Cora. She's alive." Aiden states.
"Because of you she's alive."
"I know" Aria sighs.
"Do you regret saving her?" Aiden asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Of course not. She's family." Aria shuck her head "But I just wished I could save their parents too."
"They aren't dead yet" Aiden points out "We still have time to save them."
"Not yet" Aria mumbles "We're running out of time, I can feel it."
"You can't save everyone princess." Aiden comments "Sometimes you can try as hard as you can and it still not be enough."
"it's not fair" Aria comments with a frown.
"No. it's not" Aiden agrees "But when that happens, you can't think about the loss, think about the good parts, how much strength and determination you fought with."
Aria looked up to the boy "You'll be there, won't you."
"Always Princess" Aiden declares "I'll always be your side."
