That was meant for her, the sharp angelic spear from Vaggie now pierced through your stomach, blood trilling slowly down the corner of your fallen smile.
It caused Lute to temporarily blank out as she yelled, dropping the demon she was holding. She didn't think she needed to worry, your always so careful... damn it. But nothing could be done now as she rushed over to your dying body, Vaggie scoffing
Yes she felt slightly bad for Lute, but she was ruthless, especially at the last extermination, why should she care?
But on Lute's side she had just died somehow herself watching you fall to the cold ground she was quick to lift you up off of trying to convince herself it was all just a dream and she'd wake up in heaven with you guys in bed
But seeing your eyes half lidded looking up into hers, she knew it wasn't going to happen.
And even though she swore not to show emotion, you could see the small tears pricking at her eyes as you force a weak smile wiping a tear with a weak hand
"Why the fuck did you have to do that?" She finally mustered to say her voice breaking despite trying to keep it steady. "Because I can't let you die" you said, sounding like you were stating a fact. Because you were, you wernt going to let the only love of your life leave you when she had come in not even that long ago
But here you are, doing it to her, knowing she wouldn't forgive you for leaving her. But you didn't care she'd be safe, you thought tucking a small strand of her silver hair behind her ear
"Don't worry," you started weakly
"I'll see you in the next life." You said wanting to believe that there was something after dying twice. Second heaven or hell perhaps?
But it didn't matter she was still emotional practically begging you to stay with her, but alas your hand slipped and your breathing stopped, she let one more tear fall down her face before deciding to go back to heaven, she couldn't look at anybody right then. So she called the exterminators back to heaven
But as she flew up the words stayed in her mind
"I'll see you in the next life." God could she not wait to see you again. No matter how long it took she'd find you
