You were friends with Stolas. Good friends actually which made Stella suspicious up until the divorce, when she didn't care.
What you didn't know was that he had a pet, until one day he called you and asked if you'd watch it. You said sure as long as it wasn't anything crazy, to which he responded with that it was a cat.
You said okay and the next day you went to his place and you guys' were talking for a while before he finally had to leave to which he showed you where his pet was. When you walked in your jaw immediately dropped and he looked at you
"What's wrong?" He asked
"What's wrong? What do you mean, what's wrong? I thought you wanted me to watch your cat! That" you said pausing to point to it, "is a dragon" you responded.
He looked at it trying to avoid your eye "yeah... A dragon named Kitty" he said to which you responded with a sigh.
"Will you still watch her?" He asked and you paused to think about it. "Fine but only once."
If only that were true you ended up watching her many times after that growing closer with her and Stolas but eventually Stolas did start to get a bit flirtatious and you played along, soon after both of your feelings were evident but you both refused to admit it
This could be interesting, you said heading toward the news station...
