Future: "Accepting My Flaws."

Rain drops fell from the sky and onto the window pane as Cimani at on the ledge of her Bay window, staring out into the abyss. Her mind scrambled with her uncomfortable thoughts as she sat with her arms wrapped around her legs as she nuzzled her chin into her knees. It had been exactly one month since her abortion and for weeks she was depressed.

Feeling as if the abortion put a wedge into her relationship, she couldn't help but to feel guilty for going through with the abortion. Although she wasn't ready for kids, and Ezriah wasn't in the perfect position to be a parent her mind betrayed her and made her feel as if she as if she was the reason their relationship had got rocky. But that wasn't the case, at all.

The honeymoon stage in their relationship had passed and now their faith was being tested. At this point in their relationship, this situation could either make or break them. Them starting off as a fling, and the first feeling they both felt for each other being lust, they were now being forced to connect on a deeper level.

Cimani hadn't been to work in a month, Trav and her were close friends outside of the job so once she informed him that she was going through personal issues he didn't mind if she took some time off.

Cimani's depression caused her to be more closed off towards the people she loved. Ashley and Chloè knew how Cimani shut down when depressed, it was something they both experienced with her as she was growing up. At the ripe age of 12, Chloè had helped Cimani through one of the darkest times of her life.

"You're a fuckin' cheater." An annoyed Cimani said as she eyed Jared, a goofy smile plastered across his handsome face. She couldn't help but to smile back at him as she rolled her eyes.

"Don't hate the playa' hate the game baby." He said cockily as he popped his collar. They were bowling at Bowl360 in Queens, Cimani was in the lead at first but Jared caught up with her and got in the lead.

Cimani pointed her middle finger at him and he frowned. "What I tell you about being a sore loser?" He teased as he made his way towards her, snaking his hands around her waist.

Cimani waved him off as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Whatever." She said as she leaned into him. "I gotta go soon though, my phone is dead and Chloè wants me to come pick her up tonight."

Jared nodded his head, picking up one of the hot wings that was on the table, taking a bite. "Bet, we out." Was all he said before placing a few hundred bills on the table, grabbing his coat and heading out the door.

Once they pulled up in front of Cimani's parents' house Jared let her go inside as he waited in the car.

Cimani knocked on the door a few times, waiting for someone to open the door. Cimani's eyes widened as she seen a teary eyed Chloè, instantly assuming her mother had something to do with her sisters distress, "What did mommy do?" She questioned, panic evident in her voice as she stepped inside, closing the door behind her.

She stormed into her parents house, making her way to her parents room but before she could make it up the stairs Chloè grabbed her arm. "Cimani, no." She sniffled. "It wasn't mommy."

Cimani's face softened as she embraced her younger sister into a hug, "So what is it Chlo?"

Chloè hesitated to speak, she didn't know how to break the news to her sister that her best friend was dead. Chyna had been battling Osteosarcoma for a while now. She had stayed with Cimani for a few when she first moved into her apartment, but once her cancer got more aggressive her new home was the hospital.

Seeing the hesitation in her sisters face, Cimani's eyebrows furrowed as she frowned. "Chloè.. you're scaring me." Was all she said as her heart rate sped up.

"Chyna.. Chyna passed away Cimani." Chloè said hesitantly as she seen the glimmer in her sisters eye disappear. She hated she had the be the one to bare her sister the news, but even at twelve years old Chloè knew that since her sisters phone was dead and nobody else could've informed her, she had to be the one to do it. She knew her sister was coming straight to her, and she wouldn't be able to live with the thought of her knowing, and not telling her sister. She didn't want her to find out through social media or any one else. She wanted to be the one to tell her because that was the right thing to do.

Cimani's eyes watered as she felt as if the world stopped. Chyna wasn't just a childhood friend, she was family. Real friends were hard to come across and she was one of them. She was such a loving, genuine person and if any one deserved a chance at life it was her. Yet she was dealt the worst cards imaginable. With a family that barely cared, she was homeless by the age of sixteen. Started dating a boy who was also homeless, they fell in love but he left her as soon as he found out she had cancer. On top of getting cancer, she had to get her leg amputated as well.

Now she was dead. Cimani couldn't help but to question God, and his ways. She didn't deserve anything that happened to her, and Cimani just couldn't wrap her head around why something so horrifying could happen to such a beautiful soul.

Tears slowly fell from Cimani's eyes as she quickly wiped them away. She didn't want to wake her parents, so just wiped her face and made her way towards the front door. "Let's go." She said lowly as she made her way back outside.

Making her way back towards Jared's car, Cimani couldn't help the stray tears that fell. As much as she wanted to hide the fact that she was crying from Jared, she couldn't.

Once she got inside of this car, he immediately became alert, worry evident in his face. "What's wrong?"

Cimani wiped her tears as she mustered up the strength to talk. "Take me home. Please." She begged as she tried her best to hold it together.

She felt a pain in her chest as she tried to keep her feelings bottled up. She wasn't afraid to cry in front of people, she was afraid of really breaking down.

Chloè knew exactly what was happening to her sister, she was entering flight-or-fight mode. The fight or flight response is an automatic physiological reaction to an event that is perceived as stressful or frightening. The perception of threat activates the sympathetic nervous system and triggers an acute stress response that prepares the body to fight or flee. A trauma response she picked up growing up with the bipolar, over bearing, jealous mother she had.

It was like she shut down, she would be alert—yet quiet for days. Her mind in a panic state for days, almost as if she was having a long-lasting panic attack. Her doctor told her this could also be connected to the Syncope condition she had, which was fainting spells.

Pulling up to Cimani's apartment Jared grabbed her hand and kissed it. "Ima give you space, let me know when you ready to talk." He said embracing her into a hug, Cimani melted into him as she felt a tear fall. "I love you. I can stay if you want." He said as he tightened his grip on her.

"I'm okay. I love you." Was all she said before she got out of his car, and made her way inside of her apartment. Chloè watched her sister as she made her way into her room, closing her door behind her.

She knew if she didn't console her sister, she would be in that room for weeks. As much as Cimani didn't want anybody to comfort her in her time of need, she needed it whether she liked it or not.

Cimani let out a gut wrenching scream as she threw the vase that sat on her dresser against the wall. Anger is what she felt, grief is what she felt next. Tears flowed down her face as she sobbed. Her heart felt broken into a million pieces as she thought of the beautiful face of her closest friend Chyna.

She didn't bother to look up when she heard her room door open, and close. "Chloè please.. I don't want you to see me like this." She said as she covered her face, now sobbing into her hands.

Chloè made her way over to her sister, tears forming in her eyes now also. "I'm not leaving you sissy. I love you." She said softly as she wrapped her arms around her older sister, whom she admired. Her seeing Cimani crying didn't make her look at her as weak, In her eyes Cimani was the strongest person she knew.

Cimani laid her head on her sisters tiny chest, Chloè stroked her hair as she cried. In that moment, Chloè's age didn't matter, she was Cimani's savior at that point. Cimani could've fell into a dark place that night, but she didn't because of the compassionate twelve year old girl that she was blessed to call her sister.

...

"You good?" Ezriah asked Cimani as he walked into the room with a towel wrapped around his waist. He had been there with her every step of the way, and tried his best to understand that she wasn't there mentally and couldn't bring herself to show up 100 percent in their relationship, so he felt as if as long as she was giving at least 20 percent, he didn't mind putting in 80. And even if she couldn't even put in that 20 percent, he would put 100 because that's what relationships were about. Being there for one another, he had learned a lot about relationships, courtesy of Dr. Sanchez.

In other words, he didn't mind her giving him the cold shoulder. He didn't get mad that she was a little distant and didn't want to be bothered, he didn't take it as disrespect or her not being interested any more. He knew she was battling things mentally, and it had nothing to do with him or their relationship. Which is why he didn't mind putting in the necessary work for their relationship by himself because it would be times were he needed her to do the same.

Cimani nodded, averting her eyes to him as she examined him. "Yeah, I'm okay."

Ezriah made his way towards her dresser, pulling out some under wear and a black tee. He had basically moved in, most of his stuff took up the entire right side of her dresser and his shoes were lined up in her closet. She didn't mind though, she loved it actually. He also had his ps5 plugged up to her Tv.

"I don't think you are." He said as he walked over to the safe he had at the top of her closet. Typing in the code, he pulled out over twenty five hundred dollars, and handed her the stack. "Go get dolled up. Hair, nails, outfit. Ash baby shower in two days, we gotta get you back outside mama." He said as he placed a kiss on her forehead.

Cimani smiled as she grabbed the money, and looked up at him. "I love you." She said softly.

"I love you more." He said as he kissed her lips. This was the most affection he had gotten from her in a month. During the day, she'd be cooped up in her room just letting the time pass by. She had stopped bleeding a week after the procedure, yet she still couldn't bring herself to get out of bed. She didn't need anything from Ezriah but his presence, so she stayed in the house all day waiting for him to come home from being in the streets.

Their days consisted of, Cimani being inside all day cooking, cleaning, and crying. While Saint was outside, making money. The only intimate time they got together was when he came home, kissed her on her forehead, and cuddled her until she fell asleep.

Ezriah was more involved than he usually would be and that's because he was hurting also. Being that their relationship had took a turn, he tried to distract him self from the fact that he didn't know how long this storm would last. He wanted things to be how they used to be, and instead of sitting with his feelings, he distracted him self. By being out all day, making plays, going on hits and popping pills.

His girl friend was hurting, and it was nothing he could do to help her. She had to help herself, and that alone was enough to drive him crazy. He felt helpless, he also felt a feeling he hadn't felt in a very long time: fear. He was scared things with him and Cimani would never go back to normal, he feared that the most.

Once he was finished getting dressed, he made his way outside and hopped into his Bentley Truck. Turning the car on, and plugging his phone up to the Aux he then reached into the glove compartment, and pulled out a baggie which held six perc 10's.

He took two out of the bag, and threw them back with the red Gatorade he had purchased this morning. He didn't necessarily love the feeling of being high, it just kept his mind off the things he didn't want to think about. One of the things being that he felt bad because he was sexually frustrated, him and Cimani hadn't had sex in about two months and he didn't even want to bring the topic up to her because he felt bad that he was even thinking about that at a time like this.

He even confided in Dr. Sanchez because he felt as if he was an asshole, but she assured him that it was natural for a man to want to have sex with his partner, even at inappropriate times like this. Her exact words were: "You are a human, who has flesh. Of course sexual thoughts are going to cross your mind because although your mind is in a depressive state like hers, you have coping mechanisms. And sex is one of them. but she doesn't have any coping mechanisms. She just needs to know that she is loved, try to show her that in ways other than sex."

Dr. Sanchez read him like a book, unbeknownst to her, since he couldn't cope with sex, he popped pills. It was his gateway drug.

Taking her advice, Ezriah sat around for days and thought about how he could show Cimani love without sex, and gifts. After thinking long and hard, he decided to plan a perfect day for her, something that he knew she would love. Something calm, simple yet soothing.

As Cimani lotioned her body, a text from Ezriah made her eyebrows raise. He just left her not too long ago so she wondered what tricks he had up his sleeve.

From: Lover♾️: Can I take you out tonight? Be ready by 6.

To: Lover♾️: Are you asking me or telling me?😂

From: Lover♾️: take it how you want, 6 oclock tho shorty. Dont forget

Cimani couldn't help but to smile as she slipped on her bra and panty set. This was the best she had been feeling and weeks, and she was happy she actually felt up to leaving the house today. Slipping on her sweatpants, she sprayed some perfume on.

As she slipped her tank top over her head, she heard her room door open. Peeking over her shoulder, she watched as Nipsey entered her room. A fresh plate of cut up cantaloupe in his hand, as he chewed on one that was in his hand.

"Whats up sis? Wanna smoke?" He asked as he plopped down on her memory foam mattress. Nipsey knew about the situation and tried to be there for his brother and Cimani as best as he could. He wanted them to stick together, so he made sure to check in on the both of them as much as possible.

Cimani slipped her slides on, making her way towards the bed also. She sat at the head of the bed, as Nipsey was sprawled out at the bottom, chewing on his cantaloupe. His hair was freshly braided and he sported a white and black Gallery Department T shirt.

"Yes, roll the fuck up. I need to get high." She said as she opened the YouTube app on her Tv, Lil Durk's 'Fabricated.' flowing through the TV's speakers.

Nipsey didn't hesitate to start rolling up a blunt. "Where Ash at, sleep?" Cimani asked, already knowing the answer.

Nipsey nodded. "You know it. That girl gone sleep her damn life away if she could." He laughed. "But how you been though?" He asked getting straight to the point, he didn't care to beat around the bush.

"Today is better than most days. I'm hoping whatever your brother had planned tonight can lift my spirits."

Nipsey lit the blunt, taking a pull before lighting it again. "I guarantee my brother gonna make your night. But, you shouldn't rely on him for your happiness. And what I mean by that is, nobody is responsible for your happiness but you. Don't just wait around for shit to be going good in your life to be happy, you gotta make yourself happy every day."

Cimani took in his words as she vibed out to the music. "I know, that's something I gotta work on. Making myself happy, I struggle with that."

Nipsey passed her the blunt, "Take it one day at a time. Start doing little shit that you like, take extra care of yourself. Don't just sit in here depressed all day waiting for my brother to come and make you happy. You gotta do it for yourself Ci."

Cimani took a pull from the blunt, eyeing Nipsey with adoration in his eyes. "You like the brother I never had." She said as she blew out smoke. "I love you Nip. I don't know what I'd do with out you or your brother."

Nipsey smiled at her, "Ahh you getting soft on me Ci the shoota'" he joked, nudging her. "For real though, I love you too. I'm glad my brother got somebody like you."

...

Pulling back up to Cimani's house, Saint parked his car and sighed. He had spent all day running around to pick up items for the date he had planned for him and Cimani. It was now going on 5 p.m. And he wanted to be at their destination by six so that they could watch the sunset.

He had ended up taking two more Percocet's so now he had two left, that he planned to indulge in them right before him and Cimani left out. Either that or as soon as they got there.

Making his way inside, he nodded his head at Jahiem while embracing Chloè into a side hug as he slipped his shoes off. "What's up Chlo?" He greeted her. "Whats good cuz?" He said to Jaheim as he slipped his jacket off next.

"Hey E." Chloè smiled. "Whatever you and Cimani about to do, got her up there looking good. This the most I seen her smile in weeks." She said as she applauded Ezriah for lifting her sisters spirits.

Taking in her words, Ezriah felt a sensation hit the bottom of his stomach. Guilt, is what he felt. He felt guilty for making Cimani happy again, when his memory was so foggy he didn't even remember most of what occurred the past month. The pills he were abusing were making his brain fog, his memory was impaired and most of the days that went by felt as if it was the same day in a loop, for him each day felt like the last.

Which is why he would come home late, because he knew the room would be dark and Cimani would be on her way to bed. She wouldn't notice his dilated pupils, and slow movements. He felt as if he could've been there more, but how could he? She was pushing him away.

"I love your sister." Was all he said before he made his way upstairs.

Cimani jumped as she heard her door open. She adjusted the gold Jesus piece she had around her neck, and turned back towards the mirror once she seen it was Ezriah.

She felt his eyes on her as they raked from head to toe, Ezriah couldn't help but to lick over his lips as he examined the beauty that was in front of him. The black body suit she wore clung to every curve. His eyes fixated on the back part of the one piece, her back was exposed as the straps tied around her neck, showing a bit of cleavage.

She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear before turning so that she was now facing him. "How do I look?" She asked nervously. For some reason she was shy around him, they had to relearn each other on a deeper level and they hadn't had any sexual contact in weeks. Her depression causing her over think, she never was insecure before but she was now. She often caught her self comparing her self to his ex, since she never got a chance to put face to name, she didn't know how this girl looked. She didn't even know the girls name.

She often caught her self wanting to ask Ezriah about her, she didn't want to come off as insecure though. She didn't care at first, but after the abortion she felt as if Ezriah looked at her differently hence why she was shutting him out. Little did she know, that wasn't the case at all. Ezriah was having the same exact thoughts about her, he didn't want her to think he wanted his ex, or that he would ever cheat on her. He wanted to tell her how he felt, and tonight was the night to do that.

"You look fuckin' beautiful." His New York accent heavy as his voice drop a few octaves. The tone in his voice sent chills down Cimani's spine.

Her brown skin heated up as she broke away from his intense stare. Ezriah could see that she was nervous, the only question he had was: why?

His long legs stalked towards her as his chains clinked against his chest. Towering over her, grabbing her chin he pulled her face towards his. "You nervous?" He asked her calmly as he peered into her dark brown orbs.

Cimani slowly nodded as her eyes scanned over every feature of his face. That had became something she did whenever they were face to face, which was frequently. She didn't think she'd ever get tired of looking at him, he was the most handsome man she'd ever seen.

"A little." She said softly as she batted her eye lashes at him.

Ezriah tucked his lip in between his teeth as he felt his dick jump at the site of her batting her eye lashes at him. The look she had on her face, turning him on even though it wasn't intended to.

Placing a soft kiss on her lips, he pulled away and stared back into her eyes. "Don't be. I got you." He said as he grabbed her hand, and led her outside to his car.

The ride to Long Beach, was no longer than thirty minutes. Pulling into the driveway of the beach house Ezriah rented out from time to time, he parked his car and went around to Cimani's door to open her door.

She had a confused expression on her face as she examined the house in front of her. It was beautiful nonetheless, she was just confused as to whose house it was.

"Whose house is this?"

Using a spare key he had, he unlocked the front door letting both of them in. Cimani took in the bohemian style decor the house had and she was in awe. "It's one of Nip's properties. I rent it out some times." He shrugged as he slipped his shoes off.

Cimani walked around the living room, taking in the scenery, the windows were huge and you could see the ocean that wasn't too far. "So, you do hotels and he does houses?" She questioned.

"Basically." He said as he grabbed her hand, leading her to the door that led to the basement.

Cimani eyed him skeptically as she waited for him to walk down the steps first. "What you got going on nigga?" She joked as she eyed him up and down with her arms crossed.

Ezriah laughed, "Girl if I wanted to kidnap yo' ass I would've been did it." He said as he playfully pushed her. She let out another laugh as she followed him down the steps.

He was glad to hear her laughing, it was an angelic sound he missed, he hadn't heard it in a while and it was like music to his ears.

Once they made it to the basement, he showed her around. It was set up like an apartment, they were going to be down there for the night since the basement led directly outside to the side of the house were he had a picnic set up.

"We could stay here tonight if you want to, it could be like a mini vacation for us.." he said as he waited for her reaction. He didn't want to over step since he knew they were still going through a rough patch.

Cimani's eyes held a look of uncertainty, but she shook her head slowly. "Maybe we need this get away." Was all she said as she bit down on her lip.

Ezriah couldn't help but to admire her beauty once again, her soft brown skin glowing under the warm glow of the incandescent light bulbs. Her eyes glimmered as she returned the same glare he was giving her.

Pulling his phone out, Cimani tilted her head as she gave him a small smile. "Always taking pictures." She giggled as she posed.

He snapped a few more pictures of her, pure adoration in his eyes as he licked over his lips. "You so damn fine girl." He said as he tried to refrain from grabbing her up and placing a rough kiss on her lips. He was craving her. Her touch, her taste, down to the smell of her pussy. He felt as if he was losing his mind with out it.

"I'll be right back." He said as he made his way to the bathroom that was down the hall. Cimani took that as her chance to look around some more, taking in the decor of the basement. It was a completely different vibe from the actual house. The basement had more of a modern vibe, the two main colors being white and grey. It was kind of plain, but the interior design made it look as if it were a real apartment. Everything looked so up to date, and clean.

Ezriah splashed a little bit of water on his face, before swallowing the last two perc 10's he had. That was all he had for the rest of the night, and he just hoped it'd hold him over until tomorrow.

He knew he had to slow down on the pills, but he didn't know how he would cope with out them. Weed wasn't enough, the only other thing that could give him a feeling that drugs couldn't was Cimani.

He wasn't only popping pills because his relationship was rocky, he also dwelled on his life. He didn't think he'd ever get the chance to be a father if he continued living his life the way he did. He felt sympathy for him self because he didn't know any other life besides the streets. Yeah he owned his own properties, but none of it ever felt real because he knew underneath the surface he wasn't legit. One wrong move, he could have every thing slip from under his fingers in the blink of an eye.

He was tired of living life on the edge, but he had got so accustomed to the streets he couldn't even picture him self living a normal life. He wanted a family, he wanted to be a father. He hated that he was a product of his environment, and as much as he loved his mother he'd just wished she'd pushed harder for him not to follow in his father's footsteps.

He knew she was still young, learning, and hurting at the same time so although she wasn't perfect he loved her. For trying to give him a good life despite his father being an abusive, controlling, perverted bastard.

Cimani scrolled on her instagram as she waited for Ezriah to come out of the bathroom. She couldn't help but to smile as she seen the post Ezriah shared to his instagram.

She clicked on his instagram story, sending him the heart eyes to the story he posted.

Making his way out of the bathroom, he made his way towards her. He placed a kiss on her lips before leading her outside, he watched as her face lit up as she took in the scenery.

He had lanterns hanging up on the patio, a couch with a few blankets, a projector and a charcuterie board. He also had a few wine bottles, sandwiches and all of Cimani's favorite snacks.

Cimani cheeks started to hurt from how hard she was smiling, "This is so beautiful." She said teary eyed as she looked around. Ezriah embraced her into a hug, wiping a tear that fell. "You such a cry baby." He joked as he kissed her forehead.

Cimani always talked about how she loved chill dates, and lounging. So he took heed to that and decided to set up a date that was comfortable, yet thoughtful.

Hand in hand they made their way towards the couch, both taking a seat as they cuddled up together. "Let's watch this." Cimani said as she pointed to the movie tilted 'Nowhere.' On Netflix.

"I think I seen the preview for this shit on Facebook, heard it was good." Ezriah said as he rested his arm above Cimani's waist, her head on his chest.

They sat quietly as they ate, and enjoyed the movie. Thirty minutes into the movie, Cimani noticed Ezriah's eyes had gotten low which was weird to her since she hadn't seen him smoke all day.

"Tired baby?" She asked as she caressed the side of his face. Ezriah's face felt numb as he fought to keep his eyes open. The effect of the pills kicking in earlier than they should've. He took a deep breath as he adjusted his position, so that Cimani's couldn't see his face fully.

"A little." He said as he nuzzled his face into the nape of neck, taking in her scent. She always smelled like Vanilla, or Cashmere. Her scent was intoxicating to him.

Thrown off by how sluggish his words were sounding, Cimani ignored it at first but became worrisome once she seen he was starting to sweat. It was a little chilly out since they were outside, and close to the water. Although it was nearing the end of February, it was still a little cold out.

"Ezriah.." she said as she cupped his face, making him look her in the eyes. "Whats wrong with you?" She asked panic evident in her voice.

Ezriah gulped as he slowly brought his eyes to hers. He seen the worry in her face and his eyes softened as his movements slowed. "Baby, I'm just high that's all. Don't worry about me."

Cimani's eyebrows furrowed as she tilted her head to the side. "High off of what? I ain't seen you roll up all day." Her tone of voice changed now, Ezriah knew what that tone meant—annoyance.

"A pill baby. Chill out."

Cimani scoffed, removing her hands from his face. "Since when you do pills, Saint?" She said using his street name in a sarcastic way. Almost hinting as if he was hiding things, this was Saint doing drugs to her, not Ezriah.

Ezriah palmed his forehead as he tried to slow down his heart rate. "Since before I met you. I only do em' occasionally, you ain't gotta worry ma. I promise."

Shifting her position, Cimani stared up at him with those doe eyes and that unintentionally sexy pout. "Are you doing this because of me?" She asked lowly.

Leaning up a little, Ezriah placed his head on her thigh as her hands automatically went to his head, almost as if it was her second nature. She ran her fingers through his braids, caressing his scalp as she listened to him speak.

"Truth be told, I don't know. You shutting me out like that made me want to distract myself. I thought running the streets and working would help, that didn't so I decided to do both.." he said as talked slowly, making sure he was enunciating his words clearly.

"I'm hurting too Ci, it's so much shit i got pent up and therapy is helping but I don't know. Sometimes I just be needing you to listen. And I know you going through ya' own shit too but you ain't gotta do it alone. Ion' wanna just trap all day and come home and cuddle with you and that be the only time we spend together. I want us to go through our shit together. We pose to be one." He said as he felt his heart rate slowing down, his hands sweating also as he felt he head starting to spin. Even though he was high, he didn't stutter not once as he explained to Cimani how he felt.

He turned so that he was now facing Cimani, looking up at her from her lap he tried to read the expression on her face. "I know I've been distant, and for that i apologize. I should've never shut you out but I've just been over thinking.. a lot. I just don't believe that you're over your ex." She started. "But before we get into that, can you promise me one thing?"

"What is it?" He asked.

"Try to stop taking pills. And don't do it because I asked you to, do it for you. I want you to do better Ezriah. Not just for me but for yourself. I'll be here with you, every step of the way."

Sitting up so that he was now facing her, Ezriah ignored the dizziness he felt and pulled Cimani into him. She laid with her head against his chest as she listened to his rapid heart beat. "I promise Ci." He said as he placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

"And don't you ever feel as if I'm not over Sasha." He said revealing her name to Cimani. "The way I feel about you, is unexplainable. You give me a feeling no woman has ever gave me in life. Don't ever think for one second you and her are in competition, for one, I am a man. I don't double back, I elevate. She's in my past." He said as he grabbed her hands in his. "You are my present, and future. I love you, I'll trade my life for yours Cimani. I'll do whatever to see you smile, I'm here because I want to be. Don't ever doubt your place in my life, you hear me?"

And just like that, any worry or doubts Cimani had about Ezriah were gone. The passion behind his eyes and the way the words rolled off of his tongue with such seriousness had Cimani convinced that he meant every word.
