Plot; on the day of your birthday, your bestfriend; Rui Kamishiro, take the two of you around Phoenix wonderland for a wonderful amount of gifts and fun.
At first glance, you had figured it was how you would be spending your day, with your bestfriend and crush.
But for Rui? It was just a way to distract you from coming home. Where a party was held in surprise for you, with all of your friends waiting for you to see it.

You shrieked, watching as your oh-so stubborn parent grabbed you by the arm and whipped you out of bed with just a single pull, it was unfortunate to you that they were extremely strong.
You groaned sending a glare their way as they did nothing but ignore your antics; "Y/N, I am in no mood to fight with you right now young one."
They waved their finger menacingly, pushing you into the closet as a muffled voice was heard hence again. You huffed at the rude response, "Now get ready! Your poor friend Kamishiro is out right now waiting for you to come out! Who knows how long he's been sitting there for."
A sudden surge of energy & realization hit you, Rui was waiting for you? While you were dead asleep?
Without hesitation you reached out to grab a pair of clothing, rushing to wash up fast and as if you beat the world record, and soon you found yourself running outside of your bedroom.
You froze, spotting the exact boy lingering in your mind sat over at the table, humming to himself.
You cleared your throat, and he turned to you.
"What are you doing here?" You asked, slightly irritated that out of all days he decided to get your family to rudely drag you out of bed it had to be today, your birthday to be exact.
Now you weren't finding dory, so you of course remembered your date of birth, even more considering there was a calendar right over your bedside.
All Rui did was chuckle, sitting up from his chair to stand infront of you. Or rather, in other words, considering his ridiculous height... Loom over you.
"Happy birthday Y/N." He said, handing you a letter. Your irritation faded and was instead replaced with curiosity and intrigue.
You tore the letter open cautiously, looking through it to see a silly handmade card with a drawing of you and Rui. You both looked like goofs, it made you snicker whilst Rui's enjoyment only seemed to increase.
Your eyes darted to spot a little packet that seemed to be poorly glued on, reaching into it to find two Phoenix wonderland tickets.
You looked up at rui, spotting his hopeful eyes and inviting smile.
You couldn't help but return it, and Rui knew all too well what your answer was to the quiet yet comforting silence.
(Honestly you were just glad he didn't give you a cannon)

Your eyes sparkled as you stepped into the actual wonderland itself, turning your head left and right to stare at carnival games that were probably rigged, super fast rides & of course the signature Ferris wheel that every amusement park would need.
"Impressed?" You turned to see the males signature cat-like smile. Rolling your eyes you nodded.
You came to Phoenix wonderland only to watch Rui and his friends perform, but everytime, and everytime you passed by, you never took a second to admire the place.
It just struck you how beautiful the scenery was, and although you adore Rui & his spectacular shows, you were honestly glad you were hanging out with him here.
Suddenly, your focus changed from once which was the wonderland; to a basic carnival game.
Now you knew better, carnival games were rigged and you'd be spending your money trying to buy something that you just couldn't buy.
For two reasons; one: you can't buy a carnival prize, you have to work for it. and two: they were a waste of TICKETS.
you rolled your eyes, grabbing rui as you dragged him away from the games. He was too busy admiring odd contraptions on a ride that he yelled slightly as you yanked him.
You felt a bit disappointed, walking away from the stand is all... The F/A sure looked cute. But it was whatever, you could find a ton of those online for cheaper than popcorn at a theatre.
Atleast you hoped you could.
Suddenly Kamishiro came to a halt, you stopped to look at him, seeing him stare at something eagerly.
You followed his gaze, and to no surprise... he was looking at a teacup ride, the ones where you could control how fast the cups spin.
A groan escaped your lips, ignoring his chuckle as he happily took you with him and waited in line.
You made a mistake of coming with him to a completely different park once, one that also had teacup ride... an all too terrible experience in your opinion.
Back when you were kids, you and Rui went to places often during the summer, since both of you had no one else to play with.
One day you went to a goofy amusement park while on vacation somewhere, and Rui being the exceptionally observant one he is spotted the ride and dragged you after you had kindly accepted.
Yes, we're scratching the part off where tiny you wanted to say no because it seemed boring & you had hesitantly agreed when you turned and saw your parents staring daggers at you to accept.
— You thought it was going to be one heck of a boring time, until he took ahold of the wheel and spun it so fast you felt like you could throw up, he still teases you to this day over how your face looked.
Your stomach twisted, of course you trusted him, and sure that teacup incident was a little bit fun (if you ignore the throwing up in the trash can part) but.... Part of you had a bad feeling about this, and no it was not because of the mischievous smile he was sending your way, the one he always sent when he was planning something evil.
...okay it was totally that evil mischievous and suspicious smile he sent your way whenever he was planning something evil.
Did I repeat that?
"Next!" A Voice broke you out of your thoughts, sighing as rui took your hand and led you to a white cup with a purple outline.
You both stared at eachother, he looked at you all innocently, while you looked like you were about to kill him.
Silence passed you both, as you did absolutely nothing.
"Um... you two are supposed to spin the wheel to make it move." An employee said, you broke eye contact with the male, now feeling embarrassed.
You were about to apologize, only until you saw from the corner of your eye the fellow purple haired male grabbing onto the wheel and spinning it ten times faster than ever before.
You screamed, latching onto your seat with an impeccable death grip. Rui was laughing like a maniac as you both spun around and around, you swore you saw sonic crying because of the speed.
Eventually, after fighting off the nausea this was giving you; you smiled, & that smile turned into a giggle, which turned into a chuckle, then a laugh.
You probably looked like children right now, but you couldn't care less.

"Sorry about that." Rui said, wincing as you threw up for the last time in the trashcan just beside the ride. People walking by stared at you, but what did that matter?
You casually gave a thumbs up, indicating it was fine.
As you stood up straight, head away from the bin, you wiped your mouth and turned to him.
"It's fine, but we are not doing that again the next time we come here." He beamed, a playful eye roll coming from you.
That was totally a lie, you both were definitely doing this again, and Rui knew alright. He knew all too well.
"Where to next Y/N?" He smiled, considering he abruptly took you to the teacups first, it was only fair that you had a pick.
You hummed, looking around. Considering you just threw up, you chose a basic ride, the Ferris wheel; a classic.
Sure it wasn't any better, considering how high up it was, but you were good with heights at the most part.
Rui grinned as he followed your gaze, grabbing you and linking your arms as you ran.

And throughout the day, you two went from ride to ride, rollercoaster to dropper to whatever rides that Phoenix wonderland could ever store!
Spending time with the one and only Rui made it even better, you were lucky enough to compose yourself every-time he grabbed you by the hand of adm, a blush being fought back each time you made an effort to ignore it.
You enjoyed the day, Rui shared the same thoughts, so when it came to an end... you felt disappointed, but you still kept a smile as you two arrived home.
You both had the quietest of conversations, it was already dark out the minute you left, so it wasn't a good idea to be loud.
A click was heard as you twisted the doorknob, opening the door and entering with Rui following behind.
You looked around curiously, staring at the dark room with confusion, shouldn't your family be home by now?
"Hello?"
A silent tap on the light switch burst the everlasting ignorance, you closed your eyes as the brightness changed from dark to light, and when you got used to it— you looked around.
You prepared yourself for anything, anything but the fact all of your friends from school & family members were there, wide smiles on their faces as some popped confetti cannons in which filled the room, and your hair.
"SURPRISE!" They all said, staring at you in glee. Rui couldn't help but chuckle, while you stood all too shocked.
It took a minute to process it all, shaking your head you snapped to face kamishiro as he fought back a laugh from your expression.
You stared at him unbelievably, "you knew about this?!" Was all you said, exasperated. He nodded, everybody else replied with hums of agreement and nods.
"He planned it actually!" One of your friends replied, now hearing the statement you gasped In surprise.
A faint blush filled your cheeks, one he returned without notice. "Do you like it?" Was all he asked, seemingly more shy than a few seconds ago.
You stood silently, ignoring the awkward yet uncomfortable silence from the others as they waited for your response. You darted to look around the room; there were presents, decorations, food, your favorite cake flavor, and even a banner labeled as "HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/N!!" with an inaccurate yet accurate drawing of you in the corner with your silly face on.
All of this made your heart throb, imagining how long this must've taken to prepare without you knowing, all for you and you only.
How could you ever say you hated it?
A smile formed on your lips, everybody looked at you with relief as you chuckled, little tears escaping your eyes which you quickly wiped away.
"I mean, I don't know how I would ever hate it."
They all cheered, Rui looked more relaxed than anything, his shoulders which you didn't realize were once tense had calmed down.
"What are we waiting for?" Someone says, "Let's hear it for the birthday boy/girl/kid!"

You were the happiest alive, staring at your friends as they partied and handed you gifts that you excitedly opened.
There were so many things, items that came from cheap to expensive, but you loved them nonetheless.
You felt like sobbing tears of joy at this moment, but nobody would ever let you cry, definitely not on your birthday... even if it was a positive one.
You barely noticed Rui appear from the corner of your eye, only when he handed you a present by shoving it infront of your face. You stared at him from the abrupt arrival before reaching out to take it. "I have another gift!." He smiled. Sitting besides you on a chair as he eagerly waited to see your reaction.
You unwrapped the ribbon, and tore off the wrapping paper. A little box was awaiting, you flipped it open like a little door to meet face to face with the same stuffed animal you had your eyes on over at the carnival stand.
A soft gasp escaped your lips, you turned to him and watched as he looks proudly at you. When did he get time to get this?
"How?" Was all you said, grabbing the tiny thing and squeezing it excitedly. All he replied with was a: "I have my ways."
If you mean ways you mean probably learning how they rigged the game just to beat it with ease once you know what to do.
"Thank you." You smiled warmly. You were thankful for all he did for you honestly, Being your friend, organizing surprise, and now this? Your day just couldn't get any better.
And it did, the minute Rui leaned closer to you and pecked you quickly on the lips. Your eyes widened, mouth agape as he pulled back.
"Happy Birthday Y/N, again."
