"He still doesn't want to talk?" Saph asked her sister, Diamond.
"His lips are sealed. He's a hard one to crack." Sagot naman ng dalaga.
"If he won't talk then there would be so many questions left unanswered." Frustration is evident in her tone.
"You didn't tell me you joined that illegal battle." Anito kaya nakaramdam siya ng konting guilt.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to cause trouble. I had to do it." At bahagya niyang ikinuwento ang dahilan niya kung bakit siya napasok sa ganoong sitwasyon.
"And then you teamed up with Brandt and became a spy too?"
"Sort of. But he didn't inform me about the raid. I was clueless." Sagot niya.
"Well, maybe he just wanted you to act normal to evade suspicions from Cornejo."
"Maybe. But I really think that something isn't right. Something doesn't add up and it's kind of frustrating." Balik niya sa paksang gumugulo sa isipan niya.
"You don't believe that either Cornejo or Kazakova was the one behind all of it?" Tanong ni Yasi.
"I believe that Cornejo is part of it. He and Kasakova. But I don't believe that either of them was the one giving orders. I think they were just one of the puppets." Sagot naman niya.
"Whose puppets?" Tanong naman agad pabalik ng kapatid. "Weber's? But he's already dead."
"I know." Hindi talaga mapigilan ni Lux ang prustrasyon niya. "I just couldn't shake this odd feeling. I know something is off. And I don't think one of them is the last Prince of Hell, do you?" Patuloy niya.
"I don't know too, but as long as Cornejo nor Kazakova won't budge and give us any information then they'll both remain as the main culprit here." Ani Yasi.
"But I still need to know about my condition." Sabay turo niya sa ulo. "Who was controlling me all this time? And maybe there's a way to take this out without a risk? Maybe they know how? Maybe Kazakova has an idea coz he's been using Crimson Death."
Kahit tunog desperada na siya ay hindi na niya inalintana iyon. Marami siyang katanungan na gustong mabigyan ng sagot. At alam niyang ang mga bihag lamang ang makakasagot niyon.
"We'll do the best we can to extract information from them. So stop worrying, okay. Baka mas lalong makasama sa iyo iyan at matrigger pa lalo ang chip sa ulo mo." Payo sa kanya ng kapatid.
Napatango na lamang siya dahil naiintindihan niya ang pag-aalala ng kapatid. She couldn't take that risk of triggering the chip inside her head. It'll be like triggering a sleeping monster who can devour the whole world. And her sister- together with her team of agents would need to stop her if ever that happens.
"Now go home and rest coz you don't look okay." And be with your..." Sabay kindat nito sa kanya.
Alam niyang si Finnegan ang tinutukoy nito at inaasar lang siya kaya siya napailing.
"He's not here. He went back to the Philippines the other day to take care of something. His father called him." She said.
"Bakit di ka pa sumama pabalik? Paniguradong hinahanap ka na din ng mga batang napamahal na sayo."
Yes, she missed the kids too. Katatawag nga lang din niya kaninang umaga at patulog pa lamang ang mga bata dahil sa time difference. Masaya siya na maayos na ang pamumuhay ng dalawa dahil parehong pumapasok na sa paaralan at nakakakain na nang maayos araw araw.
Wala na rin daw nambubully at parehong nakakakuha ng matataas na marka kaya naman proud na proud siya sa mga ito. Finally, the kids are having a good and normal life that she once wished for her when she was the same age as them. That is why she decided to still stay away from them to not cause any danger. She doesn't want to take any risk since her condition isn't stable yet.

Saph hugged her sister tightly. She trusted her with her life and she knew that Diamond would always help her. She always stay true to her words.
Ilang saglit pa ang pinalipas niya sa headquarters ng SIATT bago siya nagpasyang umuwi. Sa flat na pagmamay-ari ni Finn siya tumutuloy at dahil wala nga ang binata roon ay nakakaramdam siya ng lungkot.
Kumakain siya ng dinner nang tumunog ang telepono niya. Akala niya ay ang kasintahan iyon ngunit ang tawag ay mula sa isang unknown number.
Pinindot niya ang answer button at inilagay sa tenga ang telepono pero nanatili siyang tahimik.
"It's me." Wika ng nasa kabilang linya.
"Nate?!" Napalakas na ang boses niya. "Where are you? Bakit ngayon ka lang kumontak? Are you okay? Were you hurt?" Sunod-sunod ang tanong niya dahil sa pag-aalala.
Magmula kasi nang mangyari ang pag-raid sa Mexico noong mga ilang araw na ang nakaraan ay hindi na niya ito nakita pa. Ni hindi niya makontak ang numero nito at wala siyang ka-ide-ideya kung saang lupalop ito nagtago at kung saan niya sisimulang hanapin. Sobra siyang nag-alala para rito dahil mahalaga ang lalaki para sa kanya.
"Relax, Little Xury, I'm fine." And then he chuckled. "It's nice to hear how much you're worrying about me. I missed you too." Pagbibiro pa nito.
"Nakuha mo pa talagang magbiro ha!" Inis niyang balik.
"I'm sorry, please don't be mad." May tono na ng paglalambing. "Like I've said, I'm okay. I'm in Brazil and I'm keeping a low profile here. The police are still after everyone who was involved in the tournament. Kahit pati yung mga natalo nang mga manlalaro ay pinaghahanap na din. Luckily, I know someone here so I asked for help. Kaya I'm sorry kung ngayon lang ako naka-contact sayo. It wasn't too safe everywhere." Paliwang nito sakanya.
Kahit naiinis siya ay nakahinga siya nang maluwag sa kaalamang ligtas ang binata. Alam niyang hindi ito basta-basta magpapahuli o susuko kaya naman mas doble ang pangamba niya para sa kaligtasan nito.
"You shouldn't have run away." Aniya.
"Pareho tayong ipinakiusap ni Brandt sa namuno sa pagraid doon sa tournament. Hindi ka nila huhulihin ng araw na iyon."
"Well, he should've said something that that day before the raid. Eh di sana wala ako dito." Sagot nito na di naman gaanong iritado ang tono. "I'm glad you're okay."
"I am." At napasandal na siya sa upuan habang nilalaro ang pagkain sa harapan gamit ang tinidor. "They've caught Cornejo and Kasakova. It turned out they both secretly operating the whole tournament. Sila pala ang nasa likod ng pagpapatuloy ng mga iligal na gawain ni Weber." At muli siyang napatuwid ng upo. "Wait, you've been with Cornejo's group these past years, right? Did you know about this? Did you have any idea of his involvement in Weber's activities?"
"I'm just a mere fighter for Cornejo's team. Nasa Pilipinas lang ang operasyon namin sa underground fighting. All I knew was that he had a connection with Weber before when he was still alive coz we always participated in the tournament. He rarely trusts anyone to share his plans, even with his best fighter- me."
"So you didn't know what he was doing with Kazakova?"
"They were rivals in the fighting world. I never thought they could be allies." Kahit ito ay di makapaniwala sa sinasabi niya.
"Well, it turns out they are working together to build up Weber's fallen syndicate. They are trying to revive and continue it. The Fighting Tournament, the Crimson Death drug, and... the Project Titan." Pagtatapos niya.
"Project what?"
"Project Titan. It was Weber's last invention before his empire went down." She paused for a second. "I was the first to undergo human trial for the said project."
"Is that the reason for your blackouts during your past fights?" Tanong nito sakanya.
"Yes. Because they put something inside my head and gained control of my mind and my whole body."
She didn't hear him utter any words but just deep breaths as if he was controlling himself.
"But don't worry anymore, now that Cornejo and Kazakova are both apprehended their wicked plans have been stopped. And SIATT organization is helping me find ways to remove this implant." Aniya na para bang mas ang sarili niya ang kinukumbinsi kaysa sa lalaki.
"Doesn't both of them know anything about how to extract that thing? Just ask them instead of waiting." Suhestiyon nito.
"The agents have been trying to get information from them but they both remained silent and won't cooperate." Kahit siya ay naiinis na din dahil wala silang mahita sa dalawang nahuli.
"Matigas yang dalawang yan at mukhang di papasindak. Baka may mga pinaplano pa kaya mag-iingat ka." Payo nito. "I got to go." Paalam nito. "I can't stay out in the open for too long. Lumabas lang ako sa lungga para humanap ng signal at matawagan ka. To let you know I'm okay and to also hear your voice. I've missed you, Xury."
"Nate, you don't need to hide anymore. You can come home-"
"Where's home, Xury?" Putol nito sa kanya. "I don't where it is coz all I know is that you are my home. Sadly, it wasn't mutual." He chuckled but it was laced with sadness. "I wish to see you again." Then he paused for a bit. "Take care of yourself, goodbye my little Xury.
Lux was about to say something but the line went dead. His last words kinda hit her coz it meant that she would never see him again. A heavy feeling in her chest popped up. It's as if she has totally lost her best friend, a brother, and the first family she ever had. She lost him and it was her fault.
At dahil kanina pa hindi maayos ang pakiramdam niya at ngayon pa nga ay nadagdagan ang bigat sa nararamdaman ay minabuti na lamang niya na maagang magpahinga.
She felt alone as she lay on the bed. She's getting emotional these past days and she hated it. Nataon pang kinailangang umuwi ng Pilipinas ang nobyo kung kaya't mas lalo niyang iniinda ang pag-iisa.
Mabilis naman siyang nakatulog at pagmulat niya ng mata ay laking gulat niya na may katabi na siya. Nakapulupot pa ang mga braso sa baywang niya na para bang ayaw siyang pakawalan.
Ramdam niya ang payapang paghinga ng katabi at kahit hindi niya nakikita ang mukha nito dahil ang likod niya ang nakasandal rito ay alam niyang mahimbing ang tulog ng kasintahan. Marahil ay madaling araw dumating at napagod sa biyahe.
Ang ipinagtataka niya ay paano nito nagawang tumabi nang hindi siya nagigising. She was never a light sleeper and her guard was always up. It was the first time that ever happened to her and it bothered her.
Ganoon ba kalala ang pagod na nararamdaman ng katawan ko para hindi magising?
Tanong niya sa isip bago dahan-dahang kumilos para bumangon. Ramdam niya ang pamimigat ng katawan niya at ang bahagyang pagkahilo ngunit hindi na niya iyon binigyan pansin pa.
Then Finn's hug became tighter and he leaned towards her neck to sniff her.
"Hey." Awat niya dahil nakiliti siya.
Talaga ngang may kakaibang nangyayari sa kanya dahil hindi naman siya ganoon kasensitibo dati.
"Just stay here for a while." Bulong sakanya ng binata. "I missed you."
She felt him plant tiny kisses on her neck which made her giggle.
"Quit it!" Awat niya habang pinipigilan ang tawa.
"Hmmmm.... may kiliti ka pala ha, akala ko wala. If I had known sooner then I would've tickled you so bad- like this." At bigla ngang nangiliti.
Napuno ng halakhak ang buong kwarto. Nang tumigil na ang binata sa kaka-kiliti sa kanya ay mas lalo niyang naramdaman ang pagkahapo.
"Akala ko babangon ka na?" Tanong ni Finn nang pagbangon nito ay hindi pa siya sumunod.
"Tinamad na ako at parang napapagod."
"Then just stay here. I'll make us some breakfast." Anito na lalabas n sana nang abutin niya ang kamay nito at pigilan.
"I'm not hungry." At nahiya nang bahagya kaya't hindi siya makatingin nang direcho. "Let's just stay here instead."
She saw how his smile widened.
"Yeah, I'm still a bit jet-lagged." At saka mabilis na pumaibabaw sakanya. "But let's do what we both want right now." Nakangisi nitong sabi.
"And what's that?" She seductively asked.
Finnegan didn't have to answer her back and just kissed her hard. And next thing that happened was their scream and moans echoed inside the room. They savored the moment and they were both very happy and contented.
Para silang mag-asawa na nasa honeymoon stage na, dahil tila ba may sarili silang mundo. Sa dalawang buong araw ay nakakulong lamang sila sa lugar na iyon at walang pakialam sa mundo sa labas. At dahil nga nahuli na ang mga may sala ay nakabawas iyon sa kanilang mga alalahanin kung kaya't wala silang iniisip kundi ang kasiyahan ng kanilang mga damdamin.
"Let's go out for dinner tonight." Aya ni Finn kay Lux.
"Why? Have you had enough of my home-cooked meals?" Tanong naman ng dalaga.
"No, and I won't get enough of it, especially with you. I'll have you for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and even in between those, plus midnight snacks as well." And kissed her while she was straddling on his lap.
They were watching TV, but not really watching coz they were busy with each other's bodies.
"Then why do you suddenly want to go out?" Lux asked and a moan escaped her lips when he sucked her neck- giving her goosebumps.
"I just want to treat you to a nice dinner, Baby." He said as he cupped her breast and held her tightly, making her feel his throbbing manhood.
"Like a date?" She asked while rocking her body to rub her sensitive part on his arousal. She's wearing a loose shirt and a panty and nothing more.
"Damn it, Baby, you're making me so horny." Anito at inangat siya nang bahagya at mabilis na ibinaba ang suot na boxers saka inililis ang suot niyang panty.

Saka siya kinintalan ng halik sa noo. "So, do you want to have a date with me, Miss Silverio?" Tanong nito sa kanya na ikinangiti niya.
"If you insist, Mr. Brandt, then yes." Sagot niya at siya na ang humalik sa mga labi nito.
They both prepared for the dinner date. Lux is wearing a simple Sapphire-colored Bodycon dress with a Queen Anne neckline that makes her look bustier. Finn gave her that dress and it looked like he already planned this date.
"That color really suits you." Bati ng nobyo sa kanya nang pasakay na sila ng sasakyan. "I really have a nice taste." Pagmamayabang pa nito.
"Ofcourse this suits me." She agreed. "It's also my favorite color."
"Yeah, just like your name- Sapphire. An elegant shade of blue."
"Tigilan mo na nga yang pambobola mo. Pumayag na nga akong makipag-date sayo diba?" Aniya na ikinahalakhak ng binata.
"Hindi kita binobola. At bakit pa kita kailangang bolahin eh akin na?" Pahabol pa nito bago pinagbuksan ng pintuan ang dalaga.
Napailing na lang si Lux sa kakulitan ng kasintahan bago sumakay. Sa isang exclusive na lugar sila pumunta. Namangha siya dahil sa ganda ng paligid. The place is made up of glass and she can see the exquisite scenery on the outside. Kita niya ang maliwang na garden area at pati na rin ang magandang tanawin ng lawa dahil nasa tabi ng lawa ang lugar.
"Do you like it?" Tanong ni Finnegan nang alalayan na siya papunta sa inihandang surpresa.
"I love it." Masayang tugon niya pagkalapit nila sa mesang nakaset-up doon. "It's so beautiful."
"I rented this whole place and it's ours tonight."
"Siguradong mahal ito." na nilingon ang lalaki. "You don't need to spend thousands of money just to impress me, Mr. Brandt. Alam mong hindi ako nakukuha sa ganoon."
"I know." And he pulled her beside him. "But I want to do this." And he caressed her face. "After all you've been through with your life, the struggles, the pain... You deserved to be pampered like this. You deserved all the wonderful things in this world."
Saph's tears pooled in the corner of her eyes. She tried to control it but she failed. She's becoming emotional these past few days.
"I don't know if I deserve any of this. With the things I've done- I shouldn't have this." She said as she shook her head. "And I will never deserve someone like you."
"We've talked about this before and I even told you about my past, about who I am, and yet you still think that we don't deserve each other?" And wiped her tears. "We are destined together, Baby. We are meant to be with each other and no one or nothing will ever break us apart. I promise!"
Pagkasabi niyon ay nakuha ang atensyon ni Lux dahil biglang nagliwanag pa lalo ang hardin na nasa labas ng glass window. Pagkatapos ay biglang may musikang pumailanlang. At nagtaka pa siya nang biglang may mga taong sumulpot roon kaya naman hindi niya napansin ang sumunod na ginawa ng nobyo.
When Saph turned to Finnegan to ask him what was happening, she saw him down on his one knee in front of her. She froze for a moment and even held her breath when he pulled out a ring from his pocket.
"Let me give you all the things you deserve. Let me love you for the rest of my life. Marry me, Luxury. Please be my wife."
She almost choked up because her emotions were now piling up. Plus, she was holding her breath for too long, and as soon as she breathed again, she instantly nodded her head and uttered the word he wanted to hear.
"Yes."
Ni hindi nila parehong pinansin ang hiyawan sa paligid dahil mas pinagtuunan nila ng pansin ang isa't isa. Pagkasuot na pagkasuot ng singsing ay kaagad silang nagyakapan. Inangat pa si Lux ni Finn at inikot ikot habang magkayakap sila sa tuwa.
"At last!" Sigaw ng isang matandang lalaki na lumapit na sa kanilang dalawa. "You finally decided to go down the aisle. This was long overdue and you're not getting any younger." Sabay tapik sa balikat ni Finnegan nang ibaba na si Lux.
"It's because I haven't found the right woman before." Sagot ni Finn na nilingon ang matandang lalaki bago muling binalingan ang nobya at saka nginitian. "But now I've found her and I will never let her go."
"That's good. Once you've found the treasure you've been looking for your entire life, you must cherish it and never lose it no matter what." Madamdaming litanya ng matandang lalaki na bahagya pang lumungkot ang mukha. "I've learned that but it was too late. I've lost her and it broke my heart."
"I know what you mean, Dad." At si Finn naman ang tumapik sa balikat ng matanda. "And I won't let that happen to me. I'll hold her hand and will never let go no matter how the world will try to break us apart. I'll fight anyone who dares to try."
"Do that, Son. Don't make the same mistake. She's your lifeline now and once you lose her, you'll lose yourself too." Na tinapik ang likod ng anak bago niyakap.
"Hey, you're being emotional, old man!" Pang-aasar ni Finn sa ama kaya naman bumitaw na sa akapan. "Baka isipin ng mapapangasawa ko na malalambot tayong mga Brandt." Pagkasabi niyon ay nilingon muli ang nobya.
Nang magtama ang paningin nila ay naintindihan agad ni Lux ang pahiwatig sa likod ng tingin na iyon sakanya ni Finn. Ayaw nitong ipahalata sa ama na may alam siya sa kwento ng kanilang pamilya. And she knew that topics about family issues were sensitive.
"Of course not!" The old man disagreed instantly. "We, Brandts, are fierce, hard, and we don't bend to anyone. We aren't soft! I'm sure my son has proved that to you, right?"
"I've proven that to her many times and she knew that I was never a softy. I'm always hard, so damn hard." Sabay kindat sa kanya na halatang may ibang ibig sabihin kaya't kinurot niya ito habang namumula ang pisngi sa hiya.
"You're making your fiancee blush." Wika ng matanda habang nakangiti na sa kanya.
"She looks cute when she blush." Ani Finn na nakangisi. "Lux, I want you to meet my father- Eagan Brandt." Pagpapakilala nito sa ama sa kanya at siya din pabalik rito. "And Dad, this is Luxury Nieves Silverio- she's the woman I love."
"Hello, Sir." Nahihiyang bati ni Saph sa ama ng kasintahan dahil hindi siya sanay sa ganoon at talagang naiilang siya kaya't halos hindi siya makapagsalita habang inilalahad ang isang kamay sa harap nito.
"It's nice to finally meet you." Then the old Brandt took her hand and shook it. "You're so beautiful, no wonder he's crazy in love with you." While pointing at his son. "I thought he was just exaggerating when he described you to me but now I believe him. You're really gorgeous." He added which made her blush more.
"Never thought I'd see you blush like this." Singit naman ni Diamond na nakalapit na din sa kinatatayuan nila. "Congratulations!" Bati nito sa kanya.
Isa ito sa mga naroon na nakasaksi sa ginawang marriage proposal ni Finnegan. Kasama nito ang nobyo nitong si Agent Tracker. Nagyakapan silang magkapatid at masaya si Saph na naroon ang kapatid sa espesyal na gabing iyon sa buhay niya. She's thankful that she's there to celebrate with them.
"You're here." Aniya pagkatapos nilang magyakapang magkapatid.
"Siyempre naman. I wouldn't miss this for the world. I'm so happy for you, Lux. You deserve this. Sabi ko na eh, baka ikaw pa ang mauna sa akin na ikasal."
"Can you get married next month, please?" Si Bricks. "So we can be next on the line. Siguro mga next year, tutal ilang buwan na lang din naman matatapos na ang taon na to."
"Are you ready to ask my hand for marriage from my two dads and my brother? Dapat alerto ka dahil siguradong maraming lilipad na matutulis na bagay papunta sayo pagnagkataon." Sabay halakhak ni Yasi.
"I've been telling you that I'm not scared and I'm ready to face them." Brickley said as he held Hyacinth's hand.
"Don't worry, Dude, I'll marry Lux, as soon as possible so you can marry your girl too." Si Finn na nakipag-fist bumb pa sa kay Tracker.
"Thanks, Dude."
"Let's continue the chat over dinner." Aya ni Eagan sa lahat.
Masaya silang nagsalo-salo at nagpatuloy sa tawanan at asaran. It was a perfect night for Sapphire. She never imagined this could happen to someone like her, not even in her wildest dream. Mas masaya siguro kung kumpleto ang mga kapatid niya at ang iba pang tao na naging mahalaga na rin sakanya gaya nina Toteng at Len-Len. Ngunit alam niyang darating din ang panahon na makakasama niya ang lahat ng mga mahahalagang tao sa buhay niya. And she couldn't wait for that day to happen.
Ilang oras pa ang lumipas sa pagkukuwentuhan nila roon hanggang sa napagpasiyahan na nilang magsi-uwi na. Nakapaskil ang di matatawarang ngiti sa parehong labi nina Lux at Finn kahit nakabalik na sila sa flat.
"So this is how it feels, huh?" Ani Finnegan pagkalabas niya ng cr galing sa paliligo.
"About what?" Kunot noong tanong ni Saph habang nagpupunas ng kanyang buhok gamit ang towel.
"The feeling of being engaged to someone you love." Nakangiting sagot nito habang nakahiga na sa kama.
"Uhuh." Sagot ni Lux at saka sumampa na rin sa kama. "I can't believe it too. I can't believe I'm engaged." At saka tiningnan pa ang singsing na nakasuot sa daliri niya.
"I can't wait to finally own you. To change your name to mine." Si Brandt na hinigit pa siya papalapit sa tabi nito bago siya siniil ng halik. "I love you."
Saph can taste the mint from his mouth and the scent of his body soap plus his after-shave cologne lingers on her nose. She can't help but feel aroused and initiates another kiss. Her level of horniness has doubled indeed.
"I love you too." Sabi niya pabalik. "I'm happy that I've met your father. He was very nice."
"Siyempre, kanino pa ba ako magmamana?" At hinalikan ang tungki ng ilong niya.
"Yeah, you're so much like him. Pareho kayong magiling mang-asar. You use your charm to get people on your side."
"Well, Brandts are like that. Kaya nga maraming humahabol sa amin, mapababae man o mga pusong babae." Mayabang nitong pagmamalaki.
Natawa siya sa kalokohan ng nobyo ngunit unti-unti ring nabura iyon nang may maalala.
"You introduced your father to me but I have no one in my life to introduce to you." Nahiya siya. "I'm sorry."
"Hey, it's okay." Pag-alo sa kanya ng binata. "It's not a problem. I don't mind at all. It's you that I want and no one else." At niyakap siya nang mahigpit.
Saph is really grateful for having a man like him, and that is why she needs to be honest with him from now on.
"I know where my mother is." She said so he pulled away from their hug.
"You do?" She got his attention.
"She's in Thailand." At saka tinitigan ang mga mata nito. "Remember the time that Nate and I went away together while you were in the Philippines?" Tanong niya na tinanguan naman nito habang nagtagis ang panga. "We paid a visit to her."
Inilahad ni Saph ang nangyari noon sa Thailand. Detalyado at wala siyang hindi isinali o binago lalo na sa mga nagawa niya roon.

Finn hugged her again and kissed the top of her head. He loves her so much and it pains him to see that she's hurting because the people who were supposed to be there for her in the first place have abandoned her.

But two hours had passed and then it became five hours then six and so on and yet Finnegan hasn't come back yet. She tried to ring his phone but it was off. She started to get worried and went out to find him but no luck. No one saw him and no one can tell her where he was. It's as if he just suddenly vanished without a trace.
