Did Bright really kill that innocent baby who was only three years old?
That was quite unbelievable and questionable.
He had expected Bright to be a heartless person but not this low to kill an innocent baby.
After all, who even in their right state of mind kills their own child?
Though Max had his own suspicions about this baby actually not being bright's, still he couldn't quite pinpoint why Bright would stoop so low to kill an innocent baby.
In the middle of both their thoughts, suddenly they heard some shuffling noise coming from above.
The entire house was filled with only silence except for those small sound of footsteps that seemed to be coming downwards.
Max seemed confused at that while Zee removed his hands from his face and stared directly towards the direction of the stairs,
he could barely see clearly with tears still coating his vision, making everything seem blurry.
Coming down the stairs, it was a baby boy. A toddler to be exact.
Zee held his breath and watched the toddler slowly trying to descend down the stairs with careful steps.
His legs were too small but he still managed to descend down them carefully, holding a cute bunny plushie in his arms.
Zee felt like he was frozen on his spot while Max also seemed to be in a similar condition, disbelief written all over his face to see a literal baby being upstairs all along while they were down here fighting and screaming their lunges off.
They were too shocked to move a single muscle and say anything.
This is.......
Nu's baby.
Both of them thought at the same time.
Something about the baby's appearance...
(l thought of putting a zee's toddler pic as sky... please consider it☝️✌️)
made Zee's breath hitch and he couldn't help but just stare, his heart beat quickening at an abnormal pace.
Why did the baby look so similar to.......
(Sky)
The baby seemed clueless about these two new people at his house as he glanced at Zee and then Max , and then back at Zee again.
His eyebrows furrowed in confusion cutely as he seemed to be contemplating something, clutching the bunny plushie tightly in his hands.
Zee gulped as the baby toddled towards him after a minute of pondering.
Since Zee was still sitting on the floor, the baby easily climbed on top of his lap and hugged him, wrapping his small arms around him adorably and placing his head on top of Zee's loudly beating chest.
Zee felt his heart skip a beat at that gesture, a feeling of affection suddenly spreading inside his chest that he had never ever felt before for anyone except for Nu.
He hesitantly hugged the baby back, rubbing it's back comfortingly and looked towards Max's direction, as if asking for help.
Max just shrugged.
He was equally shocked and bewildered by the baby's gesture.
But there was a look of recognition in the keen eyes of the detective as he stared at the baby's face and then at Zee's, the gears turning inside his head.
They look the same.
Max concluded, staring at the scene in front of him.
Zee seemed to catch on what Max was thinking too as he pulled the baby back and stared at the little one's adorable face.
The baby-
Sky's pure eyes stared back at zee's own teary eyes in wonder, the baby was too adorable to describe.
Zee couldn't help but see the similarities in their faces.
The same nose, same eyes, same lips, same cheekbone, even the baby's hair color was the same as his.
There was no denying it.
Sky looked exactly like himself.
He looked like the mini version of Zee pruk.
Zee didn't know what he had done in his past life to deserve this happiness.
His chest felt like it was swelling with thousands of butterflies and warmth.
He exhaled a breath of relief to realize the baby was perfectly fine and alive.
Tears of happiness streamed down Zee's eyes profusely.
The big realization hitting him so hard, he had an epiphany.
This baby was not only Nu's but also his.
Both his and Nu's child.
Zee remembered the day Nu had left him four years ago.
A few days before Nu left, the younger had been acting a little weird, he seemed somewhat distant.
