We've just landed in Belgium. The boys were preoccupied signing some things from fans who waited outside the hotel for their arrival. Meanwhile, Raegan and I are in line at Starbucks.

Things between us have been SO much better since our talk.

"You will love Spa, Li. The atmosphere is so nice and it's such a nice track." Raegan has been raving to me about Spa since I told her I'm coming. It definitely seems to be one of her favourites.

Her enthusiasm has made me so excited as well.

We had ordered our coffees when Carlos and Lando approached us.

"Have you ordered me some coffee as well, mi linda?" Carlos's mouth is so close to my ear, sending shivers down my spine at the sound of his husky voice.

I only just about manage to nod my head.

Lando and Rae are having some kind of talk as well, while I just lean my body into Carlos'.

It's almost 10pm. The boys had scheduled the flight for later than usual because Raegan and I helped Flora prepare some last bits for the next few days. We can't even describe how grateful we are for her.

After we got our coffee, we made our way to the car which was waiting for us. The boys help the driver by placing all our bags in the car before we drive off.

The car ride took almost an hour and I struggled to stay awake whilst being cuddled into Carlos. Raegan on the other hand couldn't stop talking. It's as if she and Lando don't living together, except they see each other every day, and still she always has something to say.

Carlos caresses my arm throughout the whole car journey which makes me even more tired. I can't wait to get into bed.

Just after 11 pm, our car stops in front of the hotel we are staying at.

"Girls, why don't you wait in the bar for us? We will come down after we check in." Lando places a soft kiss on Raegan's temple before she links my arm and leads me to the bar.

We decided earlier that we were going to have a drink at the bar to start the last weekend before the summer break, just the four of us, but I can barely keep my eyes open.

This whole idea came about because Raegan and Lando are leaving for Ibiza almost right after the party in Monaco on Sunday, and Carlos and I will be leaving for Madrid shortly after that as well. Which means we won't be seeing each other for a while.

Apparently, it is a tradition that everyone parties together in Monaco after the last race before the summer break.

I am so excited to spend a part of my summer with Carlos visiting his family. Even though I'm also terrified, yes, Carlos said they will love me but you never know.

"Are you excited for summer?" I look at my best friend who had just ordered our drinks.

She nods with excitement. "I can't wait. Spending almost four weeks with my boyfriend non-stop is what I need."

We continue talking about our plans for the summer. She knows I'm only away with Carlos for about 9 days before I have to go back to take over the bakery because it'll be Flora's turn to go on holiday as well.

Right when the bartender sets our glasses in front of us we hear a cough behind us. We turn around in sync on our chairs.

Approaching us fro behind are Lando, Carlos and ... Charles.

I try not to look too annoyed at the sight of Charles Leclerc. Carlos sits down next to me but I can't seem to keep my eyes off of Charles.

He looks different compared to the last time I saw him. Not that I spend that much time looking at him ... but the look on his face shows me emotions that I'm not able to put into place.

Rae nudges my side causing me to tear away my gaze from him. Now looking over at her and Lando. Lando is giving me an apologetic look.

Charles hasn't even said a word, he just sat down next to Lando. Rude as ever.

After the boys got their drinks, we all fell into an awkward silence. No one really knew what to say. I can sense how uncomfortable my best friend and her boyfriend are with the current situation.

They both know what happened between me and Charles, and after my fight with Raegan, I think it's understandable that I don't want to communicate with Charles in anyway for the sake of mine and her friendship.

Carlos on the other hand is completely clueless about the situation and thinks it's a good moment to start a conversation with Charles.

"So, Charles, are you travelling without Amelie this weekend or is she going to join you later?" Carlos leans forward to have a look at Charles from the other side of the bar.

I was just taking a sip from my drink when he dropped the question, causing me to almost choke.

He wasn't speaking too loud so deep down I was hoping he didn't hear the question. But whilst carefully looking at my best friend, I can see by the look on her face that he must have heard the question.

"No, she won't be joining me," he answers with a low voice.

Thank god, I don't think I could have handled her this weekend again. I was ready to move the conversation in another direction, but forgetting that Carlos is the nosiest person on this planet, he won't let this topic drop easily.

When you think Lando is bad, Carlos could probably beat him for P1.

"Oh, why's that? Is she busy?"

My eyes are glued to the wall, I just don't want to look at anyone. This is making me so uncomfortable.

"No, I don't know what she is doing actually. We broke up after Silverstone."

This sentence caught my attention and I'm now looking at him. Well not just my attention, we are all now staring at him.

His eyes glued to the glass of whiskey in front of him.

That's the different look I saw on his face. He looked sad. Immediately my hate for him decreased a little bit. I always have a soft spot for people feeling sad.

Break-ups suck and as much as I hate him right now, I'm not ice cold.

Lando is the first one to break the silence. "I'm sorry mate." He pats his friend on the back. Charles nods his head.

After that, it seemed everyone lost the motivation to continue with the night. To be fair the clock had already struck midnight, I don't know how I am still holding on.

"We should go to bed. It's late and we have to get up early tomorrow." Lando looks at us hoping we would agree with him.

All of us agree nodding our heads. I down the rest of my drink before I take Carlos' hand and we make our way to the elevators with the rest of the group. Luckily, our suitcases were already brought upstairs to the rooms.

Lando and Rae's room is on a different floor than ours. Before she leaves the elevator she pulls me into a hug saying good night to me.

The rest of the elevator ride is spent in silence. Carlos, Charles and I get off on the same floor. Just as we approach our room Carlos gets a call.

"Lando already missing me?" He jokes. Sometimes Raegan and I are convinced that we just cover their secret relationship.

Carlos rolls his eyes before he hangs up. "They left our luggage in their room as well. I'm going to go down there." He places a quick kiss on my lips before he turns around and leaves.

As soon as he is out of sight I can see out of the corner of my eye that Charles turns his body to me.

"Well..." Charles starts but stops as soon as I look at him kind of annoyed. Why will he not just leave me alone? Isn't he tired?

"What do you want, Charles? Haven't you done enough already?"

"I..."

I lift my brow at him. Waiting for what he has to say.

"Never mind, I'm sorry. I'll leave you alone. Good night Liana."

I meet his eyes again. I see the same expression in his eyes which I noticed earlier. Now I'm one hundred percent certain that it is sadness and I immediately feel bad for snapping at him before.

He is almost at his door when I open my mouth to say something.

"I'm sorry, Charles."

His face changes from sad to confused. Probably not expecting me to say that.

"What? What are you sorry about?"

Yeah, Liana, what am I sorry about? Am I sorry for sleeping with him? Probably. Am I sorry for leaving that morning? No, not at all! Am I sorry for being horrible to him the last month? To be honest I don't feel sorry for being a bitch, okay maybe a little but he has not been much better himself. What am I sorry for then?

I decided to go with the safest option.

"I'm sorry that you and Amelie broke up." Am I really though?

His eyes widen in surprise. But he quickly catches himself and just shrugs his shoulders. "It wasn't working for a long time. So I guess it's okay." With that, he turns around and opens the door to his room.

Before closing the door completely he turns around once more.

"Sleep well, Liana. See you around."

His door closes just as the elevator door opens with a 'ping' and Carlos steps in the hallway carrying our suitcases.

Carlos looks at me amused.

"Hermosa, why are you still standing here?"

I shrug my shoulder, take my suitcase from him, and follow Carlos into our room. Finally ready to get into bed.

Why can I not stop thinking about the look on Charles's face though?
