"How could she be so stupid?"

"Katherine!"

"Ther had to be another way!" she exclaimed.

"There wasn't. The Apprentice said it was looking for it's other half, the part of the Dark One's magic that flows through you. She saved your life" Mary Margaret said.

"You don't think I know that?!" Katherine shouted. "My father? Where is he?

"He's in his shop, but-"

Before any of them could say anything, Katherine disappeared into a cloud of smoke.

When she arrived at his shop, she stormed into the back to find him lying unconscious on a cot with Belle tending to him.

"What happened to him?" she asked.

"His heart," Belle said. "It was turning completely black, he almost died."

Katherine walked up to him, shocking Belle as she pulled his heart out of his chest. "What are you doing?!" Belle shouted.

"What the hell is this?!" Katherine shouted, looking at the pristine white heart she was holding in his hand.

Belle turned as a poof of smoke appeared and Regina and Killian appeared behind her.

"Katherine, don't do this," Killian said, slowly walking up to her.

"Why not? Look at his heart. Why the hell should he get this fresh start? Get to wipe away every bad thing he's done while Emma has to pay the price. The price that was supposed to be mine to pay!" she exclaimed.

"I know you're upset. But killing him won't bring Emma back" Regina said.

"No, but it'll make me feel better," she said, as she began to squeeze.

"Stop," Killian said, taking her hand. "You know as well I do it won't make you feel better. Revenge never does."

"You spent centuries trying to kill my father, why do you care now? Look at everything he's done! This was supposed to be our day and he still finds a way to ruin it" she said.

"He only ruins it if we let him. Because despite everything's that happened, today was still the greatest day of my life. And you're right, I have spent centuries trying to kill him but the only reason I stopped was because of you. You gave me something greater than vengence. I don't want you to go down the same path I was once" he said.

Katherine turned and glared at her father before roughly shoving his heart back into his chest. Leaning down next to him, she whispered in his ear.

"I don't know if you can hear me, but I hope you can. You better hope that I can fix it. If not, pray you don't wake up because I will make sure you're death is anything but peaceful."

"Hey, Dumbledore, the darkness took Emma. Where did they go?" Katherine asked.

"She is now where all darkness is born. In your realm" the Apprentice said.

"Then take us there," she said.

"I am too weak now. But this" the apprentice said, holding out his hand as a wand appeared, "will help. It is a gift from the Sorcerer, from Merlin. On the day I became his apprentice. In it is all the light magic."

"It can take us to our daughter?" Mary Margaret asked.

"Not on its own. In order to cross realms, it must be weiled as it was forged. With both sides of the coin, the light and the dark" the apprentice said, croaking out his last words as the wand fell to the ground and he went still.

"Well that's definelty not me" Katherine sighed, not thinking she ever had it in her to go light.

"Guess that's my cue," Regina said, as she picked up the wand. Holding it up to the sky, she waved it around, summoning a portal.

But nothing happened. With a groan, she tried again, but it was useless.

"Mother, it's not working" Katherine sighed.

"I know what I'm doing," Regina said.

"Apparently not. He said we need someone who's been both light and dark and let's face it, darkness isn't something you've no longer got in droves" Katherine said.

"Then who do you suggest? Because seconds ago, you were about to kill your unconscious father so I don't think we can count on you for light" Regina said.

"No. Not me. I think we're gonna need someone wicked."

Walking into the cell Zelena was being kept in, Regina couldn't be more annoyed that they needed her to open the portal. Sat on the bed with her eyes closed Zelena smirked as they walked in.

"Regina, dear, I'm trying to meditate. It's good for the baby. Please go. You're ruining my chi" she said.

"We need your help," Katherine said, quickly getting Zelena's attention as she stood up and laughed.

"Wow. You must be really desperate" she said, walking over to Robin. "Unless, of course, someome was just looking for an excuse to come and see me."

"Careful," Regina said, pulling Zelena away.

"What is it then?" Zelena asked.

"Something's happened to Emma," Robin said.

"She's the new Dark One. We need to open a portal to get to her" Katherine told her.

"Oh, wow. Well, that is quite a mess" she said.

"Help us. We can rid the world of this darkness once and for all. Don't you want that for our child?" Robin asked.

"My child. And mine alone. I'm doing all the work. You were just an unwilling pawn in its creation" Zelena said.

"Quite unwilling" Robin snapped.

"If it makes you feel any better I didn't enjoy it. You know, I'm not sure what you see in him" Zelena smirked, looking at Regina.

"You know, you can still deliver a baby without a tongue" Regina smiled.

"Enough! Jesus, save it for Jerry Springer, I'm sure this would make the most thrilling episode. Are you gonna find us Emma or not?" Katherine asked.

"Of course" Zelena shrugged.

Regina looked at her, surprised. "What?"

"Well, pregnacy has changed me, dear. I'm going to do whatever I can to free Emma of the darkness. Just let me see that wand" she said.

Regina was still unsure of her willingness to help.

"Don't worry, this little love bracelet you put on me neutralizes my magic. I am powerless" Zelena said.

Regina sighed, knowing they didn't have much of a choice, and handed her the wand. Taking in, Zelena chuckled as she held it in her hands.

"Ah, yes, so simple. You simply need an object that guides the portal to its destination. Something that belonged to Emma, something meaningful to her" Zelena said.

"Fine," Regina said as she took the want. "That we can do."

"No you can't," Zelena said. "Well, your magic isn't powerful enough."

"Can you make it work?" Katherine asked.

"I believe so. There's just a teeny something standing in my way" Zelena chuckled, holding up her wrist to show them the bracelet stopping her from using magic.

"Never" Regina sneered before leaving with Robin.

"Wow," Zelena sighed. "Well, she really holds a grudge doesn't she. Yeah, you should talk to her. Because I may be your only way to find Emma"

─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

Katherine walked onto the Jolly Roger where she found Killian waiting for her.

"What happened? Did you talk to Zelena?" he asked.

"Yes, but of course she can't help us with that cuff on her wrist and my mother refuses to let it off" she sighed.

"Maybe, that's a good thing. You know she can't be trusted" he said.

"I know but she's the only one who can use the wand to get us to Emma. And this all my fault. I have to find her" Katherine said.

"This is not you're fault. No one thinks it is. I know how badly you want to save Emma but you have to be careful" he said.

Katherine sighed, leaning against the railing of the deck. Getting an idea she turned to Killian with a smile on her face.

"What?" he asked, wary of whatever plan she was coming up with.

"I just got an idea on how to make Zelena help us," she said.

"How?"

"I'm gonna need you to do something for me," she told him.

"For you. Anything" he said.

"You might regret saying that," Katherine said, before taking a small knife from him that he usually kept on his waistband. "And I might need to borrow this."

Walking into the bottom level of the hospital where Zelena was being kept, Katherine used her magic to knock out the woman sitting at the nurse's station. Taking the keys, she walked down the hall to Zelena's room before pushing the door open.

Zelena was sitting on the bed, leaning up against the wall. "What do you want?" she sighed.

"I want your help with the wand," Katherine told her.

"Ah, so this is a rogue mission," Zelena said, as she stood up and held up her wrist. "I like it. Go ahead. Take it off."

"Well, I'm gonna need some assurances first. That you're not gonna do anything unexpected" she said.

"On my unborn child's life," she said, rubbing her stomach.

Katherine let out a small laugh. "As if that means something to me," she said, going to rip out her heart but was met with a powerful spell that sent her flying back into the wall.

Zelena laughed as she looked at her on the floor. "As my neice, you should know more than anyone that a heart is a precious thing and I cast a protection spell on mine eons ago. So you're gonna have to do better than that" she said, before taking the blade Katherine took from Killian.

"Now. Do you want to see something really painful?" she asked, slicing off her own hand.

"What the..." Katherine watched as the cuff fell off but there was no blood. Zelena picked up her hand and reattached it like it was nothing.

"There. Much better" she said, smiling as she felt her magic coming back. "You shoud've listened to your mother."

─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

"You let her out?!" Regina shouted.

"Technically, I let her escape," Katherine said.

"What were you thinking?!" Regina exclaimed.

"Relax, mother. I have a plan" Katherine sighed.

"Which is?" Regina asked.

"Give me the wand," Katherine said, holding out her hand.

"Why? You can't use it" Regina said.

"I know that. But will you just please trust that I know what I'm doing?" she asked.

With a sigh, Regina handed over the wand. "So what's this plan of yours?" she asked.

Hearing her phone beep, Katherine pulled it out and smirked. "Let's go. I'll show you."

─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

"Ah. So you got my message" Zelena said, using her magic to hold Killian by the throat, unable to move. "I see you fixed the clock. It would be a shame to break it again."

"You lay another hand on him-"

"Oh, I'm not here to hurt the pirate. I'm here to trade him. For the Apprentice's wand," Zelena said.

"What do you want with the wand?" Regina asked.

"I'm tired of losing to you. You continue to get everything! But now? Now I have someone to love me. And only me. See, this is my future, and I am not letting anyone take it from me or turn it agaisnt me. So, I am going as far away from you and Robin as possible. Over the rainbow. Where you can't follow" Zelena said.

"Back to Oz?" Katherine asked.

"I may have been feared and despised there, but as least I was free. At least I was in control. So unless you want to be a widow you will give me that wand" Zelena said.

"Don't even think about it" David said.

"You can't, Katherine. Please" Mary Margaret said.

"I have to," Katherine said, handing over the wand. Zelena let Killian go as Katherine pulled him toward her.

"Lovely. Now, all it needs is a little direction. A trinket from home" Zelena said, holding up a necklace. "Now see me do what you weren't powerful enough to do yourself."

Twirling the wand around the necklace, Zelena smirked as it glowed bright green before she turned and tossed it into the air and blasted it with the wand. Everyone watched as a bright green twister formed on the edge of town.

Seeing Zelena falter for a second, Katherine ran open and slapped on another bracelet, cutting off her magic.

"What the hell was that?" Regina asked.

"My plan" Katherine smiled as she walked up to Zelena. "I knew you could open the portal but I also knew you it would weaken you. So would you look at that. Dark still beats wicked. Now we're gonna take your portal but we're not going to Oz. We're taking it to Emma."
