10. Nostalgia's A Bitch
Aria laid in her and Damon's shared bed, staring at the ceiling, she was pulled out of her thoughts when her phone started ringing, grabbing it from the side table, Aria saw Caroline calling her.
"Morning" Aria greeted.
"That was the most depressing morning I have heard, ever" Caroline said, in her car driving somewhere, "What are you doing?".
"Well, usually by now I'd be running around the triplets but since they're at Rebekah's with your children, I'm currently left alone with my thoughts" Aria replied, "Which by the way are starting to go in a very dangerous territory".
Caroline sighed, "You're still thinking about Damon and Kol, huh?".
"Like I always I do" Aria said.
"Which means you're not ready for our weekly sisters breakfast at the Grill" Caroline realised.
"Nope" Aria confirmed, "I am not getting out of this bed today, if I get out then I'll have to accept that Kol is a ripper again and that he turned Miss Mystic Falls into a vampire and that my bracelet did nothing to bring Damon back to me, and honestly, I deserve one peaceful day without any trouble, so sorry Care, but you're having breakfast on your own today".
Caroline parked her car outside the boarding house and got out, "Yeah, after yesterday's debacle I figured this would happen, which is why we're having breakfast in bed today, you like your eggs poached, right?".
Because of her vampire hearing Aria heard the boarding house's front door open and then close, immediately causing Aria to let out a amused chuckle, "You're seriously here right now?".
"We're not breaking our tradition Aria" Caroline stated, going to walk into the kitchen but before she did, her eyes landed in the living room, where Damon sat like a statue, "Damon?".
Hearing her soulmate's name come out of her sister's mouth, immediately caused a confused Aria to sit up in her bed, "Did you just say Damon's name?".
A confused Caroline walked over to Damon, she waved her hand infront of his face but he gave no responsive.
"Aria, get down here, now" a concerned Caroline demanded.

A concerned Aria looked at Damon, "What the hell happened to him?".
"I'm guessing Sybil happened" Caroline said, "But the real question is what did she do to his brain this time?".
Aria looked at Caroline, an idea forming her head, "We can find out what's wrong with Damon by going inside his head".
Caroline nodded her head, both the sister then held each other's hand and placed their other hand on Damon's shoulders, they then closed their eyes and proceeded to jump into Damon's head, as soon as the two entered Damon's head they were shocked seeing Damon on fire while yelling in immense pain, Aria and Caroline gasped in shock and quickly took a step back from Damon.
"What the hell was that?" an extremely worried Aria asked.
"I don't know" an equally worried Caroline replied, "It was just fire and pain".
"That must be what Damon's feeling right now" Aria realised, she then looked at Damon, just as a tear slid down his face, "He's hurting, Care" an emotional Aria whispered, hating seeing Damon in this state.
Caroline looked at Damon in concern, just like Aria she wanted to help Damon, but neither of them how to, suddenly a humming sound reached Caroline's ears.
"Wait, do you hear that?" a confused Caroline asked, pushing her hair behind her ear and focusing her earing on the humming.
Aria looked at her sister in confusion, but nonetheless did the same and through her super hearing she heard the familiar sound of a certain siren.
"It's Sybil" a shocked Aria whispered, "She's in our basement".
Without wasting a second, the two sisters quickly used their vampire speed to rush towards the basement cellar, as soon as they reached the door, the peeked in and realised their suspicion was right, Sybil was chained up in the Salvatore's cellar.
Seeing the two sisters, Sybil gave them a mock wave.
"Well, looks like you have a rat in the cellar, Aria" Caroline taunted, opening the cellar door.
"Are you annoyed?" Sybil asked Caroline, as Aria and Caroline walked into the room, "I always thought that was just your resting face, let me guess, Damon's not feeling well".
"What did you do to him, Sybil?" a furious Aria asked.
"I gave him what you and Damon both wanted, Aria" Sybil informed, "I gave him your memories back, alongside flipping his little humanity switch back on".
"Then why is he a zombie?" a confused Caroline asked.
"Well, I guess his mind couldn't handle all those memories and feelings rushing in all at once" Sybil replied, "But don't worry, I can fix him, as long as I get what I want".
"You're not getting out of this cell Sybil" Aria stated, glaring at the siren, "Me and my sister don't feel like having our heads messed with today".
"That's the beauty of it, you don't have a choice" Sybil retorted, "Pay the price or prepare to have a catatonic husband at your wedding, Aria, if you two are still getting married, that is, I know it's looking a little bleak".
"What do you want?" Caroline asked, stopping Sybil's nonsense after seeing the look on her sister's face, letting her know she was very close to snapping.

Dorian sat at the armory, reading more about Cade and the siren's when his phone started ringing, picking it up, he realised Aria was calling him.
"Hey, Aria" Dorian greeted, answering Aria's call.
"Hey, Dorian" Aria greeted, standing outside the cellar door, "Listen, I'm just going to get straight to the point, I need the bell, you still have it at the armory, right?".
"Nope" Dorian replied, "Peter Maxwell took it out of town to hide it somewhere the sirens can't reach it, why do you suddenly want the bell?".
"I don't want the bell, Sybil does" Aria replied, "And I'm going to give it to her".
"What?" a shocked Dorian asked, "Aria, that is a crazy move".
"Trust me, I know, but I have no other choice, Sybil did something to Damon, she basically fried his brain and she's the only one who can fix him, and she's asking for the bell in return for Damon's sanity" Aria informed.
"You realise if Sybil gets the bell, we might never be able to kill her, right?" Dorian asked.
Aria sighed, "Dorian, I can't think about all that right now, I know what I'm doing is going to cause us a lot of problem, but it's Damon, he's suffering and I can't let him stay like this".
"Damn, Sybil really knew where to hit you" Dorian said, "She knew if she harmed Damon you would do anything she asked of you in return for Damon's safety".
"Damon is my weakness" Aria admitted, "But his also my strength, I need him by my side Dorian, my kids need him, without him, we're going to fall apart, I'm going to fall apart".
"And we can't have the one person keeping all of us together fall apart, can we now?" Dorian said, "I'll get you that bell Aria, maybe once Damon is back in the picture, together both of you will finally find a way to end these sirens once and for all".
"Maybe that's the problem" Aria whispered, "All this time, me and Damon have been fighting the sirens separately, maybe in order to defeat them, we need to be together".

"You weren't kidding, it's all fire and brimstone in here" a free Sybil said, her eyes closed and her hands on either side of Damon's head, "This is gonna be a lot more complicated than I thought", Sybil removed her hands from Damon's head and turned to the two sisters, "Okay, here's the deal, consciously, Damon believes that he is in hell".
"What?" a shocked Caroline asked.
"For some reason, Damon thinks that's where he belongs" Sybil continued.
"Well, how do we change his mind?" a curious Caroline asked.
"Well, that's a question only Damon can answer" Sybil replied, she turned to Aria, "And you're the only one who get him to answer, after all, you're his humanity, so I suggest you go in there and ask him yourself, once you figure out what's holding him back, I should be able to repair the damage".
"Slight problem with that" Aria said, "Last time we tried going into his head, didn't really turn up in our favor".
"Yeah, that's cause you went through the front door" Sybil said, "But lucky for you, I can get you in through the back, into his subconscious", Sybil walked behind Damon, she then looked at Aria, "All right Aria, grab on".
Aria looked at Caroline, who nodded her head, "You're the only who can do this Aria" she said.
Aria turned back to look at her catatonic soulmate, after taking a deep breath, she took a step forward and placed both her hands into Damon's, both her and Sybil closed their eyes and suddenly Aria was transported into Damon's mind.
Aria opened her eyes and realised she was standing outside the Salvatore Boarding House, a confused Aria stepped forward and opened the front and entered the boarding house, while keeping an eye for her soulmate, as she walked further in, she was confused see a man she has never seen before standing in the hallway.
"Good morning, welcome to the Salvatore Boarding House, do you have a reservation?".
Aria looked at the name tag the man was wearing and realised his name was Henry, a name that was familiar to Aria, she had heard about Henry from Damon, "I'm not really sure Henry, do I require a reservation?".
"I'm afraid so, the house is at maximum occupancy" Henry informed.
"Look, I'm not here to say, I'm actually here looking for someone" Aria clarified, "Damon Salvatore, have you seen him anywhere?".
"Yes I have" Henry replied.
"Where?" an eager Aria asked.
"Right behind you" Henry replied, pointing behind Aria.
Aria quickly turned around, and to her disappointment she wasn't met with the actual Damon, she was met with a portrait of Damon in his solider attire.
"Mr. Salvatore was a bit of a hero during the war" Henry informed.
"Yeah, trust me, I know all about Mr. Salvatore's history" Aria said, "What I need right now, is to see him, so where is he?".
"You do understand I meant the civil war" Henry clarified.
"I know who you are Henry" a frustrated Aria said, "Damon told me about you, he saved your life during the war, so now tell me, where he is so I can save his".
"I'm going to have to ask you to leave" an annoyed Henry said, "Now!".
And suddenly Aria was pushed out of Damon's head, "God dammit!".
"What was that about?" a confused Sybil asked.
"Did it work?" Caroline asked.
"Nope" Aria replied.
"What did Damon say?" a curious Sybil asked.
"He didn't say anything, because I never got to meet him" Aria snapped.
"That's impossible, it's his mind" Sybil reminded.
"You're the one who did this to him" Caroline snapped, "So un-impossible it, fast".
"Believe me, I'm trying, but if Aria can't find Damon then there is nothing I can do" Sybil stated.
"May I offer some help?".
Aria and Caroline turned around and saw Kol standing behind them.
"Pardon my manners, but I just couldn't help eavesdrop on this very interesting conversation" Kol said.
"Kol" Aria whispered, a part of her happy seeing the original, while the other part wondered what chaos was he going to create this time.
"Hello, darling" Kol greeted.
"What are you doing here?" a confused Aria asked.
"I made a mistake" Kol admitted, "I should have never left you and the triplets", suddenly a hopeful expression came on Aria's face, wondering if Kol was back, but that hopeful expression change the minute Kol's sinister smirk was back on his face, "Just kidding, Ri" he said, making Sybil chuckle and Aria and Caroline glare at him, "The real reason I'm here is that last night, when you temporarily killed me, Cade and I had a little chat, and it turns out hell needs a lot more souls then I'm currently giving it, which means it's time for Damon to finally step up and do his part, so chop chop Ri, wake your soulmate up".
"Don't you think I'm trying, Kol?!" an annoyed Aria asked.
"You're not trying Ri, you're failing" Kol corrected, "You realise what's happening right, since his humanity is back on, Damon Salvatore is doing what he always does, running away from the problem and hiding till the problem is no longer a problem, so just go back into his messed up mind and find out where's hiding this time from his problems", Kol then looked at the siren, "Also, why are you helping Aria bring Damon back? I thought you hated her".
"I need the Maxwell Bell before my sister uses it against me" Sybil informed, "So I'm willing to play ball with whoever can deliver it".
"Well, I will see what I can do about that" Kol said, he then looked at Aria, "In meantime, do what you're good at Aria, fix the emotional wreck that is Damon Salvatore".
"All right, you heard the man" Sybil said, as Kol walked out the room.
Aria sighed, she turned back to Damon and held his hand and once again was transported into his head, this time she was transported at the Grill.
Aria looked towards the bar, expecting to see Damon but to her worry he wasn't here.
"If you're not at your favorite bar, then where are you Damon? Where am I meant to find you?" Aria wondered, suddenly her eyes landed on the newspaper stack placed beside the front door, the headline talking about a couple getting attacked by an animal, Aria picked the newspaper and looked at the faces of the victims, she knew who they were, they were Damon's first kill when he came back to Mystic Falls, "At least this proves you're here somewhere Damon, I'm in your subconscious, it's means everything that happens here, it happens because of you, just like this attack, now all I have to do is follow the clues you've unintentionally left behind for me".
"Hey, Aria".
A shocked Aria turned around after hearing a familiar voice of someone she never thought would come face to face with again, "Vicki Donovan?" a shocked Aria said.
"Yeah, Aria Connor" a confused Vicki confirmed, "Last time I checked, that's my name, are you here for lunch? Follow me".
As Vicki walked away, Aria realised something, Vicki had a bandage covering her neck, the same spot Damon had bit her the first.
"Follow the clues, Aria" Aria mumbled to herself, before following Vicki, "Just follow the clues".

"What are you up to Damon?" a confused Aria mumbled, sitting on a table at the Mystic Grill while keeping an eye on Vicki, "Why have someone you killed alive in your mind?".
Seeing Vicki grab her and coat, Aria realised she was getting ready to leave so without wasting anytime Aria stood up from her seat and followed after the oldest Donovan.
"Hey Vicki!" Aria called out, rushing after Vicki who was walking over to her car.
"What's going on, Connor?" a confused Vicki asked, "You need more ketchup? I'm off the clock".
"Have you by any chance seen Damon Salvatore anywhere around here?" Aria asked.
"No, got to go" Vicki replied.
"Are you hundred percent sure?" Aria asked, stopping Vicki from walking away, "I mean, are you sure he wasn't the reason you have that massive bandage on your neck?".
"Okay, now you're officially pissing me off, so why don't you just come out and say what you really want to say" an annoyed Vicki said.
"I didn't mean to piss you off Vicki, I just thought--".
Suddenly Vicki ripped the bandage off her neck, "There" she said, revealing a hickey on her neck, "You happy?".
"Is that a--?".
"A hickey?" Vicki finished, "Yeah, so slut-shame me all you want but this didn't come from Damon Salvatore, I've never even heard that name in my life".
Done with the conversation, Vicki got into her car and drove away while Aria stood there in confusion, she didn't know what to do now.

After much thinking, Aria realised there was only one person who could help her, which is why Aria was currently standing on the Bennett's porch, after taking a deep breath, a nervous Aria knocked on the Bennett door, hoping if Vicki was alive in Damon's mind then so was Grams.
But the person who opened the front door wasn't Grams, "Hey baby".
Aria stared at the woman infront of her in shock, "Mom?".
Amelia Connor gave her daughter a smile, "Yeah Aria, it's me, your mother".
A overjoyed Aria lunged forward and hugged her mom tightly, "I wasn't expecting you here" she admitted, after breaking the hug, "I was expecting Grams, but seeing you here--I'm so happy mom".
"Aria, why are you crying?" a concerned Amelia asked, wiping the tears that had fallen from Aria's eyes.
Aria nodded her head, a huge smile on her face, "Trust me mom, I'm more than okay, but wait, why are you here? Where's Grams?".
"Sheila has gone for a seminar at Whitmore for two days, I'm here making sure her plants don't die in her absence" Amelia informed, "I swear, I told you this".
"Well, I do have tendency to forget things" a sheepish Aria said.
Amelia chuckled, "Yes you do".
Aria smiled at mom, "Um mom, so since Grams isn't here, I was hoping if you could help me".
Amelia stepped aside, "Well come in and tell your mother your troubles, I'll try my best to ease your mind".
Aria nodded her head and took a step inside the Bennett house, she knew this Amelia Connor wasn't her real mother, her real mother was dead but despite that Aria couldn't help but hope that her mother will guide her on how to save her soulmate from his own mind.

"Here" Amelia said, handing Aria a cup of tea, "This should help calm your mind down, now, what is it that you need my help with?".
Aria sighed, "Mom, I'm in love with someone" she admitted, making her mom look at her wide eyed.
"What?" a shocked Amelia asked, "Who?".
"That's a long story and I'm sorry for not telling you earlier but right now I don't have the time to tell you the full story" Aria said, "He's in trouble mom, and I want to help him but I don't know, I was wondering if you could do a locator spell for me?".
"And what is the name of this boy who has my little girl smitten?" a curious Amelia asked.
"Damon Salvatore" Aria replied.
"Never heard that name before" Amelia admitted, "But I do know a Stefan Salvatore".
"Damon is Stefan's older brother" Aria informed.
"You fell in love with a vampire?" a shocked Amelia asked, "Are you trying to kill me?".
"First of all, don't talk about death" Aria warned, "Second of all, yes Damon is a vampire, but mom, he's made me the happiest I've ever been, I'm so close to mine and Damon's happily ever after, but if I can't find Damon, then there is no happily ever after, there is just despair and heartbreak for the rest of my life, so please, if not for Damon, then for me, for your daughter, help me find him".
Amelia sighed, "That's not fair young lady, you know how much your happiness means to me, fine, I'll do this spell but in order for me to do that, I need something that belongs to Damon".
Aria looked at the engagement ring Damon gave her, the ring that was still around her neck, "Here" Aria said, taking her necklace off her neck and handing her mother the ring, "Damon gave this to me".
Amelia observed the ring in her head, "This seems like a engagement ring to me" she said, then looked at her daughter in shock, "Young lady, did you marry someone without telling me?!".
Aria chuckled seeing her mother's panicked expression, "No mom, I didn't secretly marry Damon, but I will tell you this, I definitely do plan on marrying him one day".
"I can't believe this" Amelia said, looking at her daughter fondly, "My baby is growing up so fast".
"I'll always be your baby mom" Aria assured, "No matter what".
Amelia smiled, "I know" she said, before grabbing Aria's hands, "Now come on, concentrate with me".
Amelia and Aria both closed their eyes and concentrated on finding Damon's location, the flame on the candle next to them getting higher.

The locator spell Amelia did told Aria that Damon was currently at the cemetery, which is why Aria entered the Salvatore's crypt, looking around for the father of her children, she walked over to a grave on the wall, clearing the cobwebs, she was shocked seeing Damon's name.

"You shouldn't be here, Aria".
Hearing the familiar voice, Aria quickly turned around and looked towards the entrance of the crypt where a shadow of a man could be seen.
"Damon?" Aria called out, "Please tell me that's you".
The man walked forward into the light, revealing himself to be Tyler Lockwood, not Damon Salvatore.
"Please leave" Tyler told Aria, "Or I'll make you".

"I told you to go!" Tyler yelled, after seeing Aria make no effort in leaving.
Aria looked around and realised this time, she wasn't shoved out of Damon's mind, immediately causing a smirk to form on her face, "Yeah, you can't make me leave" she told Tyler, "Because the fact that my mom was so willing to help me, it proves that Damon wants me to find him, if he didn't then he could have just made it that my mom won't help me, after all, we are in his mind".
"You can't save him, Aria" Tyler stated, "Damon killed me--that makes me the only one that can ever forgive him for that".
"So we're really going to pretend that you haven't done anything bad in your life?" Aria asked, "Are we really going to forget all the times you betrayed me and Caroline and picked Elena over us? It is true that Damon has done a lot of bad things, and he's going to have to spend the rest of his life atoning for those these, but I know he can do it, and now it's time he believes it as well".
"Damon Salvatore is dead, and if you ask me, good riddance" Tyler snapped.
Aria glanced at Damon's grave, "Damon isn't dead" she whispered, "And I'm not leaving until I find him".
Before Tyler could register anything, Aria put both her hands infront of her and let out a loud banshee scream, immediately causing Tyler to fly into a wall and fall unconscious on the ground.
"Thank you for allowing me to be a banshee in your mind, Salvatore" Aria mumbled, stepping over Tyler's body to go find Damon.

"Damon?!" Aria yelled, walking around the graveyard, keeping an eye out for her soulmate, "Come on Damon! Please just come out, I'm tired of this hide and seek game!".
"Ria".
Aria turned around hearing someone call her name and immediately a huge smile formed on her face seeing her soulmate standing there, leaning on a gargoyle statue.
"Damon" Aria whispered, a huge smile forming on her face.
"You know, you probably shouldn't be wandering around here all alone" Damon said, "There's a killer vampire on the loose in my head".
"And who might that vampire be?" a curious Aria asked.
Damon sighed, "You" he admitted.
Aria gave Damon a sad smile, "Because you think your love will eventually push me to become a monster" she concluded.
"I'm your doom, Ria" Damon whispered, "I'm the worst thing that has ever happened to you".
"That's not true Damon" Aria said, taking a step towards the oldest Salvatore.
"But it is!" Damon yelled, "Name one good thing that has happened to you since I've come into your life".
"Our kids" Aria said, making Damon look at her, "You're the reason I'm a mother to three incredible children Damon, who are currently waiting for you in the real world".
Damon shook his head, "They have Kol, they don't need a father like me".
"They need Kol" Aria confirmed, "But they also need you, Damon I know you think you don't deserve me or the kids but just listen to me, I didn't what true love felt like till I met you, yes you were the bad brother, but when you looked at me, the way you acted around me, I knew that it was all just a facade, you're not bad Damon, yes you're impulsive, yes you have your moments when I want to stake you, but that doesn't make you bad, my whole life I had been craving for love and you gave that to me, you took me out of the darkness Damon, how can you be bad for me?".
"I walked away from you Ria, twice" Damon reminded.
"The first time you walked away, I forgave you the moment you died because I realised no matter what I can't live without you" Aria admitted, taking another step towards Damon, "And when you walked away the second time, I admit Damon I was so hurt but I know the only reason you walked away was to protect me and the triplets, I know everything you've done is make sure that your family is safe and yes it took me a while to realise that but I was angry Damon, but I'm not angry anymore, I love you and nothing in this world is going to stop me from loving you, so please", Aria held out her hand, "Grab my hand Damon, and come back to me, come back to your children".
Damon stared at Aria's hand, "I will screw up again Ria, I know I will".
"No you won't" Aria assured, "I believe in you Damon, please believe in yourself as well, hold my hand Damon, for five years we've been apart, I don't want to stay away from you any longer".
Damon looked at Aria then at her hand, wondering if he should take her hand or not.

In the real world, Sybil groaned in pain and stepped away from Damon as soon as she heard the ringing of the bell.
Aria gasped and stepped away from Damon, Sybil breaking the connection, broke Aria's connection as well, "Why did you step away?!" a furious Aria asked, "I was so close!".
"Seline has the bell" Sybil realised, she glared at Caroline and Aria, "You lied to me".
"They didn't lie to you" Kol said, entering the living room and walked over to where Damon sat, "This is my doing".
"What the hell did you do Kol?" a worried Aria asked.
"I'm just doing my job Ri, I'm gathering souls for Cade" Kol defended, "As soon as a compelled Matt Donovan rings that bell twelve times, hell fire will come and burn this whole town to the ground, meaning I will have lots of souls to feed to Cade".
"Are you insane?!" a furious Aria asked, "The triplets and twins are here, Kol! You're really going to let them die!?".
"Sorry Ri, the triplets or the twins mean nothing to me" Kol said.
"But they mean everything to me", before anyone could react, Damon had shoved his hand into Kol's chest, "And I won't let anyone, and I mean anyone try to kill my children", Damon then ripped Kol's heart out his chest.
Aria looked at Damon, her eyes full of tears, "Damon?" she asked, wondering if the man infront of her was her Damon or not.
Damon looked at Aria, and with a small smile nodded his head, letting her know he was officially back, making huge smiles form on both Aria and Caroline's faces, both of them realising Aria had succeeded in bringing her soulmate back to her.

Before having their much needed reunion, Damon and Aria knew first they needed to stop hellfire from engulfing Mystic Falls, so Damon and Aria rushed to the bell tower, where Matt had already rang the bell eleven times.
As the two vampires speeded up the bell tower, they saw Peter Maxwell about to snap Matt's neck, both Aria and Damon quickly rushed to the father son duo and shoved them away from each other, in the process Matt hit his head on the bell, knocking him unconscious.
"Let's hope that one doesn't count" Damon commented, as the bell that had started glowing red went back to its original colour.

Aria leaned against Damon's car, hearing footsteps coming towards her, she looked up and saw Matt walking towards her.
"You good?" Aria asked, the Donovan boy.
"Not really" Matt admitted, "I did have my head rammed into a giant metal object".
"You're welcome, we saved you from killing an entire town" Aria said, giving Matt a teasing smile, "Oh by the way, your dad wasn't looking so good, but don't worry I gave him some of my blood and now he's off somewhere with the bell from hell, please tell me you're not going to chase after him".
"Well, since Kol compelled me to ring the bell by nine, I'd say we're in the clear" Matt said.
"Oh thank god" Aria said, "Because I was in no mood to kill you tonight, Donovan".
Matt chuckled, "Thanks, I guess?".
"You're welcome" Aria said, "So, where to now?".
"The police department" Matt informed, "I hear Mystic Falls needs a sheriff".
A sad smile formed on Aria's face, "You have some big shoes to fill in Matt, don't let her down".
"I won't" Matt promised, and after giving Aria one last smile he walked away.
"Finally, I thought he was never going to leave".
Aria turned around and a huge smile formed on her face seeing Damon standing there, his signature smirk on his face.
Without wasting even a second, Aria ran towards Damon and once she reached him, she pulled him into a kiss.
"I love you" Aria whispered against Damon's lips, "I love you so so so much".
Damon placed a strand of hair behind Aria's ear, he took a moment to stare at the girl infront of him, "I can't believe I forgot you" he whispered, "How can I forget the person I'm alive for?".
Aria smiled at Damon, "Forget the past Damon, it's time to focus on our future, promise to never let me go this time?".
"I promise" Damon agreed, putting his hands on Aria's waist and pulling her into another heated kiss, "Forever?".
Aria laughed, "And ever" she said, wrapping her arms around Damon's neck and hugging him tightly, Damon hugged Aria back, lifting her feet of the ground and the spinning her around, making Aria laugh in immense happiness.

"Knock, knock", Aria knocked on the triplets bedroom and peeped in, "You guys awake?".
"Mommy!" Mia yelled, running over to her mother and hugging her legs.
Aria chuckled, "Hey bunny" she greeted, bending down and hugging her daughter.
"Hey mom!" Asher and Alec yelled, running over to their mother and kissing her cheeks.
"So much love for me?" Aria asked, "What did you three troublemakers do this time?".
"Nothing mom" Alec said, "We just missed you".
"Hmm, sure Alec, I believe you" Aria teased, "Alright, now lets talk about why I'm here, I have a surprise of you three".
"Oooo, surprise?" Mia asked, jumping up and down in excitement.
"What surprise?" Asher asked.
Aria looked towards the door, "You can come in now".
The triplets looked towards the door and saw a nervous Damon enter the room.
Asher, Alec and Mia immediately looked at Aria, who gave them a small nod.
"He's back to normal?" a Alec asked.
"He won't leave this time?" Asher asked.
"Can I hug him now?" Mia asked.
"Yes, he's back to normal and I promise he will never leave us again" Aria said, looking at Damon, who immediately nodded his head.
"Yay!" Mia said, running over to Damon, who immediately bent down and pulled his daughter into a tight hug.
Aria smiled at the scene infront of her, she then looked towards her sons, who were looking at her, "Go" she said, and that was all Asher and Alec needed to run to their father and join the hug.
Aria looked at the scene infront of her with tears in her eyes, she has been dreaming about this for so long and now that it had finally happened, she couldn't be any happier, but she also knew that this family was still incomplete, they had gotten Damon back and now it was time to bring Kol back as well, only then will this family be fully completed.
"Ria" Damon called out, bringing Aria out of her thoughts.
"Mom, come on, join the hug" Alec said.
Aria smiled and without any hesitation, walked over to her family and joined their hug.
