*Amelia pov*
I felt my heart beginning to flutter. Each heartbeat made me feel more and more in love, so in order to come back to my senses, I lifted up my arms and slapped my face as hard as I could.
"Ame?" Mumei said with worry
I looked at the girl and shook my feelings off. "I need to turn my feelings into results," I said.
If I can just figure out the odd feeling I have and why Mumei is experiencing this phenomenon, I should be able to figure it out before I fully fall for her.
First, I need to think about what makes Mumei so irresistible. She is really cute, but I don't know why she is pulling everyone into her like a vortex.
"Mumei, are you sure that you have nothing to do with people falling in love with you?" I asked
Mumei shook her head. "Why would I be responsible for it?" She asked
I shrugged a little bit. "I have no idea." I told her I just wanted to figure this out no matter what. I was going to even suspect her of forcefully doing this.
"Ame... I'm kind of worried if everyone falls in love with me and then the curse comes undone. How can I talk to everyone? Actually, how do I talk to everyone now? I don't know. I'm so worried about everything all of a sudden!" Mumei whined
She approached me, her face redder than a berry. "Please help me!" She said her hand brushed against my arm a little bit, making my heart feel like it was going to burst.
"Hic... What are you doing to me?" I questioned
"I don't know, and that's why I need your help!" She said
I pressed my forehead against hers and felt my heart beat thump, thump, thump. It beat in quick succession, and there was one thing that I knew I needed to do right now.
I leaned in and pressed my lips to hers. "Amph!" She mumbled, and I could tell she was trying to say Ame since she was shocked by how sudden this was. I pulled her in closer, deepening our kiss for a moment before she came back to her senses and pushed me away.
"Fuck, it's hot in here." She panted; this was one of the first times I heard her swear like that. It was honestly really cute.
"I'm sorry, I just lost control. I liked it though," She told me.
"I-I liked it too," Mumei said to me.
Her saying that sent me over the moon. I mentally can't take it at all. I can't regain my composure. She is just too fucking cute. I hiccuped again and noticed Mumei's face grew redder when she heard it.
"Do you think my hiccup is cute?" I asked her in a panic.
"Yeah..." She replied as if she were shameless for liking it.
"There is no problem with that; your mannerisms are cute too," I stated.
We were both suddenly an awkward mess. Usually I'm better at talking to people than this, but because I'm so busy, I can't focus.
I stood up and ran out of the room and over to Gura. "I can't get Mumei out of my head!" I said to her:
Ina and Gura looked at each other and sighed. "Now you are in the same boat as us," Ina said.
I thought they were kidding when they said this, but they clearly aren't joking because I'm experiencing this phenomenon myself and I can't process how one girl can woo ten girls in a matter of a few days.
"What am I going to do? I need to investigate her, but then I want to do it in a Yabai way!" I said
"I mean, you could investigate her in a Yabai way," Ina said with a smirk.
"Shut up!" I hissed like a gremlin.
Gura slapped me across the face as hard as she could and made me look her in the eyes. "You need to focus. Don't let the thoughts of Mumei overwhelm you. Think about something important to you, okay?" She asked
I began to think of something else important to me that I like, and the one thing I like is Gura.
"Okay, I got it," I gently said.
Gura pushed me forward and urged me to go back to Mumei. I took a deep breath and stepped inside the room once again.
"Think about Gura," I whispered to myself.
The thought of Gura made me realize how similar those two can be sometimes, but that also worried me. All of a sudden, am I attracted to Mumei because she's similar to Gura?
"Are you okay, Amelia?" Mumei asked
"Amel-Amelia!?" I shouted in shock.
She looked at me, perplexed by my outburst. "I just said your name," She said.
"I know that, but it's just so cute when you say it!" I squealed
Mumei was taken aback by me, so I slapped myself in the face to remind myself about everything and how much pain I felt when Gura slapped me across the face.
"Sorry, I will focus on helping you. I won't fall for you anymore, and I won't kiss you again, even though I kind of want to," I said.
I made sure the last part was quiet, so she didn't hear me say that bit. I don't want her to be afraid of me after all; I just want to help her. There's no need to make her want to leave, because if she did, then where would she go?
"I have a destination set in my teleporter just in case you go a little overboard," Mumei said.
Deep down, it upsets me that she is ready to leave at any point, but I won't verbalize it so she won't be afraid and actually leave.
"So, Mumei, are you in love with the girls that fall for you? And have I already asked that question?" I asked
"Yes, I think you have, but I'll answer again. I do fall in love with them too; it's not one-sided," She told me.
"So are you in love with me?" I questioned
"Well, do I have to answer that?" She asked
Granted that she couldn't look me in the eyes, I will take that as a yes that she is in love with me, and that means I have a chance with her, but if I ask her out now, she'll just leave.
"You are in love with me. I know you won't be able to escape your feelings, but please try to restrain yourself," She told me.
I nodded. I will try my best to hold myself back and not throw myself onto her.
"So where is the next destination you have set in your teleporter?" I asked her
Mumei shrugged. "Who knows?" She said.
Why wouldn't she tell me? Then again, if she did tell me, then I would know where she was going, and possibly I could follow her to where she was going.
"Mumei, tell me how you feel when you fall in love with someone," I said.
"Oh, well, my face heats up. I have an odd burning sensation. I don't know how to describe it, but my heart feels as if it is going to explode. I also feel extremely guilty for feeling this way," She said.
Guilt...
"You don't have to feel guilty about loving so many people, and it's okay as long as they are okay with sharing you," I said.
"You are optimistic. I get that point; it's been brought up like a hundred times, but then when I think about everyone I'm affecting, it just sends me down into the depths of darkness," She said.
"Look, I will help you in any way I can. I can even help you come to your decision. All you have to do is stick by me for a little while longer," I told her.
After some thought, she finally nodded and said, "Okay, what do you want to try?" She asked
I smiled and looked deep into her eyes. "You need to trust me, please," she said to me.
"I do trust you, but at the same time, why don't I like the sound of that?" She asked
"Just trust me, please!" I said once again:
She looked at me and nodded once again. She gave it more thought as she saw me reach for her teleporter.
"What are you doing?" She asked me
"Well, I want to see if you can bring Calli and Kiara here," I told her.
"Why?" She asked.
I don't want to verbally say this, but it is a harem test run with all of the myth girls. Maybe Mumei will see if she likes it or not, and then we can figure things out from there. As if she read my mind, she figured out what I was putting down immediately.
"This is going to backfire like everything else!" She claimed
I didn't want to say that because claiming that it's going to backfire and we will all lose control is really bad for us to think about if we think about the negative outcome that's going to happen now.
"I can try to bring Calli and Kiara here, but please, how about we do this for only ten minutes so we don't risk going too far?" She said
"Fine, as long as you are willing to try it, of course!" I told her
"It's okay with me!" She spoke confidently.
After all, she wants to figure this out.
