I was the happiest man alive on the earth when Taehyung said yes. I might sound desperate, I am like that with the things I set my eye on. Doesn't matter if its a business deal or a life partner. I do everything to make them mine. This is how I am since childhood. I guess this has become my behavior pattern now.
With business deals, it brings me the success I want and with Taehyung, I have the happiness, I've been searching my whole life. How weird it is that a person can bring so much change in you. Now, in the parts of day when he isn't around me, I feel incomplete. Like something is missing, but however I have this certainity that he feels the same way about me as I feel about him.
"Well, congratulations.... I can't believe you are marrying." Hyunjin said looking at me. I broke the news on him just a few seconds ago.
"I am so happy, I thought he would turn me down." I chuckled.
"Jungkook, I know what are you feeling right now but don't you think all of this is too soon and is Taehyung okay with all of that. I mean, you are different then he is. I wasn't expecting him to agree this soon." He said.
"What do you mean? I love him, I care for him what else is the reason you need to say yes."
"Yes you do, but given his past circumstances, the way he was shaken when we found him. I mean trauma like that takes time to heal....? Don't you think so." he rasied his eyebrow.
"Weren't you the one who said, he didn't deserve it. Whatever happened to him. Maybe he recognized my unharming intention to him and he trusts me. Beside I never took advantage of him even in his vulnerable moments."
"Yes, you are right but still....."
"What are you trying to imply here? Am I desperate to pounce on him for marriage? This might be fast but what we feel is mutual." I said calmly.
"That's okay then. Your happiness is all that matters kook. I am glad you found love again." he smiled.
Well I know he is worried about me, everytime he is. I don't blame him, I know he wants the best for me and Taehyung is best for me.
"I am happy Hyunjin. Don't worry. You should also start thinking about settling down." I said, I also wanted to see him having a family, not just go on, on hookup culture for life.
"You know me, responsibilities and I don't go hand in hand." he chuckled, he has always been like this.
"It is a beautiful responsibility." I smiled.
"Why you sound like old Jeon today? What's gotten into you. I still can't believe uncle agreed on it." he sighed.
"What do you mean, my father is no homophobe."
"I know, I mean last time didn't he ask you whole background of Iseul and when he got to know that she was from Min family, a reputable one then he agreed."
"Times are changed now, besides he might be tired waiting on me and Namjoon pursuing marriage."
"Maybe...."
"Enough about my marriage, I am planning to present proposal to Shawn Intl. to work with us. Any idea on persuading them?"
"What? Shawns have been working with Mins from years. This is like putting your arm in alligator's mouth."
"There is no holy commandment that Shawn's are supposed to work with Mins till eternity. If I propose them a better offer then who doesn't go for their profit right." I smirked.
"So you are planning to present this proposal before their annual gala? That's when they disclose their partnership."
"Yes, now Mins just represent them here in Korea, I have got a whiff that they are interested in expanding their market to China. With reduced marketing percentage, I want to offer them a exposure in Chinese market."
"Through Xiao's?" he raised his eyebrow.
"Yes, They are our representatives in Chinese market and Jeon's also have their reputation in Chinese market too......."
"This means we will be bringing Xiao, Shawn and Jeon Group on the same platform?"
"Yes.... Isn't it doable? I think it is, if we offer Xiao's an equal partnership in profit. I've seen that there is huge potential market in China for the products made by Shawns. People pay heavy shipment charges from Korean warehouse to get them. Introducing them locally would be beneficial." I said showing Hyunjin graphs.
"You are right. If we could pull it off, it would be huge for you and Jeon Group." He smiled.
"Do you think, Shawn would still decline this offer and keep work with Min's?"
"No, I don't think so because their interest would be aligning with us once you offer them exposure in Chinese market." he sounded positive.
"If this works, dad would be so proud of me for achieving it and getting married." I smiled.
"There is still time Jungkook. I want you to be sure about Taehyung once more. You see we don't know his background. Just his parents and nothing else. You are my friend kook, that's why I am concerned about you. You know so little about him. I am not against it but I just want you to be........"
"Hyung....." Taehyung spoke making his way inside my office.
Hyunjin couldn't complete what he was talking about as he snapped head in Taehyung's direction along with me, "I guess that's all for now Hyunjin. It's lunch time, you should eat too."
"Yeah, see you later. Good afternoon Taehyung." he said as Taehyung returned his greeting.
"Did I disturb you?" he spoke.
"No, you can never disturb me. I was just telling him that we are getting married." I smiled as he leaned in exchanging a kiss.
"What did he say hyung?" Taehyung smiled.
I thought for a bit before answering him, "He said he was happy for me. I told him he should settle too."
"Don't he have someone in his life hyung?" Taehyung said plating out the food.
"No, he doesn't believe in relationships and all." I chuckled.
"Oh.. That's sad. I wish he finds someone soon. He has a good heart." that's how innocent he is, finding good in everyone.
"I wish too...."
"He would come to our wedding right, maybe he gets some inspiration?" Taehyung smiled.
I laughed loudly, "Yes, he won't miss it for world. What about you who you want to invite."
I saw his expressions going sour from cheery in a second, I shouldn't have ask this. "Hyung, I have no one except for Seokjin hyung. So, he will be the only one from my side." he smiled weakly.
I stood from my seat reaching towards his side pecking softly on his cheek, "It's okay, you've got all of me on your side." I smiled and he giggled. This is the sound that I want hear forever from him.
"Yes, I've got you..... Hyung I have a request." he said wrapping my hand in to his both hands and I hummed.
"I want a small wedding hyung. Just your family and us." he smiled.
"Taehyung, it's wedding and I want it to be memorable."
"It will be more memorable, if we won't have extra people whom we don't even know." I knew he would say this.
"Father wants a huge one...."
"We can have reception party or something after wedding...." he bit his lower lip.
"Ummm.... Yes we can work with that I think. Are you scared Taehyung?"
"No, hyung.... I just like that way. Just us and the people we genuinely love." he smiled.
"As you say my love." I pecked his forehead to assure him that we are standing at the same page.
"Hyung, Can I go to see Seokjin hyung in the evening? I want to share the news and ask him if he could do our cake."
"Yes, Taehyung you are free to go anywhere you want and anything you want to do for our wedding. Just take driver with you and be careful."
"I'll be careful." he said extending a spoonful towards me.
