Sorry for slow updates, a lot has been going on. But summer is almost here for me, so, yay! Also, I have two new books... I switched the SuperWhoLock Imagines to just Wholock Imagines and started Supernatural Preferences and Imagines.
FLASHBACK
You paced across your room, Eowyn sat on the side of your bed.
"And you're sure about this?" she asked, breaking the silence. You nodded and tried to swallow the fear building up in your throat.
"How could I not be?" you choked. You had been sick for days, the doctors were unsure of the cause, but everything clicked this morning. You were pregnant.
"This is a good thing!" she said softly, smiling.
"But how will Aragorn react? He is the King of Gondor. He will be too busy-"
"And you're the Queen of Gondor, you have time, why not tell him?"
"I'm just worried," you admitted. "This is our first child and I don't want to mess this up. I want to be able to protect him or her."
"You used to be Captain of Gondor alongside Faramir! He said you have skills. It's right to be worried, you must trust me on this, it's going to be okay. But you should tell Aragorn sooner rather than later."
As if on cue, the door opened to reveal Aragorn and Faramir. Eowyn leapt up to meet her husband, then turned to give you a hug.
"It's going to be fine," she whispered and left. Aragorn walked over to you, curiosity sparking his expression. Faramir dipped his head then left, leaving you two alone.
"What's going to be fine?"
"I-it's nothing-" you stuttered.
"Obviously its something, what aren't you telling me?"
"Aragorn," you sighed,"I'm pregnant."
You watched as shock reflected across his face. He looked ready to faint. But slowly the color returned to his expression and he smiled.
"This is great news." He swooped down and bought you into his arms, kissing you sweetly.
"You're not worried?" you asked.
"Of course I am, who wouldn't be? But I'm never going to leave you."
FLASHBACK OVER
You rubbed your swollen stomach and gazed longingly at the mountains of Mordor. Aragorn had taken his warriors there to fight out any remaining orcs and scout the territory, once they finished they were going to check the boundaries of Gondor. They had been gone for days, you hoped everything was okay.
You really missed your husband. He had told you that he was never going to leave you, but this was his duty to the people of Gondor. The Captains practically came up to him and demanded a country sweep, there were rumors of orc packs roaming the land. Of course, Aragorn had to listen. So he gathered troops and told you he would try to be back before the baby was born.
You felt a kick as your child shifted. You felt these little movements more often, they made your heart swell. You loved your little baby.
"They are still not back," you murmured, sensing Eowyn's presence. Footsteps came up to you and Eowyn stood at your side.
"They will come home soon," she sighed, Faramir was also part of the army Aragorn took. The wind blew across the courtyard and you shivered. Winter was coming, and soon storms would be drifting across the plains.
Eowyn stood with you for a while. "It is getting late, we should go back in."
You nodded your head in a silent agreement. You followed Eowyn back inside and down the halls, she finally stopped outside your room. "Goodnight, call if you need me."
"Thank you." Then an excruciating pang bolted from your stomach and you gasped.
"Y/n?" Eowyn turned around as you clutched your stomach and doubled over in pain.
"Eowyn! It's time!" Your heart thudded against your chest and Eowyn helped you to your bed.
"I'll go get the medics," she said before rushing off. You cursed as another contraction sent rolling waves of agony through your muscles. Not now! Why did it have to happen now?
Nurses and midwives burst in your room with blankets and tools. They helped you out of your dress and into a nightgown then rested you against some pillows. You let out a whimper as the next contraction came. Eowyn rushed to your side.
"I've sent our fastest rider to get Aragorn, don't worry. Just stay relaxed." She sat down next to you, staying for support.
"Thank you," you gasped and gave her a half-smile. The midwives told you you had to wait for a couple hours, at the least, so you prepared yourself for a long night.
A few hours passed and Eowyn was asleep, head propped up with her hand. You were so uncomfortable and the pains were getting worse and each wave was getting closer together. The nurses said you could get some sleep, to save your energy for pushing, but you couldn't. It was far more painful than you expected, and you expected a lot of pain.
A couple more hours later, you got the sudden urge to push. The midwives came in to check, and you were ready.
"Okay, Lady Y/n. Time to push."
"What about Aragorn?" you gasped, then groaned as another contraction came.
"The King will come, but you must push now!" Beside you Eowyn woke up and gave you a look of reassurance.
"I'll be outside," she whispered then got up and left, closing the door behind her.
"When the next contraction comes, push for as long as you can, okay? Then you can catch your breath and wait for the next one." The nurse prepped you and you gathered your strength. You could sense the next one coming so you grit your teeth and pushed long and hard, a scream of effort and agony escaping your lips. Then you stopped and took a deep breath. A midwife dabbed a towel across your forehead to wipe of sweat. You could feel the next contraction coming so you braced yourself again.
Then, the door burst open, revealing Aragorn.
"Ara-" But a pain cut you off and you groaned.
"Y/n!" He was at your side in a second and grabbed your hand. The midwives curtsied quickly before resuming their positions. "I'm so sorry, but I'm here now." He gave you a quick smile.
"Okay, time to push again," the nurse instructed.
With new strength, you held your breath and pushed. You let out a low groan and clasped your husband's hand.
"I see the head! Keep going!" they encouraged.
It took two more pushes, then it was over. A small cry pierced the air and a towel-wrapped bundle was given to you. A tear dripped down your cheek, only to be brushed away by Aragorn.
"It's over," he whispered, kissing your forehead. You looked down at your baby and smiled. "You did it!"
"It's a boy," The nurse congratulated as she left the room, midwives following her lead.
"He looks just as handsome as his father," you said, softly rocking the crying child. Aragorn smiled and his eyes welled with tears. Eowyn cautiously walked into the room and to your side.
"How are you feeling?" she asked.
"Tired," you responded, and chuckled a bit.
"What are you going to name him?"
"Eldarion," you answered, naming one of the names you came up with Aragorn. Eowyn nodded with approval and your husband reached over and carefully stroked your child's forehead.
Hope you liked this!
Feel free to request some more, it may take me a while to complete it but I'm running low on ideas. As I mentioned earlier in the story I have two other books to check out if you like Imagines... I have one for Doctor Who and Sherlock and the other is for Supernatural.
