yoongi physically and mentally couldn't get up from bed. one, he was nauseous and lightheaded. two, it had been a year since his sexual assault.
he cried into his pillow thinking about it. he felt so disgusting, nothing could help how horrible he felt about it. that man had taken advantage of yoongi in order to please himself.
"yoongi? why are you crying?" the tall boy softly asked, opening the blinds to see yoongi clearer. yoongi sniffled, not facing him.
namjoon blinked, had he messed up again?
"did i do something? if so, i'm sorry" he said, yoongi was still mad, but he was pretty understanding of it. the small boy covered his head with the blanket.
namjoon placed his hand on yoongi's shoulder, "don't touch me!" he sobbed, the boy nodded, "i understand, i'm going to get ready for work now" he sadly smiled even though yoongi couldn't see him.
he received no response, so he went to the bathroom to get ready. he felt horrible.

"my boyfriend is mad at me and it's making me sad and frustrated" namjoon sighed as he told his students his worries during morning circle. his class did morning circle everyday and they talked about what was on their minds, whether it be silly or infuriating. namjoon found it helped his class stay calm for the rest of the day.
"who's your boyfriend?" one his students asked, "mr.min who's across the hall. did you guys not know?" he tilted his head, his students shook their heads.
"how would we know?" a girl asked, the other students agreed, "i have a framed picture of us on my desk and a picture of us on my phonecase. plus, we're always talking to each other in the hallway when you guys come back from lunch. who do you guys think i'm texting when i'm giggling on my phone?" he asked, "um, maybe your parents?"
namjoon sighed, "well yeah, he's my boyfriend. we had a little fight which is bad, but i'm going to let you guys in on a little secret, a good secret" he said, his studens had the widest grins.
"mr.min is going to have a baby"
"but he's not fat?"
namjoon chuckled a bit at that, "that's because it's still very early in his pregnancy. that means the baby is very small" he said, his students were giggling and squealing messes hearing the secret.
"wait, dr.kim, since you're veryyyy stressed and worried. does that mean we won't have a spelling test this week?"
the tall man sighed, "fine, but only because i'm too busy caring for mr.min!"
his students cheered, climbing on top of namjoon like a tree.

it was the biggest indicator of love coming from kim namjoon. gifting expensive jewelry was not a usual thing for namjoon.
proposing would show that he wasn't afraid of spending money on things he cared about. sure, he was scared of spending money, but he wouldn't let that stop him from showing yoongi that he means the world to him.
after work, he'd go find a ring. of course, he wouldn't rush himself, but he really wanted to propose before winter.

namjoon hummed as he looked at the different rings being sold. he wanted a simple, but pretty one. of course, he didn't want the diamond to be small, but he didn't want it to be huge.
"can i help you find something, sir?" the salesman asked, namjoon looked around him, "an engagement ring" he whispered, "ah, do you want one with a big diamond?"
he shook his head, "i don't want something really simple, but i don't want something extravagant" he said, the salesman smiled, "i think i have the perfect one for you"
the salesman pulled a ring out from the display case, "wow" namjoon mumbled, "this one is 4000 dollars"
namjoon felt his heart sink all the way to his feet, "is that nonnegotiable?" he asked, "i'm afraid so"
he bit his nails, "i'll take it. when will it be ready?" he said, feeling a lump in his throat, "that'll be determined by the ring size" the man smiled, namjoon smiled back.

the tall boy deleted all the messages and opened the apartment door. there wasn't a single sound and by the looks of the kitchen, yoongi hadn't eaten.
he walked into their bedroom and saw yoongi sitting whilst on his phone, his head leaning against the bed frame.
"hi babies, have you eaten?" he asked, yoongi shook his head and continued scrolling through his phone.
namjoon frowned, "i'll make you something" he said, "don't bother, i'm nauseous and feel so disgusting" he mumbled, "oh sugar" he sighed.
he sat next to yoongi in bed, "it wasn't your fault" he said. something about the way namjoon said it made it much more reassuring than the way he told himself. namjoon's voice was honey sweet and felt like a hug.
"really?" he whispered, pulling his knees to his chest, "of course, sugar" be reassured, yoongi held pinkies with namjoon.
yoongi bit the inside of his mouth, doing his best to reassure himself that was the case. in the bottom of his heart, he knew it wasn't his fault, but sometimes, it was harder to believe.
"i'm going to make you some food" the tall one said, yoongi frowned, "no thanks" he said, scrunching up his face.

namjoon presented yoongi with some grilled chicken with vegetables and a slice of avocado, a side of fruit on a smaller plate, some cheese, some rice, and an unopened yogurt.
"oh wow" he smiled, "the chicken is protein which helps your muscles and the baby's muscles, the cheese snd yogurt are calcium which helps our baby develope teeth and bones. if you have too little calcium, your bones will become brittle. the oranges and strawberries are folic acid which essential during the first trimester which i'm assuming you're in. folic acid is so essential because it helps prevent neural tube defects. the strawberries and oranges also count as vitamin c which promote bone and tissue development. did you know iron is the most common deficiency during pregnancy? that's why i made sure to include spinach which helps keep up with the blood supply of our growing baby. the bananas and avocado contain potassium which helps maintain proper fluid balance and regulates blood pressure"
yoongi stared at him, his mouth slightly open as he was overwhelmed with so many facts. he began crying into namjoon's chest.
"o-oh my gosh" he sobbed into the boy's chest, "i forgive you now" he cried, namjoon carefully wrapped his arms around yoongi, "i'm sorry for being so selfish" yoongi sniffled, pulling away so he could eat.
namjoon smiled, "don't apologize for anything, sugar. i think you forget my phd is in child development, so i know a thing or two about pregnancy" he said, tucking yoongi's hair behind his ear.
"you didn't have to do this" the small boy said, wiping his eye, "i did have to, i have to make sure you and the baby are getting all the nutrients you need. i've been rereading my textbooks to refresh my knowledge"
yoongi began crying again. namjoon was such a nerd. luckily, he was his nerd.
namjoon just smiled, he knew yoongi was just feeling hormonal. it was something the boy couldn't help.
yoongi ate all the food that was presented to him and still asked for oreos because he couldn't resist his craving.
he ate oreos as he scrolled through a website of baby clothing. he was tempted to steal namjoon's card every time he saw cute baby things.
"yoongi-ah, i don't think you should eat so many oreos. they're too sugary which could you and, or the baby"
yoongi glared at him, "it's okay because they have dairy and dairy is calcium which helps the muscles or whatever you said"
"actually, it helps the development of bones—"
"these oreos are the reason i haven't screamed at you"
