After Ava finished running through her routine with her coach and received some valuable tips on how to improve, she quickly gathered her belongings from the changing room. Pulling a pair of gym shorts over the bottom of her leotard, she stuffed her bag with her essentials. A sense of accomplishment filled her, and she couldn't help but smile as she created a new group message with Peter and Ned.

Sending a quick text and a selfie of herself with a thumbs-up, she added a caption, "Practice done! On my way to the academic decathlon meeting now. Can't wait to see you guys there!"

With a satisfied grin, Ava hit the send button and headed towards the meeting with excitement and a hint of nervousness.

As Ava walked into the academic decathlon meeting room wearing her gym outfit, Peter's heart skipped a beat. He couldn't help but feel a rush of nerves seeing her in her athletic attire. Her leotard hugged her form, and her gym shorts revealed a glimpse of her toned legs. He tried to discreetly avert his gaze, not wanting to stare, but his cheeks flushed with embarrassment nonetheless.

Liz, the team captain, was leading the meeting, and Mr. Harrington, one of the science teachers, was overseeing the proceedings. Peter fidgeted in his seat, trying to appear composed as the discussion continued. However, his mind kept wandering to Ava, who was effortlessly switching gears from her gymnastics practice to this academic gathering.

He admired how Ava seemed at ease, confidently engaging in the discussion. He felt a mixture of admiration and anxiety, not only because of his secret identity as Spider-Man but also because of his growing feelings for Ava. He couldn't help but wonder if she would ever see him as more than just a friend.

As the meeting progressed, Peter tried to focus on the team's strategies and contribute to the discussion, but his attention kept drifting back to Ava. He found himself stealing glances at her, hoping she wouldn't notice his nervousness. Liz's voice brought him back to reality, asking for his input on a particular topic.

"Oh, uh, sorry, could you repeat that?" Peter stammered, feeling a bit embarrassed for zoning out.

Liz raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "I was asking for your opinion on the last question, Peter. Is everything okay?"

Peter blushed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and nerves. "Yeah, sorry about that," he replied, trying to collect his thoughts. "I, uh, got a bit distracted. I think we should focus on the second part of the question. It's more specific, and I think we can find some solid evidence to support our answer."

Liz nodded, seemingly satisfied with his response, and the discussion continued. However, Peter's mind kept wandering back to Ava, who was engaged in the conversation, contributing her ideas with confidence and enthusiasm. He admired her intelligence and dedication, finding it both inspiring and intimidating.

As the meeting drew to a close, Liz reminded everyone of their upcoming practice schedule and urged them to study hard for the competition. The team members began to disperse, chatting and making plans for the days ahead.

Peter watched from a distance as Ava walked alongside Liz and Michelle, their laughter carrying through the air. He felt a twinge of envy, wishing he could join in and be a part of their group. But his nerves and self-doubt held him back, and he couldn't find the courage to approach them.

Before he could gather his thoughts and decide what to do, he noticed Ava getting into an expensive-looking, blacked-out car parked nearby. His heart sank as he realized he had missed his chance to talk to her. He berated himself for hesitating and letting his insecurities get the better of him.

Feeling disappointed, Peter turned away and started to walk in the opposite direction.

As he made his way home, Peter couldn't help but replay the scene in his mind, wondering what he could have said or done differently. He wished he could be more confident, more like Spider-Man, who faced danger and challenges without hesitation.

His phone's ping snapped Peter out of his melancholic thoughts, and he eagerly checked the message. It was from Ava, and his heart skipped a beat as he read her friendly invitation.

"Hey, Peter! Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you at the meeting. You looked deep in thought. How about we grab some coffee or lunch tomorrow after practice? 😊"

Peter couldn't believe his luck. Ava had initiated the conversation and was even suggesting they hang out together. He felt a surge of excitement mixed with nervousness. With a slightly trembling hand, he quickly typed out a reply, "Sure, that sounds great! Coffee works for me. See you then! 😊"

Feeling a little more optimistic, Peter tucked his phone back into his pocket and continued to head home. The prospect of spending time with Ava outside of school was both thrilling and daunting, but he was determined to make the most of it. He knew he had to muster the confidence of his alter-ego, Spider-Man, to impress the Ava Stark.

Ava couldn't contain her smile as she entered her home. The thought of going out for coffee with Peter tomorrow filled her with excitement. In the elevator, she quickly composed a message to Sarah, detailing her day and how she had donned the Aurum suit last night. She promised to call Sarah later to share the thrilling details. Instead of heading straight to her floor, she felt a sudden urge to check the kitchen and see if her dad or Pepper were there.

As she entered the kitchen, she was greeted by the soft hum of Sokovian music coming from the stove area. There, she found Wanda Maximoff, gracefully stirring a pot with an air of serenity about her. The sight of the Scarlet Witch caught her by surprise, but she quickly composed herself and greeted her with a warm smile. "Hey, Wanda! How's it going?"

Wanda turned with a gentle smile, her deep brown eyes conveying a sense of warmth and understanding. "Little Stark! It's going well, thank you. How was your day?" she replied in her soothing voice.

"Pretty good, thank you," Ava responded. She approached the stove, curious about what Wanda was cooking. "What's on the menu today?"

Wanda chuckled softly, "Just a simple Sokovian stew. It's a family recipe passed down through generations."

Ava's eyes lit up with interest. "That sounds amazing. I'd love to try it sometime."

Wanda nodded, her smile growing. "Of course, nobody else here seems to enjoy my cooking. Not processed enough for the American stomach," she joked.

Ava laughed, "Well, I might be an American at heart, but I practically grew up in Europe. We moved there when I was like 8."

Wanda raised an amused eyebrow. "Oh, really? So, you have a taste for European cuisine then?"

Ava nodded, recalling her time at school. "Definitely! Our school had so many people from different cultures that they made sure to provide a range of cuisines."

Wanda's smile widened. "Then you'll definitely enjoy this Sokovian stew. It's made with love and tradition."

Ava leaned in with curiosity. "I can't wait to try it. I love experiencing new flavours and dishes from different cultures."

Wanda's eyes sparkled with warmth. "I think you'll find Sokovian cuisine to be quite unique and rich in flavours," she said, and Ava could sense the pride in Wanda's voice as she spoke of her homeland.

As they continued to talk, Ava learned more about Wanda's life. She felt a deep sense of sympathy and understanding when Wanda shared stories about her late brother Pietro. Ava could see the pain and love intertwined in Wanda's memories, and she listened attentively, offering her support and empathy.

"It sounds like you and Pietro had a special bond," Ava said softly, placing a comforting hand on Wanda's shoulder. "I can't imagine how tough it must have been for you."

Wanda nodded, a wistful smile forming on her lips. "We were twins, connected in a way that only siblings can understand. Losing him was one of the hardest things I've ever experienced."

Ava nodded, her heart going out to Wanda. "I can't even begin to comprehend the depth of that loss," she said sincerely. "But I'm glad you have happy memories of your time together."

Wanda's expression softened, appreciating Ava's understanding. "Thank you, Ava. It means a lot to have someone to talk to about it."

Ava smiled warmly. "Of course, anytime. Friends are there to support each other, right?"

Wanda nodded, and Ava could see a glimmer of gratitude in her eyes.

After a while, the delicious aroma of the Sokovian stew filled the air, and Wanda served a bowl for Ava. The first bite brought a smile to Ava's face. "This is amazing, Wanda. It's like a burst of flavours in my mouth," she exclaimed with delight.

Wanda looked pleased. "I'm glad you like it. It's a recipe that has been in my family for generations. I used to cook it with Pietro when we were younger," she shared, a hint of nostalgia in her voice.

"Maybe you can teach me sometime?" Ava smiled, savouring another spoonful of the delicious Sokovian stew.

Wanda's eyes glimmered with delight. "I'd be more than happy to show you the ropes," she replied warmly. "Cooking together would be a wonderful way to bond."

Ava nodded, enjoying the prospect of spending more time with Wanda. "I'd love that. It's nice to have someone to talk to in the towers who isn't my dad or Pepper."

"Agreed," Wanda said with a chuckle.

When Ava finally reached her floor, she noticed a beautifully wrapped basket sitting on her sofa. Excitement tingled within her as she placed her bag down and approached the mysterious gift. Beside the basket, she found a note, and she knew it must be from her dad.

"Hey, kiddo! I know it's been a busy week for both of us, and I wanted to surprise you with a little treat. Enjoy the goodies in the basket – your favourites are in there, I promise. Remember, even when things get hectic, I'm always thinking of you. Love, Dad."

Ava's heart warmed at her father's sweet gesture. She carefully unwrapped the basket to find an assortment of her favourite snacks and treats neatly arranged inside. From chocolate bars to popcorn and even some freshly baked cookies, he had thought of everything.

Grinning, she placed the basked on her coffee table and sat on the sofa, she picked out one of the cookies and broke it in half, nibbling on one of the corners as she brainstormed her next task, a gadget to help her as Aurum.

Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice the time passing until her phone buzzed with a new message. It was from Peter.

"Hey, Ava! I'm really looking forward to our coffee tomorrow. 😊"

Ava's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly replied, "Me too, Peter! Can't wait to catch up. See you tomorrow!"

She got up from the sofa, pulling her tablet out of her bag and placing it on her desk. "FRIDAY, bring up the schematics for a watch... Make it - white and gold," she instructed, envisioning a sleek and elegant design for the device.

Ava leaned closer to the holographic display, her eyes focused and determined. She examined the watch's internal components and specifications with keen interest. "FRIDAY, what's the best CPU that would fit in that design?" she inquired, eager to optimize the watch's performance.

FRIDAY responded promptly, "Based on the available space and power constraints, I recommend the latest nano-sized StarkTech CPU."

Ava nodded, impressed with FRIDAY's suggestion. "Sounds good," she acknowledged with a small smile. "I bet I could do even better."

Her mind raced with ideas, and she began sketching new designs on her tablet. The sleek, cutting-edge lines took shape under her skillful hands, and she envisioned the possibilities for further enhancements. Ava was determined to create something unique and truly her own.

Feeling inspired, she decided to get into the right mindset. She changed into comfortable loungewear, and grabbed her tablet containing her schematics. With a surge of excitement, she made her way to her father's lab.

Lost in the zone, Ava was fully absorbed in her work when Tony found her. He had just finished up a talk and enjoyed a quiet dinner with Pepper before deciding to check on something he had been working on the previous night. As he entered the lab, he spotted Ava, completely engrossed in her project.

Wearing the protective glasses and holding a soldering pen, Ava seemed in her element as she worked on what appeared to be a micro motherboard. Tony couldn't help but feel a mix of surprise and pride as he observed his daughter's proficiency with the tools and technology.

"Hey there, mini me," Tony greeted with a playful smile, walking closer to her.

Ava looked up, startled for a moment, but her surprise quickly turned into a warm smile. "Hey, Dad!" she replied cheerfully. "I hope you don't mind me using your lab."

Tony's eyes twinkled with curiosity. "Not at all. I'm curious to see what you're up to. Show me what you got."

With renewed excitement, Ava began explaining her vision for the watch. She shared her ideas for enhancing its performance and creating a design that was unique to her. As she spoke, Tony couldn't help but be impressed by her determination and creativity.

"That's some serious work you've got there, Ava," Tony remarked, nodding approvingly as he picked up the two straps she had made for the watch. "White and gold, huh?"

Ava's breath hitched in her throat, her heart pounding with nervousness. Had he somehow learned about her alter-ego that had put out a fire last night? She hoped he couldn't connect the dots between her night-time heroics and the watch she was designing.

"Yeah, I thought it would give it a classy and elegant look," she replied, trying to sound casual.

"Impressive, Ava," Tony remarked as he observed her skills in action. "What processor are you going for?" he questioned, looking at the motherboard she was creating.

Ava hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to reveal. She wanted to share her work with her father but also wanted to keep her secret identity as Aurum safe. "An original design, no offense, Dad," she smiled, deciding to show him some of the schematics while skilfully leaving out any details related to her plans for the watch as Aurum.

Tony raised an eyebrow, impressed by her ingenuity and respect for her boundaries. "No offense taken," he said with a hint of pride. "You know, Ava, when I was your age, I was tinkering with things just like this," Tony said, his voice tinged with nostalgia. "Building and creating is in our blood, I guess."

Ava smiled, feeling a sense of connection with her father. "Yeah, I guess so," Ava replied with a soft chuckle. "Mom didn't really know what to do with me when I started taking apart all the electronics in the flat." She said with a sad smile

Tony's eyes softened as he listened to Ava's memories of her late mother. "Your mom was a remarkable woman, and she loved you very much," he said gently. "She may not have understood your fascination with electronics back then, but I'm sure she'd be so proud of the talented young woman you've become."

Ava nodded, appreciating her father's comforting words. "I miss her," she admitted softly. "But I'm grateful to have you, Dad."

Tony placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I'm here for you, Ava, always," he said, his voice filled with warmth and sincerity.

Ava smiled, looking back down at her motherboard. "I have a date tomorrow," she told him, unsure of how he would respond.

Tony's protective instincts kicked in, and he glanced up from his own work, giving her a scrutinizing look. "A date? With whom?" he asked, trying to keep his tone nonchalant even though he couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy.

Ava sensed her father's protectiveness and reassured him, "Just one of my friends from school. We're just going for coffee after practice."

Tony continued to watch her carefully, his mind racing with various scenarios. "Okay, just a friend," he replied, trying to appear casual. "Just make sure you're safe and let me know if anything comes up."

Ava nodded, understanding her father's concern. "I will, Dad. Don't worry," she said, offering him a reassuring smile.

Tony looked back down at his work for a few moments, before continuing, "A date... date? Or a friendly date?"

Ava looked at her tinkering, deep in thought. "I'm not sure. I've only known him for a week, but he's sweet," she said, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Tony paused from his own work and turned his attention to her. "Take your time, Ava. Getting to know someone takes time, and it's okay to be unsure," he advised, his protective side coming through again.

Ava appreciated her father's understanding and wisdom. "Yeah, you're right. I don't want to rush into anything," she replied, feeling grateful for his support.

Tony gave her a reassuring smile. "Exactly. Just enjoy getting to know him and see where it goes. And remember, I'm always here if you need to talk or if anything doesn't feel right," he said, his fatherly concern evident.

"Thanks, Dad," Ava said, touched by his words. "I'll keep that in mind."

✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚

The soft morning light filtered through the curtains as Ava woke up, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves about her upcoming date. She finished her cigarette, leaving the room with a sense of anticipation. As she entered the kitchenette, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted her, lifting her spirits.

However, her attention was soon drawn to something else. A dress bag, elegantly draped over her sofa, caught her eye. Beside it, a note written in Pepper's graceful handwriting brought a smile to her face. "I heard you have a date after school - Pepper x," the note read.

Ava's heart warmed at her step-mom's thoughtful gesture. She unzipped the bag with curiosity, revealing a dark green dress inside. As she held it up, she was captivated by the beauty of the garment. It was a floral print, A-line lace dress with long sleeves. The intricate lacework exuded a sense of elegance, while the deep green colour perfectly complemented her dark hair.

The dress struck the ideal balance between casual and cute, making it the ideal choice for her date. Ava couldn't have asked for a more fitting outfit to wear. The thoughtfulness behind Pepper's choice made her feel cared for and loved.

With the dress carefully laid out on her bed, Ava couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement as she admired how it suited her personal style. The floral lace and the elegant cut were perfect for the casual yet cute look she wanted to achieve for the date.

After savouring her coffee, Ava decided to freshen up before getting dressed. She headed to the shower, making sure to use her favourite lavender shampoo, which always left her feeling relaxed and refreshed. The warm water cascaded over her, washing away any lingering traces of sleepiness.

As she stepped out of the shower, she wrapped a soft towel around her hair and another around her body. She took a moment to gaze at herself in the bathroom mirror, wondering how the date would go.

After she finished drying and curling her hair, and doing her makeup, Ava took one last look in the mirror before slipping into her dress. The floral lace hugged her figure in all the right places, and the long sleeves added a touch of elegance. She felt a surge of confidence as she admired her reflection, pleased with how everything came together.

Before leaving her room, Ava quickly sent a message to her step-mom, Pepper, expressing her gratitude for the thoughtful dress. Pepper responded with a sweet text, wishing her luck and reminding her to have fun.

As Ava made her way to the kitchen, the delicious aroma of freshly baked pastries filled the air. She spotted a plate of warm croissants, muffins, and scones arranged neatly on the counter. The sight made her mouth water, and she couldn't resist reaching for one of the flaky croissants.

Just as she was about to take a bite, Tony walked in, a playful smile on his face. "I see you found the pastries," he remarked.

Ava grinned, her cheeks slightly pink from embarrassment. "Guilty as charged," she replied, taking a bite of the croissant. "They're amazing."

Tony chuckled. "I thought they might help calm your nerves a bit. Going on a date can be nerve-wracking, especially when it's with someone you really like."

Ava nodded, appreciating her father's understanding. "Yeah, it is. But I'm also excited about it. Peter's a great guy."

Tony raised an eyebrow. "Peter, huh?

Ava's eyes widened, blushing as she realized she had slipped up. "Forget I said anything," she quickly replied, trying to downplay her slip.

Tony chuckled, a knowing glint in his eyes. "Oh, I won't forget," he teased gently. "So, Peter, huh? He must be pretty special if he's got my little girl blushing like that."

Ava's cheeks flushed even more, and she playfully rolled her eyes. "Dad, it's not like that. We're just friends, okay? Nothing serious."

Tony chuckled, recognizing his daughter's attempt to divert the conversation. He decided not to press further for now, giving her some space. "Alright, alright. Your secrets are safe with me," he said with a wink.

Ava let out a sigh of relief, grateful that her father didn't push the matter. She smiled at him, appreciating his understanding. "Thanks, Dad. You're the best," she said warmly.

Tony grinned, pretending to brush off the compliment. "Of course, I am. Now, enough about boys." He reached into his pocket, pulling out a small jewellery box. "Well, I have something for you," he said, handing her the box.

Ava's eyes widened with surprise as she opened the box to reveal a stunning pair of Cartier emerald earrings. The green gems sparkled in the light, matching the colour of her dress perfectly.

"Dad, they're beautiful," Ava exclaimed, touched by the thoughtful gift.

"They're a little something to make your date even more special," Tony said, looking pleased with her reaction.

Ava hugged her father tightly, grateful for the gesture. "Thank you, Dad. You didn't have to do this."

Tony ruffled her hair affectionately. "I know, but I wanted to. Have a fantastic time, Ava. And remember, if this- Peter doesn't treat you right, I have plenty of Iron Man suits to scare him away."

Ava laughed, rolling her eyes playfully. "I think I'll be fine, but thanks, Dad."
