The amour couple make their way back to the Professor's house, ready to relax for the rest of the night. They have already made their plans for the rest of the evening.
They plan to do some typical teenage relationship things. Order some Pizza and sit in bed watching a movie.
It may not be the grand way most champions would spend the rest of their evening but for Ash it was exactly what he wanted.
However, before their evening can get started, they still have a few things to take care of first.
Which is what Ash finds himself doing right now as he stands in the bathroom, running a bath while Serena lays on the bed behind him. He is currently running a bath for his girlfriend to relax her muscles and help her heal.
Ash takes a small sigh as he complains "Why do I need to add all these different bath salts in a specific order Serena?"
Serena frowns slightly and replies "Because it makes the water so much more relaxing. Plus it's to help relax my muscles and smell good."
Ash shakes his head and remarks "Whatever you say beautiful, personally I prefer a quick shower. More time for training that way."
Serena giggles and explains "Well me too most days. But sometimes it's nice to relax in the hot water and take time to reflect. You should try it sometime Ash."
Ash raises an eyebrow and questions "With how long this is taking to run, when am I ever going to have time to do that?"
Serena giggles a little as she takes in her boyfriend's statement. In truth he is right. Serena has practically given him a 20 page essay on what to do step by step. To be honest running that same bath twice would take up a lot of time, unless...
Serena puts on a devious smile and casually remarks "We could share one day you know?"
Ash's eyes widen at Serena's statement as he feels his cheeks redden slightly. He looks up at her with a slightly embarrassed look and questions "You'd be okay with that?"
Serena smiles reassuringly and exclaims "Sure I would, not now but in the future when we're a little more comfortable with each other. It could be fun."
Ash chuckles a little at Serena's reaction and replies "Well we'll see, as long as your happy then that's all that matters."
Serena beams a smile at Ash's caring nature as he continues to run her bath. After another 5 minutes or so of following her instructions and constantly testing the temperature, everything seems to be in order.
Ash walks over to his girlfriend and questions "Are you ready now?"
Serena nods and smiles as she gestures for Ash to pick her up. Ash nods and picks up Serena before taking her towards the bathroom. He places her on her two feet in front of the bath and questions "You going to be okay?"
Serena smiles at Ash's sweetness and replies "Yes Ash I'll be okay."
Ash nods and remarks in a sweet tone "Okay Serena, I'll be on the phone to my mom in the other room to let her know we're coming to Pallet town soon. If you need any help just shout."
Serena smiles at her boyfriend before she smirks and exclaims "Now shoo, I've got to get clean."
Ash chuckles as he holds up his hands in defeat before walking out the bathroom to leave Serena to bathe in peace.
He makes his way out of their bedroom and makes his way towards the video phone in the other room.
As he steps into the room, he sees his Pikachu and the baby playing a game of tag as they run around the room. Ash smiles at the sight of the two getting along so well and exclaims "Hey you two, good to see you both getting along so well."
Both Pikachu's let off happy cries at the sight of Ash and leap upon onto each of his shoulders. They both let off a happy "Pika," before they nuzzle their cheeks against Ash's.
Ash laughs a little and exclaims "Thank you both, so do you want to come with me. I'm about to go give mom a call."
Both Pikachu's nod in agreement as they make their way over to the video phone booth. Ash dials the number for home as he awaits for someone to pick up. However, the one who picks up isn't exactly who he expected.
Mimey stands on the other side of the camera and let's off a happy "Mr Mime!"
Ash smiles and greets "Hey Mimey, how you been?"
Mimey nods and let's off a positive "Mr Mime!"
Ash smiles and exclaims "That's awesome Mimey, so is mom around. I was hoping I could ask her something."
Mr Mime sweat-drops at the mention of Ash's mother as he moves out the way of the camera to show Delia, laid out on the sofa looking emotionally wiped out from excitement.
Ash notices his mothers state and scratches the back of his head nervously. He sighs and exclaims "Oh well, I suppose we should let her rest. I guess I can call.."
Suddenly Delia leaps up like a woman possessed and screams "Is that my baby boy!" She instantly rushes towards the video phone and snatches it straight out of Mimey's hand.
Ash smiles and exclaims "Hey mom, it's good to speak to you again."
Pikachu pumps his fist in the air and greets "Pika pika!"
Delia beams a smile at the camera and shouts "Oh it's so good to see you Ash! Congratulations my baby boy! I'm so proud of you!"
Ash beams a smile at his mother's reaction to winning the league and replies "Thanks mom! It took a lot of work to make it happen but we got there in the end. It's a great feeling to finally win a pokemon league."
Delia frantically shakes her head and exclaims "I wasn't talking about that! I was talking about the fact that you finally got a girlfriend!"
Ash sweat drops a little at her reaction and replies in a confused tone "Oh thanks mom, but I thought Gary would have told you about that by now."
Delia gasps in shock and shouts "No he didn't! I only just found out today!"
Ash instantly feels a little guilty at the fact that his mother found about his relationship at the same time as the public. He shakes his head a little and apologises "I'm sorry mom, I thought you knew for months."
Delia's face turns into one of pure shock as she screams "Months!? How long have you two been dating!?"
Ash scratches the back of his head nervously as he admits "Well about 8 months now I think?"
Delia's face turns into a massive frown as she screams "8 Months! And you didn't tell me why!!"
Ash takes a step back with a mixture of shock and fear. While he's miss behaved in the past, his mother has never lost it with him like this.
He takes a regretful sigh and apologises "I'm sorry mom, I wanted to let you know with Serena in person but we couldn't wait any longer. We love each other too much to keep it a secret. In truth we thought you would have figured it out by now."
Delia sees the genuine look in her son's eyes as she calms down her excitement a little. She takes a deep breath to compose herself as she exclaims "Okay I understand. I got a little over excited. Anyway enough of that, when are you two coming to visit me?"
Ash smiles at his mother and exclaims "Well that's what I was calling about. Me and Serena need a place to stay while we get ready for the Kalos queen master class competition. So I was hoping we could stay with you for about a month?"
Delia beams a smile as her excitement builds back again. She replies in a joyful tone "Of course you can Ash! I'll make sure the house is spotless before she arrives. Oh I'm just so excited to meet her again. I haven't seen her in person since you were both so little."
Ash smiles gratefully at his mom's support as he exclaims "Thanks mom, I can tell Serena can't wait to meet you too."
Delia clasps her hands together and remarks with excitement clear in her voice "I just still can't believe you and her are dating. She is such a beautiful young lady."
Ash scratches the back of his head and replies "Yeah I'm not sure how I managed it either."
Delia smiles at her child until she notices something she'd overlooked in her excitement, a Baby Pikachu sat on his shoulder.
She raises her eyebrow and questions "Ash, since when did you capture a baby Pikachu?"
Ash smiles at the baby as he shakes his head and explains "She's not my Pokémon, she's Serena's. She caught her while traveling through the Hoenn region. Her Sylveon kind of adopted her as a mother and now Pikachu has stepped in as her father."
Delia gasps a little in shock as she feels her excitement levels rise even more. She beams a smile and questions "Your both taking care of a baby Pokémon?"
Ash scratches his head nervously and replies "Well yeah, I guess you could say that."
Delia squeals again as her excitement over load kicks in. She screams "OMA YOU TWO ARE ALREADY PREPARING TO BECOME PARENTS!!"
Ash shakes his head furiously and complains "Wait what no! It's just..."
Delia cuts him off as she screams "YOU TWO WILL HAVE THE CUTEST BABIES EVER!!! MY GRANDBABIES WILL BE THE MOST PERFECT LITTLE...."
Ash cuts his mom off as he shouts "Mom stop!!!"
Delia stops her excitement as Ash sighs and exclaims "Mom, I'm glad your excited but you need to calm down. We're not planning any of that okay! If you act like this in front of Serena then your going to overwhelm her."
Delia takes a second to compose herself as she feels fear go through her mind that her actions could cause Ash's girlfriend to feel uncomfortable. She takes a breath before she apologises "I'm sorry Ash, I lost control of myself. I promise I'll have sorted myself out by the time you visit."
Ash puts a genuine smile on his face and replies in a happy tone "Thanks mom. I'm glad your happy for us in truth."
Delia smiles and remarks "Of course I am, I'm always happy to see my baby boy succeed."
Ash feels a warmth flush over him as he thinks about his mothers unwavering support for him. Since day one she's been there to encourage him and give him belief in himself. While Serena may be his biggest supporter, his mother will always be the first person to believe in him and his dream.
Ash continues to think about his mother's support until he hears a scream echo through out the house "Ash I need help!!!"
Ash's instantly snaps back to reality upon hearing Serena's voice as he refocuses his mind. He puts a serious look on his face as his attention turns towards Serena's needs.
Delia notices her son's look and questions "What's the matter Ash?"
Ash turns towards the camera and lets off a reassuring smile as he exclaims "Oh it's just Serena calling me, she's still in a little pain after the attack so I'm trying to help her around the place."
Delia shakes her head and orders her child "What are you doing here still then? Go and help her already!"
Ash sweat drops a little at his mothers tone. This seems to be becoming a running theme his life. His Pokémon seem to like Serena more than him and now his own mother as well. He shrugs off his thoughts and replies "Okay mom, I'll see you in a few days."
Delia beams a smile at the camera and exclaims "Love you my child, stay safe."
Ash nods and switches the camera off, ending the video call with his mother. He tells Pikachu to look after the baby before making his way back to his room.
He walks over to the bathroom door and stands in front of it. He knocks it gently and questions "Serena, can I come in."
Ash presses his ear against the door as he awaits his girlfriend's response. A few seconds later he gets it as he hears as sniffle and a pained "Yeah."
With Serena's permission, Ash takes the door handle and slowly opens the door to the bathroom. He takes a step into the room and gazes in as he feels his heart melt at the sight in front of him.
Serena sits on the edge of the bath while doubled over in pain. Tears drip down her cheeks as she slightly shakes and quivers from the cold. She has managed to get herself dressed to some extent in her usual night wear. Expect for her hoodie which she clutches it in her arms, unable to put it on due to the pain coursing through her midsection.
Ash instantly takes action as he rushes over to her and wraps his jacket around her for warmth. He sits next to her puts her in his arms as he attempts to warm her up. He puts a concerned look on his face as he questions "You okay Serena, what happened?"
Serena sinks into her boyfriend's arms as she tries to find some sort of warmth. She sniffs a few times and explains through cold stutters "I hurt myself.... getting out the bath when I.... Slipped.... My ribs really hurt.... But I still tried to....get dressed.... That hurt me....more."
Ash feels his worry increase as he holds her closer and tighter in his arms to try and warm her up. Clearly she tripped and fell but was too embarrassed to ask for help afterwards so instead of just wrapping a towel around herself and asking for help, she tried to push through with getting dressed but only made things worse. Now she's sat on the side of the bath in immense pain while feeling cold from not drying off properly and not being able to get her hoodie over her head to help with the situation.
Ash frowns a little and exclaims "Next time Serena, call me straight away. I get it would have been embarrassing for us both but I promise I wouldn't have even thought like that. I couldn't dare with you in pain."
Serena feels her heart warm at Ash's reasoning as she smiles a little and whispers "Okay Ash."
Ash smiles reassuringly at her before he pecks her forehead gently. He rubs her arm a little and questions "Do you want me to take you to bed to warm up."
Serena sniffs and nods yes. Ash scoops her up carefully and takes her back to their bed. He does the jacket up properly before tucking Serena into bed.
He smiles at his girlfriend and questions "That better?"
Serena smiles at her boyfriend, feeling so blessed that he is taking such good care of her through her injuries. Ash is being such a good carer for her that it honestly makes her so happy. The public may know him as Ash the youngest ever champion. But she'll always see him as Ash Ketchum, the sweetest boy in the world.
Shaking off her thoughts, Serena nods and replies "Yeah, thank you Ash. Next time I'll call you earlier. I guess I just was worried how you'd react."
Ash smiles down at Serena and gently pecks her lips. He whispers "That's okay beautiful. I'm just glad your okay."
Right on queue, the doorbell to the house rings as their pizza arrives. Ash stands up and exclaims "That'll be our Pizza. I'll go get it and then I'll cuddle you in bed to warm you up."
Serena sees no issues with Ash's plan as she nods and replies "Okay Ash. Just don't be too long."
Ash nods before he makes his way to the front door. He grabs the Pizza and tips the driver before making his way back up to their room. He places the Pizza on the bed before changing into his night clothes.
He puts on Serena's choice of movie which is some romantic comedy she is desperate to see. Ash climbs his way into bed as Serena instantly snuggles up him, using the warmth of his body to warm her up.
They watch the film while sharing their pizza together. They both savour the peace they have together after such a frantic month. Nothing to worry about at all just the two of them enjoying each other's company while doing things normal couples do.
After the movie finishes, the two cuddle up closer together and give each other a goodnight kiss before drifting off to sleep in the comfort of one and other.

Ash and Serena wake up in the morning relatively early. They have one more day in Alola before they leave to Pallet Town today. There is some stuff to wrap up in terms of goodbyes but overall the day would be there's to spend the way they please.
After freshing up in the bathroom, Ash goes to the kitchen. His plan is to make some breakfast for everyone. However as he steps in to the room, he realises he's been beaten to the punch as he sees Serena, up and dressed, with her apron on cooking up some breakfast.
Ash sighs as he shakes his head and exclaims "Serena, your meant to be resting. Why have you made breakfast for us all?"
Serena smiles at her boyfriend before giving him a good morning kiss on the lips. She smirks a little and replies "Now Ash, just because I'm injured it won't stop me making food for my hungry Munchlax of a boyfriend. Plus with your cooking skills, well who knows what would happen."
Ash chuckles a little at Serena's point and concedes "Yeah your right, at least let me help you with that though."
Ash walks over and takes the plates off Serena as he sets the table. After, he pulls a chair out ready and walks back over to Serena. He takes her hand in his and escorts her to her chair.
Serena giggles a little at Ash's gentlemanly gesture and remarks in a royal tone "Why thank you Alola's humble champion."
She takes her seat as Ash chuckles a little at her royal accent. He kisses her hand and plays into the royal theme as he replies "It is my honour your majesty."
Serena shakes her head a little and exclaims in her normal tone "Not quite yet, you can do that after I've become Kalos queen."
Ash smirks a little as he replies in a knowing tone "Well either way, you'll always be my Kalos queen."
Serena blushes heavily at the comment. She loves Ash's little names he calls her but queen might just be her favourite yet. She beams a smile as she clutches her blue ribbon and exclaims "Ah Ash that's so sweet."
Ash smiles at his girlfriend's reaction before he takes a seat opposite her as the two sit and enjoy their breakfast.
For once in his life, Ash can't help but savour his food. It's been two weeks of basically nothing but hospital food and the occasional drop off of a sandwich from one of his friends. However, this breakfast was just different, there is something about when Serena cooks that just makes it special and he can't quite put his finger on it.
At times while they ate, Ash will steal a glance at Serena and smile. She will smile back and do a cute giggle at the sight of Ash's usual goofy toothy grin.
It is a weird feeling, almost losing her has made him feel even more attached to Serena. He was already in love before but now he is almost obsessed with her.
As Ash looks into her sparkling blue eyes, he thinks to himself "She is so perfect in every way. Her body and face could have been sculpted by Arceus himself. Her eyes are bright and suck me in every time. However it's not just how she looks that makes me love her. It's the fact she'll do anything to help me and cares for me more than I care for myself. She is easily my biggest supporter and my biggest inspiration at the same time. I can only hope I do the same for her. My dream only seems in reach when she is with me. before we met again, it felt so far away, like maybe I was deluded to think I could be a pokemon master. But since I first arrived in Kalos, I feel like maybe my dream could be a reality. Winning every Pokémon league and becoming a Pokémon master may seem crazy to some. But with Serena supporting me it seems possible. She just makes me better everyday. She keeps me grounded, gives me confidence and makes me feel so happy. Maybe, just maybe, we can achieve our dreams together."
Ash continues to day dream a little about his girlfriend and their future until his thoughts are interrupted by a male voice.
"Something smells good in here."
Serena beams a smile and greets "Hi professor, I've made breakfast and I fixed you up a plate."
Kukui smiles at the honey blonde girl and exclaims "Ah, thank you Serena." He walks towards the table and takes a seat next to Ash.
A few seconds later, Professor Burnet walks into the room and questions with worry on her face "Serena, shouldn't you be resting?"
Ash chuckles a little and adds "I told her the same thing."
Serena put on a confident look on her face and explains with determination in her tone "I've got to keep moving around and getting back on my feet if I'm going to become Kalos queen. Yes it'll hurt me at times but I need to fight through it to get stronger!"
Kukui chuckles a little at Serena's clear determination and replies nonchalantly "I should have known."
Burnet smiles and exclaims "Such determination Serena, truly very admirable. Thanks for cooking for us, I'm going to miss having you around. Both of you."
Serena gasps a little and puts a stunned look on her face. Ash has a similar expression on his face as he questions "Wait, how did you know we were leaving?"
Kukui smiles and explains "That's what people like you do Ash. After one success you move on to the next challenge, that's how you keep improving right."
Ash feels a grin rise up into his face as he pumps a fist and shouts in a passionate tone "That's right! Although, my next challenge isn't about me. It's to help Serena prepare for the masterclass! Don't worry though, I'll still be training hard. There's still so many strong trainers left to beat. Plus I've got my Alola league title to defend, I'll be back in Alola before you know it!"
Kukui smiles at the young champion's words before something pops into his head. He shakes his head and remarks "That reminds me, you still need to pick your first elite 4."
Ash raises an eyebrow at the sudden topic and replies "Your right, so who are my options?"
Kukui smiles and explains "Nanu and Hala have already agreed to join upon my request. The other two spots are completely your choice."
Ash smiles at the announcement of the first two members and exclaims "That's great news, they're strong trainers to say the least. They'll be a good test for whoever can win the league."
Kukui nods and exclaims "I agree, I think they are the two strongest kahuna's. So what about the other two?"
Ash smirks a little and responds in a knowing tone "I've got two in mind but I need to ask them first. I'm sure I'll see them at some point today."
Burnet raises an eyebrow at Ash's statement and questions "So your going to be leaving tonight?"
Serena smiles as she answers for her boyfriend "Yeah, we're going back to be going back to Kanto tonight. I can't wait to meet Ash's mom and the rest of his Pokémon."
Kukui tilts his head and questions "Ash, how are you getting back to Kanto? The airport's still shut."
Just then Kukui heats a large roar outside as Charizard lets his presence be known. He sighs and whispers "Should of known."
The other 3 laugh for a second at Kukui's reaction. After a few seconds, Burnet questions "So what's your plan for the rest of the day then?"
Ash smiles and exclaims "Well, we we're thinking of heading out to the beach for one last time to relax. Who knows the next time we'll get the chance to be at a beach like this again."
Kukui nods at the idea and replies in a positive tone "That sounds like a great plan, we'll be here to help you pack up and see you off later."
Ash smiles a little as he exclaims "Thanks professor, but we don't need you to help us. We can take care off it all by ourselves."
Kukui feels a little offended that Ash isn't willing to take his help as he shakes his head and replies "Nonsense! We helped you into the region it's only right we see you off."
Ash smiles a little at the professor's constant kindness as he exclaims "Alright professor, thank you."
Kukui smiles warmly and replies "It's the least I can do for our champ, now get going you two. The sun is just perfect around this time."
Ash nods and remarks "Yeah your right professor." He gets up from the table and holds out his hand towards Serena.
He smiles down at her and questions "Shall we?"
Serena giggles a little at Ash's gentlemanly gesture before she takes his hand. The two quickly grab their things for the day before they head out to the beach hand in hand.

Ash and Serena make their way to the beach not far from the professor's house. Thankfully no one has discovered their secret spot yet so they have all the privacy they need.
They both get changed into their swimwear in the changing booths before they set out some towels to lie on as the two prepare to spend the day together.
They quickly release their Pokémon to go and spend their time on the beach with them as well. After the last few weeks of constant action they definitely deserve a relaxing day off like this.
Brionne, Pancham and Exeggutor, play together in the sea as Pancham uses the dragon type's height as a make shift diving board, completely ignoring Serena's calls not to go too far out.
Both Pikachu's do a little training as Pikachu trains his daughter how to power up her thunderbolts. After training, they play a game of tag as they chase each other along the hot Alolan sand.
Sylveon and Braxien both sit relaxing together in the sun while occasionally having some girl talk between the two. Sylveon constantly looks over to her adopted daughter playing with her new mate and beams a smile at the two getting on so well together.
Meanwhile, Absol is surprisingly active, doing some performance practice with flamethrower and dark pulse as she uses them to create many incredible combinations.
Serena watches her strange dark type in awe at her skill. However as good as she is, she spots several ways in which she can improve her technique. She almost gets involved at one point, but chooses not to. She decides it's better to observe for now as it's the first time in ages that Absol has shown her any interest in performing. While she would love to go practice with her, she decides it's better to let Absol take it one step at a time. Plus there is the small issue that Ash has put her on a performance ban for the day.
Meanwhile: Lycanroc, Toucannon, Incineroar and Kommo-o are all having practice battles while Charizard seems to be coaching them all. The battles are fierce and full of action but at the same time, used as a learning experience as Charizard gives them all tips on how to improve. Incineroar in particular, takes on Charizard's words of advice as he makes sure to note everything his mentor says.
Ash thinks about getting involved to do some special training. However, Charizard seems to be doing such a great job so he decides to leave him to it. The training he is doing is the same Ash would have done anyway so there's no need for him to take over.
In truth that is no surprise as he thinks to himself "Apart from Greninja and Pikachu, I think Charizard knows my battle style better than any other Pokémon. Plus any lesson learned from Charizard is a good one."
Ash decides like Serena to leave them to it. Plus Serena only agreed to the no performing policy if Ash agreed to a no battle policy for the day.
With both of their Pokémon distracted, it was the perfect excuse for Ash and Serena to focus solely on each over and turn this into a mini date in a way.
For a while they lay in the sun, just enjoying each over's company. They spend a lot of time talking about each other's journey's thus far. Serena tells Ash more about her Hoenn journey and the sort of things she got up to there. Ash speaks about everything that went on in Alola, despite Serena spying on most of it unbeknownst to him.
The conversation soon shifts to talking Ash and Charizard's past successes. Serena is pretty interested to hear this considering she's never really heard a whole about Ash's past adventures.
Ash speaks at length about some of his biggest victories with Charizard. He explains in detail his wins against: Gary in the Johto league, the battle against Blaine's Magmar, the battle frontier, more specifically his first time beating a legendary pokemon against Articuno and finally, his recent win against none other than Reshiram.
Serena can't help but smile and admire Ash's successes as he speaks with clear passion in his tone. Sure there is a hint of regret that she's missed 5 and a half years of his journey with him. However, all that time had made him who he was now, and now she'd never miss anything at all now because they're always connected.
Ash is about to go into some of his and Charizard's many setbacks when he notices that Serena looks like she's burning up a little under the hot Alolan sun. She looks a little red in the face and struggling to deal with the immense heat.
Ash thinks about it for a moment until he realises it makes sense. Serena is of a fairer complexion than him so she burns up easier in the sun. That's probably why she insisted on putting on so much sunscreen earlier.
Ash knows she needs to do something to cool her off. He thinks of a plan as he smiles at his girlfriend and remarks "Hey babe, you look a little hot. Well in more ways than one. Why don't we take a dip in the sea to cool off."
Serena smiles and giggles at Ash's statement. While she knew he meant the other way initially he recovered pretty smoothly to say the least.
She shakes off her thoughts and thinks for a second. She is definitely in favour of the idea, in fact going in the sea is something she's wanted to do with Ash for a while. However there is one problem that she has to admit first, something she feels is a little embarrassing.
Serena shakes her head and frowns as she replies "Ash I'd love to but I can't swim. I've never had anyone to teach me how."
Ash smiles reassuringly at his girlfriend and exclaims in a positive tone "Don't worry about that Serena, I'll teach you when your better. I promise won't go deep so you can stand up. If you get scared at all then you can hold on to me."
Serena smiles at Ash's considerate nature and replies "Okay then Ash I trust you, let's go."
The two walk towards the sea hand in hand before they step into the clear blue sea. Today is the perfect day for a little swim, the waves were tame, almost like a lake meaning they could just float on the water and relax while cooling themselves off.
They both head deeper into the water until it's deep enough for both of them to get their shoulders in. They both practically float on the shallow water as they let the water drift over them peacefully.
Ash smiles at Serena and exclaims "See, it's not that bad right?"
Serena smiles and replies in a positive tone "Your right Ash, the water is really refreshing."
They lounge around in the sea for a while as they both just enjoy the sound of little waves sloshing through the water.
Eventually they decide to play a little game as they both take it in turns to try and spot wild Pokémon.
Ash takes this a little further as he puts his puts his head under water in search for more Pokémon.
However, he ends up getting distracted as he finds something else. A sight more alluring to him than any water pokemon.
Serena's blue bikini, glowing amongst the clear sea.
Ash instantly finds himself in a trance as he struggles to avert his gaze. He dares not to turn away as he holds out for as long as his breath will let him.
Eventually he resurfaces thanks to the need for oxygen. Ash reappears in front of Serena while looking rather dazed, like for some reason he was just entranced by something.
It doesn't take Serena long to figure out what he had his eyes on as a smirk appears on her face. She is glad she can make have Ash have these sort of reactions. Best part is she'll be the only girl to ever make him have these reactions.
Serena takes a second to think of how she can use this to her advantage before she splashes Ash with some water to snap him out of his trace. Serena giggles a little as she teases "Looks someone had their eyes caught on something and I know it wasn't that Magikarp. I think it's something you shouldn't really be looking at."
Ash scratches his head nervously and admits with red on his cheeks "I'm sorry Serena, I guess you catch my eye even more than Pokémon. I shouldn't have done that."
Serena chuckles to herself at how quick Ash always is to apologise to her. She thinks to herself "More than Pokémon. Serena you are definitely doing something right!"
She smiles at him reassuring before putting her plan in to action. She winks at Ash playfully before turning around and walking away with a swing in her hips. She turns around towards him while walking away and exclaims in teasing tone "There's no need to be embarrassed Ashy, I like that you WOOOWWW!!"
Suddenly, Serena suddenly slips under water as she steps out too far to a place where she can no longer stand up due to a sudden drop in the bank.
Ash quickly springs into action as he runs over and pulls Serena towards him. Serena scrambles as she desperately tries to cling onto Ash to stop herself from going underwater.
In her panic, She ends up clinging on to Ash with one arm around his neck and the other on his shoulder as her legs wrap around his waist to stop herself from falling. Ash fumbles around as he repositions his hands and places them on the top of Serena's hamstrings to prop her up.
Serena's face turns pure red as she finds it's her turn to be embarrassed at the current position they find themselves in.
Ash sighs in relief and exclaims "That was a close one, maybe we should head back?"
Serena catches her thoughts as she thinks about the situation their now in. Being Ash's arms like this she begins to feel safe. Being this close to him is so exhilarating to her. She lowers her arms down from his neck and places one on his muscular shoulder. She takes the other and places it just below by his toned chest for balance.
She gives them a small rub as blushes furiously and wraps her legs a little tighter around him as she questions in a nervous tone "Ash, can we stay like this for a while? I don't know why but I feel really safe with you."
Ash chuckles a little at Serena's question while also enjoying the closeness between the two. He smiles reassuringly and replies "Sure princess. Anything to make you happy."
Serena beams a smile and tightens her grip on Ash's muscular shoulders. She instinctively leans forward and puckers up before locking Ash in a loving kiss. Ash smiles before he returns the kiss with the same love as Serena.
After 20 more minutes in the sea of pretty much staying in the same position, the two decide to get out thanks to a sudden rumble in Ash's stomach.
The two dry off and lay out on the beach for a picnic. The Pokémon are quick to comeback for lunch too as Ash hands them each a bowl of food and Serena gives them each a Pokepuff, each made for their specific type.
Charizard in particular enjoys his first taste of a pokepuff specifically designed to him. This pokepuff is designed to incorporate both features of fire and dragon type Pokémon. Although Charizard isn't a dragon type, he certainly has the characteristics of one and even has two dragon type moves in his move set.
With their pokemon taken care of, Ash and Serena sit down to eat some sandwiches which they had prepared before hand. They each eat their sandwiches while making small talk. For dessert, Serena has made Ash favourite, her famous macarons.
Ash looks at the delicious treats with stars in his eyes as Serena puts the basket down between them. As she does, Ash feels a wave of nostalgia gloss over him. He smiles lovingly at Serena and questions "Do you remember when we did this at summer camp. The time we shared those macarons under the tree."
Serena beams a smile back at the happy memory as she exclaims in an excited tone "Yeah that was only the second time we met! I thought you wouldn't remembered that though. You couldn't even recognise me when we first met back in Kalos."
Ash scratches his head nervously and admits "Sorry, I only remembered the straw hat and the Poliwag, but lately those memories have been coming back. Maybe I suppressed them because I missed you so much as a kid?"
Serena takes Ash's answer as she thinks back to that day. She suddenly breaks into a fit of giggles as she remembers a certain thing Ash did that time. She grins at him and questions "Do you remember what else you did that day when I tried to give you a macaron."
Ash thinks for a second before he facepalms at his childhood stupidity. He sighs and exclaims "Can we can skip that part this time please."
Serena wags wags her finger and teases "Ah ah ah!" She reaches into her basket and takes out a macaron. She holds it out in front of her and remarks in a teasing tone "Say ahhhhh Ash!"
Ash thinks for a second about just refusing and taking the macaron from her hand. However, he notices a small little disapproving look as he reaches his hand out to grab the macaron from his girlfriend. Yeah by now he knows better than that and decides to what she says.
He gives in as he opens his mouth wide and says "Ahhhhhhhhh!!!"
Serena giggles and teases "Here comes the airplane." She takes the macaron and places it right in her boyfriend's mouth. He closes his mouth and chews it as a bright smile appears on his face from the familiar taste.
Serena smiles and questions "So, what do you think?"
Ash pumps his fist and exclaims "Awesome! Even better than I remember!"
Serena smiles and mentally cheers at Ash's positive response. She exclaims in a happy tone "Well I told you I'd make them again for you and there's more where that came from!"
She goes to reach down and grab another one but Ash's hand stops her in her tracks. She looks up to see his smirking face as she begins to become a little concerned.
She frowns slightly and questions "Ash, what's wrong?"
Ash's smirk only grows bigger as he whispers "It's your turn now Serena."
Ash returns the favour as he forces Serena to eat a macaron from his hand. After a few minutes, the two finish feeding macarons to each over (I know seriously get a room you two) and lay out on the beach again.
They relax under the sun as this time, they talk more about their future plans. Serena speaks about her plans for the upcoming performances and how she'd love to become Kalos queen as well as perform across the world. She wants to become an idol as such and someone for people across the world to look up to. Although she wants to do it on her terms and do this while travelling along side Ash.
Speaking of Ash, he speaks about his plans to beat some of the leagues he's lost previously. In order to become a pokemon master, he needs to beat all the recognised pokemon leagues and, as far as he's aware, he's already competed in them all.
Serena suggests trying Kalos first, as the kalos league starts right after the master class. However, Ash says he's saving the Kalos league for last as he promised Alain a battle on the biggest stage and there is non bigger than for the tittle of Pokémon master. Plus that is Greninja's fight and he couldn't do that battle without him, truth being if he tried he was sure to lose.
Eventually Ash says he thinks he that he might start from his first and work his way up. Kanto is what he wants his first rechallange to be but he has to see when it was next being held. However, he reiterates that when he starts to re challenge pokemon leagues, he only wants to do it if Serena is travelling with him.
They both agree to that sentiment as they promise to be with each other when that eventually happens.
After another 2 hours of nothing but them, it is time to head back. They still have lot of packing to do still. However, right before they were about to leave. They are greeted by 4 familiar faces.
Lillie beams a smile upon seeing the pair and exclaims "I thought we might find you here."
Serena turns around to spot the group of 4. She smiles back and greets "Lillie, Mallow, Kiawe, Gladion, it's good to see you all again."
Ash nods in agreement with his girlfriend and adds "Yeah, we were going to find you guys later on to talk."
Gladion rolls his eyes and remarks in his usual edgy tone "Of course you were, so what are you two lovebirds up to anyway?"
Ash smiles and replies in a happy tone "We were just spending some time at the beach together. It was basically a little mini date I'd say."
Serena nods and hums in agreement "Hmm hm, yeah it was a lot of fun. We've spent the whole day here together pretty much."
Mallow smiles and exclaims "Well, it certainly sounds like you had fun."
Lillie squeals a little at the cuteness of the whole situation and shouts "That's so romantic!! You see Gladion, if Ash can be strong and have a romantic side as well then why can't you!"
Gladion scowls at his younger sibling's shenanigans and snaps "Enough Lillie!"
Everyone breaks out into laughter at the siblings usual argument. After a few seconds, the laugher calms down as Ash smiles and exclaims "I'm glad your all here actually, We have something we need to tell you all."
Kiawe nods and replies with a small chuckle "So do we Ash, so do you want to go first?"
Ash nods in agreement and remarks "Sure we'll start." He takes Serenas hand in to his own and intertwines their fingers before he announces "I just want to let you know that both of us are going home to Kanto tonight. I know it's a little sudden but we need to move on to the next adventure to achieve our dreams and get stronger. Serena needs a quiet place to prepare for her next showcase and I'm obviously going to help her anyway I can. Alola's been very kind to both of us and we really appreciate all of you for being a part of our journey thus far. Don't worry though, we'll be back one day and we promise we'll visit you all again."
The four take a second to process Ash's words before Mallow lets off a knowing smile and replies "We're certainly going to miss you both, but we kind off guessed it."
Lillie nods in agreement and adds "Yeah, you guys travel to new regions all the time right so it's no suprise that you need to keep moving. In truth we'd have been more surprised if you decided to stay longer."
Ash smiles a little and exclaims in a whole hearted tone "Thank you all for understanding, don't worry though. We'll be back one day, I've still got a title to defend. That actually brings me on to my next point perfectly."
Gladion raises an eyebrow and questions "What is it Ash?"
Ash smiles at the group and explains "Well, I've got to create Alola's first elite 4 now that I'm the champion. I've already got the first two slots filled so I've got 2 more to decide. Thing is, I know exactly who I want to fill those spots. Gladion, Kiawe, I'd like both of you to be my final elite 4 members."
Everyone gasps a little in shock at Ash's request. It's certainly a big role to ask of them but Ash is confident in them both that they are more than capable of fulfilling those duties.
Mallow raises an eyebrow and questions with a hint of shock in her voice "Are you serious Ash?"
Ash smiles brightly and nods, he exclaims in a confident tone"Yeah and I know they'd both be excellent elite 4 members. I know you wouldn't let me down. In truth you are both my first choice."
They both take a second to mull over the decision before Kiawe steps forward. He extends his hand forward and answers "Ash I accept. It would be my honour to be in your elite 4. I promise that I won't let you down."
Ash beams a smile as he he extends his hand forward and gives Kiawe a handshake. He nods and replies in a confident tone "Thanks Kiawe, your going to be great I know it. It's an honour to have you onboard."
Kiawe nods to his friend before he takes a step back towards the group. Ash turns his attention towards Gladion who looks deep in thought. Ash raises his eyebrow and questions "So, what will it be?"
Gladion takes a second to think it over before he lets off a deep sigh. He shakes his head and responds "Ash, it's a great offer. But I can't accept this."
Ash tilts his head, slightly confused by Gladion's response and questions "Gladion, if this is about not being champion then don't worry. You'll always have the chance to challange me if you beat the league winner. Your not giving up the chance to dethrone me."
Gladion shakes his head and replies in his usual edgy tone "It's not that Ash. I'm no longer interested in the title. The reason I can't is all about what we all came here to tell you about. You see Ash, we all have plans for the future just like you."
Lillie smiles and backs up her brother as she adds "That's right,we all knew you and Serena would be moving forward so we have to as well. That means we had to plan our future as well."
Gladion let's off a rare smile at his sister's help and finishes "That's why I can't accept this offer. Me and Lillie have a new goal which means I can't accept this."
Ash let's off an understanding smile and replies "That's fine, I totally understand. So, what are you guys all planning to do next?"
Kiawe starts off first as he explains "I'm going back to Wele Wele volcano to train with my grandfather. Then in a few weeks, I'm going to battle Olivia for the tittle of Akala island kahuna."
Ash pumps his fist and exclaims "That sounds awesome, I can't wait to have another kahuna in my elite 4. I know your going to beat her Kiawe."
Kiawe smiles at Ash's support and adds "Thank you Ash, I won't let you down."
Mallow smiles as she explains "I'm going to partner up with my dad and my brother in the restaurant business. I'm going to be running the Akala island branch. I have so many new recipes I want to try to implement, plus Serena's deserts to add to the menu as well. I'm also going to be helping Kiawe with training when I can. I've also got my own class at the school to teach kids a cooking class weekly."
Serena beams a smile at Mallow's news and exclaims "That's great news Mallow, and thank you for adding my deserts I showed you. I hope your customers like them."
Mallow smiles at her friend and adds "I'm sure they will Serena. I've never met anyone who doesn't like your baking."
Finally, Lillie beams a smiles and exclaims "Me and me and my brother are going on our own journey to a new region, we're going to find our father."
Ash gasps a little in shock as he raises an eyebrow and questions "You guys think he's still out there?"
Gladion shakes his head and replies with determination clear in his tone "No I don't think he is. I know he is. I can still sense that he's out there somewhere. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm not giving up until he's here safe. I want my family to be whole again and I'm making sure I make that happen."
Ash feels the determination burning of Gladion. He can tell he really thinks he can do this and Ash truly believes him. He lets off a smile as he pumps his fist and shouts "Then I can't wait to meet him!"
Gladion let's off an edgy smile and extends his hand towards Ash. Ash meets it with his own as the two rivals shake hands. As they shake hands, Ash puts a competitive smirk on his face and adds "But the next time I'm here. I still want to have a battle with you."
Gladion smirks replies "This time I'm going to beat you, champion or not."
Ash gives him a competitive grin and simply remarks "We'll see about that!"
Meanwhile, Serena gives Mallow a small goodbye hug which she returns. Serena smiles as she tells her friend "Take care of yourself and always remember just how great you are Mallow."
Mallow smiles at her friends words and replies "I won't Serena, and take care of the champion for us all. Also, good luck in the masterclass, we're all going to be cheering you on here in Alola."
Serena puts a determined look on her face and exclaims "Thank you! I promise you I'll do my very best and I won't let this region down!"
Ash moves on and shakes Kiawe's hand. He smiles at his 3rd elite 4 member and remarks "Take care of yourself Kiawe and remember to keep training. My third elite 4 member needs to be strong to keep me on my toes."
Kiawe nods and replies in a determined tone "You bet Ash, I won't let you down."
The two break apart as Lillie runs over and tackles Ash into a hug. She tightens her grip on him and exclaims "Take care of yourself brother and don't do anything stupid. Also if you do anything to hurt Serena I swear I'm going to...."
Ash cuts her off as he returns the embrace and replies "Okay Lillie I get it. I promise I'll behave. You look after Gladion okay."
Lillie beams a proud smile up to Ash and exclaims "I will Ash! You can count on me!"
The two release their hug before Lillie runs towards Serena and locks her into a hug with the same force. Serena gasps a little from a shock of pain in her ribs and winces a little from the tight hug.
Lillie frowns at the realisation that her hug was a little too forceful. She puts her head down in shame and mutters in a low tone "Sorry Serena, I totally forgot."
Serena takes a second to shrug off the pain before she puts on a reassuring smile and pulls Lillie into a gentle hug. She giggles a little at the younger girl and apologises "I forget myself sometimes, don't worry. Promise me you'll be strong on your journey and remember to keep that smiling face of yours okay. A women I admire a lot once told me it's a great asset to have. When times are tough on your journey just remember to smile and take everything in your stride."
Lillie takes in Serena's advice as a smile appears on her face. She nods and replies "I will Serena. Make sure to take care of Ash for us and if he's being a jerk, call me. I'll call Nebby and tell them to hit him with a sunsteel strike!"
Serena laughs a little at Lillie's statement before she promises "I will Lillie, you can count on it."
The two girls break their hug as the two sides stand across from each other. They all wave goodbye and wish each other the best of luck in the future while also promising to meet again one day.
Once the goodbyes are all finished, Ash and Serena head back to the Professor's house to pack up and to say one final goodbye.

A few hours later outside the professor's house, Serena and Burnet stand talking and laughing while Ash and Kukui load up the bags onto Charizard.
The two of them carry two heavy bags and dump them onto the back into a luggage holder, akin to the ones a ride pokemon wears, attached to Charizard. Upon the bags being dumped in, Charizard takes off into the sky to test how the weight is affecting his flying.
Ash wipes some sweat off his forhead and remarks "Whew, well that's the last of them."
Kukui laughs a little and questions "Where'd you get all this stuff from. It's like I'm packing up for a full house move."
Ash laughs a little back as he replies "I usual travel pretty light but staying in your house gave me more room for souvenirs and such. Plus the winner's trophy of course."
Kukui nods and adds "That makes sense, not to mention all of your z crystals as well. Plus Serena's performing gear and whole wardrobe as well."
Ash chuckles a little at the mention of Serena's luggage. In truth about 75% of the things their taking with them are her stuff.
Serena overhears their conversation and shouts over with a little frown "You know, I would have helped move stuff considering it's mostly mine."
Ash shakes his head and shouts "No way, not with your ribs! I can take performing and doing light physical exercise for strength building, but handling heavy bags is where I draw the line."
Kukui rolls up his sleeve and flexes a little as he adds "Plus it was no sweat, we're pretty strong guys as you can see."
Burnet sighs and rolls her eyes at her husband's actions as she mutters "Of course you are."
The two girls walk over as Charizard lands and gives Ash a thumbs up that he's good to go after a quick test run.
Serena stands next to Ash as the two couples face each other. Kukui wraps and arm around his wife and casually remarks "So I guess this is it then?"
Ash let's off a small sigh before he looks up at the professor's with a small smile. He nods and replies with a bit of emotion seeping into his tone "Yeah I guess it is, thank you so much professors. You've both been so kind to us both. We'll be sure to come back and visit soon."
Kukui smiles at the young man's humble statement before he exclaims "And thank you Ash, for being a champion that Alola can look up to. It's been a pleasure having you both in our region. We'll never forget the things you've done for us."
Ash smiles and replies "Thank you professor, and we'll never forget all the things you've done for us."
Serena smiles atthe two and announces with a hint of excitement in her tone "However, before we leave. We've got you a little present we'd love to leave you."
Burnet shakes her head and replies humbly "You didn't have to."
Ash shakes his head and exclaims "We knew you'd say that but we insist." Ash turns around and takes a medium sized picture frame from Charizard's back. He walks over to the professor's and hands the pair a framed photo from the coronation with the 4 of them posing with the winners trophy.
Ash smiles and exclaims "It's just a little something to remember us by."
Kukui chuckles a little and replies in a knowing tone "I think we've got enough reminders of you by now Ash, trust me on that one."
Ash scratches the back of his head and replies "Yeah, I guess your right on that one."
Burnet looks at the picture from over her husband's shoulder and beams a smile at it. She looks up at the amour couple and announces "This is a great picture, it's definitely going up on our wall."
Serena smiles back and replies in a happy tone "We're glad you like it."
Burnet smiles even more as she takes her husband's hand in anticipation. She takes a small breath before she exclaims "Of course we do, and we hope you'll like our little surprise too."
Ash puts on a confused look on his face and questions "What is it professor!"
She smiles and quizzes "Well that's just say there was another reason why were at the hospital the other day."
She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small envelope. She hands it out towards Ash and remarks "Why don't you see for yourself."
Ash tilts his head in confusion as he takes the envelope. He opens it up with Serena slightly peeking over his shoulder. Ash takes out a small piece of paper that confuses him.
On the the paper is a black picture with some sort of white thing in the middle. It kind of looks like an X-ray, he had one off those before a while back, but this looks different. The white thing in the middle kind of looks like a blob instead of the bones of a skeleton.
Serena tries to see what is it but can't get a good view from over his shoulder. She frowns slightly and questions "What is it Ash?"
Ash frowns in confusion and replies in bewildered tone "I'm not sure Serena. It looks like a thing.
Kukui face palms at Ash's stupidity as Burnet chuckles, expecting this sort of response.
In the end, Ash gives up on trying to find out what this weird thing is as he hands it to Serena. Serena take the picture and looks at it for 2 seconds before she gasps in shock.
She knows exactly what this is.
It's an ultrasound.
She looks up at the Professor's with a face of pure joy and a glow in her eyes. Her face lights up and shines amongst the night sky as she questions "Professor Burnet, does this mean that your.."
Professor Burnet cuts her off with her own face lighting up with joy. She nods frantically and exclaims "Yes Serena, our little surprise to you both is, I'm pregnant!"
Serena's face grows ever more happy as her smile widens at the announcement. She squeals with joy and shouts "No way! Congratulations both of you! I'm so so happy for both of you!"
Ash finally clocks on to the situation, thankfully he knows what being pregnant means. He smiles brightly and adds in a happy tone "Yeah, congratulations both you!"
Burnet cuddles into he husband slightly and replies with a beaming smile "Thank you both!"
Kukui wraps an arm around his wife and adds "It's a very proud moment for us both!"
Ash smiles and pumps his fist as he exclaims in an excited tone "Looks like next time we visit there'll be a baby to play with too. Man I'm siked."
Burnet shakes her head slightly as her smile grows bigger as she teases "Not just any baby Ash. The baby will be your godson."
A/N: When reading this back I kind of realised that not everyone will know what godparents are so I'll explain in brief. It was a big thing years ago I believe as a god parent was essentially a person to take care of a baby should something happen to their parents. Although that's not relevant in this case.
These days it's just a person who keeps an eye out for the kid and buys them presents come Christmas and birthdays. Or at least that's what it'll mean for Ash and Serena in the Pokémon world.
Just to note, I know this is a religious term I believe but I am not religious in any way nor is this a religious book if someone wants to bring this up.
I am not using this term in any religious way at all. It's for plot. In fact don't even think of it with that in mind.
It's just a little responsibility for Ash and Serena which will come into play later.
Especially with them being give the term 'parents' in any capacity.
If anyone has any questions or any concerns then please let me know. But I can assure you it is just a plot point.
Anyway, just wanted to clear that up, now on with the chapter :)
Serena hears this as her eyes widen in shock. She shakes her head and exclaims "Wait, you don't mean what I think you mean."
Burnet nods and remarks "That's right Serena, we'd like you and Ash to be the baby's god parents."
Kukui adds in a more level headed tone "That is if you want to, we know it's a bit much to ask but we'd love nothing more."
Serena looks back at Ash with pleading eyes begging him to accept. She goes into her own fantasy world as she thinks to herself "Me and Ash parents? Raising our own little babies. No Serena that's too much to think about right now. But maybe one day, it would be a dream come true. My only dream that I've never revealed to Ash."
Ash, obviously, has no idea what the term god parent means, However, he can tell by the bubbly look on Serena's face that she is really excited by this. If Serena wants to do this then who's he to tell her no.
Ash gives his answer as he just simply nods and smiles.
That's all Serena needs for confirmation as she just bursts from emotion. She instantly takes off and runs towards Burnet before she locks her in a big hug.
Tears of joy form in Serena's eyes as she exclaims in an emotional tone "I'm just so happy for both of you! I promise I'll be the best godmother to your son! We won't let you down!"
Burnet smiles and feels her heart warm at the young ladies reaction. She tears up a little as she embraces her back and replies "I know you won't, baby Lei will be very happy to meet you both I know it."
Ash smiles a little and remarks "Lei huh, that's an awesome name!"
Burnet sniffs back a tear and replies "Thank you Ash."
Kukui chuckles a little at the two girls reaction before he exclaims "Serena, you might want to losen that hug slightly. I know your happy and excited but you don't want to squash the baby."
Serena gasps a little in realisation before she lossens her hug. He bows in apology and replies with slight panic in her tone "I'm so sorry, I got a little too excited. I've never actually seen a baby before in person."
Burnet chuckles slightly and brings Serena into a much lighter hug. She shakes her head and remarks "It's okay dear, we're happy that your this excited."
She turns towards her husband and questions "Aren't you going to join in."
Kukui smiles and joins in the hug as he wraps his arm around Burnet.
Serena turns around towards her boyfriend with tears of joy still on her gleaming face. She sniffs before she exclaims "You too Ash! Come here!"
Ash smiles and takes a step forward before wrapping an arm around Serena while Pikachu joins in from his spare shoulder.
They all embrace in a group hug for a few minutes as they savour this moment.
After a few minutes, they break apart and begin to say goodbye. Ash helps Serena onto Charizard before climbing on himself. Serena sits behind Ash while hugging him from behind while Pikachu sits on his lap.
Kukui smiles at the couple and shouts "Take care both of you!"
Burnet smiles and adds "Make sure you both stay safe!"
Serena smiles and waves as she replies "Bye! We'll be sure to visit soon, and the next time you see me. I promise I'll be the Kalos queen!"
Burnet smiles as she gestures towards her stomach and exclaims "We'll be cheering you on all they way, all 3 of us."
This brings a beaming smile on to Serena's face as she shouts "Thank you, both of you!"
Ash smiles and shouts "Thank you both! The next time we're here, we're going to be even stronger."
Kukui shakes his head and exclaims "I don't doubt it for one second champion!"
They all smile and wave as Charizard roars before he takes off into the Alolan sky.
Kukui put his arm around Burnet as they watch the young couple slowly get smaller and smaller before they disappear over the horizon as the moon glistens amongst the Aloan night sky, radiating off the sea below.

Charizard zooms across the sky with the island of Melemele firmly behind him. As they leave the region, Ash takes a long sigh as he looks back at the region.
Ash looks down and begins to reminisce about his journey through the tropical island of Alola. He remembers all the friends he's made in the region, all the battles that took place and all the fun he's had along the way.
He remembers meeting up with Serena again, how they went on their first date here. How he slowly fell more in love with her every single day.
He remembers his Pokémon league battles, where he almost lost again but Serena was there to bring him back up. He thinks back and remembers his final battle against Gladion. He remembers how it looked bleak, like Pikachu was down and out. But he came back and won thanks to his determination. He remembers the adrenaline he felt when using 10 million volt thunderbolt and the feeling of achievement that surged through his veins once he realised he'd won.
He remembers the Team Rainbow Rocket attack. All the danger, all the chaos and the fear in the region. But he also remembers all those who he calls friends that came forward to help fight.
He remembers reuniting with past friends and rivals that day with a mix of emotions towards them. He remembers his reunion with Charizard and how he swooped into save him once again.
He remembers the moment he almost lost Serena, the psystrike Mewtwo fired off will always leave its scars.
He remembers his darkest hour as such, the time where he nearly gave into his dark side. He may have done so as well if it wasn't for the love he has for Serena.
Even with all that though, he still might have lost her if it wasn't for Greninja who came by and fought with him when he needed it most.
Finally he remembers the celebration, the champions crowning surrounded by his closest friends and family. All the people of Alola cheering for him and his Pokémon. The feeling when he finally got his hands on that trophy. The feeling of relief when he finally revealed his love to the world.
He sniffs back a tear as he looks down and wonders what everyone is doing now. He focuses in before giving a wave to a certain spot in the forest where a Ninja frog now spends his days.
That same ninja frog takes a blue sword of aura and slashes 3 wild vines before looking back at his two new legendary friends. They give him a nod of approval as Greninja looks up into the sky and nods to his trainer.
Serena has stayed silent this whole time until she notices the conflicted look on her boyfriend's face. She can feel the emotion in his body as she hugs him from behind. She frowns slightly and questions "Ash, are you okay? You seem a little upset."
Hearing his girlfriend's angelic voice is enough to snap Ash out of his thoughts. The truth is goodbyes are hard for him even after so many across his journey. However this one, is a little easier knowing he's bringing a special someone with him.
Ash turns around towards his girlfriend and places two fingers under her chin to lift her head up. He leans in and attacks her lips with a sweet loving kiss. Serena's eyes widen a little before she kisses back as the two engage in their signature dance high up in the sky, right in front of the full Alolan moon.
After a few seconds, they break apart as Ash beams a smile at his girlfriend. He moves a strand of her short honey blonde hair and exclaims with a glint in his eye "I'm great Serena. Sure we're leaving Alola but it's not the end, far from it, and you know why?"
Serena beams a smile at him. feeling relieved to see Ash's positive attitude, while slightly taken a back by the romantic gesture. She cuddles into him tighter, resting her head against his shoulder as she replies in a loving tone "Why Ash, tell me."
Ash smiles at his girlfriend's love, a love he'll always cherish until the end of time itself.
He looks ahead, towards his future.
No, towards their future
Together.
He takes a deep loving breath and exclaims "Because our new journey starts today!"

So that is it for the Alola region portion of this story.
So what did you guys think of what is basically a sun and moon rewrite up to this point.
Also out of curiosity, let me know your favourite part from this saga.
It has been a long road but he are now, moving into what I class as the pokemon journey's portion.
Which essentially means I can take the story to whatever region I want and do whatever I want.
Obviously with a narrative that makes sense, not just jumping around regions constantly.
So with that being said the next chapter will be Ash and Serena's homecoming.
It's going to be a long episode full of surprises and a few reveals...
Also I know this chapter is on the shorter side of things considering the last few chapters I've released.
But it's still over 12000 words so yeah, it's not that short.
