"THE FOG!!! THE FOG IS LIFTIN!'" Milky Miu shouted with joy as she pointed out to sea. Sure enough, the fog began to dissipate, allowing everyone to clearly see the open ocean with the sunset glowing beautifully on the deep blue surface. They could look up to the sky without seeing the eerie mist occasionally blocking their view.
"THE CURSE IS BROKEN!!" Jolly Roger Kaede exclaimed. The pirates began to cheer and hug each other. Cap'n Severedlocks placed her hands on Kokichi and Himiko's shoulders with tears in her eyes.
"I'll never ferget what ye two 'ave done fer me an' me crew," she sniffled. She leaned forward to hug them both. Kokichi and Himiko hugged her back.
"And we'll never forget you guys," Himiko said, smiling kindly at Cap'n Severedlocks.
"Yeah, you guys were definitely not boring!" Kokichi added. Suddenly, The Scurvy Lass began rising up out of the ocean.
"Nyeh! Wh...What's happening?!" Himiko asked as the boat began sailing up to the sky.
"We're finally goin' up t'the heavens!" Keelhaulin' Hina said with excitement. She happily nudged Naptime Nanami. "Wake up, Nappy! We're finally free!" Naptime Nanami woke up and saw that the ship was now soaring towards the sunset.
"OI!!! WE'RE GOIN' 'OME!! WE'RE GOIN' 'OME!!!" she exclaimed with tears in her eyes.
"I'm comin' to see ye, mum!! Don't ye worry!!" Swashbucklin' Sonia said, looking up at the sky with tears streaming from her eyes, as well.
"Hiyoko!! Yer hooks!!" One-Eye Ibuki exclaimed, pointing at Hiyoko the Hookers hooks. They were suddenly replaced with her actual hands.
"ME 'ANDS!!" she exclaimed, hugging them to her face. "I'VE ME 'ANDS AGAIN!!! OH, I CAN'T WAIT TO PAINT ME NAILS A BONNIE CORAL PINK!!"
"ME EYE!!" One-Eye Ibuki said, lifting her eyepatch. "I CAN FEEL ME EYE!!"
"AN' ME LEG IS 'OLE AGAIN!!!" cried Peko Peko-Pegleg, showing everyone that she now had two whole legs again. Each pirate gave Kokichi and Himiko hugs and kisses.
"Thank ye two fer what ye've done fer us," Sea Shanty Sayaka sobbed, giving them a big hug. "We'll ne'er ferget ye."
"I'll never forget you, too," Himiko whispered, tears falling down her cheeks as she hugged Sea Shanty Sayaka back. Sea Shanty Sayaka backed away to join her crew.
"The curse will lift..." she began.
"An' the fog will shift! To the heavens we will go!" the others joined in. "Aye! The curse will lift an' the fog will shift! To the heavens we will go!" The Scurvy Lass began to pierce through the clouds. Himiko looked down and noticed that the ship was starting to become transparent.
"Nyeh...what's happening?!" she asked.
"We're disappearin,'" Cap'n Severedlocks explained, also becoming transparent. "Our souls are finally bein' put to rest."
"Himiko!" Kokichi called from the entrance of the cabin. In his hand was Himiko's broomstick. "C'mon, we gotta go!" Himiko ran up to him and mounted her broom. With Kokichi holding onto her, she hovered off the ground and took off. She flew around The Scurvy Lass as the pirates cheered her on. With one last flight across the deck, Kokichi and Himiko waved goodbye and touched the pirates' hands before finally heading back home.
"Hahahahaaaa!!! We did it, Himiko!" Kokichi said, throwing his hands up to the sky.
"Nyeh...yeah! The fog is finally gone!" Himiko said.
"Land ho! I think that's Nagasaki up ahead!" Kokichi said, pointing to a city in the distance. Himiko breathed a sigh of relief.
"Nyeh...finally, land again," she said. They flew through the clouds far above the city of Nagasaki, which were bathed in pink and gold from the glow of the sunset.
"Wow...and to think, we went to the Nagasaki Triangle during the sunset, remember?" Kokichi asked.
"Yeah," Himiko replied. "That's really weird how that worked out."
"I wonder how everyone's going to react after we've been gone for, like, two days," Kokichi said quietly. At the thought of seeing the others again, Himiko began flying faster. After a few minutes, they arrived back home. "Aaaand there's Casa V3!" Kokichi said, pointing below them. Himiko landed in the backyard, and hurried to put her broom away in her secret magic room while Kokichi looked up at Casa V3 in wonder, glad to be back home. Himiko rejoined him, and he took her hand in his.
"Hey! You're not wearing your pirate clothes, anymore!" he said, pointing to Himiko's outfit, which had returned to her normal one.
"Nyeh...neither are you," Himiko said. Kokichi looked at his own outfit, which had also returned to normal.
"Huh...that's weird," he said. Then, he turned to Himiko. "Ready to go back in, Monkey Buns?" he asked.
"Yeah!" Himiko replied excitedly. Before they could enter through the back door, everyone came rushing out.
"There you are, Kokichi!" Kaito said angrily. "Where were you?!" Kokichi looked at him in confusion. That wasn't the reaction he had been expecting.
"Um...what do you mean?" he asked.
"TENKO!! ANGIE!!" Himiko cried, rushing up to her friends and hugging them.
"Awww, Himiko!" Tenko cooed, and hugged her back.
"Aw, Himiko, we love you, too," Angie said. "But always remember that Atua loves you more."
"Himiko, what's going-" Tsumugi began.
"TSUMUGI!!!" Himiko said, giving her a hug too. "KAEDE!! MIU!! KIRUMI!!" She rushed up to give them hugs, as well.
"Hey!! W-What're ya huggin' me, for?!" Miu asked, blushing. "N-Not that I d-don't like it, but..."
"Himiko, are you okay?" Kaede asked.
"Well, yeah!" Himiko replied. "Um...aren't you glad to see Kokichi and me?"
"We see you two all the time," Ryoma said. "You act like we haven't seen you in years."
"We were gone for two days!" Kokichi exclaimed.
"No, you weren't!" Keebo said.
"Yeah, Kokichi, stop lying!" Kaito said.
"I'm not lying!" Kokichi spat.
"Kokichi, we literally saw you five minutes ago," Shuichi said.
"You lied to us about that stupid meteor shower," Maki said.
"Meteor shower?! What meteor..." Kokichi began, then he became silent as he realized something. "Wait..." He turned to Kiyo. "Kiyo...when did Himiko ask you for help on her research paper?"
"It was earlier this afternoon," Kiyo responded. Kokichi breathed in disbelief as he pressed his hand against his forehead. No time had passed since he and Himiko left!
"They didn't know we were gone," Himiko whispered to him as she realized the same thing. Kokichi nodded at her, then faced the others with a cheeky grin.
"Nee-heehee...gotcha!" he told them.
"What?!" Kaito exclaimed.
"Haha, I guess you found me out, Kaito!" Kokichi said. "You're right! There was no meteor shower! I just wanted to trick you guys!"
"Wait, what was all that about with Himiko huggin' us?!" Miu demanded.
"Nyeh...that was just my way of trying to distract everyone so Kokichi could run away," Himiko lied sheepishly. "Sorry, everyone." The others sighed with exasperation.
"You two are so weird," Maki said, shaking her head at them.
"Yeah, let's just go back inside," Kaito said. Grumbling, the others went back inside the house, leaving Kokichi and Himiko to stare at each other in shock.
"I can't believe it," Kokichi mumbled. "It felt like days that we were in there."
"I guess time stopped out here when we entered the Nagasaki Triangle," Himiko said.
"I guess so," Kokichi said with a small laugh. "Haha...can you believe we actually broke a curse?"
"Was it even...real?" Himiko asked. "What if it was all a dream?"
"Mmm...I don't think so, Himiko. We both can't experience the same dream, y'know." Kokichi replied with a smile and a mysterious twinkle in his eye. "Besides...does that look like a dream to you?" He pointed upwards behind Himiko. Himiko looked behind her and gasped. Above the setting sun, Himiko saw a cloud shaped like a pirate ship sailing peacefully across the sky. Her eyes glistened with tears as they began to fall down her cheeks. Kokichi smiled and wrapped an arm around her waist. "You okay?" he asked. Himiko smiled and nodded at him.
"Yeah," she whispered softly and leaned her head against his shoulder. The two watched in serene silence as the sun dipped below the horizon, and the pirate ship cloud faded away into the starry night.
