- Chapter 46 -
"He's right." Hyunjin says. "This is all a sick game to Chan, and I know I'm not the only one who knows that." He looks around at everybody. "Blair's love to chase things, but they also love to kill. So if we don't get going, we're going to be another case to him."
He looks to Seungmin, who just nods his head. "Okay, but we need more weapons." He says. "There is a weapon room in the south wing, which is not that far away. One of us can go, and the rest can meet then somewhere else."
"I'll go." Felix says.
"Are you sure?" Minho asks. "I don't want you to be alone if you're still scared, Felix." He says.
"I'm not scared anymore." Felix shakes his head. "I'll go, and you guys can meet me upstairs or something." He looks to everybody for approval, and they all just nod.
"Okay." Seungmin says, and hands Felix his gun. "Take this just incase you meet anybody who's dangerous."
Felix nods, taking the gun from Seungmin.
"If you aren't back in ten minutes," Hyunjin starts, grabbing Felix's hand. "I'm going to come for you. So please don't shoot me when you hear me coming, okay love?"
Felix giggles. "I can't make any promises." He says, before looking back to everybody else. "If I die, don't cry. You guys are ugly criers and I want a beautiful death." He says, before he begins to slowly creep away.
The truth is, he still is terrified. However, he needs to do something in exchange for them saving him. And, it's not like the thought of death really scares him, to be honest.
It's not like he ever wants to get married, or go to Europe anyway. He could die, it will be totally okay. He passes a corner, letting out a relived sigh when he realizes his is about to make it. He counts to three, and takes a few big steps, before bolting across the great room.
He enters the south wing, and takes a good minute to just breathe. Deep, calming breaths. He has never been this anxious, and he didn't even realize he was holding his breath before he started to breathe again.
He walks down the hall carefully, walking into the weapon room at the very end. You would think they'd have a passcode on a room with walls and walls of loaded guns and sharp knifes, but no.
He starts to take a few knifes, one for each of them expect Hyunjin. He only takes three guns, but that is enough for them. He took a smaller one for himself and Hyunjin, and a bigger one for Minho. He has more experience with guns.
He turns around, but freezes when he sees Jisung standing in the door, holding a gun to Felix. He drops pulls out his own gun, aiming it right back at Jisung.
"You know, I'm not even thinking about my end of the deal with Chan." Jisung says. "I'm about to kill you right here, right now. I could care less how much he loves you."
Felix chuckles. "Is betraying people your only trait or something?" He ask sarcastically. "That's sad, that that is all you are."
"You little bitch!" Jisung yells at him, anger in his eyes. He contains himself by straightening his posture and tightening his grip on the gun, trying to come off as more intimidating.
"I don't even know why you are doing this." Felix says. "We could have had everything together. You are just ruining your own life by trying to ruin mine, I hope you are aware of that."
"Ruining your life is what I have dedicated my whole life to." Jisung says.
"Jisung, I don't think you realize how sad that is." Felix says. "You have been driven by what, jealousy? Hatred? That's not going to get you anywhere. You are just wasting your life, when we could be living happily together."
"You took everything from me!" Jisung yells.
"Jisung," Felix says, taking a step closer. "I didn't take anything. I don't think you understand. We have always been equal." He says.
"You're wrong!" Jisung yells. "You're lying to yourself!" His words echo through the room, and his eyes begin to tear up. "It's always been you! Everybody loves you, not me!"
"It's always been you, Jisung." Felix says. "Everybody always loved you, and I looked up to you so much. You were my everything, Jisung. I don't think you even realized how much everybody loved you. I think your brain just drowned that part out."
Jisung stares at Felix with painful eyes. It's all starting to come back, all the memories. How everybody looked up to the both of them. However everybody told him how great Felix and him were. Felix is right. His brain just drowned out the part where everybody loved him too.
"No!" Jisung shakes his head in denial, sobbing. He has spent everyday of his life since the plotting against Felix, all because his brain didn't let him feel loved. "No! You're wrong!" He says, hoping denying it would make it untrue.
"Jisung." Felix says. "I loved you. We could have been something together, why do you have to do this to me?" He ask painfully, his own tears falling down his face.
"Stop lying to me!" Jisung screams. "I have to kill you, it will make everything better!" He says, not even taking a chance to stop and think.
He is so blinded by the tricks his brain is playing on him, that he doesn't even realize what Felix told him is true. His eyes blue from tears, and he turns his head away- fumbling with the gun.
However, Felix reacts just as fast. Two shots echo throughout the home, one sounding faster than the other though.
Hyunjin freezes. He doesn't even realize he is running until somebody is telling him to stop. He runs through the home, not even bothering to watch out for people. He runs faster than he ever has, speeding to the south wing as fast as he can.
If that gunshot was the one that killed Felix, he is going to lose it. He cannot lose Felix now, not when he has so much longer to live with the male. He cannot lose him when they are in their prime.
He comes around the corner, entering the weapon room abruptly. Felix raises his head to look at him, sobbing. Hyunjin's eyes lower, and he sees the blood all over Felix- while he holds a lifeless Jisung in his arms.
"Hyunjin." He sobs out, looking back down at Jisung. He cups Jisung's face, sobbing. "If I did the right thing, why does it hurt so much?"
His words are so painful to hear, even for Felix. He just shot the man he has had the most trust and respect for, all because the man was delusional and jealous. It really does show that jealousy can kill.
He hates Jisung, but he feels so sorry for him. Sorry that his own brain would not let him live happily, and had to ruin his life because of some jagged memories. His own brain killed him.
He continues to sob, and Hyunjin has to use force to get him away from Jisung's body. "We have to go, Felix." Hyunjin warns. "You're shots echoed through the whole house, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who heard."
"I can't leave him." Felix shakes his head, wincing in pain.
"Felix please." Hyunjin says. "I know it hurts and I know you love him, but you have to let him go. You have to realize what he is putting you through, and think of the others who are relying on you. 'Cause I know I am." He says.
Felix looks at him, and nods his head. Hyunjin is right. He has to save the people he has left, the ones who actually care about him. He steps over Jisung's body painfully, trying his best to ignore him, and him and Hyunjin leave the room. Felix doesn't look back,
Leaving behind his best friend.
