A further week of travelling later Ash and the gang finally make it to Brocklet hill. Nothing really notable happens on their way here apart from the usual training and everyday shenanigans. The gang stand outside the gates to the trial area as Ash takes a deep breath.
"We're finally here," he says as they reach the gate. Kiawe puts a hand on Ash's shoulder and says "you sure your ready." Ash smirks and says "I'm always ready." The group shake their heads as Ash heads inside followed closely by the rest of the group.
Ash opens the gates and gazes inside. He looks closely at the battlefield and notices that it's a in a rocky area but the battlefield it's self is of pure water with only a few dozen platforms for Pokémon of other types to jump from. Ash knows having no water type Pokémon could be a disadvantage in a terrain like this but just a glance at the battlefield gives him a few ideas of how he can turn this into his advantage.
He looks up from the battlefield itself and to the other side where a blue haired girl a few years younger than himself stands. "I've been expecting you Ash Ketchum." The girl says with a small smirk. Ash tilts his head in confusion and says "how do you know who I am." The girl shrugs and says "your known for many things but the only one I care about is that your the trainer who took 3 kids out of school for a journey around Alola."
Ash shrugs and says "yeah I did but why would you care about that." The blue haired girl says "because you've done something that i admire and gone against the Alola system just like me." Mallow raises an eyebrow and says "just like you." The blue haired trainer says "I was told that school was the only way but I thought different. I went against the wishes of my elders and became the youngest ever trial captain. That is why I am known as Lana the water type rebel."
Ash shrugs and says " I never went against anyone's wishes I just did what I thought was right. But I'm not here to get into politics I'm here to challenge you for the waterium z." Lana smirks and says in response "you want to get right down to business huh. Very well I accept your challenge please step onto the battlefield."
Ash nods and steps into his trainer box with Pikachu on his shoulder. The rest of his companions make their way into the stands as the referee speaks. "This will be a 3v3 battle between the trial captain Lana and the Challenger Ash Ketchum from pallet town. The battle will be concluded when either sides pokemon are unable to battle. Trainers please send out your first Pokémon.
Lana takes a pokeball from her pocket and holds it in the air. She throws it forward and shouts "Dewpider your up." The pokeball lands and a small bug like Pokémon emerges from it. Ash tilts his head and says "who's that Pokémon." He scans it with his Pokédex and reveals that it's Dewpider a bug and water type pokemon. Ash raises his eyebrow and says "a bug and water type huh." He takes a pokeball off his belt and throws it forward while he shouts "Litten I choose you."
Litten lands on the battlefield and purrs at his opponent. In the stands Lille tilts her head and says "a fire type against a water type trainer." Kiawe nods and says "while it may be strange it's not unheard of, I'm sure Ash has a plan."
Back on the field Lana says "that's a bit of a rebellious move using a fire type against a water type." Ash pumps his fist and says "it's just a gut feeling." He looks down at Litten and says "this is our first battle Litten let's make sure to give it everything we got." Litten nods and says "Lit ten Lit." The referee steps in and says "both trainers ready." Both trainers look at each other and nod. "In that case let the battle begin."
Lana uses the first move of the battle as she shouts Dewpider "use bubble." Dewpider nods and opens his mouth and shoots a ray of bubbles towards Litten. Ash puts his hand forward and shouts "Dodge it." Litten nods and runs forward gaining a head of steam while moving side to side to dodge the incoming attack.
Ash decides to use the momentum Litten has picked up from dodging and turn it into offence. "Use fire fang." Ash shouts as Litten opens his mouth while moving towards Dewpider with fangs emanating with fire. Litten bites down on Dewpider as the move connects. Dewpider stands back a little from the impact but overall takes the attack quite well.
Ash raises an eyebrow in confusion as he expects the fire fang to do major damage but instead it has little effect on the spider pokemon. Lana smirks and says "are you surprised." Ash scratches his head nervously and says "a little I thought it would do more considering it's a neutral hit." Lana smirk grows bigger as she explains. "That's Dewpiders ability water bubble. It halves the damage from incoming fire type moves while doubling the damage of Dewpider's water type moves."
Ash smirks and says "that's quite the impressive ability but me and Litten are more than up for the challenge." He points his arm forward and shouts "Litten use bite." Litten nods and rushes forward towards Dewpider with his fangs on full display. Lana counters this as she shouts "use lunge." Dewpider nods and zig zags forward before lunging towards Litten. the two attacks collide and both pokemon are sent back towards their trainers.
Lana smirks and says "now it's time for our signature use sticky web to trap Litten." Dewpider leaps into the air and releases a spider web that falls quickly towards Litten. Lana expects Ash to be completely dumbfounded by this however Ash has a plan as always. Unlike most trainers this isn't his first time facing sticky web. "Litten use ember to destroy the web."
Litten nods and takes a deep breath before exhaling a strong ember towards the sticky web in an attempt to destroy it. This is successful but with Ash's attention so focused on blocking the sticky web Lana uses the opportunity to direct Dewpider to move right behind Litten. "Use bubble," she shouts as Dewpider releases a powerful bubble that smacks Litten in the back causing him to skid along the floor in pain.
Ash grits his teeth furious with himself for allowing Litten to take the hit he shouts "Litten can you still battle." Litten nods his head yes and drags himself back to his feet. Ash pumps his fist and shouts "alright way to go Litten. Now use ember one more time." Litten instantly breaths in and exhales sending a quick ember towards Dewpider. Lana is caught out by Litten's quick recovery and is slow give a command in response. The ember connects with Dewpider causing him to skid back towards his trainer.
Lana curses herself for getting over complacent and shouts "sticky web again." Ash smirks and says " Litten jump right through it and use scratch." Litten nods and leaps forward with his claws extended slashing the oncoming sticky web. While destroying the sticky web Lana tries to position Dewpider again as he moves begins Litten once again.
Lana smirks and says "same trick again. Dewpider finish this with bubble." Dewpider nods and sends out a ray of bubbles towards Litten. Ash shakes his head in response and says "not this time Litten use ember." Litten nods and shoots a large bunch of embers towards the bubble. The two attacks collide causing a huge amount of smoke from water and fire colliding.
Lana puts her hands to her eyes and says "I can't see a thing." On the other side Ash smirks and says "end this Litten use fire fang." Litten nods and leaps forward with fire emanating from his fangs. He bites down on an unsuspecting Dewpider as a massive explosion occurs." Both trainers watch on intently as the smoke slowly clears. Litten stands on one side panting heavily while on the other Dewpider lies with swirls in his eyes.
The referee raises his flag and says "Dewpider is unable to battle Litten is the winner."
Ash pumps his fist and shouts "great job Litten." Litten smiles at his trainer's approval and happily leaps up into the air. In the stand Kiawe shakes his head and says "you can't try the same thing twice with Ash. Lana should have known that." Mallow nods and says "that's right Ash is always good at creating counters to others counters you can't go to the well too many times. Lillie smiles at the battlefield and innocently says "I don't care about all that. I'm just happy Litten won especially with everything he's gone through."
Back down on the battlefield Lana returns Dewpider and thanks it for their efforts. She then looks at Ash and says "your the first trainer not to panic when facing sticky web. Everyone I've faced has never found a counter except for you." Ash shrugs and says "well I've faced it a few times before on my journey so it's not new to me. Although I did struggle against it myself before."
Lana smiles and says "so your experience is what made you able to find a counter. That's another reason why these kids shouldn't be in school." Ash shakes his head and says "I'm not here for that. Like I said I'm here to battle." Lana nods and takes a pokeball out her pocket. "Fine if it's a battle you want then it's a battle you'll get." She takes the pokeball and throws it forward while shouting "Brionne your up next."
An elegant looking pokemon comes out of her pokeball and smiles at Ash. Ash takes his Pokédex out of his pocket and scans it revealing the Pokémon to be a Brionne the evolved form of Popplio. Ash looks at the Pokémon in front of him before glancing at Litten. "You want to give it a shot," he asks the fire type cat. Litten nods and gets it into battle stance ready to strike.
Ash makes the first move as he extends his arm forward and shouts "Litten use ember." Litten nods and jumps into the air while he shoots out strong embers towards Brionne. Lana smirks and says "brionne into the water." Brionne nods and jumps into the water as the embers hit a floating pad on the water harmlessly.
Ash looks around as does Litten who looks a little confused. Ash cups his mouth and shouts "stay alert Litten. Brionne could be anywhere." Litten nods and scans around at the waves below. Lana smirks and clicks her fingers. Suddenly Brionne emerges from the water and shoots a beam off bubbles that smack into Litten.
Litten cries in pain upon receiving the attack and falls to the ground with marks on his body. Ash gasps and shouts "are you okay Litten." Litten nods and claws the the floor getting back to his feet as Brionne disappear back under the water. In the crowd Lillie frowns and says "if Brionne is going to hide under water how is Litten meant to land a hit." Kiawe shrugs his shoulders and says "to be honest I'm not so sure."
Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Litten and says "we can't stay still and be an easy target move around the battlefield constantly." Litten nods and jumps from pad to pad on the battlefield. Lana frowns slightly and says "try and get a lock Brionne." Brionne swims around under water and pops up to fire a bubble beam but every time she fires she misses Litten who has already jumped to the next pad.
After a few more misses Ash smirks and shouts "force Brionne to surface Litten. Use ember on the water." Litten nods and breaths in and out embers towards the water. The embers hit the water causing it to warm up. Eventually the water starts to steam up as Brionne is forced back up to the surface while panting slightly heavy.
Ash smirks and says "Litten use bite." Litten nods and leaps forward towards Brionne and biting down on her landing the attack. Lana blinks a few times as she processes Ash's counter. "That was quiet impress Ash I must admit but this is far from over," Lana says while Brionne recovers.
Ash nods and says "your right we're only just warming up." He extends his arm forward and says "Litten use fire fang." Litten nods and leaps forward with his fangs emanating fire. Lana smirks as Litten nears and says calmly "use aqua jet." Brionne nods and coats itself in water before jetting forward towards Litten. She slams into the fire type Pokémon causing him to fall back down on to one of the pads with a thud. Ash grits his teeth and shouts "oh no Litten." Lana smirks and says "finish this with bubble beam." Brionne nods in response and shoots out a ray of bubbles that all smack into Litten causing a small explosion.
Once the smoke clears Litten is laid on the ground with swirls in his eyes. The referee raises a flag and says "Litten is unable to battle. Brionne is the winner." Lana pumps her fist in celebration and says "yes great work Brionne." In the crowd Mallow says "I guess type advantage won out in the end." Kiawe nods and says "maybe so but Litten did a good job testing Brionne's stamina there's no doubt that battle will have an effect."
Back on the battlefield Ash takes out Litten's pokeball and returns him. He looks at it and says "you were great Litten now take a good rest" he looks up at Lana with a smile and says "your brionne is strong you've trained it well. Lana smiles and says "thanks it was the first Pokémon I ever had so we've been together a long time." Ash smirks as he grabs a pokeball from his belt. "In that case it's no wonder it's so strong. But I also have no doubt that I'm taking this next battle."
He takes the pokeball and throws it forward while shouting "Trumbeak I choose you." Trumbeak exits his pokeball and flies around in the air before staring at his opponent ready to battle. Lana smirks and says "a flying type hey I know just what to do with you." Ash smirks back and says "bring it on."
Lana laughs and makes the first move of the battle. "Brionne use moonblast." Brionne nods and forms a pink ball in her hands before throwing it towards Trumbeak. Ash smirks and shouts "Trumbeak dodge it then use quick attack." Trumbeak nods and swoops down dodging the incoming moonblast while a white aura surrounds him. He slams his body into Brionne slamming her back with force.
Ash pumps his fist and says "great job Trumbeak." Trumbeak circles in the air and happily cries "beak beak trum beak." In the crowd Lillie raises an eyebrow and says "how come Lana didn't command Brionne to go into the water again" Kiawe observes the battlefield and says "the water is still too hot for Brionne to swim in, however eventually it will cool down Ash needs to end this quick."
Back to the battle Ash points forward and says "now use aerial ace." Trumbeak nods and swoops down towards Brionne while surrounded by a light blue aura. Lana responds "use aqua jet." Brionne coats herself in a jet of water before shooting off towards Trumbeak. The two attacks collide and force both Pokémon back. Ash having the same observations as Kiawe knows he needs to stay on the offensive before the pool of water can cool down and decides to press the attack,
"Use steel wing." Ash shouts as Trumbeak flies back towards Brionne this time with wings coated with steel. Lana smirks as the flying type Pokémon approaches as she points her hand forward and says calmly "use icy wind." Brionne nods and inhales before exhaling a cold wind right into the path of Trumbeak. Unable to divert his flight path with so little time to dodge Trumbeak flies right into the cold winds. He struggles against the wind as Ash grits his teeth and shouts "Trumbeak you okay." Trumbeak cries and struggles against the wind as he gets sent flying back from the super effective attack before catching himself from crashing into the ground.
Lana smirks as Trumbeak breaths slightly heavy. Ash grits his teeth and says "stay on them Trumbeak and use quick attack. Trumbeak nods and rushes forward while surrounded by white aura but is significantly slower than earlier in the battle. Ash gasps as he notices some ice on the top of Trumbeaks wing causing him to slow down. Lana smirks as she watches Trumbeak near "back in the water Brionne." Brionne nods and jumps back down into a much cooler water thanks to the previous used icy wind.
Trumbeak flies past Brionne and Back up into the air with his flight slightly disturbed by the ice on his wing. Lana smirks and shouts "use bubble beam." Brionne pops her head out the water and shoots out a bubble beam towards Trumbeak. Ash grits his teeth and says "dodge it." Trumbeak nods and flies through the air dodging the incoming bubbles. Lana has a serious look on her face as she points her hand forward and yells "bubble beam back to back." Brionne swims up and fires off another bubble beam. Ash shouts "keep dodging it Trumbeak." Trumbeak nods and continues to fly side to side up and down in the air desperately trying to avoid the bubbles.
After a solid minute of cat and mouse the ice on his wing plus the fatigue of the battle itself catches up to Trumbeak as a bubble beam slams into his wing causing him to crash back down onto the battlefield covered in marks and scratches. Ash grits his teeth and says with a concerned tone "Trumbeak you okay." Trumbeak nods and slowly flaps his wings getting back into the air. Ash grits his teeth and says to himself "we got to find a way to get Brionne out of the water." An idea pops into his head as he smirks.
Lana interrupts his thoughts as she says with a small smirk "finish this off with moonblast." Brionne swims up an throws a pink ball towards Trumbeak before disappearing back under the water. Ash puts on a serious look as he attempts to put his plan into action. "Trumbeak fly low and then use steel wing." Trumbeak decides to trust in his trainer by flying low in order to dodge the incoming moonblast. He then turns his wings into steel before turning on his side and dipping one into the water while flying straight across the pool.
The steel wing cuts through the pool of water and disturbs the flow of the the waves causing them to slowly increase in size. Lana gasps as she sees what Ash is trying to do. "Get out of there Brionne," she shouts in a panic." Ash grins and says "too late," as the waves intensify even further throwing Brionne up into the air. Lana gasp as Brionne helplessly hangs in air. Ash pumps his fist and shouts "now Trumbeak use steel wing on Brionne.
Trumbeak nods and flies towards Brionne with wings made of steel. He slams his wings into Brionne not once but twice as the water type Pokémon cries out in pain. Ash smirks and says "now wrap this up with aerial ace." Trumbeak glows with a light blue aura before flying towards Brionne and slamming his body into her causing a small explosion covered from view by the large waves.
The waves settle as in the air Trumbeak hovers while panting heavily covered in marks. On the other side in the water Brionne floats with swirls in her eyes. The referee raises his flag and says "Brionne is unable to battle Trumbeak is the winner." Ash pumps his fist and says "yes nice work Trumbeak." Trumbeak flies back happily and perches himself on Ash's arm.
In the stands Lillie happily says "Trumbeak your awesome." Mallow smiles and says "it looked bleak for a bit but Ash found a way to pull through." Kiawe nods and says "Ash's problem solving skills are just one ofnmany things that make him an elite trainer."
Back on the battlefield Lana takes a pokeball and returns Brionne thanking it for their efforts. She then turns to Ash and says "I must admit your strategy and ability to think on the fly is elite I can tell you have travelled many regions and learnt a lot." Ash says "that's right my journey up to this point has taught me so much. Nothing I have ever done is a waste of time and it's all lead up to where I am now." Lana smiles and says "I am envious. In fact one of my biggest desires is to one day set sail on my boat and let the waves take me away to new undiscovered lands."
Ash smiles and says "travelling is awesome alright." Lana smiles and says "it sure is." She takes a pokeball out and adds "but enough chitchat it's time for you to face my totem. She takes her pokeball out and throws it forward as she says "Wishiwashi your up." The pokeball hits the ground as a massive blue pokemon floats in the air and roars loudly at Ash causing him to take a step back. Ash takes out his Pokédex and scans it revealing the Pokémon to be called Wishiwashi.
In the stands Lilie gulps and says "that things looks scary" Mallow nods in agreement and says "I'm glad I'm not facing it." On the battlefield Ash smirks and says "I'll beat you no matter what." He turns to Trumbeak and says "you good to go." Trumbeak nods and takes back off into the sky ready to battle it out.
The two Pokémon and trainers stare down before Lana makes the first move. "Wishiwashi use hydro pump." The totem pokemon inhales a breath before releasing a beam of water that travels fast towards Trumbeak. Ash extends his hand and says "dodge it with quick attack." Trumbeak nods and glows with a faint white aura as he flys through the air with speed dodging the incoming water. "Now use aerial ace," Ash shouts as Trumbeak sweeps towards the Totem pokemon while glowing with a faint blue aura.
Lana smirks and says "get under the water again." Ash sighs in frustration as Wishiwashi despite his large size disappears under the water at significant speed causing Trumbeak's attack to completely whiff. Ash looks at the water and says "same plan Trumbeak use Steel wing on the water." Trumbeak nods as his wings turns into steel. He descends down to the water ready to use the same strategy as earlier in the battle.
However this time Ash is the one who pays for going to the well too many times as Lana hatches a plan. "Wishiwashi use waterfall." Suddenly as Trumbeak reaches the water Wishiwashi pops out with a powerful waterfall smacking a unsuspecting Trumbeak. Ash grits his teeth as Trumbeak is launched into the air and shouts with concern "oh no Trumbeak."
Lana smirks watching the badly fatigued Trumbeak crash towards the water as she says calmly "end this with ice beam." Wishiwashi nods and opens his mouth sending a beam off ice towards Trumbeak. The attack lands causing a small explosion but the result off the collision is never in doubt. As the smoke clears Trumbeak is seen floating towards the surface off the water with swirls in his eyes. "Trumbeak is unable to battle Wishiwashi is the winner," the referee declares. Lana pumps her fist in victory as Wishiwashi swims back up the surface and gives Ash an intimidating look.
In the crowd Lillie looks at the battlefield scared and says "Wishiwashi is one scary pokemon." Mallow smiles slightly at the young girl and says "don't worry Lillie Wishiwashi is a friendly pokemon. The big Pokémon in front of you is just a bunch of smaller Wishiwashi's combined together." Kiawe folds his arms and says "still doesn't really help Ash win."
Back on the battlefield Ash takes a pokeball off his belt and returns Trumbeak. He looks at the Pokeball and says "you did an awesome job leave the rest to us." Ash puts the Pokeball back on his belt and contemplates his final choice. While he has full confidence in Rockruff, Wishiwashi is clearly a strong pokemon and the type advantage on top of that is simply too much to chance. Ash makes his mind up and looks at the floor next to
him. He kneels down and says "you ready buddy." Pikachu nods and says "Pika pika," while giving Ash a little fist pump. The electric mouse then jumps onto the battle and sparks his cheeks at this opponent.
Lana smirks and says "here it is the famous Pikachu." Ash smirks and says "he's famous for a reason and it's not just for his good looks." Lana rolls her eyes and says "you talk a good game but can you back it up."
"Let us demonstrate," Ash says as Pikachu glares at his opponent.
Ash makes the first move as he extends his hand forward and shouts "Pikachu use electroball." Pikachu nods and flips through the air. He shouts "pika," and throws a ball of electricity from his tail towards Wishiwashi. Lana puts her hand forward and says "Wishiwashi use hydro pump." Wishiwashi opens his mouth and shoots a beam of water towards Pikachu. The two attacks clash and push each other back causing a small explosion. Ash pumps his fist and shouts "use iron tail." Pikachu nods and rushes towards Wishiwashi with a a tail made of steel. "Use iron tail as well," Lana responds as Wishiwashi leaps up out the water and slams his tail towards Pikachu. The two attack clash evenly matched sending both Pokémon back towards their trainers.
Open landing Lana is quick to react and says "use ice beam." Wishiwashi quickly shoots out an ice beam that causes Pikachu to stagger back in pain. Ash gasps and says in a concerned tone "oh no Pikachu." Lana smirks and says "use Hydro pump full power." Wishiwashi opens his mouth and shoots at a full powered Hydro pump towards Pikachu who has just got back to his feet.
Ash grits his teeth as the Hydro pump nears. He looks around and realises the predicament him and Pikachu are in. The pads for non water type Pokémon to stand on have become spread out during the battle leaving him with no where to jump to. With no time to charge up an attack to block Ash finds himself with one play. One he learnt in Kalos with another Pokémon but one he is confident Pikachu can pull off.
He smirks and shouts "Pikachu jump up on the hydro pump and use quick attack." "What!!" Everyone around exclaims as Pikachu matches Ash's smirk and jumps up onto the incoming hydro pump while a pale white aura surrounds him. Using his speed Pikachu manages to run on water heading straight towards Wishiwashi. Ash smirks and says "use iron tail." Pikachu nods and leaps into the air with a tail of iron before slamming it down on Wishiwashi's head.
Lana takes a step back in amazement before she regains her composure. She decides to go back to her tried and trusted as shouts "Wishiwashi get under the water and use waterfall." Wishiwashi nods and submerges itself in the water. Ash grins and shakes his head. "It's time to get rid of this water for good. Pikachu use thunderbolt on the water." Pikachu nods and leaps into the air with his cheeks sparking. "Pikaaaaachuuuuuuuu!!!!" Pikachu shouts as he lets out a powerful thunderbolt that hits the water below.
The water instantly turns electrified as Wishiwashi screams in pain having been hit by a powerful electric attack. Lana gasps and shouts with concern "get out off there Wishiwashi." Wishiwashi agrees with that statement and leaps out of the water now floating in the air leaving itself right in the open. Ash smirks seeing his plan coming together.
He raises his right wrist and says "I think it's time we stopped holding back." Pikachu nods in agreement with his trainer as he begins to pose. Lana raises up on of her arms as well and shouts "we're going all out as well." She starts to do a little dance as z energy transfers from her z ring towards Wishiwashi. She shouts "it's time to face the power off the 7 seas. Use Hydro vortex." Wishiwashi gathers all the water around and sends a large lakes worth towards the electric mouse pokemon. Ash has a serious look and shouts "this is everything we've got you ready Pikachu." Pikachu nods as he copies Ash's movements. They both punch the air in unison as Ash shouts "use Gigavolt Havoc!!!" Pikachu sends out a colossal amount off electricity towards Wishiwashi. The two z moves clash in spectacular fashion as a massive explosion occurs.
Everyone around shields their eyes as the smoke slowly starts to clear. On one side Pikachu stands with marks on his body as he pants slightly heavily. On the other side a small Wishiwashi is laid on the surface off the water with swirls in their eyes. The referee raises his flag and says "Wishiwashi is unable to battle Pikachu is the winner. That means the match goes to Ash from Pallet town. Ash punches the air and shouts "alright!" Pikachu jumps up into his arms as the two laugh and celebrate.
In the stands Kiawe smirks and says "he found a way to win again." Mallow nods and says "I thought Ash was cornered but he found an escape at the last second." Lille looks down to the battlefield with a raised eyebrow and says "I was really scared of that small thing."
Back on the battlefield Ash continues to celebrate as Lana returns Wishiwashi to their pokeball thanking it for his efforts. Ash looks at Pikachu and says "you were awesome as always." Pikachu smiles at his trainers praise before taking his place back on his shoulder.
Ash walks towards the centre of the battlefield where he meets up with Lana. Ash extends his hand and says "that was some battle Lana thanks." Lana smiles and takes his hand. "Thank you Ash and keep doing what your doing we're very lucky to have you in Alola." Ash smiles back and says "I'm just a normal kid nothing more." Lana shakes her head and says "normal kid or not it was a great battle." She reaches into her pocket and hands Ash the waterium z as a reward for winning.
Very soon Ash's friends make their to the battlefield where they congratulate him on his victory. Ash thanks them for their support and asks Lana where the next trial is. However before she can answer Kiawe interrupts.
"The next trial captain is someone very special to me. My very own Grandfather." Ash raises an eyebrow in shock as Mallow and Lillie shout "what!!" Kiawe smirks and says "I'm not lying to you guys." Ash's face breaks into a smile as he pumps his fist and says "if he's anything like you as a trainer then I can't wait to battle him." Kiawe smiles and says "I can't wait either. His trial area is up the top of wele wele volcano I can show you the way." Ash smiles and says "what are we waiting for let's go." The group say their goodbyes to Lana and head off towards Wele wele volcano ready for the next battle.

Honestly I enjoyed writing this one. So much in fact that I made it longer than first anticipated to the point where I ended up going overboard and getting the chapter out 1 day later than originally planned.
My bad I guess.
But I'm sure you guys would rather quality over quantity.
The next chapter will probably be the Wele Wele volcano trial as I have no filler to put in between.
We'll actually I do but there's no need for full chapters so I'll condense it.
And the Wele Wele trial will be unique to say the least.
