I was utterly wrong about everything, utterly wrong. I had doubted both Ney and Anto, but Anto was grateful enough to break down everything to me bit by bit. I couldn't help but to let my heart sink, because I know by what I had said, not only had I insulted Neymar, I had insulted his love for me which I was too blind to see.
It's been a week since Ney has taken a leave, and I cannot say I'm in my best state either. After I got to know everything, I practically died internally, and appeared dead externally. I continued to come to training regularly but everyone bawled their eyes at me as if they'd never seen me before, but I knew why they actually did.
I started to spend sleepless nights after the news, my children sometimes appearing in the living when I tried to get my mind off of it. They knew something was wrong, and I was set aback when they said it was something between me and Ney. I'm pretty sure Anto told them, because she doesn't have a zipper, I know her well.
I would love to apologize to Neymar for all that I had done, starting from physically pressuring him to insulting him, but he never appeared. The last I saw of him was that day, crying and mumbling 'I loved you' and limping away. There was no way I could stop him either, I was already more than devastated when he had given me a hint and a smack. I continued to doubt him until Anto told me, which left me shattered. More shattered to know that, I am the one who broke him.
I tried calling, texting, even visit him but all in vain. Anto couldn't help either, since she was preparing divorce papers. Yes, we're divorcing. I felt guilty, she's too innocent for this world, and an angel. But she insisted, saying she's not the one I love and that's true. We were never meant to be, but she's a lovely person, and anyone who'll be able to win her heart is even luckier. I can't believe how supportive she's being of everything, and it surprised me more when she told me she knew the sparks forming since the beginning.
Guilt ran me over completely, because of everything that was happening. Anto accepting us, me breaking Neymar, I'm devastated. I'm in a ravished state, and shaken. I love him, so much. It's too bad to believe but I love him too. I was just scared, scared to hurt Anto. I can't see myself hurting Anto either, it's wrong. I don't know what got into me and I insulted her alongside Neymar, even when all that I said was all a doubt. A doubt I was afraid is true, and I'm the old ferret being fooled here. But it was all just a doubt, and not reality. My suspicions led to the interlude which I could've avoided completely, only if I knew.

- "Anto, not again." Neymar groaned protesting against Antonella, who's striving for Neymar and Messi to hopefully re-unite.
- "Why not Neymar? Just forgive him, he didn't kn-"
- "....So what he didn't know? H-He ran my heart over with a bull-dozer as if all the days and nights I'd spent not sleeping and thinking about him, striving to love him, was all an act. But in reality, this all went down the d-drain.." Neymar isn't wrong, because it is true. Lionel had brought the interlude and it had ended in a bad note for the duo, which happened mostly because Lionel hadn't known and over-thought the whole situation.
Lionel wasn't in the wrong either. It's normal for the other to get concerned when your other half suddenly leaves, and it would irk you more than anything to know that he/she goes around with someone who you're close with. And that happens to be the case with Lionel, and the pieces are too scattered for Antonella to put together which is why either Lionel or Neymar has to be a man, and actually handle it maturedly.
It would be sensible if Neymar volunteered willingly, because Lionel had come to know about the situation way more lately than expected, and the interlude left him devastated and mentally dis-mantled, it's too much of a sudden change in life for him to handle.
- "Neymar, calm down, please. I know, I know what Lionel did to you was wrong but he wasn't exactly on the wrong side either. He didn't know about my plans, and this came to happen because of me. If I wouldn't have carried out such of a plan, nothing would've happened. None of you are in the wrong here, it's just me who's wrong.." She trailed off, smiling sadly with her orbs staring out into the busy streets. They were dull, clouded with sorrow and guilt.
Neymar fell silent, because he knew that it was the truth and it felt awful to admit it himself. Neymar still, to this day, loves Lionel with all his heart despite the incident. Yes, he did say he hates him, but it was never true. Anger and bitterness filled him when he spat nonsense about him and Anto, which left him completely broken. All the love that he had gathered for Lionel was all in vain for that moment. Lionel's calls, texts, and the time he stood by his veranda and called for him, which Neymar didn't reply to, left Neymar dis-mantled too. He could've replied hut he didn't. He felt it was wrong to do so, but still right. They needed some time apart, before they could face each other and sort things out. While Lionel knew about the divorce, Neymar didn't. Anto didn't want him to feel like a burden on everyone and a nobody than he already considers himself much as.
Neymar sighs and rubs his eyes, facing Anto, his eyes fixated on her which makes her turn too. She notices a slight glint to his eyes, indicating the green card she'd been looking for. The slightest glint of hope, and desire for love. She already knew that something great was coming, as her lips curved to a smile. Neymar need not to say more, he knew Antonella had read him judging by her relaxed and satisfied smile.
- "I know you Neymar, you'll do anything for him. You don't hate him. You can get over this, and I'm sure you already are."
- "You really read me like a book, Anto."

Although things were shifting to the bright side for Neymar and Antonella, Lionel remained messed up like he was. He wouldn't eat, would barely survive during training, and couldn't sleep at night despite the tiresome day. It explained alot, he was really devastated. He wanted to clench Ney in his embrace forever, holding him just like that, only for himself.
Lionel has been ready to accept that he's wrong without any valid reason, he just wants Ney in his life, and Anto to be happy. Every night, he wishes Neymar would be on the empty side of the bed. Every day during training, he wishes he would be able to see Neymar pranking around with everyone. And on returning home, he wished to see his beloved playing with his, no their children. But it remained in a corner of his mind, never forgotten.
It pained him, like needles pricking him, but itonically that was starting to numb him too. Lionel was starting to loose hope, where Neymar is prepared to finally bring things like the way it's supposed to be.
If Neymar's arrival doesn't happen to be on time, it would be a good for nothing, leaving him shattered for the second time now, and it wouldn't help Lionel either way. But as far as Lionel has been lovesick, he's bound to start begging at the sight of Neymar. So, everything seems to be on the positive side. Now all that is left, the finale.
The encounter that would bring all the pieces of the puzzle together.

Neymar hesitated, staning by Lionel's porch, looking over at Anto who's by the gate. She smiles re-assuringly, nodding her head. Neymar swallows thickly, his heart pounding. What if Lionel slams the door at his face? What if things go wrong? The little possiblities racked him, but at the same time, he had to get Lionel. He can't be a coward anymore, and has to avoid whatever happened. Specially the interlude, and all that said in it.
Neymar hesitantly pressed the doorbell, which took Lionel by surprise who fell asleep on the couch last night. Poor guy. Lionel sniffled and trudged to the door, not caring to look throw the peephole. Neymar fondles with the hem of his shirt as the door creaks open, their eyes meeting.
Lionel's mouth goes agape, his grip on the door handle loosening, hand falling to his side while tears welled up his eyes. Neymar's did too, his lips quivering from a downpour of emotions which hit him by the cearly ravished sight of Lionel. It ached him to look at a pained Lionel, while Lionel lost it and dropped to his knees, sobbing with his head hung low.
- "S-Sorry N-Ney..P-Please..." He managed to say between his sobs. Neymar cooed and wiped his tears, kneeling down and cupping Lionel's face with a downpour of affection. Antonella smiled in satisfaction, walking away. Her job was done.
- "Leo...forget it, you didn't mean it yeah? You knew nothing, I should've confessed. I'm sorry too, Leo...I love you m-more than you can imagine, I can't imagine living the life of a loner. Please Leo.." Neymar ranted out, finally. The confession everyone (us) was waiting to see. The showdown, the finale, the key to the puzzle. Lionel smiled widely and threw his arms around Neymar, burrying his face into Ney's shoulder kissing all over despite the fact they're still crying, but tears of happiness instead of sorrow. Everything was finally shifting back to normal, they could be one after months of waiting.

- "The love of my life, be mine, let's spend our last days together.." Kiss, before Neymar could utter a word. Lionel was too sure of Ney's answer, and places a tender kiss to complete the moment.
The duo savoured the moment, while the kids giggled by the corner of the couch, being sure to not disturb the two, letting them savor the long awaited moment.
- "Let Pai and Papa be, let's go play!" Mateo whispered, while Thiago led them, leaving Neymar and Messi, lips attached, accompanied by the pleasant warmth of the summer sunset.
