"This you, dad?" Killian asked as he got in the brand new Escalade that Amaru got straight off the lot.

Amaru chuckled as he pulled off from the school. He realized his son has been hanging around Shakur and Arman a bit too much. "This is ours, little man." Amaru replied.

"I like it." Killian said.

"Good because we'll be riding in this more than the jeeps once the baby gets here." Amaru told him.

"Does mommy like it?" Killian asked.

"We'll see once we get home." Amaru said.

Before the new school year started, Heather and Amaru agreed to have Heather take a break from teaching for a couple of years. She will go back once Jaxon and the new baby are verbal and potty trained. They are good financially—especially with the money Heather has been saving for emergencies.

Amaru picked up Micah from daycare who had a good day and they went straight home. Amaru beeped the horn as they pulled up in the driveway. Shortly after, Heather walked outside with almost eleven month old Jaxon on her hip. He was able to walk now, but he was moving a bit slow for Heather who was ready to see the car.

"Look, papa. We got the new car." Heather said to Jaxon.

"You like it, mamas?" Amaru asked as he helped Killian and Micah out of the car.

"I love it!" Heather said as she opened the passenger door. "It's so bougie—like us!"

Amaru laughed. "Hell yeah."

"Daddy, that's not good language." Killian said as he took Jaxon from Heather.

"Sorry, son." Amaru replied. "Do me a favor and take your brothers inside while I talk to your mama."

"I have some food on the table from Big Mama's house." Heather told them, making them move faster to the house.

"I got something for you." Amaru said as he went to the trunk of the car. He opened the trunk and motioned Heather to walk over. "Is it too early for a push present?"

Heather gasped when she saw the deep freezer in the trunk. They already had one, but Heather mentioned that she wanted another for her breast milk.

"Oh my gosh! Amaru, this is what I needed!" She said. "Thank you so much! I love you!"

Amaru kissed her lips. "I love you too, mamas."

Heather squealed. "Let me get my phone so I can call Mya and Nova!"

Amaru laughed and shook his head. He loved putting a smile on Heather's face and getting excitement from her.

-

"Today is the day, baby." Heather said excitedly.

With the force of Mya, Heather and Amaru decided to do a gender reveal. Everyone was praying for a baby girl—except Micah who wanted another little brother. The only people who knew the gender were Mya and Arman and they planned everything out. The boys were currently at Mya's house because they were apart of the reveal.

Amaru chuckled. "You ready, huh?"

"Yes! I'm so excited!" Heather exclaimed. "I didn't have a reveal with Micah and Killian told us about Jax so this is special to me."

"I'm already knowing, baby." Amaru said as he kissed her lips. "You ready?" Heather smiled and nodded.

The two of them exited the house and took the short drive to Mya and Shakur's house. They walked in and were greeted with kisses and hugs from everyone. Heather noticed that Arman was not there and fell into a sour mood almost immediately.

"Where's my bestie?" Heather asked.

"He'll be a bit late, but he'll be here on time for the reveal. Don't worry, baby." Mya assured her.

Heather sighed. "Alright, I guess."

"Not you doubting him." Mya laughed. "He'll be here, girl."

"Okay, Mya." Heather pouted, making Mya laugh.

During the reveal party, everyone ate and played a few games. Shortly after, it was time to reveal the gender and Arman still wasn't there which had Heather upset because this was his godchild.

"Okay, babies. Stand in front of everybody so we can see what mommy is having." Mya told the boys.

Killian, Micah, and Jaxon stood up at the front of the living room and Killian adjusted them to make sure they were in order. Killian's shirt said "it", followed by Micah whose said "is", and Jaxon's said "a".

Everyone looked at each other with confusion written all over their faces. Seconds later, Arman walked into the house with a beanie on his head.

"Where you been, dawg?" Amaru asked. "We thought you were gonna miss the reveal."

"My bad. I had got a bad haircut and I needed to get myself together." Arman replied.

Mya sucked her teeth. "Yeah, whatever. You told me you would be here in time for the reveal."

"Looks like y'all just got started with the reveal." Arman said. "I'll finish it though."

Arman took off his beanie, revealing his temporary pink hair. Heather screamed as she jumped out of her seat. It took a bit longer for Amaru to comprehend, but he was very excited when it clicked to him. Everyone else was happy as well—except for Micah who was currently pouting.

"I'm finally having my mini me!" Heather exclaimed.

"My poor niece is gonna catch hell with three big brothers." Shakur said as he hugged Amaru. "Congratulations, big bro."

"Thanks, man. I feel complete with my baby girl on the way." Amaru told him. "Now we gotta get Micah on board."

Shakur looked over and laughed when he saw Micah still pouting while Killian tried to give him a pep talk. "He'll be alright."

-

"We already have J, K, and M so I want her name to start with an L." Heather said as she climbed into bed next to Amaru who was searching for names.

"Lilly?" Amaru asked.

"No—hell no." Heather replied. "I want something a little different."

"Well—shit, how about you figure out her first name and I'll do her middle name?" Amaru suggested.

"Okay, deal." Heather agreed.

"I want her middle name to be Mya." Amaru said.

Heather smiled. "Aww, that's so sweet. You're gonna make her cry."

"I already know." Amaru chuckled.

"You think you're slick because you picked to do the middle name and you didn't have to do too much brainstorming." Heather teased.

"You wanted something different for her first name, so I'm allowing you to shine." Amaru said.

Heather laughed. "Yeah, okay."

The baby monitor went off, sensing movement and Heather looked over to see Jaxon standing up in his crib. He was whining a bit and before Heather or Amaru could get up, Killian was already there.

"Baby, look." Heather said to Amaru as she kept watching the monitor.

Amaru began to watch as Killian helped Jaxon out of his crib and placed him on his hip. Jaxon rested his head on his oldest brother's shoulder as Micah came into view and grabbed a diaper and wipes. Afterwards, they disappeared from the room and they appeared in Amaru and Heather's doorway moments later.

"He pooped and we don't do poopy diapers." Killian announced.

Heather giggled. "Okay, bring him here."

Killian did as told and handed Jaxon to her. All of a sudden, Heather tossed Jaxon onto Amaru and Micah threw the diaper and wipes onto the bed. Heather, Micah, and Killian ran out of the room, leaving Amaru to fend for himself.

"Aye!" Amaru shouted behind him. "Oh, y'all did me dirty!" He looked at Jaxon who was currently smiling. "This ain't funny, man. You're about to start potty training before you turn one."

-

Heather threw a pair of shoes out of the closet, making them hit Amaru in the head. "Heather, damn!"

"Oh! I'm so sorry!" Heather apologized. "I didn't realize you were standing there."

"It's alright. I'm just glad they weren't heels." Amaru replied as he entered the closet.

They were currently going through their closets to get rid of some clothes and shoes. Killian and Micah were at school and daycare, and Jaxon was taking his nap so Heather and Amaru weren't having any issues getting rid of some of their things as well—especially the toys.

Heather rubbed Amaru's face and kissed his forehead. "You're okay?"

"I'm good, mamas." Amaru assured her.

"Good." Heather said. "Now, finish helping me."

Amaru laughed as he did as told. He grabbed a shoebox and opened it, shocked to see so much money inside. He looked at Heather who had her back turned, not aware of what was going on.

"Heather, what the hell is this?" Amaru asked, trying not to think the worst.

"Huh—oh." Heather said once she turned around. "That's money that I've been saving up."

"For what and from where?" Amaru questioned her. "This is a lot of fucking money, Heather and it's tearing up the box. Why are you keeping money from me?"

"It's the money you give me. I've been saving it in case of emergencies." Heather replied. "I kept it from you because I know you wanted me to spend this money on myself, but I just wanted to build something we're able to fall back on."

Amaru let out a sigh of relief. "I'm sorry." He said. "Killian's mom did something similar before she left and it scared me."

"I'll never leave you, baby." Heather told him, kissing his lips. "This is for us, okay? I should've told you. I'm sorry."

Amaru nodded and kissed her back. "I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions, baby."

"It's okay." Heather said. "Now, give it back."

Amaru laughed. "Hell nah, we getting a safe for this. How much is in here?"

"Not sure. I haven't counted it in so long, but the last time I did it was close to ten thousand." Heather replied.

"Gah damn!" Amaru exclaimed. "You've been saving this since the beginning, huh?"

Heather chuckled. "Yes, this shoe box is from the townhouse."

"Shit, Heather." Amaru said. "So, you rather me put the money in here rather than giving it to you?"

"Yes, absolutely." Heather told him.

"Aight, cool. I'll be back. I'm about to get a safe." Amaru said as he handed Heather the shoe box.

"No, sir. You can get the safe after we're done with this. Don't try to escape." Heather said, making Amaru suck his teeth because he was most definitely trying to escape.

Moments later, the baby monitor went off and they could hear Jaxon whining. "Oop—I'll be back." Amaru said as he ran out of the closet to get him.

Heather scoffed and rolled her eyes. "I hope he shitted again."
