'Being called in by Kayano was my least expectation of the summer,' Y/n thought to himself. 'She said she invited everyone in the class...' He deadpanned as he was sitting in his classroom seat. '...but why am I the only one here?'
"I'm so glad that you were able to make it, Y/n!" Kayano cheered as she had a pile of papers in her hands. "I know this might be awkward for you, being the only one here and all, but I have a favor to ask you."
Y/n perked up, Kayano doesn't ask favors often and he knew this. "Hm? Well, what is it?"
Kayano smiled with excitement as she placed the pile of papers down. "I need help on some calculations."
"Calculations?"
"I'm not all that smart when it comes to math and engineering," Kayano mumbled, scratching the back of her head sheepishly. "To be honest, I'm only at taking measurements for baking. But for what I'm planning, I want to make sure that everything is perfect. So... can you help me with this?"
Y/n blinked for a moment. He then gave Kayano a small smile. "What's the plan?" He asked making Kayano's eyes sparkle with happiness.
It was now later in the day as the classroom was no filled up with the students of class E. Kayano stood in front of the classroom as Karasuma and Irina were by her side. However, one seat remained empty, making those around it question where its owner is.
"I've gathered you all here today, even though we're still on break, for a very important reason;" Kayano announced proudly. "Our nation's current egg surplus crisis!! Poultry farmers across the land are throwing out their excessive bulk!"
"Oh, that's right, I heard about that on the news," Isogai pointed out. "It's a real waste."
Kayano pointed at Isogai esthetically. "It is! So, I dropped in a proposal to salvage those poor eggs to assassinate Koro-sensei in a way that it's grantee that it's fool proof!"
The class slightly oohed at the sudden plan. "You're going to kill him with surplus eggs?"
"What?" Terakasa questioned, tossing some BBs in the air. "You're gonna make an omelet, throwing in a couple of these babies? Like he won't see that coming from a mile away."
Kayano couldn't help but giggle a bit. "I gave it a little bit more thought than that. In fact, my plan is already in motion thanks to a few helpful helpers."
"Right," Karasuma commented. "All the stuff you need been set up outside. Although, I thought I was the only one helping you out?"
"Kayano asked me to do some calculations for her before this meeting was held," a voice popped up and spoke. Everyone turned to the entrance of the room to see Y/n waving some papers in one of his hands and the other holding onto his teddy. "As of right now, seems like everything is ready."
"Ooh, I was wondering why you weren't here," Meahara commented.
Y/n just shook his head a bit. "I'm here for some calculation correction and supervising this project. Making sure the dessert doesn't fall is a priority in this mission."
"Dessert...?" The class muttered to themselves in questioning.
"'Egg'-cellent!" Kayano joked as the determination on her face didn't wash off. "Everybody to the yard!"
As everyone hurried outside, the class now stood in front of a giant mold shaped like a pudding. They all stared up at it in wonder as Kayano stood in front of it with a proud smile on her face.
"So, we have a tone of eggs and a mold, are we making...?"
"Yep!" Kayano cheered. "It's exactly what you think! We're going to whip up a ginormous pudding! I give you... Operation Pudding Popper!"
"'Operation Pudding Popper'?" Nagisa muttered. "Well, Koro-sensei does have a pretty serious sweet tooth."
Kayano put a hand on her chest. "Bingo! A recent crucial confession only confirms it! So, let's make that crazy dream a reality! And save some for ourselves, of course."
"The idea is to plant some bombs with anti-me BBs in the middle of the pudding," Y/n explained. "The bomb will be created by me with the help of Takebayashi. Once Koro-sensei eats his way to the bottom we will activate the bomb from a safe distance away and we will be able to go home."
"Yes!" Kayano pointed out. "And with exactly 20 feet of pure pudding, it will be irresistible for Koro-sensei not to eat it!"
"This is starting to sound like it's worth a shot!"
"I'm with you on that! Of course, Koro-sensei will lose his marbles when it comes to anything sweet!"
"And sine Kayano is usually not that proactive, there's the element of surprise. He won't be suspicious!"
"Alright then, let's wait till he's not around and make ourselves a giant pudding!" Isogai claimed making the whole class cheer.
Y/n helped handed out aprons and head coverings to everyone as he was wearing his (f/c) teddy bear themed apron and head covering. He had his teddy in the makeshift backpack Irina made him as he was holding a clip board that had loads of equations and measurements on it.
"This equipment comes from an inactive line in a mayonnaise factory, said to have closed down a few years ago," Y/n announced. "Once the eggs are all prepped, that along with the other ingredients will be going in here."
"Step 1, crack them. Step 2, with help from the government, we do the mixing manually," Kayano listed. "It's a lot of work but put your eyes on the prize!"
Everyone was split into four separate groups, each of them working on a layer of the pudding. Kayano was there to give a helping hand as Y/n made sure each calculated measurement was met to.
"Step 3, add sugar and milk, lots of it. Plus, some vanilla extract to give it flavor."
"Hey Kaede," one of the girls called out to Kayano as Y/n was beside her. "I saw them try to make a giant pudding on TV once and it didn't work. It weighed too much, totally collapsed. Just saying..."
"Well, with 20 feet of ingredients..." Y/n muttered as he wrote on his clip board. "Add the four... carry the 6... It will be roughly around 2,194 kilograms, or 4,836 pounds, of pure pudding if we were following the exact recipe for pudding that is."
"If?"
"That thought had occurred to me," Kayano pointed out. "Which is why we're using gelatin and auger, not common for pudding. The auger's fibers make a great coagulant."
"Plus..." Y/n added. "...it'll have a higher melting point then if we use regular pudding recipes. With the weather for summer, it'll make our pudding sustainable."
Bzzt. Bzzt.
Y/n raised a brow as he took his phone out of his pocket. He answered and put the phone on speaker. "Y/n and Kayano speaking."
"First batch is all ready for pouring!"
"Alright! Let the pouring commence!" Kayano ordered.
Y/n and Kayano looked up at the mold and noticed that the pudding was already flowing out. The hint of vanilla hit their noses as they couldn't help but smile at the scent, feeling proud of their hard work of their classmates.
"That's the way! Once that's all in, swap out with team second batch!" Kayano shouted over the noise.
"By increasing the amount of cream, which we put in each layer of pudding by 25%, The firmness of the pudding will stay consistent while also having enough stability to keep itself together," Y/n read over his notes and calculations for the last time. "It seemed like everything is going actually how it should be. After freezing overnight for eight to nine hours, the pudding will be ready to serve."
All day E class have been working hard for the pudding to be perfect. Kayano helped out wherever she could while shout out orders that needed to be done. Y/n was there making sure everyone put in the right amount of ingredients to everything, always slaving over each equation at had with large numbers.
Sooner or later, the mold was now set, and the sun was setting. Y/n couldn't help but yawn as his energy was drained from having to do so much mental work. However, he couldn't help but smile at the fact that he and his classmates did the impossible once again.
As the night flew by, morning rose as everyone was quick to gather in front of the finished mold of the pudding. Slowly but surely, the mold was removed, and the pudding stood tall and high with pride as it was filled with deliciousness, love, and a hint of killing intent.
"WE DID IT!" The class cheered.
"Wow, that sure looks delicious!!"
"You completely forget that there's a bomb planted in there!"
"All we have left is to show Koro-sensei and let everything else do its job," Y/n commented.
"Let's go!"
Finally getting everything set, Koro-sensei had returned from his trip to Brazil and stared in wonder at the huge, gigantic mountain of pudding before. His mouth was already drooling at the sight as a blush of amazement and appreciation was clearly shown.
"And.... and I'm allowed to eat this entire thing!?" Koro-sensei questioned, pointing at himself and at the huge dessert.
"Oh, sure!" Kayano said, however, her voice held a bit of hesitance. "I just didn't want those eggs going into some land fill."
"This was all Kaede's idea you know?"
Kayano chuckled in slight embarrassment at the praise and credit she was given.
Koro-sensei went up to Kayano, heartfully grabbed her hands as he cried waterfalls. "You made me so happy..." He sobbed.
"We better get going."
"Yeah, wouldn't want to be late for English."
"Now you better promise to eat every last bite~"
"NOT A PROBLEM!" Koro-sensei cheered as he took out two pairs of shovels and drool replaced his tears. "At last, my dreams come true!! THANK YOU!"
Y/n stared at how Koro-sensei was scarfing down the pudding. He couldn't help but think if Itona had the same obsession of sweets that Koro-sensei does. Oh well, it doesn't hurt to try and experiment, right?
Y/n quickly turned away as he followed his classmates into the classroom. Once he was, he and everyone else watched in slight awe that Koro-sensei was eating the huge pudding with little to no effort or struggle.
"Wow, he's really getting after it..."
"I have a feeling it won't be very long until he reached the bottom."
The class kept talking about the bomb inside the pudding that they have created, all while Kayano and Y/n seemed to be in a bit of a daze, both of them for a different reason than the other.
Kayano was thinking about all her time and effort she had put into the pudding. How she would stay up at night experimenting on how a pudding should stand and which ingredients would fit best. From flavors to sugar, she knew that her heart and soul was put into making that dessert the best anyone had ever seen and tasted.
Meanwhile, Y/n was more observing Koro-sensei than how the pudding was being eaten in seconds. If he learned anything from Shiro, it was that experimentation will always fail if you never tried it. Y/n had done his own fair share of experiments before stumbling something that could help him. However, getting the end of the experiment has always been a struggle for him.
"MY PUDDINGGG!!" Kayano's screams snapped Y/n out of his head and startled the rest of the class by the sudden uproar. "I can't let something I put my heart and soul into be blown into smithereens!!"
"Kayano take it easy!!"
"Please stop banging your head on the windows!!"
"It's a damn pudding not a family pet!" Terakasa claimed as he had to pull Kayano away. "It's supposed to be blown into smithereens!"
Kayano shouted and cried. "We can't!! It should stand in the school yard forever as a monument!"
"EW GROSS!!"
'And this is why I'm not into girls...' Y/n thought jokingly to himself as the craziness from Kayano scared him a bit.
"Whew, my jaws need a break," a voice spoke up.
Everyone paused what they were doing and looked at Koro-sensei, who had appeared in the middle of the crowd. Their eyes widened at the sudden appearance of Koro-sensei.
"By the way," Koro-sensei added. "Amid all the delicious ness, I caught a faint whiff of this." He held up a box.
Y/n perked up. "That's the bomb..." He muttered. "He defused it?"
Koro-sensei chuckled mischievously. "I ate a path from caramel to pudding to dirt and proceeded to tunnel underneath to remove it. I assume the bomb was your work, Takebayashi, Y/n?"
"Yeah..." Takebayashi muttered.
"You caught us..." Y/n groaned out slightly.
Koro-sensei started eating the bomb. "Well, both of your calculations were spot-on and if I had not picked up on the distinct scent of plastic explosives, your scheme might have very well worked. Next time, you'll both account for strange odors, right?"
Takebayashi looked down. "Right..."
Y/n looked to the side. "I knew something was miscalculated..."
"But since you all worked together to create this wonder concoction," Koro-sensei chuckled with a cheerful tone. "...you should enjoy is together! I set aside a nice clean portion for each of you!"
Suddenly a small cup filled with pudding was placed in Y/n's hand. He stared at it in wonder before he couldn't help but smile. He listened as his classmates chatted with one another with a smile on their faces even though they failed another assassination attempt.
Y/n sighed as he took a bite of the pudding with the small spoon he was given. He blushed at the pure sweetness of the pudding. How long has it been since he could have sweets like this one? It felt so long for Y/n.
A small tap was felt on Y/n's shoulder making him look up. Koro-sensei, with his own small cup of pudding was looking down at Y/n with another pudding in hand. He handed the extra pudding cup to Y/n.
"Koro-sensei?" Y/n questioned.
"That is for Itona," Koro-sensei explained in a hush manner. "Every student here gets a pudding cup, but that also means Itona too. Please, give that to him as my gift, okay?"
Y/n stared at Koro-sensei for a moment. He then nodded. "Okay. I'll give this to him when I get home."

"I have something for you. We made pudding in class today, and I wanted to give this to you."
"I'm... sorry... but my head hurts a lot right now, Y/n."
"Oh... That's okay..."
"...
"Give me the pudding."
"What? You said you didn't want it?"
"It's okay. If it's from you, I'll be okay."
"Alright... Tell me how it tastes."
"Hmm... It's... It's so good! What did you make it with??"
"Oh... Just the usual."
"Are you sure, it tastes much sweeter than regular pudding."
"I just added my own twist, nothing more. Enjoy, Itona."
"Thank you, I definitely will."
"That's... good..."
