Hey ya'll, it's been a while, and I don't even know if I'm ever gonna continue this story but with the new book coming out in less then a month I've been bursting with theories of what could happen that I just need to tell y'all so if you're interested, here's my rant.

(Go to the bottom for my theory on Sophie's father)

1) Sadly I believe Keefe may be scarce in this book, I'm even thinking we might not see him till the very last chapter, as a sort of cliffhanger that Shannon would love to torture us with, think about it, it's be the ultimate ending, I've also seen on her instagram she's shown deleted lines and none of which have been from Keefe which could just be a coincidence but still. Also, I think it's fair to assume that the first interaction between Sophie and Keefe will probably be through the imparter Grady made him take, I mean why else would Shannon write that in there? (Also y'all have read the excerpt right?) although I really hope I'm wrong because we need some Sokeefe action, I'm totally gonna die if Keefe doesn't get a line in the story but I'm prepping for worst case scenario here

2) about the Neverseen "plan" with Keefe running away. I've searched up theories and a lot of people say that the Neverseen plan could have been for Keefe to run away, but. It actually couldn't, because in Legacy we learn how Lady Gisela wanted to take Keefe right after his transformation meaning they weren't going to leave him unattended so unless they planned to accidentally release him later on this cannot be part of their plan at first,

3) What I think is Keefe's plan. Keefe apparently spun to a random facet on the crystal, so I don't think he will be looking to go somewhere familiar (London) or obvious (Amy), it's possible he's wanting to investigate the Neverseen hideouts or even the supposed murder in London but honestly I don't think he will, I mean he told Sophie to forget him, meaning he wouldn't exactly be planning to come back and tell her if he learns anything, I think he's scared and wants to lie low, although I'm wondering how he'll do so since won't his empathy skills be heightened by the humans? It's true he's been to many cities with his friends, the Neverseen, and Fintan but with his new powers I still find it odd he'd go to a place that would stress him out even more.

4) I hate that I'm going to voice this theory but here it is, I think the endgame might be for Keefe to die, at the end of the last book, I know I'm literally dying saying this but think about it, it'd be the ultimate sacrifice to save everyone, I can literally see it now, him standing on a precipice with Sophie running towards him and Lady Gisela taunting him, trying to get him on her side and then somehow he succumbs to his power taking him and his mother with him but not before telling Sophie he loves her. I mean seriously! It would be epic. Which I was I absolutely detest the thought, I need Keefe and Sophie together to become a bad match and show everybody that it means nothing and fight against the prejudiced ways of the elves.

This next part is about theories for Sophie's father:

Over time I've heard many theories for who Sophie's dad could be, Elwin, Quinlin, Kenric, etc. but instead of throwing out a random I'm going to list out who I believe are the most popular candidates and who I think it is, And yes I believe it's a character already introduced, It would make a way better plot line and it just makes more sense.

First things first I think it's safe to assume that it's neither Keefe's dad or a Vacker as that would've caused some drama with Mr. Forkle.

Possible candidates:
Kenric
Quinlin
Elwin
Grady
Gethen
Tiergan

First I'll start with who I think it's not and why

(Or you can go directly to the end to see who I think it is)

Kenric: I don't think it's Kenric for a lot of reasons but I'll summarize it, Forkle said they didn't know each other and although he could have been lying it makes a lot of sense why he would want to avoid the two parents knowing, and even if he had been lying why couldn't he tell Sophie after he died who he was? Before she knew Oralie was her mother? All in all I've never favored this theory.

Quinlin: To put it simply Quinlin is a bit of a boring character, he's not brought up a lot and when he is he never tends to show special attention to Sophie, in fact he seems entirely bored and inattentive to her when she's around, his wife is part of part of the black swan which you could argue means he has a connection (even if he claims he didn't know) but even so the fact that he had a connection to the black swan could also show why he wouldn't be the father, why not tell Livvy? Why not have kids with Livvy instead of through an experiment?

Elwin: this seems to be a favorite among people but honestly I can't tell why, I think it's because many people like the idea of him being her father but in all honestly I don't like it or agree with it. First off, when Elwin first meets her he does seem intrigued but in more of a, wow this is a strange child who is scared of doctors, not in a "oh my gosh it's my daughter"sort of way. Also if he was her father then honestly he's a bit of a bad person, in Legacy when Sophie is searching for her parents she mentions how Mr. Forkle won't tell her who her parents are and Elwin says, "you definitely deserve to know that." And while this could've been a way to trick her I don't think that's a credit to his character, I believe that if Elwin was her father he would tell her and he hasn't so I do not believe he is.

Grady: I don't think it's Grady because first off that would be an incredibly boring plot line, a whole wow it's literally just Grady this whole time, there's no reason why he couldn't just tell her, and even if their was a reason at first I believe Grady would've told her later on as they grew to trust each other.

Gethen: Now this one is an interesting theory, I won't say I can totally rule it out because it would be an interesting turn of events but I don't think it's him for a majority of reasons, 1) he's part of the Neverseen, 2) he's hurt Sophie and her friends and maybe this could be a cover but I really don't think so, he's been captured by the black swan before, he's helped with the death of the other Mr. Forkle so unless it's some big revenge plot it wouldn't make much sense

And now, my theory!

Tiergan: Why you ask? There's literally so. Many. Reasons. First off in book one when he first meets Sophie he is completely shocked, and while yes you could chalk this up to him being apart of the black swan I don't think it's all about that, we know that Mr. Forkle kept tabs on her, meaning he probably knew instantly that Fitz had found her and Mr. Forkle had plenty of time to tell his fellow council members about her visiting the Lost cities and being with the Vackers, his shock at seeing her could have just been about the black swan but it's also too much of an reaction for me to toss away as he usually appears quite calm throughout the series. Also, throughout the series Tiergan is always know to help Sophie along, he doesn't go above and beyond but he does agree to mentor her, he advises her, he even comforts her at specific times like when Alden has his memory break and he offers her comfort when bringing her to see the 2nd Mr. Forkle. It's clear he has care for Sophie and although you could chalk that up to the black swan he does pay an extra bit of attention to her. Another reason is convenience, he's part of the black swan so it's be easy to use him as a donor, and he doesn't know much about Oralie as far as we can tell meaning that's not a conflict of interest, it's also told in Nightfall that only Forkle knew the parents and for this theory to be true that had to have been a lie, but I think that honestly makes sense, if Tiergan was a parent it seems more likely to be a question in judgement in the collective, so I think it would work that this had to be kept secret from even the collective.

Now. Here is where I get really technical in my best reasons for why he's the father, in Legacy we hear a lot of theories and reasons for theories and there's some things I find quite interesting. When Sophie takes the green pill and her abilities change there are two types of people who react so intensely to this, (which you can find the reference to this evidence in legacy on page 662) telepaths, and empaths. Now this could simply be because Keefe and Fitz were both holding her hand during her transformation (how fitting hm?) but later on when Sophie is talking to Oralie she mentions how her enhancing is extra strong for both telepaths and empaths, which she then on figures out that Oralie is her mother, so if the reason why her enchanting reacts to empaths is because her biological mother is an empath then we can only assume that her father is a telepath in order to bring about the same affect, this is my strongest reason, their have been many hints through subtext and more lines then I remember that convince me that Sophie's biological father is a telepath, and inevitably Tiergan, in all honestly I love this theory, I've always liked Tiergan as a character and although he hasn't been a father to Sophie he has been there when he can as has always done right by her.

Sooo thanks for reading my rant if you got here. Also is anyone interested in hearing my theories on anything else?
Ideas: Fitz and where his future his leading, if he will indeed add to the Vacker Legacy, What I think the Neverseen is up to, etc. I might start a small theory ranting book. Would love some feedback

Thanks for reading!
