"Hey," Maddie smiled faintly as she walked over to the park bench with Lizzie on her leash to where Aaron was waiting to meet her.

"Well if it isn't my favourite party animal," Aaron greeted the younger girl with a friendly smile. "Gotta say, I was happy to finally hear from you," he added.

Maddie couldn't help but laugh slightly, "It would have been sooner if I had my phone," she told him.

"I get it. Are you still grounded now?" Aaron wondered.

"Unfortunately," Maddie stated as she exhaled a sigh.

"Ah, well does suck. I was hoping to hang out with you more," Aaron couldn't help but grin at the younger girl.

"Likewise," Maddie said as she smiled slightly. "I was lucky enough to be able to get out for a walk as an excuse to meet up with you," she told him.

"Oh, and who is this then?" Aaron bent down to pet Lizzie's fur as she happily barked and waggled her tail. "Is she yours?" he wondered.

"Oh no, I stole her from my neighbour and just decided to take her for a walk," Maddie couldn't help but smirk.

"Really?" Aaron glanced up surprised.

"No, I'm joking," Maddie couldn't help but grin at the older boy. "Mrs Douglas doesn't have any pets. This is Lizzie, my puppy that I got on my birthday," she explained.

"Well, she's cute... Just like her owner as well," Aaron said as he flirted with the blonde.

Maddie instantly started to blush, "Thanks," she mumbled unable to say anything else right now.

"It's okay. So, I take it that you don't have much time out of the house?" Aaron questioned.

"Not really but it's cool," Maddie told him. "I'll just tell them that I took the long way back home, they won't question it," she said as she smiled slightly.

Maya glanced at the clock on the wall for at least the third time now, "Maddie's been gone for a while now, right? Maybe one of us should call her and check-in," she suggested.

"Bella, I'm sure that she is fine," Carina reassured her wife. "She's getting some fresh air, she hasn't left her bedroom in a week so this will be good for her. I'm sure she will be back soon," she told her.

Maya exhaled a sigh and nodded, "You're right, I'm just in the overprotective worried mom mode right now, I'm sure that she is fine like you said," she told her wife. "So, how about that offer on the shower sex?" she questioned seductively.

"Now, that is something that I do like the idea of," Carina smiled as she pulled her wife gently in the direction of the bathroom. "You know, just as long as you're not too busy watching that show you seem so obsessed with of course?" she teased her wife.

"I always have time for you, honey," Maya told her wife as she smiled and leaned in to kiss the brunette on the lips. "Besides, I can just catch up on it later," she added.

Carina pulled away from her wife and playfully swatted her arm, "Maya!" she exclaimed.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding, " Maya wrapped her arms around her wife and kissed her again. "But you know, it would be interesting to add a TV in the bathroom though," she commented as Carina started to pull her top off.

"Bella, no! We're not doing that," Carina objected as she glared at her wife

Maya couldn't help but laugh as the brunette lowered herself down to unbutton her pants, "I'm just joking honey," she told her as the brunette pushed them down and began to kiss the blonde's thighs.

"Good," Carina stated as she planted kisses on Maya's thighs.

The blonde let out a soft moan as her wife continued to plant kisses on her upper thighs, "Le–Let's move this into the shower," she stated as she threw her head back in pleasure.

"I couldn't agree with you more," Carina grinned wickedly as the two women moved their passionate lovemaking into the shower. "You like it when I do this, Bella?" she teased.

"O–Oh god yes, yes, keep–keep going," Maya threw her head back as she continued to enjoy the pleasure that her wife was giving her and couldn't help the loud moans that filled the shower as she allowed her wife to work her magic.

"So, how have you been?" Aaron wondered as they stood in the grass field as the two of them watched as Lizzie ran around freely off the lead. "You know, since the party. We didn't get much time to talk," he added.

"Uh, well, my uncle died last week," Maddie confessed quietly.

"What? Shit, I'm sorry to hear that, Maddie," Aaron told the blonde and started to dig around in his pockets, "Here," he paused and pulled a packet of cigarettes out. "You smoke still, right? One of these might help," he said as he offered one out to her along with the lighter.

"Thanks," Maddie accepted the cigarette and lighter from his hands and sparked up.

Aaron turned to look at the blonde sorrowfully, "What happened? If you don't mind me asking of course," he said as he took a cigarette out for himself and lit up.

"No, it's fine... he is– well, he was a firefighter and there was an explosion in one of the houses that killed him," Maddie explained as she began to get upset and stumbled over her words. "My auntie's in the hospital as well, so the past week has been well, pretty shitty I guess," she told him

"Damn, I'm really sorry to hear that," Aaron frowned as he listened as the blonde explained, "Are you okay?" he questioned.

Maddie shrugged her shoulders loosely, "I'm just... I'm sad about it but he wasn't my real uncle, you know? He was just one of the firefighters that worked with my mom but he– he was like family and he was a good guy. I'm going to miss him," she spoke quietly as she smiled faintly.

"I understand," Aaron agreed as he continued to smoke.

Maddie pulled her phone out of her pocket and glanced at the time, "I suppose that I should head back before my moms' send out a search party for me," she said.

"That's probably a good idea," Aaron chuckled slightly. "Do you want a lift back? I have my car and I haven't been drinking this time around," he joked.

"I don't think it would be a good idea if I turned up in a guy's car, my mom would totally freak out," Maddie said as she laughed.

"Yeah, that's also true," Aaron stated amusedly.

Maddie looked over to the grass and spotted the small dachshund puppy that was running around, "Lizzie! Come here girl," she called out as the puppy immediately ran over to her. "I'll see you around again sometime?" she asked.

"Sure," Aaron nodded in agreement. "And hey, in the meantime, if you need to talk then you can just text me at any point, alright? I'll always answer," he told her.

"Thanks," Maddie smiled faintly as she bent down and clipped the leash back onto Lizzie's collar. "And thanks for coming out to meet me, it was good to speak to you. I'll see you later Aaron," she said.

"No problem, it was good to finally see you in person," Aaron said as he smiled. "Bye, Maddie!" he waved.

"Bye," Maddie waved back as she headed in the opposite direction to walk back home.

"O–Oh yeah, right there," Maya moaned aloud as she had her back pressed against the wall while Carina worked her way down her body, pressing kisses against the blonde's skin while her fingers were inserted inside and giving her pleasure. "Fuck, Car!" she screamed out.

"Do you like that, Bella?" Carina glanced up at her wife and smirked. "You want me to keep going?" she teased.

"Oh god yes. Yes, keep going!" Maya moaned aloud.

"I'm back!" Maddie called out from the other side of the door.

Maya grunted in response as she continued to enjoy the blissful moment, "Ma–Maddie's back. We need to– we need to," another scream broke her speech as Carina kept her fingers inside of her wife. "We need to go check she is okay," she said.

Carina paused and glanced up at her wife, "She'll be okay for five minutes," she said as she smiled faintly and continued to kiss her wife's body. "She's old enough to occupy herself," she added.

Maya nodded faintly as she arched her back and leaned against the shower wall, "Okay, okay, you're right," she said as she allowed her wife to continue. "Just five more minutes," she told the blonde.

Carina grinned wickedly at her wife and continued to make Maya scream, "I told you that I am always top," she teased her wife.

"Shut up," Maya playfully scowled at her wife and allowed the brunette to continue to take control. "God, Car! You really do know how to work your fingers," she told the brunette.

"Mom? Mama?" Maddie called out.

Carina exhaled a sigh and stopped what she was doing, "The Bambina wants us. We should go find out if she is okay," she told her wife.

Maya groaned out in annoyance as Carina removed her fingers from inside of us, "Damn kid interrupting us," she muttered as the brunette chuckled. "I'll go see what she needs. Finish your shower," she told her before she kissed her wife on the lips.

"Okay, Bella," Carina hummed in agreement as Maya stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around her before she opened the door and walked out.

"Hey kiddo," Maya appeared in Maddie's doorway as the teenager sat back on her bed and caught up on delayed homework. "Sorry, I was... I was in the shower," she spoke quickly.

"I know, I heard..." Maddie said as she scrunched her face up in disgust.

Maya chuckled slightly, "Oh, you heard?" she asked awkwardly.

"Yeah, and well, I wish that I didn't..." Maddie complained to the older blonde. "You know, I'm pretty sure that the whole apartment complex did," she added.

"Okay, alright, this isn't a conversation that I want to have with my fourteen-year-old," Maya quickly changed the subject, she didn't want to discuss this at all. "Catching up on homework?" she asked.

"Yeah. Figured there was no better time to do it," Maddie stated as she glanced down at the notepad on her bed.

Maya nodded in agreement, "Well, there is that," she agreed. "So, how was your walk?" she asked.

"Yeah, it was fine," Maddie said as she shrugged her shoulders.

"Good, it's good that you got some fresh air," Maya said as she smiled at her daughter. "We were starting to worry about you being stuck in your bedroom," she admitted.

"I'm fine, it's all fine," Maddie pushed her feelings aside. "Everything is totally fine," she mumbled.

Maya looked wearily at her daughter but decided not to push any further questions to avoid her daughter snapping, "You remember that Tia Andy will be here to look after you while mama and I go out, alright? So any problems then you just have to let her know," she added.

"I remember," Maddie said as she nodded in agreement.

"Alright, well, I'm going to go and get ready," Maya told her daughter before she headed back to her room to join her wife, who was now out of the shower and wrapped up in a cream-coloured towel. "You look so hot in a towel," she mumbled her thoughts aloud as she wandered over to her wife and started to lean around to Carina's neck to kiss it.

Carina bit her bottom lip to stop the moan from slipping out, "Bella, we can't. The Bambina will hear us," she told her wife in protest.

Maya moved to work her way down Carina's body, stopping to glance up at her wife with a small smirk on her face, "Then you'll just have to be quiet," she told her before she pressed gentle kisses on her wife. "Think you can do that, huh, honey?" she asked seductively.

"Fuck Bella," Carina continued to moan aloud.

"Ah, ah, ah. You need to be quiet," Maya couldn't help but chuckle lightly as she continued to pleasure her wife. "We can't have Maddie hearing us again," she added teasingly.

"So the table is booked for six o'clock as promised," Carina told her wife as she fixed her earrings and looked at her wife through the mirror in the bathroom. "Did Andy tell you what time she would be here?" she asked.

"Sometime after she finishes work around five," Maya exhaled a sigh as she leaned up against the doorframe of the bathroom, she hadn't quite gotten dressed yet as she planned to do since she was distracted by her wife. "I don't know Carina, it doesn't seem like the right time to be going out with everything going on..." she wandered off from her thoughts.

"Exactly," Carina said as she turned around to face her wife and walked over to her. "With everything going on, it'll be good for a distraction, Bella," she told her gently. "But if you really do want to cancel then we can always go another time if you would prefer," she said.

The blonde woman shook her head briefly, "No, no, let's still go out. You're right, the distraction will be good I suppose," she said quietly.

"Don't sound too convinced about it Bella," Carina joked with her wife. "Maya, I told you that I am with you, so I will support you, always and forever. If you would rather stay at home then we can do that, I can always run out of the grocery store and pick up some wine and takeout, it's your decision?" she offered kindly.

"No, no, let's go out," Maya insisted.

Carina nodded and smiled sympathetically, "Okay, well Andy will be here so you won't have to worry about the Bambina being on her own," she told her.

"Not that it would matter since she has barely left her bedroom at all over the past week apart from earlier when she went out for a walk," Maya stated as she sighed and turned to look across the hall at the teenagers' bedroom door that was shut once again. "I thought earlier was a breakthrough," she mumbled.

"It'll take some time Bella," Carina reminded her.

Maya nodded slightly, "I guess so. I'll go and get ready," she told her.

"Bene," Carina agreed and pressed a kiss against her wife's lips and moved past her to walk out to the hall. "Get ready and I'll go check if the Bambina needs anything at all," she told her gently.

"Okay," Maya agreed as she kissed her wife back and headed into their shared bedroom to get ready, she couldn't help but chuckle slightly when she noted that Lizzie was curled up asleep on their bed, petting her fur gently as she moved around to grab out her clothes.

"I'm back! Andy the babysitter has arrived!" Andy called out as she walked through the apartment, shutting the door after she was met by the excited pup. "Hey, girl," she bent down and gave Lizzie some fuss before she stepped further into the apartment.

"Hey," Maya walked out of the bedroom dressed in a tight-fitted dress paired with some heels while her hair was in soft curls.

"Oh wow, you look nice," Andy glanced up at her best friend and smiled as she shrugged off her jacket and hung it up on the coat rack. "Are you guys going out to somewhere fancy?" she asked.

"Thanks. Something like that," Maya chuckled lightly and then frowned. "I still don't even know if we should go out tonight like planned. None of this seems right with everything that is going on–," she explained her concern as Andy stopped her from speaking further.

"Okay, look, Maya, you already know what I am going to say. You pair need to go out, it'll be good for the distraction," Any encouraged her best friend. "Dean would have wanted you to go, and well Vic, if she was not in the hospital then she would be trying to join you guys," she joked with her best friend. "So go, enjoy the night with your wife and know that Maddie and I will be fine, alright?" she told her.

Maya let out a sigh and nodded, "Alright. I've left money on the side for pizza. Whatever you do, don't get a Hawaiin pizza or my wife will never let me or you live it down," she told her as she playfully joked.

"Who would even put pineapple on a pizza? That's just wrong," Andy scrunched her face up in disgust and shook her head. "Go on, go, have a good time!" she waved her hands off playfully.

"Ciao Andy," Carina appeared out of the bedroom with a dark burgundy pantsuit on with a pair of heels. "Thanks for tonight Andy," she told the brunette appreciatively.

"Not a problem. You know I love to spend time with Maddie when I can," Andy told them both and smiled. "And well, I'm grateful for you both allowing me to spend the past week on your couch. I swear it'll just be until I can find another place," she said.

"Well, for what it's worth when our daughter is not in one of her moods then you know she loves to spend time with you too," Maya told her best friend.

Carina nodded and smiled at the brunette, "Si and don't worry, you can stay as long as needed. Provided that you don't mind the puppy of course," she told her.

Andy smiled at both of them, "I am really grateful for putting me up. I couldn't stay at the houseboat, it was just too difficult being there without anyone else," she explained.

"We understand," Carina said as she smiled sympathetically. "Are you ready to go, Bella?" she asked the blonde woman.

Maya nodded in agreement, "Yes, I am ready to go," she said as she lifted her purse from the counter. "Thank you again for agreeing to look after Mads tonight, I hope she won't be much trouble for you," she told her.

"Oh come on, Maddie could never be any trouble for me, she'll be completely fine," Andy chuckled lightly. "Go on out both of you and have a good time!" she told them.

"Grazie Andy. We'll see you later," Carina waved to the fellow brunette before the couple headed over to the front door and opened it. "If you need us for anything then just call us!" she called aloud before she walked out.

"Anything at all, don't hesitate!" Maya called aloud before they were both out of sight.

Andy chuckled her head amusedly, of course, it would be her blonde friend that would be the overprotective one of them two.

"Hey, Mads?" Andy knocked on the fourteen-year-old's bedroom door. "Can I come in? Your mom left money for us to order pizza for dinner," she told her from the other side of the door.

"I'm not hungry," Maddie replied from inside the fall walls of her bedroom where she was currently sat on her bed, scrolling through her phone while she waited for Aaron to reply to the latest text she had sent him, they had been exchanging texts since they had met up at the park earlier on.

"Can I come in? It's difficult to have a conversation with a door," Andy said in a joking tone of voice from the other side of the door.

Maddie let out a huff, "Sure, come in!" she called out before the door opened to reveal the short brunette woman. "If you're going to ask me what pizza I want then the answer is still that I'm not hungry Tia," she told her.

"You know that you need to eat, Mads," Andy told the teenager as she leaned against the doorframe in the bedroom. "Come on, you can order whichever one you like, well any apart from Hawaiin because your mom told me that explicitly not let you order that but other than that, any of them," she told her softly.

"I'm not hungry, I don't want to eat pizza," Maddie told the older woman.

Andy faltered a frown slightly, "Alright, if you're not hungry then how about we watch one of those superhero films that you like?" she offered.

"I'm not in the mood to watch one of those either, Tia," Maddie told her.

"Mija, I know that you really haven't eaten a lot today so listen, I'm going to go ahead and order a BBQ chicken which I know that you like, alright?" Andy told the blonde teenager who looked slightly irked. "You don't have to eat all of it but I would like it if you would at least eat one slice, okay? Your moms' wouldn't be too pleased if they were to find out that you haven't eaten at all," she added.

"Alright, fine, whatever," Maddie muttered in agreement, if it would stop Andy currently fretting about what she ate then she would just agree for the sake of it.

Andy walked from the front door with the pizza and a bottle of Pepsi in her hand, "Mads! Pizza's here, come and get it while it's hot!" she called aloud as she set it on top of the kitchen counter and waited for the teenager to come sulking out of her bedroom.

Maddie slowly wandered out of her bedroom and appeared in the kitchen beside Andy, "Tia?" she asked hesitantly.

Andy moved around to the cupboard to grab a couple of plates out along with glasses, "Yeah, what's up, Mija?" she asked gently as she whipped her head around in concern to look at the blonde teenager.

"Can we..." Maddie shifted as she looked hesitant to say what she wanted too. "Can we go and visit Auntie Vic in the hospital? I miss her and I want to make sure that she's okay," she explained.

"Oh Mija, of course, I can take you to go and visit her," Andy agreed as she placed a slice of pizza on a plate and pushed it in Maddie's direction.

"Can we go tonight? I miss her and I want to make sure that she's okay," Maddie asked hopeful as she went and sat on the couch in the lounge.

"I don't know about that, Mads," Andy frowned slightly at the teenagers' words as she joined the younger blonde on the couch. "I'm pretty sure that hospital visiting hours are over now as well," she explained. "How about we go tomorrow, okay? I'll talk to your moms' when they're back and then we'll go surprise your Auntie Vic," she told her.

"Please, Tia? Can't you speak to Miranda and ask her, just say that it's under special circumstances," The younger blonde all but pleaded with the brunette woman, she just needed to see Vic herself and make sure that she was okay. "I need– no, I have to make sure that she is okay. I–I can't lose her like we lost uncle Dean," she explained her feelings.

"Mija," Andy started to speak as her smile faltered when she heard what the younger blonde was saying. "Auntie Vic is going to be fine and we're not going to lose her," she told her softly.

Maddie shook her head slightly, "Please, Tia! I really need to see her," she stated as she slowly ate her slice of pizza, she wasn't in the mood to eat again.

Andy let out a sigh and nodded slightly, "Alright, I'll call Miranda and ask but I can't promise anything Mads," she told her.

"Thank you," Maddie said as she continued to pick at her pizza and eat it slowly.

"Do you think that Maddie's okay?" Maya questioned worriedly as she twirled her fork in her pasta.

"Bella, she's with Andy and she's in capable hands," Carina said as she picked up her glass of red wine and sipped at it slowly. "Besides, if there are any problems then Andy would call us and we're not too far away," she added.

"Right, you're right, of course," Maya said in agreement as she continued to eat a forkful of pasta. "You're right, we did need this tonight, the past week– it's been a lot and there's still the funeral, Vic's in hospital... The station is so quiet right now, it's eerie," she added.

Carina nodded in understanding and smiled slightly, "How's Jack handling it? He didn't look at all with it at the hospital," she wondered.

"Jack is... Well, he's pretty distraught," Maya told her wife honestly. "He's barely been at work– And when he does, he's not with it. I'm pretty sure that his new best friend has become a bottle of whisky," she explained.

Carina frowned slightly, "He's drinking?" she questioned in concern.

"Yeah, a fair bit than normal," Maya stated as she drank her wine. "Beckett has him on desk duty for the foreseeable anyways," she added.

"Well, that's probably for the best then," Carina said in agreement.

Just at that moment, Maya's phone pinged with a text notification and she grabbed her phone out to take a look, "Oh that's Andy now," she noted as she read over the text. "Everything's fine, she's just letting us know that she's taking Maddie to the hospital to visit Vic," she explained as she slid her phone back into her purse.

"See? I told you that Maddie would be fine, Bella," Carina smiled as she reached out to take a hold of her wife's hand. "I know that you can't help but worry though, it's only natural for a momma-bear to do that," she teased.

Maya couldn't but roll her eyes slightly and take a hold of her wife's hand, "I know that I'm overprotective but that's only because I have spent so many years wanting to be a part of her life and I couldn't but now is my chance to focus on that without Lane getting in the way," she explained.

"I know Bella," Carina said as she smiled at her wife. "You're the best mom that our girl could ask for and right now even when things are difficult, you're doing the best that you can for her and I love how overprotective you are, it's one of the many things that I love about you," she added.

"Alright, I spoke to Miranda," Andy pocketed her phone into her back jean pocket once she had finished texting Maya and turned her attention to the teenage girl. "She's agreed to let you come by the hospital," she told her.

"Really?" Maddie looked at her surprised from where she sat on the couch.

Andy nodded as she sat on the arm of the couch, "Yeah, come on. Grab your jacket and shoes and then we can head out," she gestured for the teenager to get off the couch.

Maddie was quick to jump off the couch and run over to where her jacket was hung up, "Thanks, Tia!" she exclaimed as she shoved her converse sneakers on. "Do my moms know we're going there?" she asked.

"It's all taken care of, they know we're heading to the hospital," Andy explained as the two of them left the apartment and the brunette climbed into her car, "Hop in, Mija," she added as she leaned over and opened the passenger door for the girl to get in.

"What if she's asleep?" Maddie wondered hesitantly as they walked through the corridors of the hospital.

"I doubt that she would be asleep yet Mija," Andy chuckled lightly as they approached her hospital room.

"It looks like she is asleep," Maddie pointed out as she noted the woman asleep in bed.

Andy nodded in agreement and walked into the room, "Hughes," she nudged her friend slightly. "Vic," she tried again as the woman stirred from her sleep. "Hey, got someone here that wanted to come and visit you," she motioned over to the blonde teenager who was standing at the end of her bed.

"He–Hey Andy," Vic groaned slightly as she moved to adjust herself in bed while Andy hugged her briefly and then smiled when she spotted the blonde. "Hey, squirt," she said.

"Hi, Auntie Vic," Maddie said as she smiled at the woman.

"What? Do I not get a hug or something, I'm not fragile or made of glass," Vic lightly joked with the teenager. "Get over here and give me a hug, squirt!" she exclaimed.

Maddie giggled slightly and moved towards the woman as she wrapped her arms around her, "Are you okay?" she questioned in concern.

"Oh you know, I feel like anybody that's had electric surged through their body," Vic said as she smiled weakly. "Gotta say that this is a nice surprise to see you both here," she told her.

"It was Maddie's idea," Andy said as she sat down on the chair beside the bed.

Maddie nodded in agreement, "But you're okay, right? Like you're really going to be okay?" she asked.

Both Andy and Vic frowned slightly as they looked at Maddie concerned.

"Yeah, I'm going to be fine squirt. I'm just in the hospital so they can keep an eye on me," Vic explained to the teenager best that she could, of course, she wasn't going to go in-depth about what happened.

"Are you sure?" Maddie repeated worriedly.

Vic nodded and smiled, "Yeah, you can't get rid of me that easy," she told her.

"Mija–" Andy started to speak.

"But what... What if somethin' happens, what if you die?" Maddie questioned.

Andy and Vic both looked taken aback by the teenager's words.

"Mija, Auntie Vic is going to be absolutely fine. She'll be out of the hospital in no time," Andy reassured the teenager.

"You don't know that though! What if something happens?" Maddie exclaimed worriedly as she looked between the two women who just looked concerned.

"Hey, squirt... Look at me, alright? You don't have to worry about me," Vic told the fourteen-year-old blonde who sat beside her. "I'm going to be fine and I am not going anywhere," she told her.

"Do you promise?" Maddie questioned.

Vic nodded and wrapped her arm around the younger girl, "I promise squirt that I'm not going anywhere," she told her gently. "Now, come on, tell me all about what's been happening with you. Have you been staying out of trouble?" she asked.

"Of course, I always stay out of trouble," Maddie said as she smiled faintly.

"Okay," Andy couldn't help but laugh amusedly. "All of us here know that's not true at all. Especially when you got into trouble just a couple of weeks ago because you snuck out to a party," she told her.

"In my defence, it was a good party!" Maddie couldn't help but giggle.

"Uh-huh, yeah I am sure that it was," Andy said as she let out a laugh. "Especially when there is a boy involved, huh?" she said teasingly.

"What? There's a boy involved!" Vic exclaimed as her eyes widened in surprise. "Okay, now I need details and I need to know what happened," she told her.

"There's nothing to tell, we're just friends," Maddie said as a light blush covered her face. "We met at the party and we've been speaking a bit," she added.

"I don't believe that for a second," Vic stated amusedly. "You and this boy, whatever his name is, he best be nice to you!" she warned in a joking manner. "Or he'll have us all to deal with, so you tell him that you have a lot of protective aunties and uncles to look out for you!" she added.

"I got it but we're just friends auntie Vic," Maddie couldn't help but laugh amusedly.

Andy glanced briefly at the time on her watch, "Oh, it's getting late. We should think about heading back soon before your moms wonder where we are," she said.

Maddie pouted slightly, "Do we have to?" she asked.

"We do," Andy said as she stood up from the chair. "We'll come back another day and we discuss the latest gossip on the boy," she said jokingly.

"Tia! There's nothing to discuss," Maddie whined in protest.

Vic couldn't help but laugh in amusement, "I'll see you again soon squirt, alright? Just try and stay out of trouble if you can," she told her.

"I'll try," Maddie said as she leaned over and gave Vic a hug goodbye. "See you soon, auntie Vic!" she said.

"Bye squirt," Vic waved to the younger girl. "Bye, Andy. Thank you both for coming to visit," she said.

"Take care Vic and I'll see you soon," Andy said as she gave her friend a hug. "Come on trouble, let's get going," she gestured for her to follow her towards the door of the room.

"We're back!" Maya called out as they walked through the front door of the apartment. "Hello?" she called again as she was met by silence.

"I think that they might still be at the hospital, Bella," Carina stated as she placed her purse on the coffee table.

"I guess they might be," Maya said in agreement as she walked over to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator to grab a bottle of water. "I have fun tonight, it's been a while since we've done anything like that," she told her.

Carina hummed in agreement as she sat on the couch and removed her heels, "Yes. We should do that again sometime," she said as she smiled at her wife.

There was a commotion from outside the door.

"Sounds like they're back," Carina noted as she turned her head towards the front door as Maddie and Andy walked back through. "Hey," she greeted them.

"Hey," Maya looked at both of them and smiled. "Did you have a good time visiting the hospital?" she asked.

"It was good," Maddie said in agreement as she worked to take her converses off. "Im tired. I think that I'm going to go to bed, she said.

"Okay, Bambina. If you need anything then just shout us, alright?" Carina told the blonde teenager.

"Got it," Maddie said in agreement.

Maya moved towards her daughter and wrapped her arm around her, "Night kiddo," she said as she placed a kiss on the top of her head. "Just like mama says, if you need anything then just shout us, alright?" she told her.

"Yeah, alright. Goodnight mom," Maddie said and then walked over to Carina and Andy and gave them both a hug. "Goodnight Mama, goodnight Tia Andy," she added.

"Night Mija. Sleep well," Andy told the younger blonde.

"Goodnight Bambina," Carina told her daughter.

All three of them watched as Maddie slumped off towards her bedroom.

"I'm worried about her," Andy admitted.

Carina and Maya both looked at the brunette concerned.

"Did she speak to you about anything at all?" Maya asked her best friend.

"No, but at the hospital, she was asking Vic if she was okay repeatedly like she was worried that something was going to happen while she was in the hospital," Andy explained to both of the women. "Guys, she asked Vic if she was going to die like-- as Dean did," she confessed.

"What?" Carina asked confused and worried.

"I think... I think that it might be wise to get her to speak to someone about this, someone like a therapist," Andy told them.

"Si. I think that be wise," Carina stated.

Maya nodded in agreement, "I'll make some calls and see what we can do," she said as she sighed. "I thought she was doing okay but this is proving to be deeper than what we thought after all," she added.
