evan was sitting on the porch watching his husband and daughter Eden who was 6 she had yellowish with brown eyes, she had freckles and bright blue/brown eyes,
She was in denim shirts and a scooby doo shirt, while his husband was in a red sweater and black jeans with a pair of converses Connor had cut off his long hair months ago it was a medium length and curly it curled around his neck.
Evan picked at his blue shirt knowing his husband was nervous to see his mother, he hadn't seen her since the wedding and there was a massive fight. She got angry at connor because she had worn white and Connor asked her to get changed. Connir had said that he was fine to evan multiple times but evan knows connkr enough to know when he's nervous he sees it in connors eyes, and one night he woke up alone in bed, he found Connor sitting in Eden's room rocking her back and forth.
Evans phone buzzed he checked it and smiled it was his mother telling him she was at the door, evan had invited her over to surprise his daughter and more importantly Connor.
Evan texted back that they were around the back so she could go through the back gate
Connor was helping Eden on the monkey bars when he heard a familiar voice he turned and his eyes widened in shock when he saw heidi hugging evan
"Edies look who it is?" He smiled
"Help me, get down daddy," she kicked
"yeah, okay sweets, stop kicking you legs," Connor chuckled
He got her down and she went bolting screaming nana
Connor walking slowly waving
She lent into evan
" hes not okay, he looks like highschool him,"
" you don't think I don't know mum," evan hissed quietly
Connor wrapped his arms around evan giving him a kiss on the cheek
Eden had dragged off heidi
" sweetheart can we please talk?" Evan whispered
"Mmh yeah," Connor sighed
Evan sat down on the swings and Connor sat on the swing next to him, holding Evans hand as they gently swung
" con I'm worried about you,"
Connor tilted his head confused " what do you mean?"
Evan smiled softly " your scared to see your mum, and I completely understand, but love you're punishing yourself hurting yourself again, and its not okay," evan said
Connor looked away tears in his eyes
" I'm fine ev, I told you," Connor sighed letting go of Evans hand alittle, Evan was getting frustrated
" darling last time I heard you say those words in that tone," Evan sighed " I found you half dead with a whole bottle of pain killers in your stomach and spilt all over the floor in the bathroom,"
Connor stood up and walked off to sit on the grass, looking away from Evans he knew evan was right but it scared him, to see him spirl that far he heard footsteps and a sigh next to him
" con, we're a team, you can tell me anything,"
" I- i just I'm terrified of seeing her, I know she doesn't like you, and I'm spirling bad, and I like I feel like a shit dad, I- I can't do it evan, I'm exhausted,"
Evan grabbed connors face ," hey, you are a great dad, you are there for her all the time,"
Evan gave Connor a kiss each time he spoke
" you are handsome. Talented. Caring. Kind. You are the sweetest man in the world, we should talk to doctor Jackson about your meds,"
Connor.nodded breaking down in tears burying his head in his husbands shoulder
" I fucking suck," Connor sobbed
"No no you don't," evan lent against the back fence holding his husband gently shushing him
A smaller hand started rubbing connors back
"Eden sweetheart what are you doing here," Evan asked
"Nana, she told me you needed us,"
Connor smiled and grabbed Eden with his other arm
" why are you crying daddy?" Eden asked
" oh sweetheart I'm just sad,"
Eden jumped in him hugging him " dont be sad,"
Connor looked at evan smiling
" hey eds is daddy a good daddy?" Evan asked
" yes, the best daddy in the world,"
Eden kissed her dad slobbery
Connor laughed and kissed her head
"Daddy come with me," Eden pull on connors hand
"Why? Where is daddy going?" Evan asked grateful for his mother
"I'm giving him his fathersday present,"
" but fathers day isn't untill this weekend eds,"
" daddy's sad he deserves a present, you give me presents after doctors appointments,"
Connor smiled and stood up his back still hunched as Eden dragged him into the house evan trailing behind.
Eden told Connor to sit on the lounge and to shut his eyes
When a thick piece of paper was placed in his hands
"Open," Eden shouted
Connor opened his eyes and what he saw was a drawing of him, another two stick figures with the words papa and Eden written over them neatly
" oh Eden, this is so good. Your definitely the next Picasso, I'm framing this," connor smiled placing the drawing on thr coffee table and picking his daughter up and putting her on his lap hugging her Eden crawled off her dads lap sat on the couch as Connor turned on the children's channel. He eventually snuck off and put the drawing in a old frame and hung it up on a old hook.
He felt Evan hands wrap around his waist
" are you okay?"
" yeah, still absolutely terrified for dinner but, I'll be good, I have you and Eden, everything will be fine,"
" my mum could stay for dinner, your mums leaving right after, she can stay, Eden loves her look at them,"
Connor glanced over to Eden and heidi watching the scoobydoo movie
"Yeah, that would be nice, even i was just worried about becoming my dad, I'm scared of fucking her life up as much as he fuvked up mine or worse j could end up like your dad evan,"
Evans turned his husband once again and kissed him " how many times do I have to tell you, you are a brilliant dad, you wound fuck up her life,"
Connor smiled and kissed evan again
" I love you so fucking much," Connor replied kissing him after every word
Connor looked down at himself " I'm covered in dirt, and snot,"
Evan chucked " go have a shower and get changed, I'll get dinner ready,"
Connor thanked evan and kissed him gently
Connor rushed off into thr master on sweet bathroom and turned on the shower
Evan got Eden a cut up green apple and a water with coolaid
While he got the spaghetti ready.
Connor was just finished blow drying his hair, he had changed into a navy V-neck and a pair of light blue jeans, he pulled on a pair of blue socks and walked out of there room, when there was a knock
"I'll get it dear," Connor called
Connor walked up to the door and took a deep breath he opened the door and saw his mother
" there's my boy,"
Connor smiled but then his eyes drifted and he saw someone he never want to see again
" m-miguel what are you doing here?"
" I don't know, but jesus fuck you got hotter,"
"Mum," connor asked angry
"Oh darling, I know you and ethan split, that relationship never would have worked, so reignite old flames," she smiled and pushed past Connor
Connor was frozen in place
"Too horny to move?" Miguel asked
Evan rounded the corner and saw his husband frozen his breathing rapid anger seething out of him, you could feel it
"Oh," he heard cynthia
"Your still married?" She questioned disappointed
"Not for long he won't, look at him, too horny to speak, like old times," Miguel touched connors chest
Connor panicked and shoved Miguel back rushing out of the room and slamming there bedroom door shut.
" Miguel get out of this house, now," evan threatened remembering the knife he had in his hand
Heidi ran to the bedroom Eden trailing behind
"Eden sweetie, let's play a game," heidi crouched down to her level
" okay," Eden replied exaggerating her nods
"I need you to, hide, somewhere in this house, and not come out until I say," heidi smiled
Eden nodded and ran off in the direction of her favourite hiding spot, her toy box in her room.
Heidi gently knocked on the door
"Connor, is everything okay, can I come in,"
She gently twisted the door handle and pushed in open to see Connor on the floor rocking back and forth, she had flashbacks to evan, in highschool, she rushed over to him and helped him, when she heard shouting coming from her son
"HOW DARE YOU BRING THIS-THIS IMBICILLE INTO MY- OUR HOME, WITH OUR DAUGHTER HERE CYNTHIA, YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THAT ROTTEN EVIL MAN DID TO CONNOR NOR DO YOU CARE," he shouted
Heidi was confused the only time shes seen evan like this was when somone mugged connor and the police didn't believe Connor.
"You okay?" She gently asked rubbing small circles on his back
"I'm, okay, just shocked me," Connor smiled wiping his tears away
" I'm just going to wash my face, cause I know I look like utter dog shit," Connor chucked weakly
She stayed with Connor until he walked out of the room because she knew about the suicide attempt
Connor saw evan still trying to get Miguel out of there house he lent on Evans shoulder
"Its okay, its just a dinner, we can do this, we have heidi remember," Connor whispered and kissed evans cheek
Evan sighed and and turned to Connor " are you sure your okay? I know what happened?"
"I know, it'll be the worst night of my life but atleast I have you and Eden," Connor smiled
Cynthia had pushed past the couple and sat down on the couch turning on the tv and putting her feet on thr table
Connor stared at Miguel
" I'm married, asshole, I have a kid," connir stated and wrapped a hand around Evans waist walking them into the kitchen
" you want to stay in here," Evan asked
"Please, I don't feel like being s entertainer for them," Connor smiled
"Of course,"
Soon Eden came running out from her hiding spot screaming as heidi was chasing her
Connor ran out of the kitchen sighing in relief when he saw heidi
" sorry, I thought-" Connor glanced at Miguel " never mind,"
Heidi nodded
"Can you please make sure she is kept out of trouble tonight, I'm going to help evan on the kitchen," Connor whispered
"Cynthia this is the only time your meeting your granddaughter," Connor stated
Cynthia turned her head and saw the 6 year old
Connor sat on the bench "how can you be this calm in a house witha man that verbally abused you and sexually did," Evan asked cutting a pepper
Connor smiled and touched his chin making him look up at him
" because you make me feel safe ev, you help me let my inner child heal and all that bull," Connor smiled kissing him gently
Evan smiled blushing
" I can still make you blush," connor laughed
"You can't say that cute shit without a warning," evan chuckled
They finished the food and placed it on thr table, connir sat at the end amwith evan sitting to the left of him and Eden sitting to the right of with Eden had heidi next her.
They silently ate dinner Connor avoided looking at Miguel. Evan held onto connors thigh Connor hand his hand on Evans hand
" so Connor why are you and ethan still together,"
Connor clenched his teeth " its Evan mum if you even bothed to care, and we love each other and that's enough,"
"Oh Connor, what happened to the old you, you actually in a loving relationship with Miguel and not a relationship about work and child care, oh how you would scream when Miguel was over,"
Connor gripped Evans hand hard
"I love Evan more, he actually loves me," Connor sighed
Cynthia rolled her eyes
They finished dinner and they were sitting at the table drinking
"Come on connor why not, leave this stupid life, and come back with us," Cynthia sighed
Connor stood up dishes clattering
"Heidi can you please take Eden out for icecream?" Connor grunted, fire in his eyes
Heidi nodded and led Eden out of the house
"CYNTHIA WHAT FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU, EVAN IS MY HUSBAND, I FUCKING HATE MIGUEL, HE VERBALLY ABUSED ME, I DONT WANT TO SEE BOTH OF YOU AGAIN, IF YOU STEP NEAR THIS HOUSE AGAIN ILL KILL YOU, CYNTHIA YOU NEVER GAVE A SHIT ABOUT ME, AND IF YOU EVER WONDERED WHY I SCREAMED WHEN HE WAS HERE AND MY DOOR WAS LOCKED, HE WAS RAPING ME. I WAS IN PAIN," Connor shouted tears streaming down his face
" GET OUT NOW," he finished
His mother and ex stormed out of the house
Connor fell back into the chair putting his head in his hands he felt Evans hand rub his back
"Its okay," evan whispered and continued to whisper caring things to him
"I'm okay," connir said looking up
He had a small smile on his face
"Really,"
Connor nodded and kissed evan
"All because you were here," connor kissed him again.
They ended up in bed, lazily kissing each other lazily there chest heaving
"Eden and heidi should be home soon," Evan whispered
Connor smiling and pressed another kiss to evan. While evan trailed his fingers down connors spine and different patterns, Connor rolled onto his back evan proceeded to kiss connors neck, shoulder anywhere he could think of.
Soon he heard the front door open, they rushed to get ready forgeting the Hickeys.
They walked out blushing
"Boys," heidi smiled holding a sleeping Eden
"Here ma, let me take her," evan stepped forward
Evan carried his sleeping child and to her room, while heidi gossiped with Connor
" did you two?"
" yeah,"
"What about?"
" yelled at them to never come around again or ill kill them,"
Heidi hugged Connor " good job,"
Connor yawned and heidi pulled back
He flipped on thr tv and lent back on the lounge shutting his eyes eventually drifting off to sleep
Evan came put and saw his husband nodding off to sleep
" lets go to bed,"
Connor jumped and nodded, evan wrapped his arm around connors waist and walked to there bed Connor waddled to the walk in and grabbed a pair of Evans pajama shorts some sweaters falling off the shelf and pulled them on them on he fell onto his side of the bed and sighed shutting his eyes
Evan chucked and laid next to him on his chest, Connor rolled and rested his head on Evans chest
"Your loved, your kind, you are my love," Evan whispered
Connor nuzzled his head into Evans chest
In seconds he was asleep Evan was reading his book when the door opened and it was Eden,
" I had a nightmare," she whimpered
Evan sighed and pulled the blankets up
Eden giggled and ran to cuddle her dads
Evan had everything, he was so happy nothing could change his life
" thats my duck pingu," Connor grumbled
Eden giggled "daddy sleep talks,"
Evan nodded
They all snuggled falling asleep in the king bed. While heidi slept in the guest room down the hall.
